This is one of the most terrible dining experiences I’ve had in 43 years. The manager on shift is not fit to run an ant farm. Upon finally making it to the register and placing my order I did encounter Ms. Mashun she was so very nice and extremely pleasant. I order 2 bowls of gumbo and pecan candy. They did not have any so Ms. Mashun had to notify the manager for a refund. Mashun retrieved her from the kitchen. The manager did not greet nor acknowledge me. She ran a card walked off and left. I sat at the register for an additional ten minutes. Ms. MaShun went to get the manager again, when Ms. MaShub came back informed me that the manager was making a salad. I told her I’d just sit and wait for her to finish, I was tired of standing at this point. Once I sat down I handed my card to the manager and informed the manager about my refund. She attempted to make Ms. Mashun seem incompetent which was the most unprofessional action of the evening. The manager brought out our 2 bowls of gumbo in a styrofoam container. The gumbo was watered down and filled with rice and okra. It was room temputure at best. I asked the manager about it and she told me that I had the correct amount. Two scoops of rice and two scoops of gumbo. After this is when she finally brought out our beverages. After we finished eating, we didn’t not eat half of it. As I’m ready to walk out I remembered they still had my debit card. So I had to wait another ten minutes for a refund I had already waited on.
If this establishment gave away bowls of gumbo for free I still would not come back.
