Fort Lauderdale’s Most Festive Bars for the Winter | Eater

"Every fruity frozen rum drink you ever wanted out of a beach holiday is available on Two Georges’ menu, plus some you may not remember. Let us remind you: Miami Vice, Rum Runner, Dirty Banana, Bahama Mama, and the way subtle Monkey Punch with BACARDÍ Orange Rum. No, it’s not a rule that when you’re dockside dining in December and it’s 80 degrees you must drink rum and eat seafood — but what’s the better option? Note that this is a prime viewing area for the annual Boat Parade, but it’s first come first served. Late arrivals might not even get standing room — seriously, the place gets that packed even during a typical Friday evening happy hour." - Vox Creative

This checks all the boxes! Great food, service, and views! This is a large covered outdoor restaurant right on the intercoastal with docking available and ample parking. The food selections were very good. We had a party of 6, and we're seated immediately for dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. The prices were reasonable as well. Our tab was a little over $200 for 6 people with alcohol and an appetizer.

Tried the Cove for their Catch (Speared) & Cook with the Chiefycrew…the experience was fantastic with great tasting fish and lobsters we caught (speared) and brought. Upscale dining with a waterfront view but not the expensive cost. $20 per person including two sides and served family style. We’ll be back

Mixed Feelings: Great Vibes, Service & Food Missed the Mark This spot has a pretty good vibe , nice atmosphere for hanging out. However, my experience with the service and food was a letdown. Servers seemed unfamiliar with the drink i was looking for, which was frustrating. I also tried to pick a healthy food option, but it came dripping in unhealthy dressing and was a huge portion( I already had half of my salad before i toke the pic!) While the price was okay, the poor service and food execution were disappointing. The ambiance has potential, but they need to step up other areas.

The mahi with mango salsa & rice was delicious! Loved the presentation too! The rest of the family also enjoyed their food. They didn’t have many desert options but the key lime pie was great! We visited on 03/29/25 at about 8pm and sat close to the water, there was a nice breeze and such a nice atmosphere! I don’t remember our servers name sadly but he was attentive and wonderful at serving us. I highly recommend this restaurant in Deerfield beach!

Review: The Cove Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar The Cove is an absolute gem—an inviting waterfront spot that perfectly blends casual elegance with laid-back coastal charm. From the moment you walk in, you're struck by the expansive, voluminous ceilings and oversized fans gently turning overhead, giving the space a breezy, open-air feel. The view overlooking the marina is nothing short of stunning, offering a serene backdrop whether you're enjoying a sunset dinner or a relaxed afternoon drink. Service is another standout here—attentive without being intrusive. The staff is friendly, professional, and clearly committed to creating a pleasant dining experience. The menu offers a well-rounded variety of options, with something to please every palate, from tropical-inspired dishes to more traditional favorites. Whether you're stopping in for a meetup at the tiki bar or settling in for a full meal, The Cove delivers on atmosphere, service, and flavor. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind by the water.

I recently dined at The Cove, and I can't say enough great things about our server, Lauren! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for our evening. Lauren was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations on both the seafood specialties and the drinks. What truly stood out was her passion for the food and the experience she created for us. Lauren went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. The Cove itself is a lovely spot, but it was Lauren's exceptional service that truly made our visit memorable. I highly recommend dining here, and if you can, ask for Lauren—she's a gem!

I was so excited to try this place out and even though it has a nice atmosphere and okay staff, the food was absolutely appalling. I ordered a house salad with balsamic vinaigrette, but it came tasting like sweet and sour chinese dressing drenched in soy sauce - I order salad everywhere and don’t usually have a problem with different dressings but this was terrible, I couldn’t take more than a bite. I also ordered buffalo chicken wings that came dryer than a desert, with absolutely 0 sauce. My husband ordered a cheeseburger that came tasting like straight up fish, they clearly grill everything on the same surface, terrible. Would not recommend for dinner whatsoever - the appetizers weren’t that bad, we got calamari and fries, so maybe for drinks at the bar would be alright. Anyway, we ended up dropping $70, barely ate any food and left there starving.

Google
Review based on 1 visit for date night*** Had such high hopes for this place. Ambiance incredible. Can’t beat the water….you just can’t. Unfortunately, our waitress left us many times, lemon and salt needed to be added to the fish dip, chowder and other items to the wings. Mahi was over cooked and chewy. Sauce was great and the platter was beautiful they just missed on almost everything. Yes I’ll be back. I assume something had to be out of the ordinary because reviews are so good. Example: we ordered fish dip and it was delivered almost instantly. We thought to ourselves this is a great start or scary lol. Seems to have been sitting out ready for someone to order. Cove, thanks for changing 2 George’s and I will be back hopefully to a different experience.

Yelp
I'm beyond disappointed with this establishment. Nearly every time we've ordered, the food has been wrong. Tonight was the last straw. I ordered a simple chicken quesadilla and a salmon salad. Instead, they confused the order, made me wait, and when I finally got my food and drove just a few minutes home, the salmon was cold and missing the sour cream I specifically requested 2 of. When I called, the manager Toni was dismissive and implied I was only upset about the sour cream, completely missing the bigger issue: yes also my husband was upset speaking to me about how we should throw away the food since they don't to fix the problem after wasting my time then Toni proceeds to tell him to talk to him like a man. Yeah Toni, my husband was upset, he asked me not to order from you guys but why is the GM or whatever he said he was speaking to a paying customer that way most of all it makes me so upset. He was very dismissive. this place constantly messes up orders. Even when we came with friends few months ago, everyone's food was wrong. We let it go then, but this has become a pattern. I waited about 45 minutes for my food. When I first ordered, I was outside in the parking lot. Did a couple phone calls that I had to do and realized it was 20 minutes past the time so I go to the bar to pick up my food and they tell me they haven't even put it in. Seriously? Then I was like whatever things happen then I put in the order again after I patiently waited at the bar to even ask for my food the first time. Went to my car waited another 20 or so minutes just to give me cold food that's really what's pissing me off. They just can't get it right. For $31, I expect hot food and the items I ordered--not repeated mistakes and a rude attitude. Instead of offering a proper solution while I was still right down the street, I was told to "come back tomorrow." That's not acceptable. Then I said you know what I'm just gonna come back and return your food and give me a refund. He did not want to. The food was untouched. I'm not eating cold salmon. We will not be returning, and neither will our friends and neighbors who have had the same experience. The food can be good when done correctly, but the inconsistency, lack of care, and poor customer service make it not worth the time or money.

Yelp
Easy menu to read Great food , great service despite the huge crowds , nice ambiance and seats surrounding by the relaxing and peaceful water view .... The choices of the platters met our expectations and definitely will be back Driving couple hours to make it to this restaurant was worth it for sure! After dinner, walking on the restaurant dock was great for taking souvenir photos....

Yelp
Very nice lunch on the water in a beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere! Two fabulous dogs wete visiting with their parents, so cute!!! On big one small. Lovely server, AMY. Les had the cove burger, he said it was very tasty and i had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, it was good, but i should have gotten the fish and chips, oh well, next time. We both brought home half our lunches! Very reasonable!

Yelp
Nice place by the canal. Open air feel with a breeze from the overhead fans makes it comfortable even in a scorching moly hot day. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese and the fish and chips. Both dishes were huge! The lobster mac was very rich and creamy and the breadcrumbs on top gave a nice texture. They knocked it out of the park with this one! The fish and chips had fresh, crispy and moist fish. The batter was well seasoned and the fries were the right amount of salty. It gets busy here and the service is a little slow, but it's worth the wait.

Yelp
We came across a few reviews for this spot and decided to check it out for a laid-back dinner and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was on point from the start: live music, intercoastal view, and plenty of outdoor seating. There's a large bar and patio area, plus covered dining, but on this Saturday night, everyone was on the patio. We started with the ahi tuna nachos and wow easily a reason to come back on their own. We also ordered the New England lobster roll and the mahi mahi sandwich, both fresh and flavorful. Our server was quick and super friendly, which we especially appreciated with a toddler. Definitely planning to return to try more from the menu (and the drink list next time!).

Yelp
I liked the restaurant. It had a good atmosphere and the food was great. The restaurant seems to be popular around here. Everyone knows The Cove and now I can see why. This restaurant is casual with a chill atmosphere. There is so much room inside. It's one big open area. The best thing was the view. It is right next to the intercostal, so you can see the beautiful boats go by. I was here for lunch. I tried the conk fritters and loved them. The seared scallops tasted good. I liked the food. I found the service to be great and friendly. It is a place I can see the coming back. I signed up for events. I had a great experience.

Yelp
Came on a hot Saturday afternoon with a group of 18 friends for a casual, outdoor, fish focused lunch with live music. There was a big parking lot & valet available. The Cove Waterfront Tiki Bar is on the Intracoastal Waterway and I enjoyed the music & the boats passing by. We were covered so we didn't bake the big ass fans helped & the open air restaurant felt like a vacation. There is a dock right in front and many boats pulled up to dock and dine. The Cove has been here since 1963 and it's become an institution. I feel like I was here with my parents in the 90s. Jerry Lehman's duo played while I perused the menu . Michaela took good care of us, service was on point but she needed a hand clearing our large table. The Asian tuna salad looked appealing, as did the sandwiches burgers, fish plates, and appetizers. The drinks look like they were the sugary mixes so I had a a spicy Bloody Mary. My ahi tuna salad was huge, reasonable, fresh and really delicious. All of us enjoyed our meals. A 20% tip was added to our bill as we were a big group.

Yelp
We had a good lunch. We used to come here a lot many years ago. Back then it was a bit more run down/local tiki bar-ish and we even came here with my husband's kids. Last time I was here was with a girlfriend for a lobster special that was a couple years before covid. It's a tad more upscale/chic now. It has gorgeous wall decorations inside (it's still open air on 3 sides) and an area that looks almost like a jungle. The very large covered patio area offers a great view of the water and boats. As with everything everywhere prices are higher now. However, you can still navigate the menu for a not too crazy priced meal. They only have one menu -- it's the same for lunch and for dinner -- and no lunch specials. I asked. My husband got their classic cheeseburger that came with his requested well done fries. It had American cheese, lettuce and tomato on the toasted bun, too. He said it was very good. I got an order of mussels from their appetizer section. The mussels were described as "drunken" due to the white wine in the tomato, garlic and lemon sauce. They were not stingy with the garlic! The portion was much larger than expected and quite filling. It came with a slice of toasted bread. Now that we've been, I'm sure we will return sooner rather than later.

Yelp
Docked in the Marina for a few days, so we visited the Cove several nights in a row. Two of the days, there was live music to enjoy. The service was excellent. The bartenders were busy but we were well taken care of. Now, I recognize I'm at a marina in FL, but I'm allergic to shrimp and this was hard to accommodate as they only have around two-three options for those of us with a seafood allergy. I DID enjoy the food I was able to try which was the burrata salad and a burger. Both were excellent. Will visit again next time!

Yelp
A pleasant Waterside lunch this afternoon at The Cove. They were busy but we were seated right away at a booth near the water and cooling breeze. I went with the Classic American Cheeseburger and fries. Our server Whitney was pleasant and helpful. Our food was delivered in an expected amount of time and was delicious. The only negative was they do not have the proper size forks for the mussels, you have to use a salad fork. Other than that, a delicious fulfilling lunch!
google avatar

Charee G.

Yelp
Great outdoor lunch spot right on the water. Unfortunately they do not have a separate lunch menu or weekday specials. Also some of the seafood apps portions are small.
google avatar

Kaitlin H.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere here, as a local even I feel like I am on vacation and with all the fans and breeze I am not sweating or feeling overheated. I love the cove burger, they must put something in it that makes it so addicting as well! The wait staff is super attentive and very friendly.

Yelp
We started with the Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer and it was tasty but a little "soggy" it didn't quit have that friend shrimp snap. For dinner I had the Crab Cakes and my friend whose birthday we were celebrating had the Mahi Mahi. We both like the food a lot but didn't care for the drinks. We both ordered a Mojito and my friend sent hers back because she didn't like it. I didn't care for it myself because it didn't taste like there wasn't any alcohol in it but I don't like sending things back especially since the meal wasn't served to us yet. She ordered a cosmopolitan and she didn't care for that either. When I bill came I noticed the Mojito was listed on the bill as Bacardi Silver Rocks and not Mojito. If that was what they served us it tasted just like water. Her cosmopolitan was listed on the bill as Grey Goose DOUBLE Cosmo which we didn't ask for a double. So when you pay your bill ask for an itemized bill before paying. They use the new technology of paying at the table and some may feel pressured (like I do) to ask for the itemized bill which I did after the fact to make sure everything is correct. The server did remove the one Mojito which was sent back. The service was good but not the best. The server was nice and may have been new but I was expecting better. The ambiance was nice with a view of the intracoastal. They have large ceiling fans so even on a hot day/night the air is always moving. For handicap customers they have a mini elevator to bring you up from the main outside dining area to the inside. Food - Delicious Service - Good but could have been better Drinks - Have to give it a thumbs down

Yelp
We stopped by The Cove in Deerfield Beach for a midday bite, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Since we went a little earlier in the day, there was no crowd and we were seated right away--always a nice surprise. But the real star here is the location. The open-air seating right on the Intracoastal is absolutely gorgeous. Super relaxing, with just the right breeze and that perfect waterfront view. The food? Also a win across the board. My daughter had the Lobster Mac and Cheese (rich, creamy, and packed with lobster), I had the Shrimp Scampi (garlicky, buttery, and so good), and my husband went classic with the Fish and Chips--crispy and fresh. We're already talking about coming back. Great view, great food, great vibe. What more could you want?
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed sitting outside by the Intracoastal waterway. There were a lot of really good seafood options, which made it hard to choose (mussels, steamers, ahi tuna salad, Mahi sandwich, and more!) I had the watermelon salad with shrimp and balsamic vinaigrette. It came with 4 shrimps...I would have liked one more. We told the server that it was our friend's birthday and she brought a piece of chocolate cake with a sparkler in it. How fun! They have indoor seating & bar as well as an outdoor bar and live music on Sunday .
google avatar

Viv L.

Yelp
Kind staff and great portions! I was surprised with how solid this place was. My pasta was well-cooked and seasoned. There was a decent amount of seafood and I loved the sauce! A bit tangy but buttery, both decadent and refreshing. I finished my plate before I knew it, which I find rare for a gigantic plate of cheesy pasta. I think they do everything well here, so it will be a safe choice to come with family. My friend ordered their mac and cheese with a side of salmon. He says the mac was a bit bland, but the salmon was a great portion and seemed well-seasoned!

Denise S.

Yelp
Ambiance is a 5 rating would recommend to take your guests visiting from up north. Food not so good, service very slow. Prices are moderate to high, limited selection. Really nice place to watch boats on intracoastaol
google avatar

Tracey S.

Yelp
Great water front views! We had a group of 6 with us so we got a few appetizers to try. Calamari was good. I went for the fish and chips. Perfect amount of crisp. The 6 of us finished off a chocolate cake at the end, even though we were full. No regrets! The whipped cream and drizzle give just the right touch! The service was slightly slow trying to leave, just for boxed, and it's complicated to try and split checks if that's your plan. Not a big deal. Overall, great experience!
google avatar

Bryn C.

Yelp
Great ambiance, pretty decor, and great view. Service was good, but food is below average. I'd go back for drinks but would skip on the food next time. Had the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken was thin, overcooked and dry. Bun was dry and almost stale tasting. Fries were lukewarm and soggy. Meal was not inedible but nothing good. Heard good reviews from others at my table for the fish dip, watermelon feta salad, and blackened mahi tacos. Mahi sandwich also sounded like a flop. This place has such potential- wish the food was better!
google avatar

Becky S.

Yelp
The Cove is the best! Great service from Bobby at the outside bar! Can't beat the awesome breeze especially in the summer time
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
The Cove has been around a LONG time. Through the years it was up and for a portion it was down. The updated look and renovations have really made this place shine again. Great outside seating area and even inside you feel like you are outside. Music on the weekend during the day makes it a happening spot. The fish dip is always a perfect appetizer and super fresh. The ahi tacos are also good, I've had them before and seemed like the amount of ahi was lacking. If you are looking for a good outdoor spot this is the place! Parking can be full but they also have valet.
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
My hubby and I usually come here when there is a birthday party or family event. The restaurant is situated on the intracoastal with a stunning view and lovely breezes if you can snag a table on the water. Unfortunately, they won't seat large parties by the water, so we usually sit inside towards the back. There is still a nice breeze and lots of fans to keep us cool. Speaking of large parties, they automatically tack on 20% in gratuity for parties of 8 or more. The service we had this time was pretty good, but the bartender was just awful. My hubby's $17 Patron Margarita tasted terrible and didn't have much tequila at all. My sister's white sangria was flavorless and watered down. At least hers was cheaper. I enjoyed my mahi sandwich and hubby enjoyed his full rack of ribs, but he said they were a bit dry. Overall, this is a place to see and be seen and enjoy the waterfront. The food is good, but not spectacular for the price. The bartender needs to be retrained.

Yelp
Tonight was a great experience for us at The Cove! The food was delicious (coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, blackened chicken) and arrived just as we ordered it. But, more importantly, it was a great experience because of our AMAZING server, Anna. She was super attentive and was so friendly! She was the best server we've ever had at The Cove, and we will definitely be coming back if she is there! We cannot thank her enough for a wonderful night!

Yelp
I like restaurants by the water so we decided to give this place a try on our way back home from a mini vacay nearby. It is very inviting, enjoyed the ambience and it is nicely decorated. We were greeted upon arrival by the hostess and were sat promptly. However the waitress took a while and was not very pleasant to deal with. The calamari appetizer was a hit for all of us, kids included. They were nicely cooked and tasty. For the rest of the food::: - shrimp tacos: tasteless. I expected some flavor as they come with pico de gallo but was disappointed. Ended up having to put lime, salt and pepper for some flavor. - mahi mahi sandwich: great option. Wished portion was bigger but it was yummy. - fish and chips: too greasy and soggy. - penne pasta with marinara: didn't try it but my kid did like it - chicken fingers: another good choice. Chicken was well cooked. We made the most of it and enjoyed our meals and were gone. To sum it up, we liked the place itself but wished food would have been better all around.

Yelp
The food was , 5.5 out of 10. Service was 5 out of 10. But the big problem here is, I spent 3 hours there and walked back to my car to find a $100 ticket.. for self parking in an area with no signs that I couldn't park there. In fact, the entire lot now requires you to pay for parking apparently . So, the cove hasn't secured a lot for free parking for customers of their restaurant. Either pay for valet, or pay for self parking and I believe this is ridiculous! I called and spoke with a manager who said basically , it is what it is. So, just know.. if you want to spend money at the cove, plan on paying for parking. Even in spots with no signs. Or you'll get a $100 ticket. They said it's the city who is requiring this .. but let's be real, they are clearly profiting from this as well. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
I had the best burger I have had in a while at this place if you're looking for a good burger at a reasonable price I highly suggest coming here and giving the Cove burger. It was delicious. I couldn't put it down and finish it super quick. The appetizer was also pretty good. I am not 100% sure what was the name of it but nothing to rave about it wasn't nothing crazy
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Great location and we often come by boat with friends. Love the open air environment and the ample selection of appetizers.

Linda L.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere - open air view of the intercostal. Some appetizers can be a low-cost meal. I like the shrimp and salad appetizer.

C E.

Yelp
I'd never recommend this restaurant to anyone to start with I ordered the Calamari which was probably prefrozen it was the worst I've eaten anywhere and then I ordered the cove burger which the fries came to the table cold and the burger at best came out Luke warm at best and they put more cheap iceberg lettuce along with the cheapest over cooked applewood bacon and the only reason you'd probably want to go there is the atmosphere.
google avatar

Margie W.

Yelp
The perfect place wrapping up 2024 with the girls! We got seated by the balcony right by the water where you can see gorgeous boats passing by. Such a great view! Our food was great as usual! I had tuna nachos, my go to! Love it! I'm coming back!

Yelp
The Cove is located in Deerfield Beach overlooking the intracoastal. It has a huge tiki bar for people wanting to drink and socialize and many tables for a meal. I had seafood linguine that I really enjoyed. It was a nice portion in a fun atmosphere. If you want to have dinner on the water at reasonable price , this is the place to go too. Btw. Lots of parking in the shopping center.

Diana V.

Yelp
Service was fast. We enjoyed the surrounding and views of the boats on the water. No wait to be seated. Food was tasty. My pasta was a bit cold when served, but hot enough too eat. My friend got the rib eye... had a bite... delicious! Spinach dip was perfect.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. I wanted to be by the water and have seafood in a place with good vibe. I found this place online and brought my sister with me. The sun was hot and the day was breezy. We found parking right away and it was free. . There were boats docked and they can be seen from the parking lot and the restaurant so the good tropical vibes began right from the beginning. DECOR: I think they have like two standing walls and a roof, everything was opened to the water. It was magical. The front doors were opened and you can see a very wide and long "hall" all the way to the water. I say "hall" because it was completely opened on the right. We got to the hostess stand and we told her that we wanted to sit right on the water and she directed us to the hostess closest to the water. Omg guys, this place is so nice. The breeze and the fans made it very very comfortable, there's also a lot of shade. We were in the intercostal and could see the mansions across, yachts going by, and boats docking right on the restaurant. The place has two large bars. One is free standing right on the water and the other one is more in the center of the restaurant where they have one of those vertical garden walls. FOOD: Very good food. I had a clam chowder and the drunken mussels and it was all very delicious. My sister had fish and chips (I think). I tried a bit of the fish and it was very soft and fresh. We wanted dessert and saw that there was Key West Key Lime Pie. We were skeptical because we both know what the Keys' key lime pie tastes like. Well, it was delicious. A slight degree less of tartness which is great because key lime pies in the Keys are very very strong in flavor. We loved our dessert. It was delicious. SERVICE: It was very good. Our waitress was very nice and good. Visit this place. It's good for friends, family, even a date... just take a scrunchy or hair clip .

Yelp
Wow. They were crowded today. Then it dawned on me it's spring break! The food and service was very good! I had the ribeye which came with some roasted potatoes but as I think about it actually the menu said mashed potatoes. It didn't matter bc I wasn't eating them anyway. I do have to say y veggies had a fishy taste to them which was a bit of a turn off. My daughter had the chicken quesadilla, which she really liked. My mom had a hamburger which she enjoyed also and my cousin had the mahi-mahi blackened entrée, which is also good. He started with spinach and artichoke dip with chips, which was good also. It was a beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous. Perfect lunch.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with a good selection of appetizers and main courses but not sure what happened Sunday night March 9 in the kitchen. We arrived with our daughter's family and two grandchildren sometime after 5 pm. The expected wait time was fairly estimated. I could see tables getting frustrated around us and found out why as it took 45 minutes for our appetizers and even longer for dinner. My son in law who has had their chicken wings previously said something was off. Our server thanked us for not complaining about the food wait times. We will be back but hope they figure out the kitchen before next time.

Yo M.

Yelp
Food here was sooo good. Mahi mahi was perfect. Service was quick and pleasant. Ambiance is unbeatable it's so gorgeous on the deck!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Best food we had in Deerfield Beach you really can't beat the ambience of being right on the water and watching boats come and go. The service was good. The nachos were to die for and the fish and chips was very good. The portions are huge at this place so definitely good bang for your buck. Cheapest cocktails in Deerfield beach too
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
I'm a food guy - so my review is food based. Location and restaurant are very nice. Calamari was the best we experienced on our trip. Everything else was very "touristy". No connection with server. In and out mentality. Mahi mahi was Way over cooked as well as chicken, on my wife's salad. Pass on the $33 lobster roll, great bread no lobster. I understand High volume, but I hope the management focuses on the basics.
google avatar

Angie R.

Yelp
Super cute place and loved the live music. However the food was mediocre. I had the Mahi entree, should have came with Coconut rice but because I can't have dairy I had to sub for steamed veggies and a side of French fries. Presentation looks pretty, but the taste was bland and the texture on the fish was very rubbery. Wouldn't recommend.

Location and ambiance was great. Our service was good. But the food was seriously not fresh. The grilled mahi tacos came out cold and my mom's burger was so bad I couldn't eat it. Probably was a frozen patty but the fish should've been fresh at least. When we told the manager we weren't happy with the tacos (or the burger), he said the tacos were supposed to be served cold! I realize they had cold toppings but even when they brought it out without the toppings it wasn't right. Also just so flavorless. The manager ultimately discounted our entire meal but we won't be back again.

Yelp
Review for The Cove, Deerfield Beach - 2 Stars Stopped in for a Valentine's Day brunch and started with the fish dip, one of my favorite appetizers at most seafood spots. Unfortunately, this one was way too salty--borderline inedible. It was so overwhelming that we didn't even stay for an entrée. If a seafood restaurant can't get a simple dip right, it doesn't inspire confidence in the rest of the menu. Giving two stars solely for the ambiance, which was nice, but overall, a disappointing experience.

Yelp
Normally we come and sit closer to the water and unfortunately the service is slow Tonight we decided to sit upper in a both. Taylor L was amazing! I watched her navigate a ton of tables, with a smile, always checking in with her section and we were served quickly. My husband didn't want to come tonight bc the service is too slow. I said give it another try.....so here we r and he agreed that Taylor is a great server! She needs a raise thank u!!

Yelp
The location is amazing!! The restaurant is beautiful and the renovations do look amazing. I have been going here for years since before they changed owners. My recent experiences were unfortunately not what I was expecting. We came at a slow time for lunch and there were 6 of us. When my friends and I got to the host the first thing they said was we can't sit you all together because they aren't allowed to move tables. After saying I could help lift them so they don't scratch the deck they allowed us to sit in an area that they could move the tables. When it came to the food the chicken wings were great. The nachos tasted great but I did feel they didn't put as much fish as they used to and for the price wouldn't order it again. The pasta was amazing my friend finished the whole thing. I was looking forward to the mahi sandwich but the fish tasted a little off (probably not their fault). The service was ok. Our waitress was nice, but sitting so far from the rest of her tables made refilling waters a little slow. It felt like we were a burden to them. I will be back again to see if it improves, but at this moment I was not impressed or wowed at all.

Yelp
We went by boat, docking was readily available. Super good doc staff, food was decent, good variety service was great. Really enjoyed the stop here. The Cove crowd is a mixture of boating people, and people needing good food and a great cocktail, dockside to the intracoastal.

Yelp
Great location. Went here with some local relatives who loved it. Had some of the most apathetic service I've had in a restaurant in quite a while. Had one of the servers that drop something off, never be seen again? Blackened tuna was excellent. Said one of my relatives. I had the fish and chips which were oily. The heavy breading and poor frying were rough. The hostess was fantastic. But overall, it just felt like nobody really cared about what they were doing. Did not see a manager anywhere. Couldn't really even flagged on a waitress. Would not come back
