The 24 Best Things to Eat at Universal Orlando Resort | Eater

"After a day of casting spells and hugging Minions, your kids will expect some culinary whimsy on the table too. Satisfy them with this deep-fried take on a sushi roll. Cooks wrap a black Angus bacon cheeseburger in soy paper and potato shards, before deep-frying it and slicing it into rounds. This is one time you won’t mind eating your kids’ scraps." - Carlye Wisel

Good value and quality food in a great location. Food - we went with our servers recommendation for the Rise and Swine burger, which was one of the better burgers we’ve had in the trip. Bacon was flavourful and the 1/2 pound burger nicely cooked. We also had a CBCLT burger which was similarly good. Tuna sushi roll tasted fresh and with 9 pieces more than enough. The kids both had mini burger bento box which was enough for an 8 and 6 year old - any older and you’d need to go for an adults meal. A good selections of cocktails and mocktails too on the drinks menu, not that we tried any this time! Service - our server (Summer) was really welcoming and made some great recommendations. Drinks were regularly refilled and orders taken quickly. We went at about 530 and didn’t not have to wait for a table (we did not have a reservation). Food came quickly as well. When we left at 630 there was about 20 people in line outside waiting for a table. Atmosphere- good music and nice mix of indoor and outdoor areas. Top floor (restrooms and bar) felt cold when we went up there, but main restaurant below was fine. Overall, would recommend as a stop after a day at the park. For the price, it’s a lot better than what you would get around the park

This was our first visit to Cowfish and overall we had a great experience! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun and unique. Our server, Denise, was absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She made our first visit memorable! The only area that could use improvement was our greeting and seating experience. Our host, Shareeh, was polite but a bit disengaged — no eye contact or welcome, and the menus and utensils were set down without much acknowledgment. A warmer introduction would go a long way toward setting the tone for such a great restaurant. That said, once we were seated, everything was excellent. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for Denise again!

Our server Brandon (spelled differently, sorry!) did an excellent job! Very busy night but he helped us with everything we asked for and all the good was delicious. The kids meal bento boxes were well done. Thank you for having the vegan sushi roll. Wish there was more than one choice for a vegan roll because it was very good. My sister had the non vegan cheeseburger roll and loved it.

I didn’t remember my first time here a few years ago but we just went back and I was impressed! Not only with the quality of fish-sushi, but also how awesome the service was! Kenna was our server and she was absolutely lovely! Not pictured, but we got the Big Al’s Yellowtail-so fresh and delicious! I also ordered the Tropical Storm roll, not pictured. This roll was amazing!!!! We will definitely be back!

The service was decent. The people were great of course . But let me tell you about the FOOD. Don’t come here if you want actual good sushi. The rice was soggy, and the fish quality was not worth the price that we paid. Kind of wish we chose a different location to go to. We have no problem paying a lot of money for food. But the problem lies when the food is subpar. Oh well.: it is what it is.

My husband, his family, and I stopped here to eat while on the city walk and it was better than expected! The poke bowl drew me in and the burgers sold them. The music they played was family friendly and actually good. I just got off a cruise the prior day and thats family friendly bad music so to hear good music was sooo nice. My waitress seemed like it was her first time in customer service, but the others stepped in enough that it was hardly noticable. Rooting for you girl, you got it! ❤️ Portions were insanely good, didn't have to eat for the rest of the day jeez. I got the salmon poke bowl, my husband got the rise and swine with the truffle fries and 10/10. Expensive due to being at CityWalk, but worth it.

Google
We had a great meal at Cowfish, Universal CityWalk! Our server Valentina was absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and really made the experience feel relaxed and fun. We tried the Burgushi Bento Box, which was amazing! My son said it was the best burger ever, and he even loved the sushi, despite it being a bit different from traditional styles. The sweet potato fries were delicious and perfectly crispy, and the pickled cucumber was such a nice, refreshing touch. A few small downsides: the air conditioning inside was freezing—I actually shivered through most of the meal. I asked if we could sit outside to warm up, but unfortunately, the deck was closed. Also, the chicken add-on for my salad was an extra $7, and it was quite tough and dry, which was a shame because the salad itself was fresh, tasty, and really well put together. If I ordered it again, I’d skip the chicken entirely. Overall though, great service, fun atmosphere, and fantastic food (especially that bento box!). Would definitely come back—just maybe with a jumper next time! 🥶🍔🍣

My husband and I are on vacation at Universal Studios for the first time. And we've never been to a restaurant like this before, but the food is absolutely delicious and the staff are friendly and kind. If you're open to trying new things you should definitely get the All American Cheeseburgooshi. I hope I spelled that right, haha. It's essentially a cheeseburger but in the form of a sushi roll and it's phenomenal. We've been here 3x just in one week and we've tried different things each time. We were never disappointed by anything. If you're coming to Universal and haven't been here before it's 100% worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Pretty interesting restaurant that serves both Japanese and American food. Looks like they manage to be good at both. I walked in on this occasion and they did not have any tables available unless I decided to sit at the bar area, which was first come first served. I had to wave someone down to clean up the spot someone just left so I could sit. Other than that, it was pretty smooth sailing. I ordered the Firecracker Roll ($24), which was filling in itself and tasted great.

Yelp
The cowfish has great sushi! We have been coming to universal for years and years and never tried this place so we felt it was time to give them a shot. I always make reservations early on as you want to do in city walk, which I'm glad we did because the line of walk ups the day we went was astronomical and not something I'd want to be apart of! Small delay for us to get our table with our set time but it was maybe 15 min and we were sat. Our server was very nice to us, we did wait a bit longer than we would have liked for getting our orders in and repeat drinks but overall no issues with the dinner itself. Our eyes were much better than our stomachs as we certainly ordered too much! We didn't expect the size of the rolls! All of them were super delicious tho and wish we could have consumed all of them before our concert at the hard rock live. I will say the calamari was a bit too tough, maybe it was sitting for a tad too long under a lamp or something but that could have been from the server being very busy. Overall very happy with the experience and will return for the sushi another time!

Yelp
Located in Universal City Walk is a unique fusion of sushi and burgers. My mom spotted this place when researching places to dine during our trip to Universal Orlando in December 2024. I was intrigued as fusion food is either oddly delicious or strangely unappealing. Thankfully, this was actually quite good! Our server was extremely friendly and great with my food allergies. We sat on the upstairs patio, and enjoyed the ambiance though a little bright and loud for me (hence the 4 stars). Our food was served pretty quickly and we enjoyed our dishes. Overall, a great meal and we'd dine here again.

Yelp
I love the concept of this restaurant! With two of my favorite foods, burgers and sushi, as the main themes of the restaurant, it's hard to go wrong. I tried the "burgushi" and it's worth checking out, all your favorite parts of a burger rolled up like sushi! I recommend making a reservation, as when we walked up on a Saturday afternoon and it was going to be a long wait since we didn't have one. However, I was able to get online and find a reservation spot getting us in earlier than the estimated wait time without a reservation. The artwork inside is pretty fun too. The dragon fruit spritzer is really good and worth trying as well.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Pre-Halloween Horror Night dinner for 6. Sat at a half moon shaped booth. Full bar choices available. Denise our server took great care of us. The menu was quite expansive with many options for any palate or lifestyle. Appetizers of edamama, fried calamari and chips with crab dip (Yummy) Dined on Sushi boxes, salads, burger. Everything was hot, delicious and plentiful. Enjoy!

Yelp
Was excited to have lunch here as the menu looked quite diverse with the sushi-meat fusion. We were able to walk in for a party of 4 and was welcomed by friendly hostesses and server. Had some beers and we all did sushi. I ordered Jen's Fresh find and it was quite good. We wanted a light lunch as we were having dinner and drinks in the near future so it just hit the spot.

Yelp
This is one of the coolest concepts for a restaurant. Not only is this idea good in theory but Cowfish executes. The menu is vast and delicious. The service was quick and our server was so kind. The decor is on point and matches the theme perfectly. Our fav dish was the crab Rangoon dip, but all plates were clean after this meal.

Yelp
Very good & different!! So, we went to the restaurant to try to get a seat, we were told there were no available reservations until much later in the day which didn't work since we were getting ready to head back to hotel. I went online to reserve a seat and was able to get a reservation about 20 min later!! Not sure why the guy didn't offer it... was initially turned off but I wanted to try it so we waited. We showed up at reservation time and went up to 3rd floor I believe. Food was good... service was good... overall pretty good, pricey as it is Universal.

Yelp
So I went back this past Sunday after plans got changed. I ended up going back here with my girlie's. This time I tried the oreo milkshake and the Texas longhorn with a grilled chicken. It was delicious. The staff was friendly and I noticed she was under a lot of pressure. She still kept a smile and showed kindness to multiple tables. Now I must come back.

Yelp
Excellent sushi! We were very impressed with the selection and quality. Their specialty drinks were fantastic as well. The edamame and loaded fries were a perfect appetizer to start with. Be sure to put it for a reservation as it is a long wait time if you try to do a walk - in seating.

Yelp
Food selection was incredible and unique, with tasty options for land or sea as the name suggests. Table was outside and had nice view of universal park in the center of it all. Place was not very crowded when our group of 6 arrived. The server brought everything out within almost 5 minutes (drinks, appetizers, entrees), didn't ask if we wanted anything else before bringing the check, and knew there was a birthday at the table but did nothing special. BUT we saw him and other waiters singing happy. Birthday to the table next to us. It was comical for our group and we didn't make anything of it at the restaurant to create more drama, we just left. Not sure if it was nepotism, maybe the owner knew the table and it's their policy to only sing sometimes, maybe he was flirting with them.... how the other table got his A+ service and we got the B team I may never know. With other options in universal I'm sure I can try other spots in the park!

Yelp
We sat at the bar which can get a bit noisy, but still able to hold a conversation easily. The service was good, our bartender/server was attentive and personable. The yellowtail app is one of our favorites, very light with the thinly sliced fish and ponzu dipping sauce. Bento box is a great way to have a little taste of everything. Sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, cucumber salad is delicious with a little kick, and the edamame are a great snack. The mini burger was fairly standard, cooked medium unless otherwise specified. Firecracker roll was also a nice mix of textures the crunchy tempura shrimp, tender yellowtail and salmon on top, with spicy mayo. A must try if you like sushi or burgers on City Walk. Can be a bit pricey, but is manageable if you have an annual pass to Universal since you get a discount!

Yelp
Presentation was good, food was good- burger wise nothing crazy, sushi was yummy. Server was nice! Little higher in price. Milkshake was yummy too.
google avatar

Hoang-Mai D.

Yelp
The food portion is so small! The sushi vegetarian burger wasn't a burger. Sadly, it's just veggies sushi;( The bar sitting wasn't an ambience for us to have a wow moment so the service was just the moment we ordered then thank you as we were leaving
google avatar

Janice K.

Yelp
My husband loved his Bento box. The little hamburger was adorable. The firecracker sushi roll was so good, I should have ordered that. There are multiple fried items in their sushi so I requested the flamin salmon roll, but not fried. It was a little above a basic sushi roll and I would recommend ordering something else and not ordering this not deep fried. The fries, cucumber salad, and edamame were all really good. The service was so good. Our server was funny and on top of everything.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
This location is obviously very busy, but the staff is very friendly! Food doesn't take too long to come out and is quite good. I don't know if the menu varies at every location, but the bento box is a great bite of everything and you will be full afterwards.
google avatar

Trent N.

Yelp
Pretty standard middle of the road chain restaurant. I will say the $12 Brussels were better than average. I'd rate a solid 7.5/10. Only thing missing was some bacon or pork ontop. They had a great char and were sauced well. I had the $22 Boursin Bacon Burger as an entree. It basically falls out of your hands. Taste was fine. A standard burger. This place seems basically like a Chili's to me.
google avatar

Kimberly A.

Yelp
Amazing staff and service. The burger bento box was pretty good. The sweet potato fries were great and so was the burger but the sushi was just average. Service was quick and the bartenders were extremely nice and accommodating.
google avatar

Charlotte A.

Yelp
I was at Universal on Sunday with my besties and we were craving sushi and a good burger and decided to check this place out . I will say I like the vibe and the atmosphere . Overall the sushi was really good. It's just a bit expensive. They also have a kids menu if you are on a budget. I thought it was cool they offered bento boxes with sushi and burgers . I think the only thing I didn't like was they charge a lot for gratuity for a party of more than 6 which I wasn't aware of. The server was nice .

Yelp
Popular restaurant at the Universal Studio City Walk in Orlando FL. It was highly recommended by the staff at the resort we were staying during our visit. Had to try what's this about, to start with try going during early evening hours before the rush comes in, wait times may go up to 2 hrs with after the parks close. We got seated in the outdoor covered patio with the view of the city walk, pretty good view from there, our waitress was super helpful and gave us some good suggestions , I have a good allergy and the restaurant took the best care in ensuring the food was served without any cross contamination, they customized my order of the rolls. The place is pretty spacious with two levels of dining and a bar. I haven't tried their burgers. Was only there for the Sushi, the quantity of food served is decent and worth the price per item. We had ordered the Crab Rangoon Dip and a Crispy Brussels as appetizers. Went for the fusion rolls Firecracker - customized the Boss - customized Dion's OMG! Rolls Spicy Crunchy roll All tasted amazing. I would prefer the crunchy rolls be a bit more crunchier that what they had. One observation I had during the visit, I had seen a staff member who was dressed in kitchen attire use the restroom and didn't wash their hands. Hope the restaurant makes sure they train their staff to maintain hygiene standards. The restaurant takes instant feedback, we met a person out side who took a survey of our experience which is an amazing thing to do. This is a great Sushi fusion place, do try it .

Yelp
The food at cow fish is always consistent across their few nationwide locations. This location has multiple floors and outdoor seating, so they had reservations available throughout the day we booked. We're not chain people, but we always stop at a Cow Fish location when convenient.
google avatar

Rebecca V.

Yelp
the drinks were good and the truffle fries were as well! it was cool that the cheese was melted into the fires, don't normally see it like that! the burger my bf got was okay and my sushi was pretty good!! i wouldn't say i would go back just because of the price but other than that, wait wasn't long and the staff were all very nice!
google avatar

Jessi M.

Yelp
Service was friendly but not attentive. For was also meh. I ordered the Cold Sweet Potato Noodles (which were drenched in chili oil) and the Cowfish Bento. I had to send back the slider on the bento because I asked for a vegan substitute and I got a regular slider. I also asked for the whole thing to be dairy/egg free and it came with mayo. I also ordered a mocktail which was good, a little sweet but it was okay. Overall wasn't impressed here.
google avatar

Catherine P.

Yelp
I recommend making a reservation if you want to come here. The line after the parks are getting out is long. We easily made a reservation in the universal app. They have indoor and outdoor covered seating. There are two levels of dining. The food was yummy. The krab ratoon dip is a must. The tuna avocado tini is definitely great if you want a light and cool appetizer. I got the Bento box with a hamburger slider and a fushion roll it also came with sweet potato fries and edamame, my favorite in the box was the cucumber salad. My husband got the burger sushi, this was a very good and I think the dish that could sum up cow fish. Our server was nice seemed a little overwhelmed at first but I think too many tables were sat at the same time. It's a fun and colorful environment.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
You have to try the burgushi! It sounds weird but trust me it's great, and so unique. I accidentally made reservations for the wrong day but the hostess was so kind and worked things out to accommodate us. The staff were also very personable and the manager even came over to chat with us. There's three floors with plenty of seating. Be aware, if you order the bottled soju, it's very large, more than two people can handle alone!
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
After a long day, walking through the parks, Cowfish Sushi was just what the doctor ordered. Instead of spending tons of money on overpriced, mediocre food at the parks, we decided to eat outside in city walk. Although the sushi could've been better, our overall dining experience was delicious. Our waiter Ty was great, describing the plates we asked him about as well as giving us tips about some other local things in the area. I will say that our favorites were the loaded fry and crispy sushi, rice appetizer, as well as the cookies and cream milkshake. That milkshake was out of this world!
google avatar

Michele L.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place a few weekends ago as we became Universal Annual Passholders and glad we got to! Cowfish is right in City Walk overlooking the parks. The ambience is nice but nothing too special. I was there last month for their anniversary and tried food from their specialty menu and let me just say I wasn't ready lol. The portions are pretty large and SO hearty! There's no way you can leave here hungry, no matter what you get. We started with their parmesan fries which are always gonna be a favorite of mine but Cowfish may be in my top for the best! They were so good I forgot to take a picture haha. For entrees, my husband got their cheeseburger roll which is insane to think about but was pretty tasty! I got the prime time filet & lobster roll which was to die for - that need to be on the permanent menu! Our server was sweet and very funny as she dealt with me and my many many questions! I'll definitely be returning to Cowfish on my next Universal day!
google avatar

Jami U.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and greeted by a bubbly bartender who was very helpful in deciding on what to get we went with a simple Red Bull and Tito's Definitely a win for the first stop of the day!

Yelp
Pretty solid choice and a hidden gem out in the open, just across the street from Universal Store City walk on the opposing corner. The Crab Rangoon Dip is delicious and has real pieces of crab in the dip. The wanton chips are delicious and the sweet chili sauce gives it an extra layer of depth. Brilliant! The Buffalo Burgushi was pretty interesting choice and fusion food done right. The chicken could've been slightly less dry or maybe slow-cooked in buffalo sauce or something, but it wasn't enough to ruin the good. And the staff were stellar, even with how busy it was. Bit of a well-oiled machine in the chaos of being at a theme park. Well worth going! Also reservations are probably needed for tables with how busy it is, but the bar may be open (look for the *black* seats). Bonus points for the awesome music, mostly alternative like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, and The Killers.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
We ordered crab Rangoon dip, fusion specialty bento box with firecracker rolls, and sushi pizza (special for AP holders). Crab Rangoon dip was tasty; I loved the wonton chips but would have preferred less panko on top. Sushi pizza was delicious! There was a bit too much rice for me, but I loved the crispy rice parts. It was well seasoned and flavorful. The bento was also overall good. The biggest miss was the miniburger. It was cooked well done, so it was dry and nothing special. The only thing that saved it was adding ketchup and mustard to it. The cucumber salad was tasty, refreshing, and flavorful. The edamame was also fine. The sweet potato fries were also a bit of a miss, a bit overcooked and could use salt. The firecracker roll was tasty; I would get that again. Our server was friendly, but there does seem to be some inefficiencies in the service. In particular, the dip came out pretty quickly, but it took 30 minutes to get our entrees. Overall, I would likely stop by again in the future.

Yelp
Sounds like a weird combination, right? When my sisters and I were looking for dinner at Universal's City we found Cowfish. It was actually the perfect combination for the 4 of us. Rachel and Sarah love sushi. I am allergic to shellfish and Diane wanted a burger. So Cowfish it was. The decor was fun and eclectic with fish and cow decor. the staff was super friendly and the food was fantastic! My sisters loved their sushi - I'll just take their word for it. And the burgers were enormous! I loved my burger. I went with the Boursin Burger. It had the most amazing garlic & herb boursin cheese - so good! Then they topped it with applewood bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and onions. It was delicious. The sweet potato fries I had on the side were really delicious too. I love the idea of bringing a sushi bar and burgers together. It's like two restaurants in one and I know it satisfied all four of our appetites!

Yelp
My friends and I dined outside this time and it was very nice. Our waiter Brandon was super cool, knowledgeable and kind. I was very hungry so I didn't hold back. The sesame chicken bites were all white meat with a delicious sauce and plenty of sesame seeds. Sweet and savory. The togarashi shrimp were even better; nice crispiness on the shrimp and the sauces melded together wonderfully. The Georgia roll was impressive, especially when you use the included dipping sauce; true to form, the chef took many flavors and meticulously combined them together. I was incredibly impressed with the buffalo chicken burgushi; I'm not a huge fan of buffalo sauce but the cheeses used in this dish are a perfect accompaniment. Everything was amazing yet again. This is IMO the best food you can get in Orlando. What are you waiting for?

Yelp
My group was really intrigued by this restaurants menu and wanted to check it out while on vacation. The prices are high, but that's to be expected when it's in a city walk right outside of Universal. The menu primarily had variations of sushi rolls and burgers with alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks available. My husband and I tried the bento box which included a small cheeseburger, 4 pieces of sushi and some sides. Overall the food and flavors were very good. I honestly didn't care for the alcoholic in the boozy milkshake. I was expecting to barely taste the alcohol in it, and instead both the milkshake and the maraschino cherry on top tasted like they were mixed with 100 proof moonshine. The atmosphere was fun and we liked being able to choose between the outdoor patio or an indoor table. There can be a long wait time, so I highly recommend booking a reservation early. Service was average compared to other great experiences. I would try again, but expect an expensive bill if you're going to dine here.

Yelp
Second time here about 10 years apart. Made a reservation and were taken in on time. Place was busy. Sat upstairs in a round booth and service was spot on. Good drinks, and appetizers. Fried pickles were very tasty. Table of 6 I was with ordered mostly burgers which looked and tasted awesome. I have the Jalapeño popper show stopper. Fabulous. Perfectly cooked. One of our meals got screwed up and they put meat on a meatless option. They not only took care of it quickly, they took it off the bill. Top notch customer service. Really interesting fusion options of burgers and sushi. You gotta try the peanut butter burger at least once in your lifetime. Well done team and management! Awesome experience.

Yelp
Sooo delicious! I saw people rave about the burgers and ended up with the poke. They had just the right mix of ingredients that were all fresh and tasty. Seaweed salad, edamame, crunch, fresh tuna! I couldn't get enough ! Service was super quick and helpful at the bar at helping me choose my meal and it was so cute and well decorated! It's catered to universal studios so you can't expect less. But lots of space for families / visitors with a large bar area. I didn't get a drink but saw a couple come out and they're def insta-worthy and look delicious !

Yelp
The Cowfish mixes 2 completely different cuisines, BBQ and Sushi, and somehow still makes it work. I got the Tropical Storm Roll and the Dynamic Duo Burger, and together they satisfied every craving I've had for the last week. The sushi had multiple different types of fish that blended so well together. The fish was soft and succulent. And the special sauce (I think it was like a ponzu-esc sauce?) added so much flavor to the roll as well. The burger, although it was cooked well-done when I asked for medium, was seasoned perfectly and had so much juice I could basically dip my sushi in it. It also came with a little piece of sushi as a garnish. The biggest issue with this place is the pricing. I know it's because this place is in the middle of CityWalk but the price was a little out of pocket. The burger, although it was delicious, just did not have enough volume to cost $25. The roll was a little more understandable, given that it has a lot of different fish mixed in, but another $25 for that still hurt my wallet. But the worst part of the pricing was the drinks. I got 2 mojito-esc cocktails for $18 each. They definitely weren't worth that much. Other than that, the service was great. Servers were polite and attentive. Nothing too crazy, but definitely made me add a decent tip. Overall, The Cowfish is such an original place with great food, so I can't give it a low rating simply based on pricing. It deserves a good 16/20 in all honesty. FREY OUT!

Yelp
In Citywalk the shopping district of Universal, this is a prominent restaurant. I wasn't sure but our hosts are foodies and I trusted them. Great sushi rolls as well as a few that will challenge your thought process. Service was fast from welcoming, to seating to the food being served. Cool environment, great for kids and families. I would go back again though there are quite a few great sushi restaurants in the area as well!
google avatar

Caroline N.

Yelp
Cowfish is the fam's favorite place for dinner while visiting Universal Studios Orlando! Adults and kids both loved the food, service, and ambiance. Don't eat in the park, eat here instead. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Surprisingly good food for a place that serves SO many guests. I expected a little more churn & burn. I had the omg roll with coconut shrimp & mango and it was so tasty. I especially liked that there wasn't a ton of rice in the roll. My husband had the burgerishi which was very fun and different and tasty. Our kids had the poke bowl (yum!) and the massive burger (which was devoured, but he said the banana was a "little weird" lol!) Our server, Denise, was great with the recommendations and even offered to-go cups for our wine (welcome to resort life!). The decor is cool and makes for a fun vibe.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant in citywalk. I did not have a reservation and was able to walk in with a 5 min wait during the week for lunch. Service was amazing and the decor of the restaurant is really cute! We got recommended the cheeseburgooshi- by our waiter and it was so good! 9/10 It's basically a deconstructed burger in a sushi roll with rice and the outer wrap is fried potato sticks. Might sound weird but it tasted just like a burger and you should definitely give it a shot! The boss roll- This was underwhelming 5/10 and lacked any flavor. Agreed that this was a skip and would try other items on the menu. The bloody mary was perfect and came with a mini burger and beef jerky straw. Overall , I recommend checking the place out as there is something on the menu for everyone. It's not just sushi, they have burgers and milkshakes too!

Yelp
Very brightly colored and upbeat atmosphere. We were traveling from CO and very nervous about family members with Celiac's Disease finding options. The server was knowledgeable and accommodating for our dietary needs. The food was delicious.

Yelp
Our server was Perfect! The nicest person. So attentive and helpful. She always checked on us. She does a wonderful job. A manager (Lisa) stopped by and she was just as sweet. I would definitely recommend the service here.. and the food and atmosphere... you won't be disappointed! I would give them 5 stars!

Yelp
Fresh quality food is not the focus here. My salad was wilted to the point it seemed as though it was leftovers from the previous day. My child was given a decaying apple in her kids meal. Both our dishes were served despite looking quite unappetizing, and both were left uneaten. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I cared about.

Yelp
My husband is a big sushi guy while I am absolutely not, so I was super excited to try Cowfish which had something for both of us. The vibe in here is super casual but fun (we loved the fishbowl at the host desk). I got the Buffalo chicken burgushi and my husband got the bento box. We both loved our meals. I was excited to try a milkshake with edible glitter (so pretty!!! But so sweet) Overall I think this will definitely be high on our list to revisit.

Yelp
Cow fish was SWAMPED the night we went but we got so lucky and found two seats at the bar right when we walked in. The service was excellent even for how busy they were and the food was exactly what I expected. It is quite loud when it's that busy but not so bad it's overwhelming or anything like that.

Yelp
Was expecting more. Fresh sushi and good truffle fries but the rolls didn't taste good. Especially not for the price. Staff were kinda rude when trying to get a table/reservation. Our server was very nice though. This is a one and done place - will not come back.

Yelp
Incredibly underwhelming. The idea of Cowfish is fun: burgers and sushi, what can go wrong? The truth is that neither burger nor sushi stood out, which was disappointing. After a long day at Universal, we were starving and decided to check out Cowfish at Citywalk. Between my fiancé and I, we got three items to share. +/- Fusion bento box with firecracker roll: Fun idea, but in execution wasn't that great. Mini burger was decent. Firecracker roll was ok. Sweet potato fries tasted alright, but was basically cold and limp. Edamame was fine. $23 +/- Flamin salmon roll: not bad, quite bland to be honest. $19 +/- Crispy Brussels: probably the best item in all honesty. Brussel sprouts were cooked well, crispy on the outside and softer on the inside. Dip was decent as well. $12 Service was alright. I made a reservation and they took us all the way up to the top floor. Restaurant wasn't packed by any means but they tried to give us a high top table. When we asked to sit at a different table, the hostess obliged but was very exasperated with us. Food takes a bit to come out as well. Overall, it was an alright meal, probably wouldn't come back.

Yelp
It's a pretty standard theme park restaurant. Full of tourists which means it can get crowded the service was fine, not exceptional and not terrible - really about what I expect from this type of touristy place in a theme park. It's really expensive, again as one expects at a place like this. I had a pretty good old fashioned and the rolls were pretty good. For a theme park it's worth a shot.
