The 24 Best Things to Eat at Universal Orlando Resort | Eater

"After a day of casting spells and hugging Minions, your kids will expect some culinary whimsy on the table too. Satisfy them with this deep-fried take on a sushi roll. Cooks wrap a black Angus bacon cheeseburger in soy paper and potato shards, before deep-frying it and slicing it into rounds. This is one time you won’t mind eating your kids’ scraps." - Carlye Wisel

I didn’t remember my first time here a few years ago but we just went back and I was impressed! Not only with the quality of fish-sushi, but also how awesome the service was! Kenna was our server and she was absolutely lovely! Not pictured, but we got the Big Al’s Yellowtail-so fresh and delicious! I also ordered the Tropical Storm roll, not pictured. This roll was amazing!!!! We will definitely be back!

Our family had high hopes for this place – sushi and burgers are the kids two favorite things. Unfortunately, the service the atmosphere and the food fell short of our expectations. We made reservations several days in advance, and even though we showed up a few minutes ahead of time, we were told we had to wait. They ended up seeing us outside on their hot humid deck – they promised a nice view, but all we could see were the other restaurants in the city walk area. Despite being one of three tables outside, service was slow. By the time we ordered our food, the humidity and glare of the sun got to us. We asked to be seated inside, but we were told we would have to go back on the waiting list for a half an hour and then re-order our food once we were relocated. We decided to stay put. Our food came out quickly enough, and it looked nice. However, there wasn’t much flavor in any of the sushi or the noodle bowl. I had a black bean burger, which was decent enough… Until I found a long hair in it. I notified the server, and she said she would take care of it. I never received a replacement, and all she did was took 10% off the bill – about half the price of the burger. We had great meals at many other places in and around universal. Take your pick – cowfish was definitely not worth the trouble.

Google
Excellent sushi at a really good value with a very unique drink selection! They were very accommodating to my food allergies. Highly recommend the Moriawase to try a wide range of their sushi bar. It took a bit longer for our food to come out, but it was extremely satisfying. Would recommend as a post-park dinner, but could also see this as a nice lunch option!

Google
How this place has a 3.9 review at the time of my visit is beyond me…. Should be way higher! I made reservations on the Universal app and they were somehow lost. The staff was amazing and trusted that I was not lying and gave me my table at the time I made the reservation. The place was super crowded but they still seated us right away. Excellent food and excellent service from our server Javier who kept my Diet Coke glass filed the six times I drank it from walking around all day at the park and being dehydrated. I got the edamame for an appetizer and the Cow Fish Bento Box and they were both great. The place has a great atmosphere with great music. Thank you for a great meal!

Google
Honestly, I went in with low expectations as I typically feel when you are in the whole Universal or Disney areas every place is packed and can effect service and food, but this was NOT the case here. We sat up at the bar as we had dinner reservations somewhere else but decided to grab a few cocktails and some appetizers/sushi. WOW, I was very impressed, the Bacon old fashioned was fantastic and the Sushi and Stick Rice Tuna app was fantastic. LOVED the bartenders, very friendly and made sure to make everyone feel welcome. Great work and we'll be back for sure.

The CowFish in Orlando is an absolute must try! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a vibrant and fun atmosphere with a fantastic color scheme that immediately put us in a great mood. Our dining experience was top-notch. We started our meal with the fried pickles, which were crispy, tangy and utterly addictive. My daughters were thrilled with their kids' meals which included a treat. My wife enjoyed her delicious sesame chicken. As for me, the jalapeño burger was a standout! It was juicy, flavorful and with just the right amount of kick. Beyond the excellent food, the service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed and cared for. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was lively and enjoyable, making it a perfect spot for a family meal. We left The CowFish feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. It's a must-try for anyone visiting Orlando, especially families looking for a fun and delicious dining experience! PS We are not a sushi family but it looked like everyone around us ordered sushi. ***We obviously visited during open hours & I tried to keep other patrons out of my pictures***

Google
Great experience in the blend of meat options with sushi was amazing. My son who pretty much only eats peanut butter and jelly was amazed. They had a peanut butter and jelly sushi bento box for the kids.. I had a bloody Mary, which was good, but all the accessories on it were pretty awesome. It came with a meat stick as a straw and a slider. My wife had the jalapeño business specialty cocktail, and it was good but very spicy. Very fun decor in the place and I especially like the fish tank right when you walk in with a hamburger with sushi rolls in it and chopsticks. If you can, I would recommend sitting on the second floor deck or even the third floor deck is great for people watching.

Google
We ordered the appetizer: crab rangoons, it was good, but would have been better if the chips were not mostly smashed into small pieces. I ordered raw sushi and my husband ordered a burger. Both were $23 each which doesn’t make much sense when you see the portion size was so much smaller.
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
First off.... The crab Rangoon dip. Get it. Ask no more questions. Just get it. I forget which burger I had but it was a basic burger but super delicious.

Yelp
the drinks were good and the truffle fries were as well! it was cool that the cheese was melted into the fires, don't normally see it like that! the burger my bf got was okay and my sushi was pretty good!! i wouldn't say i would go back just because of the price but other than that, wait wasn't long and the staff were all very nice!
google avatar

Whisper W.

Yelp
Excellent sushi! We were very impressed with the selection and quality. Their specialty drinks were fantastic as well. The edamame and loaded fries were a perfect appetizer to start with. Be sure to put it for a reservation as it is a long wait time if you try to do a walk - in seating.

Yelp
Food selection was incredible and unique, with tasty options for land or sea as the name suggests. Table was outside and had nice view of universal park in the center of it all. Place was not very crowded when our group of 6 arrived. The server brought everything out within almost 5 minutes (drinks, appetizers, entrees), didn't ask if we wanted anything else before bringing the check, and knew there was a birthday at the table but did nothing special. BUT we saw him and other waiters singing happy. Birthday to the table next to us. It was comical for our group and we didn't make anything of it at the restaurant to create more drama, we just left. Not sure if it was nepotism, maybe the owner knew the table and it's their policy to only sing sometimes, maybe he was flirting with them.... how the other table got his A+ service and we got the B team I may never know. With other options in universal I'm sure I can try other spots in the park!

Yelp
I was at Universal on Sunday with my besties and we were craving sushi and a good burger and decided to check this place out . I will say I like the vibe and the atmosphere . Overall the sushi was really good. It's just a bit expensive. They also have a kids menu if you are on a budget. I thought it was cool they offered bento boxes with sushi and burgers . I think the only thing I didn't like was they charge a lot for gratuity for a party of more than 6 which I wasn't aware of. The server was nice .
google avatar

Jessi M.

Yelp
Service was friendly but not attentive. For was also meh. I ordered the Cold Sweet Potato Noodles (which were drenched in chili oil) and the Cowfish Bento. I had to send back the slider on the bento because I asked for a vegan substitute and I got a regular slider. I also asked for the whole thing to be dairy/egg free and it came with mayo. I also ordered a mocktail which was good, a little sweet but it was okay. Overall wasn't impressed here.

Yelp
Pretty standard middle of the road chain restaurant. I will say the $12 Brussels were better than average. I'd rate a solid 7.5/10. Only thing missing was some bacon or pork ontop. They had a great char and were sauced well. I had the $22 Boursin Bacon Burger as an entree. It basically falls out of your hands. Taste was fine. A standard burger. This place seems basically like a Chili's to me.
google avatar

Yelp
Was expecting more. Fresh sushi and good truffle fries but the rolls didn't taste good. Especially not for the price. Staff were kinda rude when trying to get a table/reservation. Our server was very nice though. This is a one and done place - will not come back.

Yelp
Sounds like a weird combination, right? When my sisters and I were looking for dinner at Universal's City we found Cowfish. It was actually the perfect combination for the 4 of us. Rachel and Sarah love sushi. I am allergic to shellfish and Diane wanted a burger. So Cowfish it was. The decor was fun and eclectic with fish and cow decor. the staff was super friendly and the food was fantastic! My sisters loved their sushi - I'll just take their word for it. And the burgers were enormous! I loved my burger. I went with the Boursin Burger. It had the most amazing garlic & herb boursin cheese - so good! Then they topped it with applewood bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and onions. It was delicious. The sweet potato fries I had on the side were really delicious too. I love the idea of bringing a sushi bar and burgers together. It's like two restaurants in one and I know it satisfied all four of our appetites!

Yelp
Popular restaurant at the Universal Studio City Walk in Orlando FL. It was highly recommended by the staff at the resort we were staying during our visit. Had to try what's this about, to start with try going during early evening hours before the rush comes in, wait times may go up to 2 hrs with after the parks close. We got seated in the outdoor covered patio with the view of the city walk, pretty good view from there, our waitress was super helpful and gave us some good suggestions , I have a good allergy and the restaurant took the best care in ensuring the food was served without any cross contamination, they customized my order of the rolls. The place is pretty spacious with two levels of dining and a bar. I haven't tried their burgers. Was only there for the Sushi, the quantity of food served is decent and worth the price per item. We had ordered the Crab Rangoon Dip and a Crispy Brussels as appetizers. Went for the fusion rolls Firecracker - customized the Boss - customized Dion's OMG! Rolls Spicy Crunchy roll All tasted amazing. I would prefer the crunchy rolls be a bit more crunchier that what they had. One observation I had during the visit, I had seen a staff member who was dressed in kitchen attire use the restroom and didn't wash their hands. Hope the restaurant makes sure they train their staff to maintain hygiene standards. The restaurant takes instant feedback, we met a person out side who took a survey of our experience which is an amazing thing to do. This is a great Sushi fusion place, do try it .

Yelp
The Cowfish mixes 2 completely different cuisines, BBQ and Sushi, and somehow still makes it work. I got the Tropical Storm Roll and the Dynamic Duo Burger, and together they satisfied every craving I've had for the last week. The sushi had multiple different types of fish that blended so well together. The fish was soft and succulent. And the special sauce (I think it was like a ponzu-esc sauce?) added so much flavor to the roll as well. The burger, although it was cooked well-done when I asked for medium, was seasoned perfectly and had so much juice I could basically dip my sushi in it. It also came with a little piece of sushi as a garnish. The biggest issue with this place is the pricing. I know it's because this place is in the middle of CityWalk but the price was a little out of pocket. The burger, although it was delicious, just did not have enough volume to cost $25. The roll was a little more understandable, given that it has a lot of different fish mixed in, but another $25 for that still hurt my wallet. But the worst part of the pricing was the drinks. I got 2 mojito-esc cocktails for $18 each. They definitely weren't worth that much. Other than that, the service was great. Servers were polite and attentive. Nothing too crazy, but definitely made me add a decent tip. Overall, The Cowfish is such an original place with great food, so I can't give it a low rating simply based on pricing. It deserves a good 16/20 in all honesty. FREY OUT!

Yelp
I recommend making a reservation if you want to come here. The line after the parks are getting out is long. We easily made a reservation in the universal app. They have indoor and outdoor covered seating. There are two levels of dining. The food was yummy. The krab ratoon dip is a must. The tuna avocado tini is definitely great if you want a light and cool appetizer. I got the Bento box with a hamburger slider and a fushion roll it also came with sweet potato fries and edamame, my favorite in the box was the cucumber salad. My husband got the burger sushi, this was a very good and I think the dish that could sum up cow fish. Our server was nice seemed a little overwhelmed at first but I think too many tables were sat at the same time. It's a fun and colorful environment.

Yelp
Second time here about 10 years apart. Made a reservation and were taken in on time. Place was busy. Sat upstairs in a round booth and service was spot on. Good drinks, and appetizers. Fried pickles were very tasty. Table of 6 I was with ordered mostly burgers which looked and tasted awesome. I have the Jalapeño popper show stopper. Fabulous. Perfectly cooked. One of our meals got screwed up and they put meat on a meatless option. They not only took care of it quickly, they took it off the bill. Top notch customer service. Really interesting fusion options of burgers and sushi. You gotta try the peanut butter burger at least once in your lifetime. Well done team and management! Awesome experience.

Yelp
In Citywalk the shopping district of Universal, this is a prominent restaurant. I wasn't sure but our hosts are foodies and I trusted them. Great sushi rolls as well as a few that will challenge your thought process. Service was fast from welcoming, to seating to the food being served. Cool environment, great for kids and families. I would go back again though there are quite a few great sushi restaurants in the area as well!

Yelp
After a long day, walking through the parks, Cowfish Sushi was just what the doctor ordered. Instead of spending tons of money on overpriced, mediocre food at the parks, we decided to eat outside in city walk. Although the sushi could've been better, our overall dining experience was delicious. Our waiter Ty was great, describing the plates we asked him about as well as giving us tips about some other local things in the area. I will say that our favorites were the loaded fry and crispy sushi, rice appetizer, as well as the cookies and cream milkshake. That milkshake was out of this world!
google avatar

Yelp
Surprisingly good food for a place that serves SO many guests. I expected a little more churn & burn. I had the omg roll with coconut shrimp & mango and it was so tasty. I especially liked that there wasn't a ton of rice in the roll. My husband had the burgerishi which was very fun and different and tasty. Our kids had the poke bowl (yum!) and the massive burger (which was devoured, but he said the banana was a "little weird" lol!) Our server, Denise, was great with the recommendations and even offered to-go cups for our wine (welcome to resort life!). The decor is cool and makes for a fun vibe.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place a few weekends ago as we became Universal Annual Passholders and glad we got to! Cowfish is right in City Walk overlooking the parks. The ambience is nice but nothing too special. I was there last month for their anniversary and tried food from their specialty menu and let me just say I wasn't ready lol. The portions are pretty large and SO hearty! There's no way you can leave here hungry, no matter what you get. We started with their parmesan fries which are always gonna be a favorite of mine but Cowfish may be in my top for the best! They were so good I forgot to take a picture haha. For entrees, my husband got their cheeseburger roll which is insane to think about but was pretty tasty! I got the prime time filet & lobster roll which was to die for - that need to be on the permanent menu! Our server was sweet and very funny as she dealt with me and my many many questions! I'll definitely be returning to Cowfish on my next Universal day!

Yelp
Sat at the bar and greeted by a bubbly bartender who was very helpful in deciding on what to get we went with a simple Red Bull and Tito's Definitely a win for the first stop of the day!

Yelp
Pretty solid choice and a hidden gem out in the open, just across the street from Universal Store City walk on the opposing corner. The Crab Rangoon Dip is delicious and has real pieces of crab in the dip. The wanton chips are delicious and the sweet chili sauce gives it an extra layer of depth. Brilliant! The Buffalo Burgushi was pretty interesting choice and fusion food done right. The chicken could've been slightly less dry or maybe slow-cooked in buffalo sauce or something, but it wasn't enough to ruin the good. And the staff were stellar, even with how busy it was. Bit of a well-oiled machine in the chaos of being at a theme park. Well worth going! Also reservations are probably needed for tables with how busy it is, but the bar may be open (look for the *black* seats). Bonus points for the awesome music, mostly alternative like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, and The Killers.

Yelp
My group was really intrigued by this restaurants menu and wanted to check it out while on vacation. The prices are high, but that's to be expected when it's in a city walk right outside of Universal. The menu primarily had variations of sushi rolls and burgers with alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks available. My husband and I tried the bento box which included a small cheeseburger, 4 pieces of sushi and some sides. Overall the food and flavors were very good. I honestly didn't care for the alcoholic in the boozy milkshake. I was expecting to barely taste the alcohol in it, and instead both the milkshake and the maraschino cherry on top tasted like they were mixed with 100 proof moonshine. The atmosphere was fun and we liked being able to choose between the outdoor patio or an indoor table. There can be a long wait time, so I highly recommend booking a reservation early. Service was average compared to other great experiences. I would try again, but expect an expensive bill if you're going to dine here.
google avatar

Mila F.

Yelp
Sooo delicious! I saw people rave about the burgers and ended up with the poke. They had just the right mix of ingredients that were all fresh and tasty. Seaweed salad, edamame, crunch, fresh tuna! I couldn't get enough ! Service was super quick and helpful at the bar at helping me choose my meal and it was so cute and well decorated! It's catered to universal studios so you can't expect less. But lots of space for families / visitors with a large bar area. I didn't get a drink but saw a couple come out and they're def insta-worthy and look delicious !
google avatar

Sara L.

Yelp
Cow fish was SWAMPED the night we went but we got so lucky and found two seats at the bar right when we walked in. The service was excellent even for how busy they were and the food was exactly what I expected. It is quite loud when it's that busy but not so bad it's overwhelming or anything like that.
google avatar

Caroline N.

Yelp
Cowfish is the fam's favorite place for dinner while visiting Universal Studios Orlando! Adults and kids both loved the food, service, and ambiance. Don't eat in the park, eat here instead. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Giselle D.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant in citywalk. I did not have a reservation and was able to walk in with a 5 min wait during the week for lunch. Service was amazing and the decor of the restaurant is really cute! We got recommended the cheeseburgooshi- by our waiter and it was so good! 9/10 It's basically a deconstructed burger in a sushi roll with rice and the outer wrap is fried potato sticks. Might sound weird but it tasted just like a burger and you should definitely give it a shot! The boss roll- This was underwhelming 5/10 and lacked any flavor. Agreed that this was a skip and would try other items on the menu. The bloody mary was perfect and came with a mini burger and beef jerky straw. Overall , I recommend checking the place out as there is something on the menu for everyone. It's not just sushi, they have burgers and milkshakes too!
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
Our server was Perfect! The nicest person. So attentive and helpful. She always checked on us. She does a wonderful job. A manager (Lisa) stopped by and she was just as sweet. I would definitely recommend the service here.. and the food and atmosphere... you won't be disappointed! I would give them 5 stars!
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
There's nothing like a long, hot, sweaty day at Universal and being welcomed into one of the coolest places I've ever been. The drinks were crazy delicious, the sushi was fresh, and I've never seen fusion like this. The burgerushi was unbelievable! I wish we had something like this in Ohio.
google avatar

Miso J.

Yelp
The s'mores shake and the crab Rangoon made it for me! The lady bartender with the black hair is so nice and took her time to explain the menu. She is a gem, and really made it for me. Stopped in after a long day of waterparking and decided to try here. There's outside seating great for people watching. The sushi bento box was a pain point -- the sushi rolls were giving Publix, slider was alright, Thai cucumbers were ok and the edamame lacked salt. Pretty lack luster for the $22 imho. My friend ordered another roll and thankfully I got to try it bc the flavor was there and the fish was fresh. I would come again and try the burgushi and be more adventurous!!
google avatar

Stephen B.

Yelp
It's a pretty standard theme park restaurant. Full of tourists which means it can get crowded the service was fine, not exceptional and not terrible - really about what I expect from this type of touristy place in a theme park. It's really expensive, again as one expects at a place like this. I had a pretty good old fashioned and the rolls were pretty good. For a theme park it's worth a shot.
google avatar

Sabrina T.

Yelp
So far the reservation process has been miserable. I made a reservation for 8:15 and was told it would be almost a hour wait. So I asked for first available and was told that would be 10 mins. Almost 25 mins later and no one knows when a table will be ready. Out of all the restaurants to choose from, really wishing I would have went Chocolate Emporium.
google avatar

Caitlin B.

Yelp
My husband is a big sushi guy while I am absolutely not, so I was super excited to try Cowfish which had something for both of us. The vibe in here is super casual but fun (we loved the fishbowl at the host desk). I got the Buffalo chicken burgushi and my husband got the bento box. We both loved our meals. I was excited to try a milkshake with edible glitter (so pretty!!! But so sweet) Overall I think this will definitely be high on our list to revisit.
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. Had an artist flare. If you are not a fish eater it's a little hard to find something but around all the fancy words I found a cheeseburger. We ordered crab dip, edamame , sushi, and cheeseburgers. It's a cute place. Sushi is good. Crab dip super yummy. Edamame ams cheeseburgers typical. The bill was a sticker shock. Who spends $158 at lunch? I would recommend but we will not go back.
google avatar

Jacob C.

Yelp
we had a bit of trouble with being seated as someone had already taken our table somehow. however this just added to the experience, when we were seated we were quickly asked if we would like any drinks which came quickly. soon after we had our mains and I had the something double deuce which came with a great amount of sushi and tasted amazing. the music while we were eating was also amazing, one of my favourite songs came on which was monster by skillet. overall fun time and good place yippee!
google avatar

Mercedes D.

Yelp
I love the C.B.C.L.T burger! Holds the number 2 spot for best burger I've ever had. Tuna and avocado tini is a great app. Had a couple of their sushi rolls but nothing to rave about, most of them are overly spicy IMO. If you are into mock tails, try the dragon fruit spritz... sooo good! The mini burgers in the kids bento box aren't the best but cute dessert (rice crispy, Swedish dish and fruit roll up piece to make it look like a sushi piece).
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Incredibly underwhelming. The idea of Cowfish is fun: burgers and sushi, what can go wrong? The truth is that neither burger nor sushi stood out, which was disappointing. After a long day at Universal, we were starving and decided to check out Cowfish at Citywalk. Between my fiancé and I, we got three items to share. +/- Fusion bento box with firecracker roll: Fun idea, but in execution wasn't that great. Mini burger was decent. Firecracker roll was ok. Sweet potato fries tasted alright, but was basically cold and limp. Edamame was fine. $23 +/- Flamin salmon roll: not bad, quite bland to be honest. $19 +/- Crispy Brussels: probably the best item in all honesty. Brussel sprouts were cooked well, crispy on the outside and softer on the inside. Dip was decent as well. $12 Service was alright. I made a reservation and they took us all the way up to the top floor. Restaurant wasn't packed by any means but they tried to give us a high top table. When we asked to sit at a different table, the hostess obliged but was very exasperated with us. Food takes a bit to come out as well. Overall, it was an alright meal, probably wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Laila R.

Yelp
Reservations were very easy to make. The service was amazing, our waitress had great recommendations for us (I forgot her name!). The sushi was amazing as well. The one thing I would say is you can't decide between burgers or sushi split them with your party. My husband and I couldn't decide and both got bento boxes to have the best of both worlds but ended up ordering another sushi roll. The decor is fun and it's a great restaurant for kids!
google avatar

Kubra K.

Yelp
The cowfish sushi burger has halal beef options and delicious burgers! Make sure to ask your staff members which burgers are halal and feel free to go crazy with the toppings! They have plenty of seating indoors and were able to accommodate my party of 11 through making reservations through the universal app so we didn't have to wait in line. I chose to get sushi and it was so yummy!
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
Located in Universal city walk by Universal Studios. We sat at the bar the service was very good, the lighting and noise level was perfect- not too bright or too load. Music was classic rock. The food was Great! I got the spicy tuna with avocado it was fresh and tasty. My husband got the Georgia roll he loved it. If you go and can't get a table the bar is a perfect spot to eat and drink.
google avatar

Robby M.

Yelp
The place was really neat, the folks were friendly and helpful, and my burger was pretty good. But - get the Wild Mushroom Tacos...this beat everything on our plate so much we visited again during the trip just to order them. OMGOSH, they were so wonderful. Now I'm sad I'm here and not there. :( Maybe I need to revisit the move to Florida with Petunia!
google avatar

Heather W.

Yelp
This has been a long time favorite and requested by my teen whenever I'm giving him pick of restaurants. You really do have a great variety here even for non-sushi eaters. The sushi is always super fresh and delicious. The calamari was probably best I've had in the area recently. The batter wasn't overpowering nor was the calamari over cooked. It was so tender. Service was spot on. The decor has changed a bit my kids do miss the interactive screens, but I get that having to change due to Covid era. I still love the cute fish tank at the checkin desk upstairs. Take time to look at the details! If the weather is great - sit outside and enjoy the views and people watching.

Yelp
This is a must for every Universal Trip. I love coming here, seeing the fish, and getting the sushi. The mini-burgers are also pretty awesome. All the servers are nice and it's very quick overall. Would definitely recommend, it's a very neat place. P.S. For those wondering, they do serve ketchup.

Yelp
We came here in the mid-afternoon for a quick bite after seeing people recommend Cowfish. We ordered at the bar for takeout. After perusing the extensive menu, we ordered Jen's Fresh Find. While there were some patrons in the restaurant, it wasn't busy. Our order took 30 minutes. To be honest, the sushi roll was expensive for what you get. As a sushi-lover, I wouldn't recommend coming here for the sushi.

Yelp
Realistically, I would probably give this place a 3.5, the service was great, the atmosphere was typical of a restaurant at city walk. However, I was excited for the uniqueness of the food and it kind of fell short. For appetizers, I got to try the Brussel sprouts and fried pickles. The Brussel sprouts were good and the pickles were average. I got the buffalo chicken burgushi which I was excited for, it was good, but the price felt too expensive for what I was getting. I also got the flamin salmon roll. This one was a bit disappointing. It's a deep fried roll, but it tasted a bit dry. I think it would benefit from having some kind of sauce on it. Overall, it's good, but there is better, cheaper sushi in Orlando.

Yelp
Everything we got was very good and filling! It was a twist of American and Japanese! If you at looking for some Asian fusion food in the Universal area this is the spot. A little expensive but if you share it's not too bad. The service here was absolutely amazing and our server was fabulous.

Yelp
We ate here twice on our recent visit (end of April, 2025) to Universal Studios, located in the City Walk, Cowfish had an upbeat social vibe with very good service. The menu was an interesting & creative fusion of traditional sushi, flavorful burgers, and the blend of the genres! We Absolutely loved this restaurant and I would WELCOME them to SWFL to be able to patronize more often!! Highly recommend!! Bon apatite!

Yelp
Look, coming from NY we know great sushi and this just wasn't. It was average at best. I guess we should have went with the burgers but we wanted something on the lighter side. The waiter was very friendly and they got the food out quickly. This was welcome after a very long day in the parks.

Yelp
Service was friendly and not fast. The server was good but the kitchen wasn't super fast. The food is low quality, over-salted (fill in the blank - burger, vegetables, fries, etc). The fries came out of the kitchen "heat lamp warm" and had the texture of an hour old McDonald fries. The burger was overcooked and was drowned in salt. Prices are park prices with better food likely inside the park. Two burgers and a beer are about $70 out the door. Outside the park this would get a one star.

Yelp
Super hungry after a day an Universal we were struggling to find food without a horrible wait. The wait to get in here for a table was horrendous but we sat right down at the bar, so that was a huge plus. We got the tuna and avocado tini, the crispy rice and i think the flaming salmon roll. Took a bit to get the food but it was pretty busy in there. Everything was delicious, fish was fresh, sauces were flavorful. Service was good, and the place was a bit noisey but thats to be expected. I would come back here again if I was in Orlando.

Yelp
Have to say that this was an unexpected treat while on our visit to Universal Studios over a two day jaunt. Lizzy came right away and got the drink and appetizers started and simply put- was a pure delight. The food started coming in waves- perfectly timed and as expected. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the salad was big enough for my wife to not be able to finish. My burger was amazing- cooked medium rare as requested and was juicy and flavorful. My daughter loved her Mac-n-cheeses as any kid would and ate all of her vegetables. The space has plenty of seating both inside and out. there were heaters outside and plenty of patrons taking advantage of them. Alas, we had been rained on enough to opt for indoor seating. Noise levels were normal and and the decor is very modern and clean. There is seating at the bar and you can watch sushi while it's being made. We ordered one roll and it was good- not over the top but respectable. The service really was the star of the show. Thank you, Lizzy for making our meal so enjoyable.

Yelp
If you are sensitive to dairy beware of the Krab Rangoon dip ! It's delicious but after a while it gets to be a bit much. I loved the chips that came with it and found myself just eating those alone. Our rolls were delicious and tasted very fresh. We ordered the fries but they never came but we were glad because we were too full to even eat them. This restaurant is stunning and had a nice vibe I feel like it has something on their menu for everyone (even those that don't like sushi). I would definitely return for their unique roll selections.
