The Crack Shack - Pacific Beach

Visited July 7th, LUNCH OMG, I love providing reviews but this one takes the cake, or rather chicken! Now, it was our daughter and my 1st time and potentially our only but I must say, not forgettable. While our travel companions went across the way to In-and-Out Burger, I wanted to go somewhere new and not on our side is the country. Besides, the name of this place was encouraging. The next appeal was the menu. I enjoy poutine. My curiosity took hold when reading the menu and Mexican Poutine stood out! So, without hesitation, that’s what I ordered. And my daughter, who loves ice cream saw the Cookie Monster. Oh boy neither disappointed. The MP should be shared with a group or independent non-faint of heart. It was wonderful. It had the fixings of. Chicken taco but on top of boardwalk fries! Sooooo good! And filling. Unfortunately, not know how much you’re given, I could not finish. The chicken in it is flavorful and juicy. Everything is fresh: cilantro, green onions, queso, tomatoes made this dish. All served in a sheet pan. As for the CM, D’VINE. But to sweeet for me (yes, spending intentional). The staff was friendly. Prices are a bit high but this is Cali. If this place is still around when next visit, I WILL VISIT AGAIN!

Excellent food, outstanding customer service, and we love the outdoor/indoor vibe. The food is always fresh and served quickly. The Mexican poutine fries are without a doubt my favorite—there is so much flavor to them. We also love the firebird sandwich, bone-in chicken with honey butter sauce, and the coleslaw which has a very unique combination of pickles and red jalapeño chili peppers—delicious! The best part about this place are the one star reviews used as wallpaper in their bathrooms. Hilarious and very entertaining!

I really enjoy their chicken since tried their half bird option from little Italy. Not sure why this time wasn’t as tasty as before and I despise the fancy fries. And the kitchen took forever in a non busy Sunday afternoon. For the fried, The sauce is just weird for me as they add pineapple, chicken bits (not good and dry). In contrast, their server was nice and attentive. Side note, there was a weird dude while we dine so maybe pay more attention to what is going on with your surroundings. PB vibe isn’t my favorite

I'm a food snob from New York that studied at CIA of Hyde Park, NY. No exaggeration: One of the Best Chicken Sandwich on Earth! Order the "Firebird!" It's a boneless thigh - battered and seasoned with a special chili mix and bacon slivers. It's spicy culinary perfection! The Crack Shack is a covered outdoor custom Chicken sandwich "shack." It's not an elite restaurant; it's just really - seriously good food. In addition, the Crack Shack makes the best seasoned fries, that I've ever had I my life, and accompanied by any one of their Chicken sandwiches, it is enough to leave you stuffed & satisfied!!! I give the Crack Shack my highest marks, "5-Stars" for "best custom fast chicken sandwiches and fries." They're 2nd to none. Reasonably priced and friendly faces at the counter! Kudos to the Crack Shack!

We found the Crack Shack on the way to San Diego. And all we decided to stop and give a try. The place is amazing, like factory style, super cool. The fried chicken was juicy not too dry and greasy, the corn cake was good not too sweet. And they even have very nice bar here. Highly recommend!

Crack Shack in PB is a match made in heaven! Come for the chicken, and stay for the cookies. We were blown away by the quality of all the ingredients. From the chicken, to the slaw, to the fries - everything tasted fresh. Don’t forget to load up on the house made sauces they have ON TAP. I was blown away by the thousand island sriracha, I would have drank it if that was socially acceptable. We can’t wait to go again - sit in the sun and enjoy delicious food with friendly service. What more can you ask for in the beautiful beach town?

Outstanding crispy chicken sandwiches for every craving with an obstructed ocean view. Seasonal sando menu is a can't miss for delicious specialty chef creations. Don't skip the sauce bar either. Premium price , super premium quality. Best chicken sandwiches in the game

FINALLY a Crack Shack closer to my house! I got the katsu chicken sandwich and the triple C milkshake and both were absolutely stellar and so fresh!! The location is great right on mission blvd with lot and street parking in the area. Indoor and outdoor seating available and a bigger menu than some other locations!
