Me and my fiancé had dinner here last night and it was so tasty! We both ordered the craft burger and one craft hot dog. It was delicious! With waters of course and it came out to be about $43 bucks before tip. The staff was excellent in offering recommendations as we told them it was our first time. Better burger than Jack Browns in my opinion and more meat too! Recommendations: Tots over fries - add Parmesan seasoning Tots weren’t soggy at all - crispiest tots I’ve ever had

Found this when looking for somewhere close by to eat and it was amazing! I got the chicken Caesar wrap with chips. The chips are homemade and seasoned well. We also got an order of pork rinds which came out warm and seasoned well. My mom got the single cheeseburger. The burgers are fresh! The staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. This will definitely be added to my list.

This casual cooked order hamburger joint has a good vibe, perfect for hamburger dining. It lacked signage to show where to place your order. I ordered their signature, the Craft Burger to go. It comes with not one but two slices of American cheddar cheese, sliced red onions, pickle, and their special Craft sauce. Fortunately, they wrapped the hamburger in waxed paper, making it easy to eat while driving. The meat was delicious, perfectly cooked, and slightly smashed. Overall, I deducted stars because the burger was too salty. Also, the Craft sauce was not remarkable. The service was polite. Next visit, I’ll order with mustard and ketchup,and tell the cook to apply just a little salt. The burger certainly satisfied my hamburger craving for the day as well as my appetite!

My sister suggested we meet for dinner here, and I had never tried it so I was down! Simple eats, good flavors, and reasonable prices. I got the muffuletta dog which was tasty and different. The seasoned fries are yummy too with the craft sauce. No complaints here! Indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which is dog friendly.

This is "the spot" to get a good juicy burger. Full of flavor, picture perfect, good portion, and not overly priced. I am beyond glad my husband and I stumbled across this restaurant. This will be now our new burger spot for years to come.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this burger spot! Even though the restaurant is small, their burgers and flavors are big and bold! My family and I absolutely enjoy their burgers. OMG my mouth is watering by the thought of it 🤤…Their prices are definitely reasonable based on the quality of their food. This is our go-to burger spot so if you happen to be in the area, passing on through or don’t mind making a 40 minute trip out to this location (like me and my family does), then whatever you do, check them out because they are worth it! Btw my family started eating their food before I could snap a pic, luckily I only picked up mine when I remembered lol

Found this stop on Google. Seemed like a place where I could find a good burger at a good price. I was right! The burger here is made with fresh meat right on the grill just behind the counter. The bun was soft, the toppings were fresh, and the burger was juicy! One of the top restaurant burgers I have had. We got tots and fries both were quite tasty and cooked perfectly.

The craft sauce is a must try too. The service was fast and friendly. They offer high top and regular seating inside, and outside has uncovered seating as well.

Came here on a Wednesday for lunch to try for the first time. I had passed by this place several times and have always wanted to eat here. I'm not a huge burger person, but I will say that cheeseburger was very delicious. I just got the single cheeseburger and my son got a pimento bacon cheese cheeseburger with fries. The french fries were OK. There was quite a few people there during the lunch, rush. I will definitely be back again. I did like that they had tables outside as well. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food.

I decided to try something new today for Friday dinner. I heard about this restaurant on Yelp, and other Yelpers said it was recommended. They were SO right! This restaurant is at the corner of Valleydale Road and Caldwell Mill Road, a few spots down from Publix. It is a really cute place. When you walk in, the grill is right there. I was greeted immediately, even though they were working hard. I was asked if I was the online order, and they had it ready for me, front and center. I ordered the build your own burger (with pimento cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, mustard, and BBQ sauce with the seasoned tots. I got the Chicken Philly and side salad for my husband. Then I ordered two Caesar salads for Saturday's dinner. They look so good! I got home and fixed plates. My husband was not scheduled to come home today from his conference, but he is coming home tonight. I tasted his sandwich and it was flavorful. I think he will really enjoy it. My burger and tots were amazing! The burger fell apart while I was eating it because I had a lot of toppings on it. Each bite was delicious and I totally cleaned my plate. The tots were tasty also. I stand with the other Yelpers and recommend that you try this place.

The food was incredible, I ordered the patty melt and Parmesan garlic fries, guys were fast and informative as well as polite, they also had Pink Floyd playing on the speakers, not just any song you'd hear on the radio. Place was clean and well maintained too.

The food is always amazing but this evening I went with my family and the young guy taking our order was super rude and unpleasant. He didn't greet us when we walked in, I even said hi but no response. He acted annoyed that he even had to help us. It was super uncomfortable and he needs to really be coached on customer service. It was bad

I hadn't been in here before but now I can see this is definitely a place to be coming to regularly. I always want the service to be great if possible and then I want the food to be great next. The servers here were all great. The group was all moving and working constantly bc this place was already busy at 6pm on a Friday night. They were all great servers and the food was seriously delicious. I had the main burger and the seasoned fries and I would have eaten that exact order twice. Supper yummy. Cool little place to sit with others or even alone. Nice vibe in here.

Ordered a to-go burger, chilidog, & seasoned fries. Opened bag at home & had no fries. Plus the lettuce was old (yellow). Tried to call but they wouldn't answer. Good food but poor service & inability to contact overshadows everything.

Whether in person or takeout, Craft Burger offers a variety of tasty burgers and fries or crispy tater tots (with parmesan rosemary seasoning - yummy!) that will make you want to come back for more! It's hard for burgers and fries to travel well, but theirs somehow do better than most. Love local restaurants that do it well consistently as Craft Burger has for several years. We're glad they just opened a new location on Hwy 280/Greystone to make them even more accessible!

First things first. Burgers and dogs are fantastic. The seasoned fries are delicious as well but $7 plus for a slider like cheeseburger? Great place for a $50 lunch. Outdoor seating, also right next to the ABC store so thats convenient. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Just either wish the prices were a little lower, or portions were larger. All in All as solid 4 And based on the owners comment below, I won't be back.

Craft Burger has the juiciest burgers! You will need at 2 napkins when you get one. Their fries are great too. Orders are filled quickly.

Quite possibly one of the BEST cheeseburgers in Alabama! Do not sleep on this one folks. Yes, it's quietly tucked into a strip mall in the suburbs just around the corner from Publix, but that does not in ANY WAY diminish what they're doing here. The Craft Burger is two perfectly crispy smashburger patties with grilled onions, melty American cheese, and Craft Sauce. I could literally eat Craft Sauce with a spoon! (Get extra, because you'll want to dip ALL THE THINGS in this stuff!) I love their seasoned fries and seasoned tots, but they also make these absolutely incredible chips in-house that may be my favorite chips ever. We often will order extra sides just because we can't decide what we're in the mood for.

==== Hwy 280 location ==== Where should I begin?? Well , Wifey and I were famished and wanted something quick but did not want the oh so regular choices. So we hit Hwy 280 to begin the search and right out the gate we see The Craft Burger. Now , we have heard rave reviews from our friends and we see The Craft Burger all the time just never thought to try. Well WE DID! Upon entering we noticed a very clean establishment nearly 100% on the heath score a major plus. Then , there is Sal the Mgr. that took our order he was EXTREMELY patient and helpful this being our first time there. While we were trying to decide Sal introduced us to the owner who is on site. Nice gentleman Barry is his name. Explained how his company began I must say we were impressed. So, I had the Craft Burger and my wife had the Carolina Dog!!! Whew! what a treat I mean everything was perfect NOTHING WAS OVER SEASONED the tots were crispy and my burger was pure perfection..! Now it may look small but it is filling it packs a man's punch. My wife's Dog was sooo delicious she said I don't mind spending $40.00 here!! The Craft Burger is a must try you will not be disappointed unless you just want to be. The sweet tea was juuust right it was actually tea and not syrup. Oh I almost forgot the brownies OMG!!! Made in-house fresh and moist wow! So if you're in the mood for a burger or hotdog or a sandwich even ,they have those too! Stop on by The Craft Burger it's definitely worth a try. Sal! you definitely made our experience superb!! Our burgers were delicious! Can't believe I've lived so close for years and never been there. Our family of 4 went for dinner and everyone loved their burgers. Service was fast

Really enjoyed checking out the Craft Burger- it's a down to earth place that cooks great burgers of all varieties. With options for singles or doubles, you don't have to break the budget to get a good meal, and their season fries were to die for. Their signature craft sauce is very yum-yum sauce in its look and flavor- very sweet, but it grows on you. Will be visiting again soon!

We just ate there for the first time and it was both awesome and reasonably priced. The slaw burger was a six on a five scale. I intend to work my way through the entire menu which includes a Philly cheese steak, Cuban and muffaletta hot dog.

Burgers are always great, as are the sides. Just a great burger joint. Calling in an order can be very frustrating. More than once have tried calling for the phone not to be answered, then walk in to an average crowd and cashier saying phone hasn't rung. Just go and eat in.

Phenomenal burgers, fast service, nice selection of beer. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Dogs are welcome outdoors, as one patron had theirs there with him. The seasoned fries and Craft sauce is to die for, whatever it is. I don't even know, but I wish I had the recipe to make at home since I can't drive 3.5 hours to get some whenever I have the craving for them. I can't wait for a reason to be in Birmingham again, just to come here to eat. 10/10, would recommend.

If your anywhere near here, and you like hamburgers, your a fool if you don't come by this place. I recommend the single cheeseburger all the way (lettuce, onion, tomato) and add bacon. That's a true Cheeseburger in Paradise. I get the regular fry's. The owner Barry is usually around. So yourself a favor and get a real hamburger for a change.

Really loved to eat both the hotdogs and hamburgers, but the last time I went it seems that something has changed with the hotdogs. The weiners on the hotdogs seem to be a cheaper version and the chili wasn't near as good. I was very disappointed this time. Wasn't bad, but not the best anymore! Not worth passing up the other hotdog joints anymore to go there!

Yummy burgers! Do I need to say more? Adding an order or two or three or more of their delicious seasoned fries are a must!

Service was okay. I really felt the burger was just okay to me. I wasn't super impressed. Restaurant is very small and there is no service once you sit down unless you get up for it. It's a counter service. Tables still should be cleaned though.

We heard about Craft Burger after their win the the Birmingham Burger Battle. We go try out the winning burger each year. And this burger does NOT disappoint! We got the classic cheese burger, a single and double. I added bacon to mine. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. All the flavors are nicely balanced. Our sides were French fries and tots. The seasoning on the fries is a huge win! It's Rosemary, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese!!! They will add the seasoning to the tots as well. The most surprising moment was we also ordered the muffuletta hot dog. It's a 10/10 all day long. It's everything a muffuletta sandwich wants to be. The service was quick and everyone was very kind. We will be making it a regular stop.

Wow! My first trip to Craft Burger today. I have been missing something. Best. Burger. In. Town. The meat was obviously fresh ground and cooked with just the right amount of char. Fresh tomatoes and lettuce. A great soft bun. Hot off the grill. I shared some tatter tots and seasoned fries with my wife. I love tater tots and the dipping sauce for the fries was excellent. We went at lunch time and it was a bit crowded and a bit noisy, but not unacceptable so. Kudos to whoever selected the music playlist which played softly in the background. Looking forward to going back. Want to try something other than the cheese burger, but it's just so good, it's going to be hard to order anything else.

Delicious! My mom lives nearby and regularly talks about picking up dinner from Craft Burger. While in town visiting we decided to go and she is right. We were greeted by the owner and quickly had our order taken at the counter and found a table. Mom had the slaw burger (which is her current favorite) with tots and I had the turkey burger with seasoned fried. The burger was delicious. Great bun and I love a smashed burger that is still juicy. When they said seasoned fries I automatically assumed the typical seasoned salt but I was wrong. Salt, herbs, parm - they're delicious. Will definitely go again!

I wish I could give 4.5-4.7stars. It's a good spot, with good food, and good prices. Burgers, homemade style chips, salads... all very good. Staff is friendly, quick and attentive. Small selection of cold beer. Slight ding for cleanliness but whatever, good diner style spots are rarely that clean. Will definitely be back.

I have literally never written a review of anything online before but this was by far the best burger I've ever had in my life and I immediately felt compelled to share this. Hands down the best burger in the state of Alabama and such a hidden gem. Great quality and quantity. Seasoned fries a woman's dream. Unless you live close you probably shouldn't come here because you'll think about it every week and would be let down if you can't come regularly. Only issue is the sprite drink fountain only ever comes out as club soda but we let it go because of how good the food is.

I had extra time after leaving the UPS and decided to grab lunch - so glad I did! This was my first time visiting and I look forward to returning. I got The Cheeseburger and the name speaks volume, it's THE Cheeseburger. It may look small but it's big on flavor, served fresh from the grill. The seasoned fries and special sauce was also a great combo to complement the burger. The service also was nice and I surely will be back!

Craft Burger was AMAZING! Had a large group of about 20 baseball players/family and Craft Burger accommodated us beautifully. The food was very good. I had the bacon pimento cheese Burger and highly recommend it!

Don't waste your time with this place. I came here with some friends thinking that it would be a good local burger joint. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I was. The burger was tiny, expensive, and there didn't even seem to be semblance of effort into making this burger even slightly special. Both the friends I came here with shared my utter disappointment. Save time and money by crafting your own burger or letting McDonald's or Burger King craft you one of theirs.

May be my new favorite place. Very small and simple food but with great flavor with no fancy ingredients. Loved this place!! Burgers are good. Expensive for what you get though. The service isn't great and the location doesn't seem as clean as it did when it first opened.

Went in on a Sunday after church-12:30pm. It was packed. We waited in the line to get our order in at the counter. The line went pretty fast considering how long the line was. Every single worker was super friendly and even got to talk to the cook-Ricardo. He was so nice and kind. It is a very small restaurant & crowded, but oddly enough they are able to fit many tables. We found a table pretty fast and got our food within 10 minutes. Not much of a wait time. I would say this is a basic burger place. BUT the burger blew my socks off. I ordered the Slaw burger and seasoned fries. The slaw was different than any I have had before and the burger was cooked perfectly. The fries were so so good. They also give you a mayo based sauce which is very good to dip anything in. In addition to that, they also have many hot sauces to choose from. I opted for the Tabasco sriracha and Crystal hot sauce. They even serve beer; we didn't order any though. We had a coupon: buy one get one free, but I think the prices are great even without a coupon. I really look forward to trying a hot dog from there on my next visit.

Probably one of the best burgers around. Simple and made to order. Fries, onion rings, tater tots. All good. Craft burger is very good, double patty with craft sauce is consistently good.

I always get the best customer service! And it doesn't matter if I'm looking for something more healthy, like a turkey burger or something more southern, like a hot dog, they have it! And the tots are my favorite! Great job!!

I drive for Grubhub now, which gives me opportunities to discover new places to eat. My latest delivery brought me me to The Craft Burger. I saw the food they were putting out and it made me want to try it. This double patty burger was juicy and cheesy. The bun was soft. The caramelized red onion and pickle on the bottom gave it acid and zing. This is an honest burger. I'll be back to try more of their menu including The Swiss Burger and the Steak Sandwich.

Not a bad spot at all. Simple menu, plenty of seating, and friendly staff. I had a burger and some tater tots, kept it simple. The prices aren't too bad at all and the burger was really good. Nothing too fancy, they're not trying to do some crazy artistic burger thing here. Just good, juicy, well portioned burgers and tots that were fried to perfection. The people doing the cooking here obviously care about the quality of their work. I think they've got beer in case you need one, and fountain drinks for those of you who like to grab a refill before you leave. Overall just a good, solid local burger place that's definitely worth a shot if you're nearby and looking for a quick, simple meal at a good price.

Great game-firmed patties - great burgers - wish they had a teeny bit less American cheese and will order mine that way next time. All in all, this place gives Twisted Root a run for their money. I actually like their steamed buns and the flavor of the burgers a lot. They also have great fries! Yum!!
