New management regime needs more housekeeping and customer service training, based on my first two visits since the venue reopened.
Visit 1: BOH staff on their break in the outdoor seating as I approached the main door, who went back inside about 10 steps ahead of me and let the door shut in my face. Bought a white wine which was room temperature and was advised that they had forgotten to put the bottles in the fridges. Team member offered to put ice cubes in the drink…
Visit 2. Went in at 5pm, felt like they had just opened? Stock stacked up in the FOH, menus and table cards scattered on the floor. Toilets with no loo roll.
Quality of some of the products has dropped as well. Cheap UHT fruit juice from cartons, for example.
Will stick with other pubs nearby for now and try again in a couple of months. Hope they do sharpen up though, as this used to be a great venue with a professional and friendly FOH team.
