I grew up on Hawaii my whole life and moved to the PNW last year. This restaurant by far has been one of the best experiences to remind me of the food from home. It is not screaming Hawaii like other restaurants do, which I enjoyed the most about this restaurant. The food did all the talking and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be back soon.

Great place for a girls’ lunch! I came in with two girlfriends. Thomas was able to recommend some dishes, and went so far as to cut a burger into thirds after suggesting we could do lunch family style and try a bunch of stuff. We ended up with the bulgogi tacos, the crawlspace burger, and the Korean banchan salad. Standout favorites were the bulgogi tacos and the addictive fries and sauce that came with the burger, but everything was delicious. Not too heavy, not too spicy, not too salty…but enough of each that it was a totally satisfying lunch.

Excellent restaurant and people. We came to the island on Thanksgiving Day, and after a half-day visit, we found that there were no restaurants open today on the island. So we just sat down in front of a restaurant-this one. The staff who were preparing for tomorrow's restaurant activity found us and came out to ask if we needed a free French fries. Later, he even invited us into a restaurant to take a seat.Everything happened when they were not in business time.😭😭😭😭And vertical bars are absolutely delicious. The freshly fried French fries are crispy and salty on the outside, and the aroma and soft taste of potatoes are inside. Just fried, a little hot, and cold tomato sauce can stimulate your taste buds to the greatest extent. In short, both food and people are too good to be perfect. Recommend to everyone! ! !

Great spot with awesome drinks and even has vegan options for both lunch and dinner! Hopefully they’ll add some vegan choices for appetizers and happy hour but will still continue dining in even if they do not. Highly recommend this place!

I was so excited when this gastropub opened, all of my favorite flavors (Korean and Latin) in one place! The food is off the charts, the cocktails and wine selection are fantastic and the staff is just lovely. I am pescetarian and my husband is vegetarian, and we've both had plenty of dishes to choose from each time we've visited. One thing I've noticed is that every element that goes into Chef Jason's dishes are well thought out. I've had the marinated tofu salad (pic attached), and the tofu is perfectly marinated and cooked -- even people who don't like tofu will love this dish. All of the influence of Jason's Korean culture also shines through in his cooking -- the Korean veggie platter is absolutely stunning. I love the crispness of the salad leaf wraps, the tangy zing from ssamjang, the well marinated and grilled veggies and tofu -- this is a healthy option that is so satisfying, I could eat this every time I come here (seriously). I recently had the kimchi grilled cheese and I have to say, I had no idea that grilled cheese needed kimchi in this way. Think of a grilled cheese and the acid from tomato soup to cut it -- imagine that, but times 10 in flavor from the kimchi and 4 cheeses. Who says grilled cheese is for kids?? I've had the mushroom tacos too, they were hearty and so tasty. Something I've noticed is that Chef Jason uses interesting, quality ingredients. Forget button mushrooms. He'll use king oyster and portobello mushrooms. Forget buying store bought tortilla chips to serve, he makes his own, seasoned like nothing you've ever had. Pickles are made in house and again, the most delicious pickles I've ever tasted. Everything feels thoughtful and curated for my experience. I freaking love that. We're excited to try more dishes next time! Will report back.

Crawl Space Gastropub should be included as a destination restaurant in the Seattle area. The owner and head chef comes from a long line of restaurateurs. He has put his extensive knowledge of how to combine delicious ingredients to good use. The familiarly unusual flavor combo's are exquisite. Each dish we tried had perfect mouth feel and palette invigorating flavors. The atmosphere was inviting, the ambience was soothing and friendly. The staff was attentive and spot-on professional. This is a quality establishment, with quality food and staff. All for a very affordable price. If you are looking for something delightful and different, check out Crawl Space. You won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back to enjoy another beautiful gastronomic experience. SFR

Google
New Korean fusion spot on Mercer Island!!! Highly recommend the paneer katsu burger + Korean bbq veggie for vegetarians (plate is big enough for 2-3 people!) and the beef bulgogi is out of this world. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Will be my go-to spot to bring friends and family. Easy parking. Could not recommend more!!

Yelp
Great food great service. Ty was exceptional. He even makes great cocktails off their great cocktail menu.

Yelp
A new and exciting gastropub on mercer island. We came for weekday lunch to try it out. The ambiance is dimly lit and feels like a casual bar setting. The space itself is small for actual dining seating, but there is decent bar space for happy hour hangouts and drinks. The food was good, we ordered the bibimbap and some appetizers. The fried chicken appetizer was quite tasty and well seasoned in addition to being crispy, but not too oily. The bibimbap also had good flavors, but was lighter on the toppings. The drinks were crafted in house and quite tasty! We enjoyed the unique sodas that were added. The service was also good, the owner personally greeted us and brought us kimchee when it forgotten and food was delivered in a timely manner. The parking was easy and plentiful out front. The cost was a bit on the pricier side, but felt standard for the area at about 25pp. Overall a nice new addition to the area. Would recommend the drinks, but not great for large parties as the seating is limited.

Yelp
I had the big kahuna crawlburger which is a burger with pulled pork. The pork was very good, not dry at all. The burger got a little lost with the flavor of the pork, but a good burger. Good service very friendly, but seemed like the waiters were still learning the table numbers, our food based us by a few times. We will be back and try other menu options.

Yelp
I've been waiting for a place like this to open on Mercer Island for so long, and it did not disappoint! I went last night for the first time with my husband and 7 of our friends. We made a reservation on OpenTable, and as soon as we arrived, our table was ready. We were greeted enthusiastically by Thomas, the manager, who is probably the best restaurant employee I've ever encountered--seriously, his energy and attention to detail were unmatched. We ordered quickly, and the food came out super fast. Jason, the owner and executive chef, checked in with us several times throughout the night. I always think it's really cool when owners take the time to engage with their guests, and it made the experience even better. Between the nine of us, we tried nearly half the menu, and everything was incredible. Some of the items we ordered were: the Ahi Tuna Salad, Chicken Katsu, Indonesian Rice, General Tso's, Kalua Pork Tacos, Bulgogi Burger, Bulgogi Tacos, Ahi Tuna appetizer, Mochiko Chicken, two orders of the appetizer wings, several Musubi, and five cocktails. The only "negative" feedback from my friends was that the drinks weren't quite as impressive as they expected, but honestly, the food and service more than made up for it! I would have attached some pictures, but I ate everything too fast! Parking was super easy since it's in more of a strip mall setting. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation because it filled up really quickly. I'm already planning to come back to celebrate my birthday here soon! We've been so busy it took us too long to try this spot when we live so close, but we'll be regulars from now on. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I loved the experience of dining at the Crawlspace Gastropub. I told my boyfriend I wanted Kalbi and he suggested we go here. I checked the website to see the menu and to read the about me section. I'm from Hawai'i so the menu spoke to me! I did discover they were sold out of Kalbi ribs, but the food options were too good to pass up so we still ate here anyway. My boyfriend called to double check if the Kalbi ribs were indeed sold out and it was. They replaced it with braised short ribs. We made a reservation to secure a table. We arrived to a cute little restaurant. The ambiance is pretty dim. The host was friendly and he sat us right away. We already knew what we wanted to order because viewed the menu. Ordered drinks first and got a dirty martini and the lilikoi maitai. I highly recommend the lilikoi maitai. It's tropical and delicious. Next up, food. We ordered A spam musubi to start and for our entree we got the chicken katsu and bulgogi fried rice. The spam musubi is made fresh and has a decent amount of sauce. Definitely something you might want to consider eating with your fork and knife, but the flavor was great. The bulgogi fried rice was very oily and the meat over powered the taste of kimchi. It was really weird because it mainly tasted like a bulgogi mushroom fried rice versus what they advertise it as. Also, the rice was very brown from the sauce and mushrooms. Left a bad taste in my mouth. The chicken Katsu made up for the bulgogi fried rice. I hope in the future, they get the kalbi back because I'd like to try it. I would like to go back to try different menu items, but overall it was a pretty good experience dining here.

Yelp
The food was just alright, too sweet for my liking. I would give this a 3 star but the vibes were amazing so I'm giving it 4. Our server was actually an amazing human being and we came during the Seahawks game which was awesome. Ok back to the food. The grilled cheese, funny enough, was my favorite dish of the night. A tad too greasy but other than that, very very solid grilled cheese. The kimchi fried rice was just okay, again very sweet but lacking in the kimchi department. Maybe we got the wrong sauce for the chicken sandwich (we got buffalo) but it was just alright for us. For the bulgogi tacos, the bulgogi was overpowering and much too sweet, I wish they toned it down a little.

Yelp
6/5 stars! Tied for best restaurant on the island, if not the best! We have been one time, instant fans for life!! We got the crispy wings, side of mac salad, tofu tacos, and the kahuna burger. Everything was amazing bite after bite! Our server Ben was awesome! The cocktails were awesome! The Mai tai is authentic and makes it feel like you're on Oahu! The chef came out and was beyond nice! Everything. Was. So. Dang. Good. Fun christmas decor right now that's done right. But it feels cozy and also classy. You won't regret coming here! Go go go!! Instant favorite! Aloha!

Yelp
I was looking for a lunch spot in Mercer Island and stumbled upon The Crawlspace Gastropub, which just opened a few months ago. Always game to try a new place. Here's my take on the items we ordered: Taco Trio: Of the 3 meats: chicken, short rib, the bulgogi was our favorite. It was flavorful and the meat was moist. The chicken was good, but the short rib was on the dry side. Creole fries: The fries were on the bland side. I was expecting more of a kick. Mochiko chicken had a nice flavor, but was over cooked and super crispy. Perhaps it's intended to be served this way, but it's not what I was expecting. The salt & pepper wings were nice and crispy, but I also felt this dish lacked flavor. JT enjoyed the wings. It may not be fair of me to compare the salt & pepper wings to what I would get at a restaurant in the CID. The service was great and staff friendly! We were constantly checked on and our water glasses were always full. I love the Asian inspired food and the location, as MI is an easy meeting spot for lunch and there's plenty of parking available. This is a great spot for lunch, happy hour, dinner and good for families. This is a new spot and I see the potential. I plan on coming back to see if my experience was a one-off and I would like to try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
The food is SO good. Hawaiian, Korean, Latin, American fusion. My kids loved the kids chicken katsu, kids grilled cheese on fluffy Japanese bread, and spam musubis. They never run out of musubi because they make them fresh to order. I got a taco flight on taco Tuesday. It was delicious--chicken, bulgogi and short rib. Each one was so flavorful and fresh, topped with my salsa of choice and a side of their homemade kimchi. Right now they have festive decor for their "Santa's Crawlspace" and they are all decked out!! They have a private dining room available and reservations can be made online. They also have karaoke night. The owner and staff are so friendly! We will be back and want to try the kimchi grilled cheese, wings, and burger.

Yelp
Night out with friends that suggested we check this place out. They had just opened in September. Glad we made reservations as it did get busy. It's a Korean/Hawaiian fusion which was nice as I am from Hawaii. Found out the owner is from Hawaii and he owns the Yummy's Korean bbq chain. Love their banchan!!! He has a bunch of Hawaii motif hung up in the restaurant so it kind of made us feel like we were back on the islands. We ordered the mochiko chicken and mochiko tofu for our appetizers. Both were good, especially the tofu. Sorry we ate it too quickly that I didn't get any pictures. lol. Entrees ordered: Korean fried chicken, Kimchi grilled cheese and added the smoked pork and General Cho's chicken dinner. The two of us enjoyed our Korean fried chicken sandwiches. Our one friend said the Kimchi grilled cheese was good but messy to eat and she couldn't really taste any kimchi in it. Our other friend that had the General Cho dinner order it a little spicy and said that it turned out to be too spicy. He kept drinking water after each bite so just a word of caution that even at the lowest level of spicy, it was still too spicy. Our waiter was great as he kept filling our bottle of water on the table and very personable. They were busy and looked a little short handed but he was able to keep up with the crowd. Even the owner was dining at the next table to us.

Yelp
- Not good for non-drinkers - Food: 2 stars Service: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Price: 1 star Overall: 2.75 stars Let's face it, most pubs have great food. They tend to be a bit more flavorful to make you drink, but I think it's too much here. We arrived shortly after they opened on Friday, and the restaurant was about 40% full at that time. There was only one waitress serving everyone, but she's quick and efficient and I like her. You can also scan the QR code to pay as well, which she will appreciate. I got the kbbq chicken bowl ($19) and hubby got the bulgogi bowl ($23). Our food came after 10-15 min, and they look great but portion size is super small. I usually have leftover everywhere I go, but not this place. Both plates come with kimchi (or pickled carrots), cooked Korean vegetables (one leafy green and one cooked bean sprouts), Mac salad, and the meat of choice. I think his has slightly more Mac salad and meat as well. I enjoyed the chicken, but they were a bit too salty for me. My husband also said everything is super salty and he was super thirsty after, so maybe some MSG is involved. The plates we ordered were essentially bibimbab with a super small portion of rice, and you can usually get much more food (rice or side dishes) from other places. That's right, you'd get free side dishes if you visit a Korean restaurant as well. The CP value here is quite low and even though it's fusion, nothing is really Hawaiian other than the Mac salad (they serve that in Asian restaurants in Hawaii a lot). The interior design is somewhat industrial, and I like the wallpaper in the bathroom. The ambiance is great for drinkers. You can also charge your laptop at the bar seats. However, back to what I was talking about...I do understand that they tend to make food more savory to promote alcohol consumption, but I'm not a fan of such practice when it's overly done. On top of that, the portion size is small for the price you pay, though I've never dined on Mercer Island and can't make a judgement here. My husband said it is normal for here. He also said the food is soso and he won't come even if it's $10 cheaper, and he rarely has a strong opinion about anything he ate. While we won't step in this place again, it might be great for whoever that orders alcohol with their meals.

Yelp
Wow, great first impression! Ok, you have to remember this is just week two and I am so impressed at how well they are rocking it! The owner was amazing & the staff was top notch! The space has that vibe you want after a long day ....dark with a cozy causal feel, yet just upscale enough that you know this place will be your new favorite hang! Can't wait to try more of the menu, I will definitely be back, is tomorrow too soon? I hear they just started serving lunch.

Katherine Y.

Yelp
Coworkers and I came for lunch last week. I was so pleasantly surprised with a Korean and Hawaiian influenced cafe. This is such an upgrade for Mercer island. I like their floating candles decor, it reminded me of Harry potter scene. We ordered cream sodas, chicken sandwiches, wings, musabi, kalbi plate for lunch. The wide cut fries that came with the sandwich were dope. It came out piping hot (which I love ) I love my chicken sandwich, it was very filling and juicy. Coworker mentioned the Kalbi was a bit too fatty. All in all I loved it and will definitely be back.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a bit now and today was the day! Everything was fantastic, from our host/waiter Joe greeting us the minute we walked in the door, and answering any questions we had on the menu, to thanking us for our visit when we left. So, customer service is TOP NOTCH, but I haven't even gotten to our meals! I absolutely LOVED their Korean Banchan salad with seared sesame crusted ahi tuna, and my Mom greatly enjoyed her Crawlburger which came with creole fries. (I stole a couple of those and they were fantastic with and without their "Crawlsauce.") My only regret? That I haven't been before today! What a fantastic place to eat on Mercer Island, I will be back! (Many times!)

Kelly S.

Yelp
This Hawaiian-Korean fusion hit the mark. As a Korean-American who travels to Hawaii every other month for work, I've got creds. I've been waiting for this place to open on Mercer Island for months. There are very few options for good food and drinks on the island and I am breathing a sigh of relief. Finally, I don't have to leave the island for good food and I can invite my friends to come to me instead! I knew going on opening night would mean some wait time. It still would've been nice to be greeted by the host within a minute of entering, but another party and I stood by the door for over 5 minutes before the host came out to say hello. He was nice enough, just not timely. Opening snafus. Once we got seated, we ordered: 1) lilikoi mai tai - 4/5. not quite the Monkeypod with the lilikoi foam, but was still good and a good size. 2) Smokey old-fashioned - 4/5. VERY smokey, but good 3) fried chicken sandwich - 5/5. hard crispy crunch and juicy. Our fave! Could use a little more pickles. 4) kimchee fried rice - 5/5. We thought the kimchee was just on top rather than integrated throughout, but come to find out they blend some kimchee (like in a blender) and still do infuse it into the rice. More palatable for those not so accustomed to kimchee, but still adding extra kimchee on top for kimchee lovers like me. Smart. It's the dry version so don't expect the wet, oily version. 5) mochiko chicken - 3/5. This was our least fave since it wasn't as flavorful and didn't have furikake like I'm used to in Hawaii. Overall, we would definitely go back to try other dishes and to just hang out on their comfy chairs. The owner came by every table to say hello and to ask how everything was. That's a nice touch that makes things go from good to great. Soooo glad we finally have a place that has good food, good drinks, and aloha vibes.

Heidi M.

Yelp
We stopped in on their opening night and had a nice dining experience. Main dining was full, so we sat at the bar. Nice to see it was busy! Creative menu, we tried the bulgogi kimchee fried rice, the wings and salad. Everything was good however the rice was dry and salty:(. Dark inside, family friendly, several TVs and loud music. I wish they offered more red wine by the glass:( All and all, it seemed like a good first night. We will be back soon.

Tara M.

Yelp
Fantastic new spot on the north end of Mercer Island! The food was so delicious, we cleared all of our plates. The Hawaiian Korean fusion of flavors were amazing and unlike anything you can find in the area. The drinks and mocktails were so delicious and fresh. The service was great, the team was very friendly. The owner and chef Jason came out to say hello! The restaurant had a big bar selection and is great for watching sporting events. Overall cannot wait to come back!

J S.

Yelp
Outstanding. Stumbled on this place and the food is amazing. We did the tacos, one order chicken, one pork, both were delicious. Chatted with the owner, it's an owner/operator joint and I love that, usually a higher level of care and attention. Looking forward to coming back to try more dishes!

Erin K.

Yelp
I was looking for a new restaurant for dinner and decided to try The Crawlspace Gastropub. We waited for a table for around 20 mins, which I don't mind. They did have some benches outside for us to sit on. It was a fun bar environment, great for groups and gatherings. However, once we got seated we did unfortunately get seated right at the entrance next to the hostess stand. Then we waited around 15 minutes to receive menus. Our waiter was nice and tried to check in with us when he could. The food did come out quickly and they always made sure we had enough water. We ordered the popular crawlspace burger and the KBBQ dinner. I found the crawlspace burger okay. I did not love the raw onion in the burger. Enjoyed the patty itself with the cheese. However, the fries were amazing. The fries were super crispy and well seasoned. The KBBQ dinner was well-balanced. I enjoyed all the sides that were offered with the KBBQ dinner. In terms of the KBBQ dinner, the chicken was okay. I do want to give The Crawlspace Gastropub a second chance, so I will be coming back to try different dishes and maybe come back at a different time.

Mark Y.

Yelp
The place just opened four days ago and is something unlike anything there is on the island and I mean that in a good way! First off it's more like bar food but on a next level, Korean Asian fusion that is. We had the crawlspace wings with sweet gochujang sauce that had some heat to it but nothing overly spicy. The service was great and even when they got busy still came to service us. For main dishes we got the bulgogi taco, the bulgogi smash burger and the Korean chicken crispy sandwich. I really enjoyed the pickled cabbage, cucumbers and radish made this a big chicken sandwich! Everything we got was good and will need to go back again not only to try the food but all the unique bar drinks and they've got a great happy hour on food and drinks Mon-Thu from. 4-6pm!

Sidney P.

Yelp
They've just opened and I think there is a lot of potential, but they've got some big kinks to work out. First, the term Pub insinuates beer. They only offer 4 or 5 on draft. Not impressive. Since the food here is Korean, they should absolutely have an Asian beer on draught. Wings were TOO big, and ours came out barely lukewarm. Ugh. Food was good, but 3 or 4 basic protein items are basically re-purposed over and over again. The bar is slammed - staff working hard but saw very little hygiene being practiced. Piles of dirty glasses stacked everywhere and no handwashing. Potential, yes but I'll be given them a some time to get it together before I go back!

Yelp
Food: 9/10 Price: 7/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Customer Service: 3/10 My first time here was excellent with customer service, food, cleanliness, everything. I placed a reservation for my second time to come back again with my wife and showed up at our scheduled time and noticed that the restaurant was about half full unlike the first time were it was full. We placed our order quickly since we already knew what we wanted to order and waited a little over an hour for our food after asking a different waiter for updates since ours kept going back to other tables across the restaurant and what it appears to be ignoring the tables next to us. People came into the restaurant with large parties of around 6 after us and received their food and left the restaurant before we even got our food. Totally different experience from the first time to the second time visiting. For the food taking over an hour to make it wasn't very hot although it tasted good. People 2 tables over were experiencing the same exact thing so we both had to get up and go to the bar to get service. Right before we left, new people sat next to us, ordered, and received their food which is exactly what we ordered all within 10 minutes. In the end it all boils down to communication if there was an issue in the kitchen or something else going on to take this long. I had an excellent first experience at this restaurant, with outstanding customer service, delicious food, and a clean environment. Based on that positive visit, I made a reservation to return with my wife for a second time. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet the same standards. We arrived on time for our reservation, and noticed the restaurant was only about half full, unlike our first visit when it was packed. We quickly placed our order, as we already knew what we wanted, but after waiting for over an hour, we had to approach a different server for an update. Our original server seemed to be focused on other tables, which left us feeling somewhat overlooked. During this time, larger parties who arrived after us received their food and even left before we were served. When our meals finally arrived, they were not as hot as expected, although the taste was still good. Interestingly, the table two spots over from us appeared to be experiencing the same delay. We both ended up walking to the bar to get assistance since at this point, we were here for over 1.75 hours. To our surprise, new guests seated next to us ordered and received their food exactly what we had ordered in less than 10 minutes. In the end, the experience was disappointing, especially compared to our first visit. I believe this situation came down to a lack of communication, whether there was an issue in the kitchen or something else that caused the delay. While the food was enjoyable, the service needs improvement to match the quality we experienced during our first visit.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal and we will definitely be coming back. The food has so much flavor. I'm so sick of paying so much for food I could make myself at home. What they offer flavor wise is like nothing I could make. The tacos are unreal. The Katsu is so yummy. General Cho's delicious. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Service was wonderful too!

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
I am sorry to give 2 stars and wish I would have spoken up at the time about the raw flavor on the chicken appetizer. The chicken was cooked but the batter around it had that flavor of rawness that indicates not cooked I just picked most of it off. Did not take a photo of the batter but most of it was strangely inedible. The dipping sauce was yummy though and had just the right amount of spice. I ordered the macaroni salad on the side. Meh. Below average in my opinion. The beer was good. Asahi, a premium rice lager. Super refreshing and delicious. the menu was extensive with many specialty cocktails. The bar had numerous alcohol choices. On a positive note, the service was very friendly and the vibes jamming here. People laughing and having fun. Overall the menu appears good, but unfortunately the prices are extremely high. $25 for a burger? $16 for grilled cheese? The dinner plates are also expensive. $32 for bulgogi? I understand upselling and making profit, but really? Rice and macaroni as sides? Just saying. As a hard working person. Maybe I will give it one more try for lunch, but overall I will not come here for dinner. Just too expensive for this lady. SYOY

Love the local vibe, great food, owner on site, customer friendly, melt in your mouth offerings. Board room great for events and gatherings. Feels like home to me.

Time for quarterly get together with gal pals. Could not ask for better place. Tasty cocktails. We ordered 4 dishes and an appetizer. Ate family style. Delicious. Service is wonderful. It would be lovely if it was 21+ place but cannot have it all.

Yelp
Apps were good, Nice vibe, good drinks, helpful server. We arrived for happy hour at 4:45 on a weekday and there was a line waiting to get in when we left at 6pm. Hoping this place is successful, fun to have as an option in MI. Will need to come back for a meal.

Yelp

Yelp
My wife and I spontaneously tried out this new restaurant in our neighborhood for dinner the other night. The food was terrific, but there were some service and ambience glitches that held back the fifth star. We ordered the Bulgogi Crawlburger but were served (and charged for) the regular Crawlburger. The burger, fries, and spicy sauce on the side were all great. I just wish it included the bulgogi we expected. I'm sure they would have rectified the mistake if I reported it, but I was too eager to eat. We also had the KBBQ Veggie Dinner, which was likewise great. I loved the slight char on some of the tofu, and the onions on the bottom were just as amazing as the owner promised. The included sides (mac salad, rice, sprouts, kimchi, etc.) made for perfect accompaniments. I don't know why they explicitly ask whether you want the kimchi. Who wouldn't want the kimchi? :-) The space is attractive if a tad dark, but the music was too loud for my liking. I'm pretty eager to return and try some of the other menu items, including one of the cocktails and that Butter Mochi a la Mode on the dessert menu.

Yelp
We've visited a few times and tried different dishes. The food has been great every time and the service has been excellent. We've recommended it to others who have raved about it. Lots of fun cocktail options Good work guys and we're looking forward to checking out more of the menu!

Yelp
Decided to try The Crawlspace on a Friday night. We missed Happy Hour by about 10 minutes and there was about a 30 to 45 minute wait for a table. This clearly isn't the kind of place where HH ends and the place clears out. We were lucky and got two seats at the bar. The drink menu offers good options. Beer, wine , some NA drinks and a creative cocktail menu. We opted for wine. The Bela Tempranillo is great - give it a try. Watching the bartender work his magic keeping up with all the drink orders was impressive. Clearly a pro. While we didn't eat, we did hear others around us raving over the smash burger, Bulgogi Tacos, Kalbi Dinner and the Kimchi Fried Rice. Everything on the menu looks amazing and we are already planning our next visit to try some of their suggestions. While still new, this restaurant appears to be on the right track. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, beautiful decor, great menu options and friendly staff.

Yelp
Very cute place and ambiance! Was excited to visit due to the raving reviews but had a different experience. I ordered the bulgogi bowl and it came out later than usual. Those that came after me got their food about the same time but I appreciated how the waitress apologized for the delay. The meat was pretty dried. I had to ask for an extra side of sauce. The veggies were decent and lacked flavor. Had a feeling I should've went with the tacos or burger instead. I left spending about $30 and went back to work pretty hungry still. :(

Yelp
My husband and I have been here twice for dinner so far, and absolutely loved it! The food is delicious, and drinks are great! The Crawlspace Bulgogi Burger is the best burger I have ever eaten, and we also loved the Bulgogi Tacos and Gochujang Wings. We have a two month old, and they have been super accommodating in finding us a spot to set her up and put her stroller. I am super excited to have such a great, fun new restaurant here on the Island, and I have a feeling we will become regulars!

Yelp
The Korean chicken sandwich with garlic buffalo sauce was phenomenal. One of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in recent memory. My wife had the tofu tacos and she said she's going to add them to her list of go-to foods. We will be back!

Yelp
Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We had Kalabi and Chicken Katsu bowls for lunch. Quick service and great service. Nice clean modern atmosphere and not loud. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fun place and delicious food! Great add to the island! Hope they add more organic food and bigger drink selection

Yelp
Great food. Amazing and attentive staff. Chef genuinely engaged with customers during the opening. We had to return for takeout after few days. I made a mistake with the online ordering but they fixed the issue without hesitation. Thank you! Highly recommend the Bulgogi dinner and the crawlspace burger. I love all the side dishes that came with the Bulgogi dinner. We will definitely come back to support this local business.

Yelp
Loved the food and service here! They accommodated us in every way. The fries we shared and I highly recommend! The Chardonnay I had was very good! My meal was the BBQ Chicken dinner and it was awesome! I think it's a lot of meat and that's the point! However a "FLIP IT" option would be fun where you get bigger portions of sides and less meat. I'll be back! Soon!

Yelp
Excellent ambiance, quick service despite being busy, and the FOOD is OUTSTANDING. Unique flavor blends, great variety, lots of knowledge about flavor pairings and all staff genuinely cared about the dining experience. Food Highlights: Creole Fries (10/10 from two admitted fry connoisseurs!), and Banchan Salad (the added chicken was delicious!). We felt welcomed upon entering, were nurtured by food and service, and left with anticipation for another visit. Clearly...I highly recommend!

Yelp
Had our family dinner here tonight because we wanted to try out the new restaurant on the island . Parking was good but a little packed for a Friday night but there were spots . The wait was less than the expected 45-55min wait . The restaurant is small and the dark walls made it cozy with several ceiling lights above the tables . There were 2 separate dining areas and a bar area divided by a wall and a door. Service was very friendly and food came out within 15 mins even though it was a very busy night . We also ordered drinks and appetizers . The portion sizes were good and the food was delicious. Environment was a little loud to talk to one another at the table . I ordered the Korean tofu tacos and they were delicious. My kids ordered the bulgogi salad, Crawlspace burger and KBBQ chicken dinner. Appetizers we ordered Crawlspace wings, Creole fries and mochiko chicken. Will definitely come back and try the other items on the menu but will try to avoid the dinner hour rush.

Yelp
I've eaten here four times now, and each time I'm more impressed. Jason is super cool, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is exceptional. It's filling a massive void on Mercer Island. I just polished off the massive Korean chicken sandwich with fries and it blew me away. I had the burger last time and it's up there w/ the best burgers I've eaten. The fries are insane. Jason said it's because their fryer is hotter than a standard one. Whatever. Eat them and thank me later. Thank you, Crawlspace!

Yelp
Fantastic flavorful food. FINALLY! This is the best menu on Mercer Island and it isn't close. The service is great, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is very cool. Also fairly priced. Best thing on the island

Yelp
We went for dinner and tried the grilled cheese with kimchi, tacos, and the butter mochi dessert and loved them all! There were so many other dishes that I wanted to try so I'm looking forward to visiting again. Service was also great both in helping me make a reservation and while we were there. I didn't give 5 stars because it's pretty loud in there. At times it was hard to hear the person across from me.

Charles C.

Yelp
Lots, lots of flavor. Even better staff. Some might be uncomfortable with background noise. In toto, a success, welcome addition to MI.

Feliz M.

Yelp
Amazing burgers and fries. Love the attentive service. Can't wait for them to implement a reservation system!

Yelp
This is an absolutely stellar pub. If you love Korean food, as I do, you will be thrilled with the fusion. If you're not familiar with the flavors of Korean food, well, you're in for a treat. It's sensational and comforting, all at once. The cocktail menu is also imaginative and fun. We will be back.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service and the friendliness of the owners make this a must for the Island!

Yelp
This is just the place we needed. Very casual "gastropub" vibe but serious service and memorable food. The Loco Moco (Sundays only) will have me coming back for the rest of my life, it was thaaaaat good. Everything "house made" with real attention to the ingredients and preparation. Looks low key but is a real class act. Plenty of free parking -- an oddity now on Mercer Island.
