"Nestled in the scenic hillsides of Montgomery County, Crossvines is a new winery, events venue, research vineyard, and rustic dining destination all in one. The Farmhouse Bistro, overlooking 380 acres of beautiful countryside, works with nearby farms and creameries to produce dishes like confit chicken wings with a “Cool Ranch”-style dip, an aged brisket burger, Chesapeake crab cakes, and rockfish with wild ramps. Seasonal American menus pair well with wines made steps away. The wine list also supports rising Maryland producers like Black-owned Boyd Cru, which offers its Living Legacy red blend and our Community Vidal blanc by the glass and bottle. Crossvines does tastings in flight format, too. A summer music series on the patio is every Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at noon. Subscribe here for information on public tours and tastings." - Tierney Plumb, Kalina Newman

Great location, great atmosphere, delicious food, well-made cocktails, and friendly staff all add up to a 5 star experience in Poolesville. The duck was cooked to perfection, the crispy cauliflower was better than I could have ever expected, and the salmon was perfect. Pricing was good for what they deliver. All in all, you will not be disappointed here!

This review is limited to the golf course formerly known as Poolesville. It has been renamed Crossvines. The course overall is average difficulty with the caveat that the greens are extremely fast and can be a challenge. Minimal elevation with a few water holes. Course is very good to excellent condition. Senior rate is only $41 including cart. The staff was first rate.

I loved the restaurant it was so beautiful and nice.I went for dinner. I definitely need to go brunch or in the day time. The service was excellent and the staff made me feel welcome and went out there way to make sure guest were taken care of. I’m so glad I was able take my mother there for her birthday. The only issue I had was with some of the customers. They looked down upon and treated my family like I didn’t belong there. I’m a black women if you know what I mean. But I don’t care what they think because I will go back. It’s a customer problem NOT a business or restaurant problem. I just rather be transparent about my experience. I’m so excited to go back and definitely will go back soon. Growing up in montgomery county and not to far from here, I’m amazed how beautiful moco is. There is definitely a beautiful hidden gem. I enjoyed my experience.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend on a Saturday night. We noticed when we were seated in the bar area that a party of 9 was soon to be seated next to us. The group was understandably festive and enjoying themselves. I wonder if would be possible to place significantly smaller parties together/away from large groups? We made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves but being hard of hearing made it a bit challenging on that room with its echoing.

Get out of town and treat yourself to the wonders of Crossvines in Poolesville. This brand-new multimillion dollar renovated restaurant, winery, golf course, and venue is simply going to get better with time. Go for lunch or dinner, or call Rhonda in the catering department to plan your corporate event or wedding. This place is just amazing!

Crossvines: Casual Dining at a Michelin-Star Level Nestled in a charming modern farmhouse setting, Crossvines redefines casual dining with a culinary experience that rivals the world’s finest restaurants. From the moment you arrive, the ease of parking and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable meal. It’s a place where excellent service meets a relaxed vibe—you can even wear a hat without a second thought. Let’s talk food. The brisket burger is a masterpiece. Each bite delivers a phenomenal blend of flavors, from the smoky, tender brisket to the sweetness of caramelized onions and the sharp creaminess of aged cheddar cheese. It’s easily the best burger I’ve had, and I’m not easy to impress. The steak and eggs, however, are the real revelation. The steak is so perfectly cooked and buttery soft, it might actually yield to a fork. It’s better than the offerings at most steakhouses—and I say that as a New Yorker and seasoned foodie who has traveled the globe in pursuit of luxury and fine dining. My standards are high, my palate sophisticated, and yet, Crossvines has utterly won me over. Desserts are equally impressive, both in flavor and presentation. Each dish is an artistic creation that tastes as good as it looks, a sweet ending to an already perfect meal. Crossvines isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The food, service, and ambiance combine to create a place that is a must-visit. Anyone who doesn’t make their way here is, quite frankly, missing out on life. Highly recommend! And the infinite views of the golf course and farmland is fabulous too!

Brennen and Ryan were awesome! Made my birthday so fun. We had a private room to ourselves with a tv where we could play our own music. It was such a blast and the whole place was very nice! Even on a rainy/cloudy day!!

A very beautiful venue, I went to celebrate a birthday. Catie, our server was phenomenal. Great customer service! She shared genuine conversation with us, made great recommendations and made our visit there amazing. She is a great photographer as well! Highly recommend the crab cake and the little gem salad WITH chicken.

Yelp
From a neglected MCG muni to their flagship course. I grew up playing Poolesville Golf Course back in the day. Back when Hootie and the blowfish filmed "Always want to be with you" on site. They had a hot dog and drink with a round of golf for 15$. A few years after Covid. The county invested a bunch of money into building the Farmhouse bistro next door as well as rebranding the golf course. This has helped to bring more golfers to Poolesville. The general manager used to work at Poolesville Golf course. He transferred to a different MCG course and is back. The pro shop and golf staff are all very friendly. The superintendent has done a fantastic job the past two years keeping the course in great shape. The new cart paths are also great plus. Practice facilities include grass tee boxes on the weekend and a large short game/ putting area. Japanese Ice/water machine for hot days. I will drive an extra 15+ minutes to avoid crowds at other munis when my club is having events. Easy 5/5 stars!

Yelp
I was invited to this winery by friends and I've never been known to turn down an invitation that includes wine and food so I was there. I had fairly high expectations given what I've seen on TikTok and IG Reels but must say that they unfortunately weren't met :( So here's the GOOD & NOT SO GOOD: GOOD - The grounds are beautiful - The ambience of the bistro is cozy and comfortable - The GM ensures he visits each and every table - The cocktails - The crab cakes NOT SO GOOD - Overall Service: our server was slow and it wasn't busy at all), our server seemed disinterested in us every way from overall interactions, never checking on us, never clearing glasses and plates and never offering us refills on anything from water to wine to cocktails - Even though the GM checked on every table and had a great personality he did not direct anyone to bus our tables or refill our glasses - The food (& it pains me to say this bc the menu sounded great): Wings were tasteless and had zero salt, caesar salads were wilted, the shrimp on my salad were truly popcorn shrimp size and pre-frozen Walmart type shrimp and we even had dessert with the hopes that perhaps that's where the magic and flavor was hidden and SIGH, NOPE! The cookies were inconsistent from the perspective of one being really flat and another being about 2 inches taller than the flat one (which means they were from 2 different batches of dough and the ingredients weren't consistent) and the flavors just not playing well together for example - The Wine: they only offered two flights and only one of which was their wine (which was meh) We're always down to try new places and we know in doing so it's a gamble and in this case "the house took our money" and we won't be back for another visit.

Mary A R.

Yelp
There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived at noon. We had a reservation. We were given the wrong menus. There was no mention of wine flights on the menu and we were not offered one. No mention of which items were gluten free. Food was average. Not happy.

Yelp
We went for lunch after wanting to try the Crossvines for a while. The restaurant is beautiful, and the entrees were pretty good. However, we were charged $12 for buttered noodles for our child. The kids menu does not include prices, and we were not expecting that.

Katharine S.

Yelp
Gorgeous venue! I really love how beautiful this place is. Just for that alone, I would come back. Everyone working there seemed very helpful & friendly. I loved the mocktail they had - it was apple cider, club soda & some star anise/cinnamon. For lunch I ordered the short rib and it was delicious. The whole plate went together really well. The only issue was everything was just a bit too greasy & that definitely took away from it. - 1 star because: ~ there was way too much olive oil on my plate (you can see it pooling around the potatoes ~ there was a soggy/greasy sprout on my plate that was bright green and not fried at all ~ the potato mash was puréed but had one large potato chunk in it These are minor things, but this place is aiming for upscale (with upscale prices) so these minor things shouldn't really happen. Overall, it's a very cool spot & I'm excited to come back.

Yelp
I believe the restaurant portion of The Crossvines recently just opened. We impromptly came here pretty late on a weekday evening so we were told they were no longer accepting reservations. We ended up ordering at the bar and taking our own food outside to sit at their tables facing the golf course. We both ordered the flight (1 white, 1 rose, 1 red) for $20. We really enjoyed the CV Front Porch white wine. For food, we ordered the aged brisket burger ($21) and crossvines cheese & charcuterie ($28). Both were delicious and worth the price we paid. The charcuterie board had various meats and local cheeses, honeycomb, nuts, beets, and jam. We really liked the atmosphere and vibe. It was quiet and there were tables or sofas you could choose from to sit at outside. There is plenty of parking right out front. We also thought it was nice that right when you walk in they have a table with local items (coffee, honey, soap).

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. Even though our first visit wasn't great, we gave The Crossvines another shot. Food 1/5. Cheap ingredients, lacks flavor, not fresh. Salmon was gross. Deviled Eggs were meh. Service 4/5. Staff seemed very nice. Ambiance 1/5. Boring cheap decor. Just really stale. I got to give it to the Montgomery County here. No other county government has the audacity to open up a brewery, winery and restaurant with taxpayer money.

Yelp
For my birthday, I went to Crossvines for lunch, and it was a beautiful winery. While it was rainy and gloomy that day, you could tell it would be lovely on a warm day. The food and drinks were pretty good, and so was the service. I enjoyed my waiter - he was very attentive and kind, and overall, it was a great day. The dessert the chef gave me for my birthday, some berry cheesecake, was perfection. I just took off one star for the chicken, while good, it could've used a sprinkle of more seasoning, but I really liked the batter on it however.

Yelp
Kept hearing from multiple colleagues that I needed to check out The Crossvines. Not sure it was exactly for the food but the setting and ambiance were definitely beautiful. Went for a work lunch and it is beautiful. My colleagues said they enjoyed their food... my fish and chips was interesting. A bit under seasoned and honestly, I thought they were frozen fish sticks. They were very meaty to my surprise but not impressive. My fries were tossed in maybe a honey drizzle which was a different touch... they were sticky and the texture was weird because the honey got cool I guess after they had been tossed. The food needs a little help... my colleagues enjoyed their food and I enjoyed mine but I'm not sure it was worth what I paid or if I would order it again. Barn House Red was #1 in the flight. Wine is better to me at Windridge but glad to support MoCo Wines. Beautiful venue for an event - great views, open, airy, two dining rooms and a nice bar area.

I Love Cupakes I.

Yelp
This is the 2nd time I've been to crossvines and it's a wonderful experience. The venue itself and the ambience are both superb. Their menu changes with each season so there are always new things to try. Last October we got the Bistro Burger and the Pretzel Crusted Calamari and we ate on their patio next to the huge gas firepit. The food/service/atmosphere was fantastic. Yesterday we went back for lunch and got the Steak Frites and the Crabcakes. The food was delicious, and it was so nice and quiet during the week I cannot wait to go back. The staff are all very warm and welcoming and yesterday I met the GM Tim. It's been open for a year now and it's still such an impeccable experience!

Yelp
I'm giving one star for the two dishes we did enjoy. My friends and I went to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We ordered a few appetizers and entrees. We didn't enjoy the food. The deviled eggs ($16) were rubbery. I think they sat in the fridge for a few days. The Little Gem salad was ok. Can't really go wrong with a salad but it cost $24 with the salmon. The salmon was cooked well. The pasta was bland and we could only taste the olive oil and chili flakes. The chicken was really dry. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and the chicken wings. We also ordered the burger and it was overcooked so it was very dry. The fries that came with the burger were not crispy. We decided to order a bottle of their red wine, Barn Door Red Blend ($56). For the price, it was not good. My husband and friend said it tasted like water. After that we decided not to order another Crossvines wine. We picked a 2nd bottle but they were out so we had to pick another one. When we were dining, there were so many insects (flies, stink bugs and bees) flying around. I noticed it bothering other patrons also. I saw a man get up to open the door to throw an insect out. It was not a pleasant experience!

Yelp
The Crossvines is an event space with a golf course, and an on-site restaurant in Poolesville just opened today. They do not take reservations larger than four, but they were able to accommodate my party of 7. My friends and I gathered to celebrate my engagement. The service was as expected on opening day, but the food and drinks were worth the wait. For drinks, my party enjoyed various glasses of wine (including Prosecco, Front Porch White, and more), beer (especially Crooked Drive), $20 flight of Celebration Rose, Front Porch White, and Barn Door Red, and various cocktails (including CV Transfusion, Summer Peach Ginger Mash, Summer Sunrise Sangria, and The Emerald). For appetizers, my party enjoyed the Crossvines Cheese and Charcuterie, which consisted of local cheeses (including Blue Cheese, Manchego), preserved meats (including Prosciutto and Salami), sesame breadsticks, honeycomb, roasted marcona almonds, and whole grain mustard, and the Beet and Beef Tartare, which consisted of pickled beets and beef tartare (with strong mustard taste) served with a crispy thin sheet of rice paper. The Crispy Chicken Wings were tasty, but I'm not sure why it came with the Dijon Dill Aioli instead of a Cool Ranch Dipping Sauce. The wings were made in-house, and the meat fell off the bone. For entrees, my party enjoyed Badger Flame Beet Salad, King Salmon, Wild Chesapeake Bay Rockfish, Crispy Murray's Chicken, and Steak Frites. All of the Sea and Pasture dishes were cooked to perfection and tender. The hand cut fries that accompanied the Steak Frites were crinkle cut, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had the right amount of seasoning (salt, garlic, and parsley).

Yelp
Made an impromptu visit here. Heard a new winery opened up. Decided to check it out. Pulling up it didn't quite give winery vibes. Looked like a golf course and a restaurant. Well, it is indeed those things and a winery. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Wasn't much of a wait for a table around lunch time on a Sunday. They don't have a huge food menu but it's decent. I was hungry and got the brisket burger with fries ($3 upcharge), otherwise you get chips. It includes a bacon onion jam, and I told our server hold that on my order. I got the burger and it was on there. I told him right away and he had the chef make a new order. They even offered a glass of the red wine that I liked - red barn door and an order of wings (for my friend). They were very apologetic and provided great customer service. Chris was very friendly! I may possibly come back but can't say I'm in a huge hurry!

Chell H.

Yelp
Went to this winery on opening day. I really enjoyed the food & cocktails. All of the staff were really nice & efficient. I gave 4 starts because it didn't really feel like a winery; it felt more like just a restaurant. There wasn't that much scenery inside or outside; kind of plain.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place is pretty great! This was my first visit and we had a large group. We made reservations and they worked out just fine. The peach drink was listed on the menu but not available. They created it with apples instead and it was not good. It tasted as if the recipe was either wrong or not properly mixed. It was unbearable. I had a sangria afterwards which was great. Everybody loved the sangrias! Our food orders were inaccurate for the most part, which was frustrating. They fixed the items and brought whichever things they forgot. The wine is available to order but not for tastings or tours. I had the crab cake sandwich with fries and loved it! The checks were all incorrect and we had to wait for them to reprint and fix them. It threw off our schedule again on top of the food orders being inaccurate. This was frustrating.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Even emailed them directly to provide feedback about our experience and never received a reply. In short - Hostess was not very welcoming, service was slow, entrees came out before appetizers. Food was so-so. We were told that there were no additional desserts of what we wanted even though we saw it at another table (after we were told that). Wines didn't taste very unique. One star for location. One star for concept. Minus three stars for lack of service, food, and follow up.

Nicole L.

Yelp
We didnt know the Crossvines was owned by Montgomery County. It had a contemporary design which was appealing and overlooked the re-named golf course. There was a huge wedding venue. The very Italian manager came from restaurant association to train the staff. The service was sporadic and slow. We were glad we didnt order the lobster we saw the serving for the next table it was barely the size of my finger kind of claw. I was shocked because it was a costly dish, normally it would be filled with lobsters. The pasta and chicken for my son was decent. My chicken sandwich was ok. The dessert looked like costco grade you know what I mean for $8-9. The review about it being one of the top new places....ermm was not accurate. Hopefully things will improve.

Joe L.

Yelp
We had an excellent lunch on a Saturday in January. The food is rich, interestingly complex, and absolutely delicious. The staff was kind and attentive and nice. Chef Luis visited us at our table, and described some very interesting future plans for the Bistro.

Betty L.

Yelp
The newest dining and event venue in the Poolesville area of MoCo. We were there on a Friday evening in the fall. Lovely grounds with a golf course, a small vineyard. Superbly designed indoor and patio space. Large windows allow maximum views. A great venue for weddings or other special occasions. Food was a bit of a mix. The burger and the pork ribeye were good. The steak frites and roast chicken were under seasoned. A lot of attention paid to food presentations - color, plating, etc. I would come back for a tranquil, unhurried and comfortable setting but the kitchen may not have reached gourmet standards yet.

Rockville H.

Yelp
The food was mediocre. The calamari lacked taste and my burger was just ok. They have plenty of outdoor seating but they're not welcoming to dogs unlike other wineries. Our server was fantastic and the building looked clean and had a modern farmhouse aesthetic that is popular nowadays. My main complaint was the ambience felt a little stuck up and not as friendly as I would expect. The hostesses acted like it was an inconvenience to seat us. The clientele were wannabes too. Lacoste isn't a high end polo shirt that you think it is. Overall, I wouldn't come back. There are plenty of other places in the region that are friendlier and ultimately better food.

Kyle L.

Yelp
Crossvines is a relatively new winery in Poolesville. My friends and I went during their opening week, so we did have to wait quite a while for our food and drinks. Their drink options have something for everyone. I found their menu a little limited, but opted for their brisket burger. My friends has the chicken sandwich and fish&chips. Both my burger and the chicken sandwich were huge--I could have made it into 2 lunches. I can see this place being great for golf lovers and retired couples...the atmosphere is very peaceful and slow.

Paul S.

Yelp
We are local Poolesville Residents. This place is off the chain ! You won't be disappointed! We have gone to most place here over the years and all I can say is cheers great job !

Don C.

Yelp
Crossvines is a wonderful setting for events and parties. We had Mother's Day brunch on 5/12. The food was outstanding. Prime rib station, omelet station and long buffet were all very good ! Service was a big detraction from the rest of the experience. Used plates sat while staff wandered around aimlessly. No one told them, "Keep moving and Never leave the floor empty-handed." The server did not check on drink refills until too late. Staff were huddled in conversations on the floor while guests were looking for attention. This poor treatment cost 20% automatic gratuity on top of the $50 price per person. When did automatic gratuities become part of the bill for small parties? All in all, it was overpriced and not worthwhile.

Yelp
I visited The Crossvines today and was impressed by this beautiful winery in Montgomery County. I believe it's on a golf course and the views are absolutely stunning. We had a reservation for 3 pm but unfortunately we were very late, so we had to sit at the bar (our reservation was canceled due to lateness which is understandable). We tried to find a number to call, but could not find one anywhere, unfortunately. The winery has a period of time from 3 pm to 5 pm where the kitchen closes and there is a limited menu only available at the bar. Personally, I think that they should also give the option for sitting at tables if there is availability and for guests to still order from the limited menu for the 3 pm to 5 pm period. I also think if the kitchen is closed from 3 pm to 5 pm, they should take the last reservation for maybe 2:30 pm. Two staff members recommended the brisket burger to us and it was juicy and flavorful. I was very impressed. We tried their flight at the bar and thought it was okay. Many people aren't fans of Maryland wines and I understand but I am on the hunt for one I will enjoy so much I'II purchase a bottle. Our bartender let us know we could take drinks outside but could not eat outside. After we took our drinks outside, a very nice person, Luis, chatted with us about the winery and a lot about MoCo and Leesburg. Literally was the nicest person. Luis brought us ice cream and some other treats just because! Luis made our visit special by just taking the time to talk to us and giving us a little treat. And since there's a bar, a beautiful ambiance, and good food, I'll be back! They have some small kinks to workout, but that is to be expected since they have only been open a couple weeks.

Yelp
Sunday perfection! I finally went to the crossvines which has been on my list for a while now. My sister and I drove through beautiful Montgomery county to get there which was really enjoyable. Upon arrival you drive through the vineyards and park in the parking lot that has lots of parking. The building entrance was stunning and overlooks the golf course. The staff were extremely friendly which made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a lunch reservation and were seated very quickly. The dining room was very elegant as well as the bar which was also cozy and stunning. The dining room is intimate and overlooks the golf course and fire pit. We tried the crossvines flight which had a white, rose and red for $20 dollars. All of them were really delicious but I specifically loved the red ! We then orders the little gem salad and the wings. The wings were so so good and cooked to perfection. My sister order the crab cake sandwich and I the burger. Wow!! Both were so delicious and flavorful! The bun on both were perfection. We finished up with the sangria which was festive for the season which apple forward notes. Lastly for dessert we had the chocolate cake which was smaller than expected and the gelato which came from a local creamery which was delicious. Overall this places is not only beautiful but has a lot to offer. The Crossvines also has an amazing banquet hall where they can hold weddings, parties or corporate events. My sister and I noticed they also host some specialty classes such as wreath making and more. You can also do a wine tasting which I would love to try next time. I would recommend going here with friends, for Mother's Day/ Father's Day, or just because. PS they will be doing Sunday Brunch starting soon.

Carolyn T.

Yelp
Service and food was exceptional. Shout out to Manager Rebecca, Server Kathryn and talented Chef Reilly. Thank you for making my first experience one to remember.

Patty Q.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Crossvines but it won't be our last. First, you're struck by the beautiful setting: pastoral Poolesville in the MoCo Agricultural Reserve provides lots of calming energy. The service was good and the waitress provided recommendations on the menu. We chose the scallops and the wagyu Reuben - a nice twist. The herb fries were great and the scallops fresh and well-prepared. We also chose a wine flight - a deal at $20 for three glasses of excellent Loudon wines (two whites and a red). Can't wait until Crossvines itself is producing. I'd highly recommend for a nice dinner, brunch or really any occasion.

Michelle W.

Yelp
I don't often take the time to review but I feel so strongly about this place that I am now. I've been here twice now and my husband and I have gotten different things each time. Each time we have been impressed with everything we had. The crispy cauliflower, burger, fried chicken and fried chicken sandwich were all great. Also had such fresh fruit and vegetables with the summer salad, rhubarb crumble and strawberry cheesecake. Undoubtably best winery food in the area, but I would come just for the food and not have any wine.

Timothy C.

Yelp
I played the golf course for the first time in September and was impressed with all of the new construction and vineyards. I brought my family up to hit a bucket of balls at the range before sunset and then have dinner at the bistro. We had pasta w chicken, pasta with salmon, pork loin and the burger. All the food was good with just a few minor things missing the mark taste-wise. The wine flight was delightful, so much fun trying some local wines that were quite good. The layout is really well done and the service was friendly and professional. We had a great evening out. I'm looking forward to going back soon with my wife and kids.

Maureen G.

Yelp
Ambiance is beautiful! Had catered food that was not from the Crossvines so can't say anything about the food. Service was great!

Francesca S.

Yelp
Waaay overpriced. Go into DC and have a fun, lively vibe ( if you are paying DC prices anyway) for ten more minutes of a drive from Moco suburbs.

Michael C.

Yelp
To start it was my first time here the food and sangria are amazing. The views are nice and the band they had was great as well. The issue I had being a black male not one to play the race card ever but it felt strange a little bit in there. I was seated with good timing it was not super busy at all i have worked in the restraunt business before no where near busy. But it took at least 10mins for someone to acknowledge us. finally the hostess came over after asking if someone was going to come to our table and gave us water a party of three people and said server should be here soon then it was another at least 10mins before someone came. I give credit where credit is due finally when the server came she was very nice and attentive. The other issue I had was the black manager that was in the vicinity. Most of the time my table is not being waited on, and we kept waiting. He was going around talking to every table, but ours and conversing with the other tables while I still waited to even get water or he would be helping with look like to be new servers, but never once acknowledge my table ever in the whole process never asked how the food was or anything but was around the other tables frequently so that felt strange. I will prolly give the place another chance but hope service will be a little bit better

Eileen R.

Yelp
Ambience is beautiful...lovely decor but does suffer from noise level getting high once crowded. Service was friendly & warm Wine/drinks...yummy Food? Menu for dinner is very limited. We all enjoyed the salads we ordered - the tomato & the cesear. Entrees were not a hit unfortantely. We ordered the crabcake, the pasta, the burger, the steak frites. Burger was probably the best of the bunch - but had too much bun for my preference. Most disappointing - the crabcake. Didn't care for its flavor or texture. Will we be back? Certainly would stop by if in the area

Michele W.

Yelp
This new venue opened today. I booked us lunch reservations in the bistro and a winery tour and tasting later in the afternoon. The service was slow as it was their first day. Food was decent and drinks were delicious. On my lobster roll, the fried clams were cold and one was bad. I reported it to our server but nothing was done. The crab cake sandwich was hard to eat since it was stuffed with a lot of corn and potatoes which was an interesting combo. The duck fat fries cheese was melted on the bottom of the plate which I didn't notice it even had cheese until after I was almost done eating it and also I never got the sauce it was supposed to come with. Our drinks took significant time to get delivered at the table. After lunch, we wanted to grab a drink and sit outside but it took forever and my order was made wrong twice. After over 30 minutes, I finally got my cocktail but my friend was done with hers and luckily the nice gentleman who made mine comped them. But the other bartender seemed to be all over the place even with the menu cocktails and drinks for the tables. We sat outside and it was nice to see the hosts and servers still be very friendly and attentive even at lunch inside. We did the afternoon winery tour and tasting which was excellent. The stories and the winery's purpose is amazing, I can't wait to volunteer sometime in the fall to help sort the red grapes for production. All the wine samples were great and the team was easy to talk to as they answered all my questions and more! I'll definitely be back and hopefully they will offer brunch in the future or even happy hour with some live music.

Yelp
We were here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and excited to try a new place after a round of golf here. Sunday Brunch menu was not enticing. This was not on the menu but the waiter offered the special burger and beer (any beer) $18. Ok sounds great ? One of us got a bloody mary to start. Bacon was flopped over the side of the glass 100% RAW uncooked! Who would serve this? No napkins or anywhere to put the raw meat so it sat in the glass where we all had to look at it the whole meal. 6 of us and One of our party ordered a brunch special, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and waffle which came/was served first. We had No silverware or napkins so we asked for them. Busboy came back and gave them first to all 5 of us. fork, knife, napkin - ONE ITEM AT A TIME. VERY SLOWLY. . The person with the actual food in front of her was served utensils LAST Waffle was burned. No butter no syrup Her Food cold by the time she could actually eat it. The rest of us had burger and beer special for $18 Normally $21 for a burger and $7-$8 for a beer. Was told any beer was part of this special. Bill came and we were charged $21 for each burger. Plus $7 for a Becks ( we did not order.). So was $ $21 each burger instead of $18. Plus charged for a random beer. Waiter had NO idea what beer they had in stock and said the menu items were not correct. Yet he had to go back to bar twice to check. He Left all the dirty plates on the table (including gross raw bacon blodody mary glass) after asking if he could clear. Forgot?? Forgot 2nd round of drinks ordered? . Took 40 min to get final Check. Place was NOT busy. Several hostesses, bussers and food runners but all seemed clueless to basic customer service. Great view and ambience but with the high prices one would expect some basic training in customer care and at the very least - common sense service. Burgers were good but very greasy. At least they were served hot and fries were very good. The brunch item was terrible for $18. Raw bacon in bloody mary and signature salad was just ok with cocktail shrimp (not grilled) add-on a mere afterthought. Wannabe upscale restaurant with sub par follow through. Your guests deserve better!

Yelp
Off to a good start, this will soon become a great place for anyone to enjoy. The food and drinks deserve a five-star rating as well as the staff who were eager to assist with recommendations and to make our experience a good one. The bar area and bar staff were exceptional. We really enjoyed the setting, but when we arrived it was a little loud (dining in). The overall value was okay, with small appetizer portions (2023 inflated prices), but the main course was more generous. We will be back and appreciate another up-county venue.

Yelp
Located at a golf course / winery in Poolesville, Crossvines has typical clubhouse fare at decent prices. I had the Angus burger which was okay if not amazing. The duck fat fries are very good. They have a good list of signature cocktails and can adjust orders to suit children. The dining area and bar are nice and sunlit.

Yelp
I don't know what's happened we were there a few months ago and the food was excellent. Service was great. I was very impressed. We were there last week and it was terrible. Service was slow food with undercooked got a glass of iced tea with no ice in it. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Awesome burger & enormous crab cake sandwich - both on special with a beer for $20!! Other tables also raved about food. I'll def be back whether I play a round of golf or not. Really scenic setting and great service with friendly hosts. I'll be back soon!!

Yelp
We visited on Sunday, and had a very pleasant time. We ordered a few flights for our table of house wines, charcuterie, enjoyed entrees and desserts. *The flights were nice, and I must confess Napa is home for me, so it takes a sec to warm up to Maryland wines. Of the flights, our table enjoyed the rosè and red the best. The house wines are good and we were glad we ordered the flight. *The charcuterie board is VERY good! The brisket burger was a table favorite along with the crab cake sandwich and the lava cake. Disappointed in the berry cobbler . Too much cake type dough and not enough berries. The service was good, but our server missed opportunities to share with us more about Crossvines. For example, the charcuterie tray is fabulous---but he didn't share anything about what was on the tray (we had to turn to google.) Also, we all loved the jam---and if it is sold there--we would have bought it. But our server shared nothing about the board. The wait person also doesn't care for the onion-bacon jam on the brisket burger---and almost talked us out of ordering it----we are so glad we didn't listen. This burger is excellent! The server also didn't make any recommendations about anything, or Bistro favorites. Maybe in time the server will grow in sophistication about this beautiful place. A knowledgeable and engaging server enhances dining experiences. After our meal, we sat out on the patio for while, it would have been nice for someone to check to see if we'd like to order more wine, etc. -- this didn't happen (so we ended our evening at another winery down the road shhh!) Great ambiance, excellent food, good--basic---service and I would absolutely return.

Yelp
This is a newly opened restaurant right next to a public golf course. The view from patio and/or dining room is one of the best in Montgomery County. However, the staff need more training before the operation becomes normal. They often short of items, even wines, on the menu. Give it sometime, I hope this will be a awesome place that provides a complete satisfying experience.

Yelp
We went there yesterday and I loved the ambiance. it was early dinner so it wasn't crowded. The food menu is small but decent. The prices are a little high for me but no problem if the food quality matches the price. For context, our bill was $67.47 for two dishes, 1 cocktail, and 1 cola (tip not included). So I ordered a chicken dish, and my husband ordered pasta. We also ordered drinks. The food came first before our drinks - not good. The waitress was nice, but after she brought our drinks she was pretty much MIA. The food - I was really disappointed. Not only was it bland but it wasn't even hot and barely warm. The portion size was actually on the small side, but I guess it didn't matter anymore. So my rating is really towards the food. Perhaps we should've ordered the burger based on everyone else's reviews.
