Where To Eat & Drink In St. Louis

"With its dark lighting, pinball machines, and rotating beer specials, the Crow’s Nest in Maplewood is the perfect place to go on a first date, or to just stop by with your friend who moved here for college and never left. Play some arcade games over a few beers, and if talking about your job and your favorite constellation develops into an actual connection, you can get a burger and some chili cheese fries to share. But if instead your date can’t stop talking about his or her podcast about their cat, hope that the bar turns on the large projector they use to play old movies so the two of you can take a break from talking." - jen maylack

The grilled salmon BLT and seasoned waffle fries were absolutely incredible! The music and movie-themed vibes spoke directly to me! My server/bartender was great! My first time visiting and I’ll definitely be back!

On the weekends they do a Heavy Metal Brunch. So if you're tired of all the hoity-toity brunches with mimosas and stuck-up people, come check out The Crow's Nest on the weekends. The food is delicious, the vibe is rockin' and the staff is friendly. We started with their deep fried deviled eggs. They were crunchy and full of layers of flavors and textures. I ordered the Slinger which was a generous portion of beef, chili and a perfectly cooked egg on top of a pile of potatoes. My friend ordered the Bowl of Slop. It wasn't the prettiest of dishes however the taste was amazing! We got there right at open and the place was packed within 30 minutes. They have very limited hours for their brunch so check the website before you come.

We got the pork poutine fries as an app (half size ) While the app itself was solid, it could have used some more waffle fries to go with the abundant cheese sauce. The green chile burger sounded alright, the cheese sauce was the star again , didn't care for the ciabatta bun on a burger, was missing a crunch from something , the green chilis themselves didn't taste like anything. Mac was very solid.

We had a great dining experience at The Crow’s Nest. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean with enjoyable music and the classic movie Dirty Dancing playing on the walls. Our server was attentive, ensuring our drinks were always filled and was incredibly friendly. Our food was cooked to perfection and so much we had to take home our leftovers. We had a pleasant visit and would recommend this location.

We were in town for a concert and were looking for a place to eat brunch before returning home. Most of the downtown restaurants had long wait times so we did a Google search and stumbled across this place and loved it! Atmosphere was quirky and fun, the wait staff was friendly and answered all our question and the food was great! I love finding local establishments that offer great food. We will definitely recommend and come back on our next visit. (They had several vegan and vegetarian options as well.)

Cool metal-themed decor makes this a fun bar/restaurant. They have a metal brunch on Sundays. The back patio offers a cool breeze on warm days, and you can spend a half hour looking through all the curious bar memorabilia. Small kitchen but the fare is pretty good. And brunch! Go for the food but stay for the Maplewood ambiance.

I had the vegan burger, which was the funkiest vegan burger I’ve ever had. It was truly creative and interesting, which is rare to find in a vegan option at a restaurant. Their brussels are also vegan- phenomenal. My husband had a hot honey catfish poboy and was delighted with his choice. Vibes are great, music was a good mix, and Sara was a great server.

I love the vibe of this place and the food/drinks were excellent. I got the steak sando with sage butter carrots. So good. We also tried the deep fried deviled eggs as that seemed interesting and that was decent as well. I had the raspberry beret to drink :) Had to get myself a long sleeve shirt, so cool.
