"The rooftop at The Culpeper in Spitalfields has all the qualities that keep golden retrievers at the top of everyone’s adoration. It’s easygoing, not too loud, and—sorry to make any presumptions here, golden retrievers—has zero time for any margherita mayhem silliness. There’s also a pretty roof garden where they grow vegetables and herbs for the restaurant downstairs. "Few things are better than getting a drink or two, being overcome with sudden and dramatic hunger, and finding yourself in a pub that also offers some pretty good food. The Culpeper is just that. This pub/restaurant/hotel has a very inviting bar menu, from picky bits to main courses of pasta. And the restaurant upstairs has a slightly larger selection with sharing plates of whole fish or big bits of meat with sides.
