Google
A true rehoboth staple. Amazing food. Great service. Family owned and they treat you like family. First time here off season (we came in January) but so excited to come back in summer! The Godzilla roll was amazinggggg.

Google
The best chicken bibimbap I’ve ever had ! It’s served in a hot stone, with amazing flavor & freshness. The atmosphere is great, beautiful decor. The bartender was awesome, very welcoming and overall great service. I’d definitely recommend The Cultured Pearl while you’re in Rehoboth Beach.

Google
EVERYTHING WAS PHENOMENAL. It’s the 2nd time I was able to eat here safely having Celiac Disease. Delicious food & great service! Special thanks to our awesome server, GARRETT! :) Can’t wait to come back again! :) ( If I was a local, I’d be here more often!)

Google
Came here for a date night. Staff were all very friendly & accommodating. Our server, Garrett, was great. We got the Sushi Combo (mix of nigiri & spicy tuna roll), the Rehoboth roll & the Cultured Pearl roll. Fish quality on the nigiri were as it should be, though nothing too special. The rolls we tried were all very good though! An aesthetic, unique & popular spot with koi ponds surrounding the tables both inside and outside. A line quickly formed behind us around 7pm, so would recommend getting a reservation ahead of time.

Google
Ive only been one other time and sat above the sushi bar wishing there were a spot open at the time. This time im sitting at the sushi bar and im just in awe of everything. The sushi chefs noticed and tested me on one of their new sushis and i wish i could tell you more about it but it was this smokey fatty sushi that was just amazing. Run-on sentence worthy. Worth the visit for anyone who loves good food. 10/10.

Google
The most disappointing sushi dinner and experience at Rehoboth Beach ever. When we arrived we were told that we absolutely needed to vacate our table before 7:30 , because a reservation was coming in to take our table. WOW, we've never been told to get out of a restaurant because someone else's reservation was more important than ours. So, we really wanted to order happy appetizers. We were sternly told that only bar tables were aloud to order happy hour exclusive. Very disappointed we got a table, and we're told we need to finish diner and be finished and pay by 7:30 for their next table. WOW! We are customers also, been coming here for the last several years.. Nope, Not any more. This restaurant had so many open tables, inside, as well outside. We are appalled. Our sushi rolls were even the size of happy hour apps., yet at a regular table charged full price. Very disappointed. Also my noodles tasted rotten, not fermented, just gross. Our server never really asked. It was a slow night. I know, because I've worked so many restaurants across this great country of ours. This place now falls upon the percent of unsafe places to eat. Folks, this place has fallen off the deep end and now has cheaper ingredients as well poor service. There are so many more sushi restaurants that truly deserve our services. Extremely recommend not this black pearl place. Go somewhere that has fresher raw fish, better customer service and cares for their clients. Even the portions of sushi were very small. I wonder if the servers are jipping the clients with happy hour sizes and chargingfull price. Very disappointed and after years of coming here....never again.

Google
I highly recommend the cultured pearl if your in the area! My partner and I were in the area for a day trip and just looking for a nice place for dinner. We did not regret trying out The Cultured Pearl! Although they were busy on a Friday night, we were seated right away! We were given a couple different options for where we could sit, which was great instead of just being put where ever was available! The hostess was super sweet and helpful! Our waitress was a bit quiet, very straight forward with helping us but she was very attentive and made sure we got everything we needed! They have daily special that were great! The drinks were made very well. The variety of steamed edamame was very interesting, we tried the eastern edamame and it was delicious, they even provided moist towelettes for us since it was a bit messy! Great touch! The sushi was delicious, they had some unique options that I've never seen before! My partner got a meat sampler that was amazing! The meat fell right off the bone. For dessert we split the banana tempera. While I didn't care for warm banana, it was delicious! The decorations were beautiful and very suiting for the theme. The price for everything wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for an appetizer, two alcoholic drinks, two entrees and a dessert, the total only came up to about $100 before tip. A great experience!

Google
The Cultured Pearl is one of our go-to places in Rehoboth. We stopped by for an early Mother's day celebration and everything was amazing! We sat at the sushi bar, Simi was our server, he was fantastic. He's from Romania and was very pleasant. Jake and the rest of the sushi chefs were incredibly nice. They answered any questions we had and kept us company while we dined. We got the gyoza, vegetable medley and seaweed salad. Everything was really good but the vegetable medley was my favorite! For dinner I had the 5 piece shrimp tempura, the shrimp were huge and the vegetables were delicious. My son and daughter-in-law got sushi and the presentation was insanely beautiful. Jake recommended us a delicious whiskey and I will be picking up a bottle for home! The staff was amazing and the food was even better. We will be back soon. If you stop by, make sure you grab a seat at the sushi bar!

Yelp
Oh my gosh this place hit it out of the park for me! Easy 5/5 so glad to write this for them. So, ambiance in this place is wonderful. You walk in to koi ponds and on your way up to the table you're greeted by birds. The owners have put the sushi bar front and center as you come up the stairs, my one dislike is the merchandise stand at the front but I can overlook that. Lets look at service next, our server both times I've been has been great. They're always a bubbly and wonderful person, just attentive enough to make sure you've got water but not so attentive to be hovering. They're plesant and fun people, always willing to make some conversation and Crack a joke to spice up your dining experience. The food, so I'm from New York originally and always had easy access to good fish. So, I was super surprised by this place and their delictibe offerings. The food is not only delicious and various in type, having offerings for vegans and vegetarians as well as us normal omnivores. The sushi is wonderful, fresh, tasty and generally great. Soup was wonderful and I was happy as always with a great miso. Lets move into my favorite section, value for money! Of all the sushi places I've been Cultured Pearl is awesome in terms of value for money. I never leave feeling like I've been robbed, the prices are fair and I always leave happy. Well done, keep going you're doing great!

Yelp
Went here with a friend for my birthday dinner and sat outside by the Koi fish ponds, they gave me a festive birthday hat to wear, as well as a piece of cake for dessert. And some fish food so we could feed the Koi fish, which was fun! My Udon noodles were okay but the broth was not nearly as tasty as the broth from Miyagi Ramen .... So although it was a lovely meal overall... my noodle dish was a bit lacking. I have had several meals here and am always happy, so maybe this was a fluke. Pear martini was delicious! My friend was very happy with her meal, cashew chicken.

Yelp
This was an easy five star review! The ambiance and overall environment alone is a five star rating. The outdoor seating is awesome, not only with fresh air but water on the rooftop that looks like a higher end deck. And they had fish swimming around up there too! Our waitress Svetla was taking care of us, and she did a solid job. All their food was delicious too. The seaweed salad was a solid appetizer. So was the cream of crab soup, which did have a decent amount of legitimate crab meat. The shrimp tempura was a money entree!! So was the yellow curry with shrimp. Their sushi rolls were all solid too. We would definitely eat here again. Well done Svetla and cultured pearl team!!

Yelp
Very much hit or miss here. The restaurant itself is really nice, incorporating intricate design elements like the koi pond and well-lit outdoor seating area into the mix that make it feel unique. However the food is sometimes lackluster as the prices are high while the meal itself may leave you unfulfilled. The DC roll was room temperature and was tough to bite through. The Asian street noodles were a very small portion but the taste was great. And although our waiter was nice and attentive, the food took longer to come out than the group would've liked.

Yelp
We were near the Delaware beaches for a girls weekend and knew this spot was a must for sushi! We decided to go during happy hour time because who doesn't love happy hour. We were seating on their beautiful rooftop which was amazing vibes. We were informed that happy hour is only at the bar which is a bummer. I wish they had said this when we made a reservation or somewhere online. We did not end up doing happy hour since the patio was so nice. The food was delicious and I am glad we still ordered sushi and drinks. I was impressed with the sushi! The rehoboth roll is a must along with the eastern edamame.
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was well presented and tasty. The yellow curry shrimp was well done and the udon was likewise well seasoned. We will be back!

Yelp
The location is absolutely beautiful. The inside is multi level, with exposed beams and a koi pond. It has a tiny sushi bar, with a window into the kitchen. There is also a giant roof deck that kind of looks like the pool at a nice hotel - with almost cabana-like seating. Overall, for the ambience alone it is worth a trip. The food was also very good. The seared salmon belly sushi was maybe the best sushi I've ever had. Also highly recommend the tempura.
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
This wasn't the cultured pearl I remembered, time has not been kind to the interior, as I don't want to eat sushi in a carpeted space with fish. Definitely try to sit outside as it is a MUCH better vibe. Our server, Dan was freaking hilarious which made up for some of the flawed service of the bar and kitchen. The drinks were decent and STRONG, the lavender lemonade left me feeling flammable. To start we had the Eastern Edamame which were delicious but for $16 is criminal. The gyoza were fine. The sushi rolls were delicious (California roll, spicy California, shrimp tempura , and sea monster) although the basic rolls were lacking in portions. The Chicken Teriyaki was ok, but the vegetables weren't fully cooked (rush job as the food already took forever to come out). Overall it's the beach and you're at the mercy of beach restaurants. Not the worst spot in Rehoboth but seriously try to sit outside.

Yelp
The food was on point. The service is good. The ambience is casual chic. Great spot. Go go go and try

Yelp
Always enjoy coming here and have goid happy hour specials at bar. Can't beat their taje on dynamite roll.

Yelp
Great sushi, quick service, odd ambiance. Not sure why they have carpeting but their menu is so good it's easy to look past. Our waiter was goofy and helpful and friendly when we reminded him of something he forgot. My family prefers another sushi place in rehoboth but I like this one for a change!

Yelp
Great ambiance. Great food. Really loved the ambiance. Service was good as well. Everything was brought out timely and hot. Server was a sweetheart.

Yelp
We had not been to Cultured Pearl in a few years but have dined there previously many times. Off season and Tuesday we strolled in and got great table outside. Started w beers and 2 rolls for 3 of us.... Spicy tuna and a crunchy eel. They were fantastic. Followed with Shrimp Yellow Curry, Chicken Green Curry & Pork Belly Ramen. All very good. They have a great menu and everything we had was fresh, tasty, and nice sized portions. Very good service too.

Yelp
I recently visited The Cultured Pearl with friends and had a nice experience. I ordered the Dim Sum Dumplings and the Sashimi Starter. The dumplings were lightly crisp and smokey with soft tender ground meat inside. The Sashimi Starter had a fresh and flavorful selection of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and white fish.

Yelp
My newly adventurous daughter wanted to go here and wow were we glad we did. Away from the beach but with a spectacular multi-story space including a roof deck, huge koi pond and even a birdcage. Nice people, handling quite a crowd with an attitude of excellence. Now the food, we had veggie sushi and pork gyozi dumplings to start, fine, OK. Entrees were the bomb. My sushi is pictured, great yellowtail and the best Arctic surf clam I've had, plus their unique East of Maui roll--coconut tempura shrimp, pineapple and avocado. Wife had great soba soup, kids had 'street noodles' and Korean BBQ beef. Loved. Really a fun and memorable place.
google avatar

Dale D.

Yelp
Probably one of the best sushi experiences in Delaware, but the food is overall underwhelming, however the rooftop patio ambiance is worth the trip. The word id use to describe the Hamachi sashimi is creamy... I couldn't eat it. The sushi roll was nothing special. Old bay seasoned edamame must be the best mid-Atlantic twist to sushi! Overall would come again but don't get your hopes up for fantastic sushi
google avatar

Deanna J.

Yelp
Always excellent sushi highly recommend the dynamite or firecracker roll. Also, the ginger salad is the best ever and I get it every time. Atmosphere is also nice inside or outside outside. Has coupons and overlooks Rehoboth Avenue.

Yelp
Had my anniversary dinner here with my boyfriend. I had been one other time before when I was in town and had such a pleasant experience that I said we should come for our anniversary. We did not have a reservation but the staff were very accommodating and were able to get us a table upstairs on the rooftop area fairly quickly. The tables are very close together, however, we had a great time chatting with the couple at the table next to us. We started off with a bottle of wine and i ordered a miso soup which was delicious. The soup was exactly what I needed for that rainy day. As well as California rolls and the Tempura roll which both were great and came out very quickly even though the restaurant was packed. You can tell they use fresh ingredients here. My boyfriend got a pork dish which he absolutely devoured. After my rolls I decided on ordering a salted edamame which was too much for me to finish. I also enjoyed reading the story behind how the Cultured Pearl started, love supporting women owned/started businesses. Great place to go for some great sushi, stunning views of downtown and calming ambience.

Yelp
We weren't able to get a reservation in time, but I really wanted to eat at The Cultured Pearl before we left, so we showed up, hoped for bar seating, and got lucky! Inside is gorgeous, there's running water with little fish downstairs by the stairs and a koi pond upstairs. There is bamboo everywhere, lots of skylights, and everything feels so fresh and airy. Our bartender was amazing, very attentive and efficient. To drink, we had the Cherry Smash and the Strawberry margarita. They were both good but not our favorites, We came for sushi and we got it! We started with the special of the day, The Bomb Roll, and it was delicious. I normally don't like fried rolls, but this was really lightly battered and fried. Next we had the Rainbow, a classic roll that tastes delicious every time! We ended with a simple Spicy Tuna and loved it. When we come back to Rehoboth, I will be booking a table well in advance. Can't wait to come back and try more sushi!
google avatar

Terri K.

Yelp
The sushi was decent. My friend got a specialty roll and thought it was not appetizing. The best thing was the buffalo cauliflower--that was yummy. The tables were a little tacky feeling and the whole place smelled like bad fish. The server was fantastic.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
This place never disappoints, and our latest visit was no exception. As usual, we were seated on the rooftop, which is super fun because we get to feed the fish and enjoy the breeze. Garrett gave us the best service! We started with cocktails, mocktails, and a couple of varieties of edamame-- it's not your mother's edamame because the flavors are phenomenal (we got the Smokey and the Karai). This is not the frozen green giant stuff your mom boiled or steamed when she was feeling fancy. We then had a ton of food, including a generous serving of seafood pasta that will feed you for a couple of days (my super picky kid loved it!). We also had a variety of sushi rolls. The red dragon and firecracker were our favorites, but the dynamite roll, Thai heat, and Japan bagel were more than respectable. I'd have them all again. We come here every time we visit Rehoboth. Full disclosure: I'd drive three hours just to have dinner here, regardless of the beach. If you're in town and like Asian fare, you must hit the Cultured Pearl!

Sofia P.

Yelp
The food is quite good, but it would taste even better if they cut back on the amount of ginger and black pepper they put in their broth and curry. There' really is a such thing as too much ginger because it's a very strong spice that can easily over power other ingredients with more subtle flavors. The sushi was quite good. Fish was fresh and the rice was flavorful. I wish they didn't pack as much rice in the rolls - ratio matters! The staff was friendly and accommodating to us bringing a toddler to dinner. They gave us a nice table overlooking the streets. If this was a restaurant in an urban area, u would probably give it 3 starts based on the food but it's pretty good for a beach town spot!
google avatar

Madison F.

Yelp
such a cool atmosphere where you can enjoy fresh and delectable sushi! highly recommend sitting outside on the rooftop. it's fun sitting with all of the koi fish ponds around you. the seaweed salad is the BEST! service is great too.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Cultured Pearl is one of the best restaurants in town. It's the one I crave when I'm away. It's so consistently excellent.

Maggie M.

Yelp
Went here with my family and we had a great time! The outdoor roof seating is fantastic and they have a cute little koi pond up there! The children love it! My sisters and I all got the ramen! I thought it was fantastic! The noodles were nice and not over cooked! We also got the cashew chicken and teriyaki salmon which were also very good! Definitely would recommend! A great spot for some yummy bites and nice ambiance! Our waiter Garrett was super nice and made the experience ever better!

Yelp
Four stars, even though there were problems with the food - more like 3.5, but rounding up for good service. Drinks are a very good pour - strong, and well prepared. Sake is priced a bit on the high side. My wife ordered short rib bibimbap, which had to go back - rice was swimming in liquid, the egg was missing, and the short rib was more of a giant glob of fat than anything else (yes, I know short rib is generally fatty, but there was virtually NO meat at all). Thankfully, the server handled it quickly and apologized. Replacement (vegetable tempura a gyoza) came quickly and were quite good. Chirashi was a disappointment. The quality of the ingredients was good, but when the menu says "18 pieces chef's selection", I don't expect 1/3 to be shrimp and crab stick. Chirashi usually includes pickles, which were not included here and it felt as if something was missing. Fish was good, but the "chef's selection" seemed to translate to "selection of the cheapest available". Although $15 is pricy for edamame, the portion quantity was significant, and justified the price. Hamachi Kama was well prepared, but would have benefited by using a lighter sauce (menu clearly indicated "eel sauce", so I recieved what was expected). As mentioned, service was excellent, friendly, and available when needed. The roof patio is very nice, and the sound from the ponds drown out almost all the street noise.

Yelp
4 of us went, my daughter was unhappy with her sushi she didn't think it tasted fresh. The rest of our meals were good.

Yelp
The Cultured Pearl is a local gem! They are very accommodating and seated us outside on a chilly evening. We were the only outside, but they set us up with a heat lamp and curtains to stem the wind. We started off with some sake and miso soup which was very savory to warm us up. The East of Maui Sushi was delectable, with the crispy coconut shrimp tempura complemented by the sweet pineapple, each bite an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The Godzilla sushi was surprisingly good as I typically don't like eel- the sushi was well balanced by the eel, the sauce and the creaminess added by the cream cheese. The Hamachi and Salmon Toro sashimi was also stellar. The Hamachi had a tropical tang while the Salmon toro was very fresh and buttery. Overall, the Cultured Pearl gets 5/5 for excellent service and excellent sushi!

Yelp
This place was a fantastic end to our beach trip. The fact that they offer reservations for large parties on the main drag is a huge advantage. But the atmosphere, drinks, and food sealed it. The staff were incredibly efficient and courteous. The drinks were all great; appetizers came quickly and the dinner was the best of our trip. Highly recommend the bibimbap. Great for kids and vegetarians as well and very accommodating. Would definitely revisit!
google avatar

Brianna S.

Yelp
Perfect date night! Food was absolutely delicious and service was the best we've had in a while. Garret provided an excellent experience and was always on top of our needs. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Barb B.

Yelp
I'm a regular patron when I stay in Rehoboth. Husband loves the cashew chicken, and I usually have sushi or chef's special. The service and food are consistently good; it can get a little slow at the height of the dinner rush, but you won't even notice if you are dining on the deck. Terrific ambiance! Children can ask for food to feed the koi. Be sure to make reservations during high season.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
You want sushi, you got it! Specials at the bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are definitely a must. Went with a group of friends and everyone was pleased with their food. :) I really enjoyed my pumpkin martini! Sake is great too if you wanna switch things up. What do these pictures say to you??! I'll be back, you bet!
google avatar

Taco Q.

Yelp
The Cultured Pearl is a must-visit spot when we go to Rehoboth. We always start with the smoky edamame, and the pear martini is a favorite of mine. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, and it is well plated. This time, I went with the Korean BBQ beef for $40+ as my entree. It came with fried rice and kimchi. Gotta say it was super disappointing and not at all worth the money. My friend had the seafood pasta and it was basically oiled noodles with pieces of seafood. No flavor, no seasoning, and severely under salted. I will always come here for a good, creative martini and amazing sushi. Will probably stay away from entrees.

Yelp
Great Service! Food was great! Super friendly staff, the ambience is very cute, they have a koi pond throughout the restaurant. Something to eat for everyone!

Laney S.

Yelp
The food was amazing, as well was the service. Garret was the best server I have ever had. It was so beautiful, with all the lights and calming. The Coy Fish were so fun and everywhere. Love this place and hope to come back. Great place is celebrate my 16th birthday!!!

Yelp
Locally owned restaurant with a great backstory. Solid food. Great service. Fun ambiance.

Yelp
We had a great experience at the Cultured Pearl last week. The food was amazing! The service was exceptional, our waiter Terrance was super nice, gave us great recommendation on food and drinks! Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Garrett was an awesome waiter who recommended cocktails, dinner etc. His waiter skills were impeccable!

Yelp
Highly recommend for a lovely sushi dinner. Garrett was phenomenal, great service and super attentive. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
This was our first experience coming to the Rehoboth Beach area and we had a few people, guides, and review sites that suggested the Pearl. First off, the hostess was exceptional. It seemed a busy night, and you could tell that she was doing logistical gymnastics in her brain to find a spot for everyone, but her demeanor was calm, friendly, warm, and accommodating. Any restaurant would be proud to have her at the hostess station. Our dining area was out on the deck under a pergola that had an awning to shield customers from the sun all amonst vegetation and several koi ponds. As we were there in the evening, they rolled the awning back so we could enjoy eating under the sky. They also provided fish food for my 3 year old son to feed the fish while we wait. A truly beautiful and relaxing setting. Our waiter, Garrett, falls along the same lines. He was excellent at answering all of our questions, providing relevant suggestions, and having a firm grasp of the menu. Maybe he was upselling us or maybe his suggestions were genuine, but that's the beauty of his skill as a waiter, we couldn't tell because he seemed to be so sincere. There were a couple of times he could have come to our table a little sooner, but as I said before, it was a busy night so no qualms here. While my family and I were eating I witnessed water dripping off of an awning onto an area where customers walked and who solved the problem? Garrett! The man is amazing at going above and beyond to care for the customer and provide them with an experience you don't get a lot of places. Our food and drink was delicious as well! I had some sake and my wife had a fauxhito. We don't drink a lot but it's clear the bartender knows what they are doing. The fake mohito was great and the sake was good. My son got a bowl of mac that wasn't standard restaurant mac, it was penne pasta with a delicious cheddar cheese sauce. He loved it! My wife and I ordered four different sushi rolls and added a fifth when those were done. I'm not going to get into each and every roll because I want to be done writing so to summarize, sushi good! All in all, a fantastic experience that will leave you with a belly full of goodness and mind that is at ease. It is clear that The Cultured Pearl believes in the idea of creating a moment for each customer that comes through their doors. If we ever come back to Rehoboth, we will come again.

Veronica H.

Yelp
Have come back to frequent this focal point of Rehoboth and Sushi options. Ambience is so pleasing and rooftop outdoor dining is lovely on a cool evening. Service was quick and easily available if needed. Many options at bar and full menu to choose from if not a fair fan of sushi alone. Presentation of food eye catching with edible flowers and veggies. Only disappointing event was bathrooms were not maintained for emptying trash or clean over. Great place to wait if weather is not nice for indoor seating until table ready. Apparel for sale is fun and colorful. Enjoyed coming back again and again.

Michelle C.

Yelp
I have wanted to try Cultures Pearl for a number of years and finally made it. Friendly service. Amazing happy hour. A good selection of sushi rolls. I plan to visit again in the fall when it's pleasant enough to sit outside.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
If you are a sushi fan this place definitely should satisfy your tastes. The decor alone is nothing but a step above. Their menu offerings has a nice consistency of many Japanese dishes. They even offer cream of crab soup. This I highly recommend. It' was some of the best I have had in the eastern shore. What was ordered at are table I considered upper quality. Come with a little bit of of and open mind if your expecting basic cuisine This place is not cheap. But the food prep and flavor makes it worth it. The only issues I had with the place was the the noise level. Plus the waiter seemed that he just didn't want to be there that night with how he handled our table.

Yelp
Perfect spot for a date night to feel like you've gone on a little getaway. The outdoor upstairs seating has beautiful gazebos with white curtains, teak wood, and koi ponds. The indoor seating is also very nice and atmospheric and has cherry blossoms, koi, and a couple parakeets. We made reservations in advance on Resy. Cocktails 5/5: The cucumber cocktail was moderately sweet with lots of cucumber flavor. The salted caramel dessert cocktail was a perfect end the to meal. Smoked edamame 5/5: Lots of buttery and smoky flavor. We were also looking at the Thai edamame which was supposed to be spicy. Salmon toro sashimi 4/5: Could have been fattier. Sushi starter 4/5: I really enjoyed the mackerel nigiri. The cucumber maki was a bit of a throwaway piece. Dragon roll 5/5 Banana tempura 3/5 Overall I'll definitely be back, mainly for the atmosphere, service, and drinks.

Yelp
We had not been to the Cultured Pearl in years and it was even better than we remembered! One in our party has 6 food allergies and he had a ton of options and loved all the food he ordered (garlic noodles, chicken teriyaki, soup and edamame). Our waiter, Garrett, was the best!! And people at check in area were also very friendly. Can't wait to come back next year!

Yelp
We came last night for the Cultured Pearl's Monday night sushi night. We had a reservation bc I read on Yelp that you needed one for Monday night. We were seated at the large window overlooking over Rehoboth Ave - which was a seat I really enjoyed. Our waiter was super nice. The sushi deal consisted of 3 rolls from their preselected list, edamame, and miso soup. We selected 6 rolls to share from the list. Our soup arrived within minutes. It was room temperature. It prob would have been good if it had be the proper soup temp. The edamame came as we were eating the soup. It was nicely salted. I really hadn't eaten edamame since everyone on earth was on that edamame kick about 20 years ago and you could buy it everywhere. I'm not sure why everyone went thru that phase. lol. It's really basic. Anyway, it was good - it tasted like edamame tastes. Then a few minutes later our sushi came out. It was on 2 plates - which is a little weird since we were sharing. The sushi was good but not great. One of the rolls was actually a burrito - which I felt like should have been disclosed. It also wasn't very good. The spider roll had lettuce - like a spring mix - in it which was very weird. Anyway, the only roll I would order again from those 6 is the Alaskan roll. That was delish. As soon as we finished our sushi our bill came. We paid and left. We were in the restaurant for a total of 35 min. How strange is that? I mean we live together - so it wasn't like we were there to catch up. But if I was meeting up w a friend - I want my dinner to be more than 35 min. So strange. Maybe I'm spoiled since I have so many sushi options in Philly that the sushi has to be good. In Rehoboth there are only 2 sushi spots in town - so there isn't much incentive to be great. The best part of our meal was our great window seats.

Yelp
Best sushi in town with great service. Our server Patrick made some excellent recommendations and made us feel right at home. As locals that's huge for me and my wife. Next time I'm looking for a nice dinner in town Cultured Pearl will be at the top of my list.
