Wednesday got my shipped order as I’ve been craving since we came to Nashville Labor Day of last year! The wait is over! There was a little mix up on only ONE of the flavors sent & TCC fixed it straightaway… today at my door were SIX more of wat I ordered 🧁🧁!!!! This is why Ive been a big fan since 2009! Ive given up looking for a bakery in DFW like this because nothing compares to you 😊. Y’all gotta feel the sprinkle of joy yourself!

I ordered the praline cake for Thanksgiving and the mini wedding and red velvet cupcakes. I was very disappointed with the cake. The praline icing was crumbling, hard and did not stick to the cake. The cake was dry and unflavored. The mini cupcakes were okay but the cake gets a thumbs down 👎🏽

The ladies at The Cupcake Collection are extremely wonderful and so so talented! I worked with them over email (while I was in TX!) to order a beautiful and DELICIOUS cake. They were so helpful and accommodating and made sure to give me the best possible recommendations to get the cake I wanted. Everybody was blown away by the appearance and taste of this cake. I am so impressed by the bakers and will not hesitate to come back for any of my cake/cupcake needs. These ladies have a wonderful and welcoming nature to them and it is so obvious they put love into everything they make. Thank you, Cupcake Collection! You guys are superstars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Unforgettable Visit! My brother Mitch is impossible to embarrass… or so we thought. He strolled into the Cupcake Collection dressed as Donald Duck, complete with a beak, flippers, and all! The staff was so amazing, they didn’t just serve cupcakes—they served up laughter! They immediately embraced the ridiculousness and made Mitch pose, prance, and waddle around the store while holding balloons. He even had to sing "I’m a Little Teapot" in front of the other customers who were equally entertained. And the best part? They insisted on taking pictures with him! The cherry on top was Mitch dancing outside the store sign, getting honks and waves from passersby. It was the kind of public embarrassment we’d been dreaming of, and he could barely keep from turning as red as the balloons he was holding. But let's not forget the real reason we came—the cupcakes! The treats here are absolutely divine. The moist, flavorful cakes and the rich, creamy frosting are worth every ounce of embarrassment Mitch endured. BEST CUPCAKES EVER!! We visited this place on a food tour and it did not disappoint. The best cupcakes I have ever tasted. Our group went back and ordered more to take back to our Airbnb. Their sweet potato cupcake is to die for!!!!

I was in town for the holidays visiting my family and my cousin told me about this amazing Cupcake Place near by. When I tell you…she was not lying!!!! The cupcakes were so moist and tasted amazing. Even 2 days later the cupcakes were still just as moist as the first day(we bought a good amount) lol. The best is you had flavors that changed based off the month along with some originals. The next time I am in town I will definitely be coming back for more.

I was really excited to try this place (Nashville location) spent over $100 for 21 cupcakes, just to have tried two of them- dry! Not sure if they are overcooked, not sure if they are even fresh. And so now I have to bring them into the office tomorrow for a Bday celebration, somewhat embarrassed.

It's everything they said it was and then some! Melt in your mouth. We had the sweet potato, red velvet, chocolate and carmel. So 🔥

Look, now I love me a good cupcake, when I tell you these cupcakes are addicting and were like an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I had to come back for seconds. The boozy egg nog, The mint chocolate and Sweet Potato. Where my absolute favorite. I loved the decor, the set up with the lounging outside and the staff. This is how a cupcake should be done. "Molly's you in danger girl."..

Staff are attentive and friendly. The store is standard. I wish there was more room to sit and enjoy the cupcakes-- there isn't any seating inside, but there are a couple tables outside. Cupcakes were delicious! Moist, well-flavored, and not overly sweet. I only wish they sold minis of every flavor so I could try more :)

Let me preface this by saying I love sweets. With that said, these cupcakes are incredible! They have such a wide variety of flavors, they are a great size and come with plenty of frosting. The cake portion is not dry and the frosting is sooo yummy! They are definitely on the sweeter side, but then again, it is cake. Well balanced flavor and plenty of options to pick from, will definitely be back. It is a small location in germantown with street parking available, we went on the weekend and had no problem with parking but the area can get packed on certain days so you may need to walk (which isn't a problem as the area is safe and cute to walk around).

This lovely place ships across the U.S. so get your taste buds ready for great things! Came by with my friends on Friday and was so pleased that they offered gluten free options for our diet needs. I ordered a sweet potato cupcake and I wish I had a dozen more. The cream cheese frosting was perfection and biting into the cupcake was like heaven.

Delicious always! You better get the sweat potato cupcake while they have them because they are the first to run out!

I was in Nashville over the weekend for a charity event and I was excited to visit this cupcake shop. The Cupcake Collection has been on my radar for almost a year after learning about the owner's amazing story of determination and resilience. Google her! OMG! The cupcakes were amazing!!!! My absolute favorite was the sweet potato cupcake. I could've ordered a dozen but I decided to get a variety. The ladies at the counter were really nice and it was a great experience. The price and calories are worth the trip. I took a half dozen back to Indy to share with friends. One of the best cupcakes I've EVA had! When you're in Nashville, TRY them!

Carrot cake & sweet potato cupcakes are absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend for a special treat to yourself or special occasion. I consider it enjoying my best life! Only down fall are their hours , closed on Saturdays.

The most moist cupcakes I've ever had! You can tell they baked their cupcakes. I purchased a strawberry, sweet potato, wedding cake, and yellow cake with chocolate frosting, nothing but good things to say. Street parking is available and the place is small and cute. You can order ahead and they ship! I may have to order some to see if the taste is still the same after shipping. The young lady who helped was very friendly and helpful. A great dessert after an amazing dinner.

I was in Nashville for the first time on vacation and read great things about The Cupcake Collection in Essence magazine. Without a doubt I made plans to stop by to try their treats while supporting a local black business. The location is a small but cute bakery within what seems like a house. I arrived about 2 hours before closing and upon walking in, I was greeted kindly. Unfortunately they were out of most the flavors I had wanted to try so, I settled for a red velvet and a wedding cake flavored cupcakes. I decided to indulge in my cupcakes on the porch. Firstly, both of the cupcakes were moist and flavorful. I mean, they were GOOOODDD! Probably one of the best I've ever had. Of the two, I loved the wedding cake cupcake which surprised me because it has almond buttercream and I was apprehensive as to what that would taste like. It was superb! The sweetness on both flavors was balanced very well. I had to stop myself from eating both of them in one sitting lol. Nonetheless, it was really good and I wished I had more time to go back and purchase more. Luckily they offer online ordering, so guess who will be ordering very soon? *points to herself*. I highly recommend to others and I would surely return if I'm in Nashville again!

These cupcakes are the absolute best in town. The sweet potato is my personal favorite but you can't go wrong with any flavor. I found this place randomly walking around Germantown and became A forever follower even though I've left Nashville. I was back in town this weekend and had to grab a cupcake or two or three!! The owners are just lovely and the staff is always friendly. You can order for events and they even do customized cupcakes!

I tried two cupcakes, the cookie and creams was a little dry and just fell apart. The birthday cake was amazing, blew the cookie and creams out of the water, 100% going back for this one again. Shop is very simple and staff was pleasant. Street parking only.

The story of the cupcake is so awe inspiring it takes your breath away....... the cupcakes not so much. Just not a fan of the sweet potato cupcake. Location is fantastic and the little home is cute as a button. Maybe another flavor would have bowled me over??

I was traveling for a birthday and wanted to order a birthday cake. I came across the cupcake collection, and I'm so glad I found this place. I ordered a chocolate birthday cake and it was soooo good. It was moist, and the icing was amazing. I ordered a half dozen lemon strawberry Cupcakes while there, and they did not disappoint. If you're ever in Nashville and need a cake this is your bakery.

Some of the best cupcakes! Sweet potato is my favorite. Beware the Key Lime has coconut in the cake batter. I wasn't expecting that and I didn't like it. Lemonade is always a hit and the wedding cake is divine. A little tip: order online in the morning because they will sell out!

I ordered 6 cupcakes and inhaled two without thinking twice... the Sweet Potato cupcake was my favorite !! I now understand why it is a best seller ! All of the other flavors were delicious as well !! The service was fast and the ambiance is casual and family oriented ! I can't WAIT to go again !!

Some of the best cupcakes I've EVER had! We understand why they're famous. These cupcakes literally melt in your mouth. The strawberry cupcake was top-tier. It had a great flavor, and the strawberry pieces blended in so well. Probably the best strawberry and sweet potato cupcakes I've ever had. My fiancé said the Marble was very moist. This was our last stop before heading to the airport and these cupcakes traveled with us all the way to North Carolina. These cupcakes were so good I took super tiny bites, hoping they would last longer, lol. 10/10 highly recommend and I'll also attempt to have some delivered to me since the owner said that was possible! We wanted to support a Black-Owned business while we were in town, and this one definitely did not disappoint.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Not only are the cupcakes fantastic, but during Carnival season I can get my king cake! They also make a king cake cupcake during the season and it is a must try. I enjoying trying their specialty cupcakes throughout the year. Service is great, you can walk in and order, but i usually order online and pick up when I arrive.

The cutest little shop. It was so convenient and so good. I enjoyed the service and having the gluten-free options. The young lady working was polite and informative.

A forced tip I have been a customer for years. But more recently bad business has occurred. Seems like every time i go and make a purchase with cash they never seem to have change. This is a great inconvenience to me as a customer to not receive my change. I work very hard for my money but to feel robbed cause they don't have change not only dissatisfying but bad business practices. Better communication would help stating exact change or card only payment. I would been satisfied if a complementary cupcake was offered, but unfortunately that wasn't offered. Go forward I just hope better customers service and better business practices.

We saw Cupcake Collection on our walk to dinner and saw that it was "sold out" and wonder how can cupcakes be so good that it's sold out? So the next morning we were finish with breakfast at Monell's and pass by Cupcake and they were just opening. We came in and they were super friendly. She was busy making pre orders. We decided to get 4 flavors- sweet potato, sweet lemonade, marble and Germantown chocolate. We thought the sweet potato and the sweet lemonade were the best. Very good. We ate it after lunch at Hattie's. Great palate cleanser. The place is small, looks like a house. It's family owned and they work hard. Good stuff!

I ordered a custom cake weeks in advance for a birthday party, with the focal point being a large cluster of disco balls. Less than 24 hours before I was supposed to pick up the cake I get a call to tell me they accidentally ordered the wrong item so they would not be able to put the disco balls on the cake. They refunded me for the disco balls ($5), but had I known the cake wouldn't have disco balls I would have gotten a plain cake from a general store and had the name written on the cake because that's essentially what the cake was without them. It's beyond me why they would wait until the day before to acquire an essential part of an order. As a business you should account for things like wrong items being sent, shipping delays, lost in transit etc. Overall very poor planning, especially when it comes to something as special as a birthday cake. Now for the icing on the cake... When I got home and set out the cake, I realized they had misspelled the message written on the cake. Was it partly my fault because that I didn't notice when picking up the cake? Maybe. But the lack of attention to detail with the misspelled message on the cake paired with not getting the design I paid for due to lack of planning just left an overall bad taste in my mouth. I emailed the company and followed up with no response. The staff when I went to pick up the cake was very kind and welcoming however, so the mandatory star is for them.

Coming all the way from San Diego, CA; my wife and I compared these cupcakes to Sprinkles and BabyCakes. Hands down, The Cupcake Collection is just better across the board. They're more moist and the flavor profile is on point. Easily the best red velvet and carrot cupcakes we've had. No regrets in traveling this far to taste The Cupcake Collection.

This is a small shop in Nashville. I needed a vegan graduation cake quickly. Online ordering was pretty simple. Not a lot of choices for the vegan cake. The cake and the icing was vanilla. Pick up was easy. I didn't notice the name was spelled wrong until the person graduating pointed it out the next day. I guess I should have caught that before I left. Lol. You could tell it was vegan though because the texure and density was different, but the cake tasted really good and everyone like it.

I do not like cupcakes. HOWEVER, I have been eyeing the king cake cupcake for a couple of weeks now and finally decided to swing by today. It was phenomenal (close your eyes, moan softly type vibe). Almond flavor icing, cinnamon and vanilla cake, festive sprinkles--true homemade style. Absolutely incredible. I bought my friend a strawberry and a classic vanilla. She's eaten the strawberry and says "10/10." I'll be back to try it!

This was exactly what I needed when I wanted something New Orleans-y in Nashville, as those are the only two locations of this bakery. I found the small domicile in which their Nashville shop rests to be inundated with a mouthwatering aroma. What I like about their style of cupcakes is that they're small. The premium cupcake places often get to a point where it's hard to actually eat an entire cupcake at once because they're so huge and so tricked out. Here, there was enough space for a filling and a topping, but you could conceivably eat a cupcake without having to skip a meal, and the price for a half dozen wasn't crazy. They had a variety of Girl Scout Cookie flavors, as well as some regional things like King Cake and sweet potato. They also do some vegan and GF flavors. I'm not sure what else I could ask of them.

What a cute place, with an inspiring story behind it! We took a tour of Nashville that brought us here, and as a self proclaimed cupcake connoisseur I promise this is worth checking out. I tried a coconut cream & my partner had the red velvet-- couldn't tell you who picked best because they were both delicious. There were plenty of unique flavors to choose from, I can't wait to try this place again!

Another black owned business that we'd heard good things about in Nashville, we spotted it as we rode past on our way to Monell's (incredible). So after we had dinner we walked down to this bakery just before calling our Lyft. Our faces dropped when we saw that they were closed for the day. A young lady who watched our disappoint walked up to us from her car and asked were we looking to get some cupcakes and we excitedly responded yes but they appear closed?She said give me one moment let me see if they can still help you and when she came back and opened the door we knew this was the right place be! They were indeed closing for the evening but took the time to discuss their history, the flavors...just genuinely amazing! We ordered a dozen to include a few sweet potato (popular selection) and listen to me once we got back to our hotel room and got comfortable these cupcakes are everything you didn't know you needed and more! The sweet potato was amazingly moist and so fresh! The icing wasn't too sweet, ugh so good as well as the other flavors (all 5/5). I see why they are award winning cupcakes, quality ingredients and baked with love...you can taste it! Beautifully maintained bakery, super clean and very welcoming! If you're in the area (the have multiple locations) if not you can some shipped to you! Simply amazing!!

We struggled to find bakers who could provide vegan and gluten free options for desserts at our wedding. We are so glad we stumbled upon The Cupcake Collection! We ordered a variety of cupcakes from them and received multiple compliments from guests on how tasty they were. We also purchased a six-inch chocolate cake, which they iced in a beautiful rose pattern. If you're looking for baked goods for any kind of celebration, I would highly recommend The Cupcake Collection. Also: if you want a walk-in cupcake, they do have walk-in vegan and gluten free options, they just aren't in the main display case. Just ask for one!

second time having them, first time purchasing. bought them as a Mother's Day treat for my grandma who is going through cancer, and I know was missing being able to cook. I should have taken a before and after picture to show how she devoured the cupcake, nearly scrapped the wrapper clean needlesss to say they were a hit.

I ordered a carrot cake for our anniversary in April and it was FABULOUS! The online ordering was very easy, the woman who waited on me was DELIGHTFUL and even had a generous sample waiting for me when I picked the cake up. It's the little touches that make the difference!! I order a cake every year for our anniversary (this was #30) and this is the first time I've ever been given a sample to taste before cutting into the cake on our actual anniversary. THANK YOU! You've made a customer for life!

This little cupcake shop occupies an old home built in 1900 on what was a quiet residential street back then, now nestled amongst the burgeoning apartment construction flooding the eastern half of Germantown. And yet, the Cupcake Collection retains the charm of yesteryear with its cozy interior, beautiful front porch, and that lovely red door beckoning customers. This local, black-owned business is doing everything right, from the decor and cheerful employees to the deliciously unique flavors and freshly baked cupcakes. It's the only place in Nashville to snag a lemonade cupcake that I know of, with a frosting that really captures the essence of a tangy, lemony beverage on a hot day. The strawberry cupcake is a staple here, and it's so fresh it's like you're actually eating a batch of just-picked strawberries! It's absolutely brilliant the way this creation embodies it's namesake, and it's obviously made with real fruit. The red velvet cupcake is another highlight, rivaling the strawberry flavor for my undivided attention. The subtle cream cheese frosting and classic red velvet cake not as imposing as most is simply a marvelous combination. I don't love the key lime cupcake, but there is so much to love about this place! The flavors are fabulous, the product is fresh, and the people are wonderful.

An amazing black owned cupcake shop in the heart of Nashville. They are stapled to the community and delicious. I came here on a afternoon and they were basically sold out of many of their flavors. We ended up placing an order to return on Sunday so we could try them all. I quite love the seasonal flavor sweet potato. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. They even sell some pretty cool merchandise I was able to get a nice shirt. I highly recommend and I hope that you enjoy your cupcakes as much as I enjoyed mine.

This adorable little cupcake shop did not disappoint. We went in hoping for Key Lime cupcakes, but it was late in the day so we knew it might not be available, and it wasn't, but what a great selection of other flavors including a lemon cupcake - close enough! We also tried the cookies and cream, strawberry and carrot. Soft and moist cupcakes, that don't fall apart when eating and very flavorful icing. We will visit again for sure!

After having lunch in Germantown od Nashville, I went to @thecupcakecollection to grab cup cakes for dessert. I went with 4 different flavors, Cookies and cream (Flavor of the month), lemon berry, chocolate and their most popular Sweet Potatoe. The muffin part was so soft and moisture in the middle, to the point where it crumbled as I tried to break apart to eat. The frosting was rich, creamy and sweet. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! This place was horrible. I literally told them to do whatever decorations they wanted, just make sure it's all pink for a baby shower. They handed me brown and white iced cupcakes... Then when I said something about them not being pink, she only had neon pink sprinkles. HOW DO I HAVE MORE OF SPRINKLE SELECTION THAN THEM?!?! I had to go buy my own decorations to fix the color. The staff did not care they had made a mistake and didn't even apologize or do anything to make it right. Also the whole 15 minutes I was in there, they messed up another person's cake and it was not decorated like the picture she had sent in. They also didn't have the right cupcakes for a DoorDash order, so they just picked some and threw it in a bag for the delivery person. The staff do not care and we're not helpful in anyway!

I picked up this 4-pack from a Tazikis in Brentwood. Believe it or not, this was my first experience with the cupcake collection! Believe the hype these little pastry treats are delicious! Light, airy and not too sweet! My favorite of the four pack was the chocolate with the sweet potato being a close second. My wife is a hobby baker and a bit of cupcake snob, and she even she was impressed! I just need to explore their actual brick and mortar locations and witness the magic in action!

Excellent product and customer service. The cupcakes exceed my expectations. I ordered the vegan collection and I couldn't tell the difference. The cooling package and beautiful box was from a company that thought through how to make the customer feel special.

TLDR: cake was beautiful & delicious - was ready on time & worth every penny. Will forever come here for any future baking needs. Had this custom celebration cake made as a surprise. Used their website to place an order, but made a mistake in the message. They replied quickly to my "contact us" email & made the message right! Successfully fed over 50 people & many reported it being perfectly dense & moist. The little touches of glitter & the decorative frosting just made it all the more beautiful. Thank you so much for helping make this memory extra special.

Had a delicious cupcake here at this adorable bakery! I can be a bit of a dessert snob but this was one of the best cupcakes I have had in a while. I got the vegan sweet potato cupcake and I was shocked at how fluffy, moist, and flavorful it was. Did not taste vegan at all. My friend got a lemon cupcake that he also loved. Will definitely be returning soon!

These are my favorite cupcakes in the entire world. Whenever I'm celebrating something special, people always buy these for me. I love all the flavors, even the Gluten Free ones are amazing. Red Velvet is my absolute fave! I pass on my love of these cupcakes to everyone I meet. You haven't had a good cupcake until you've had these! I will never buy store bought cupcakes ever again. There is no comparison. If you don't like cupcakes, these can change your mind. I love the Cupcake Collection!

Ok so this cupcakes are really good! I mean soft but not falling apart and not over the top with their icing. A perfect balance of cupcake and icing. The flavors... so I have too many, but my favorites were Birthday, blackout, red velvet and chocolate. No pictures, I failed y'all. My mouth said they looked good coming in and to give it more. The prices are fair for the sizes of the cupcakes. Due to COVID-19 they have an outside set up to take orders or pick up them if you did them in advance. No cash for now they are just taking cards at the moment. I'm definitely coming back here to get more!

In addition to what might quite possibly be the best cake I've ever tasted, im very impressed with the Customer service here. I ordered a cake with a Beyoncé image for my partners 50th Bday and somewhere along the line the image got ruined and I was delivered a very disappointing cake. Mistakes happen, errors are made but what makes a great business is one that takes accountability for it's mistakes and strives to make things right. Dru was a blessing to work with. She was very understanding and very accommodating to my wishes and even made me a new cake so my partner could have the experience I wanted him to have. Thanks again Dru, I really appreciate it. Also, the cake i ordered is vegan and so delicious. Any vegans looking for a quality cake, you must try this. They have 4 vegan options ( please get more options for next time I order!)

The Cupcake Collection is located in Germantown in a cute little blue house. A look outside, you see a lot of Mardi Gras themed decorations. It's only appropriate given the owner's New Orleans origin. It's a black owned business - I Love it!! They offer variety of cupcake flavors which include: Sweet potatoes (most famous), Red velvet, regular vanilla, wedding cake vanilla, chocolate marble, regular chocolate, birthday cake, strawberry, carrot cake, lemon, and more. I got 4 cupcakes - sweet potatoes, red velvet, vanilla wedding, and carrot flavors. Let me tell you something: The sweet potato cupcake IS where it's AT. The Carrot cake cupcake was the bomb. Probably my top 2 faves. When you take a bite, you can taste fresh ingredients. Oh my! I wanna know whose grandma or auntie is back there in the kitchen baking!? Because my ancestors definitely approve. I would come back just for the sweet potatoes and carrot cake cupcakes....Just take my money. Take it all. Would definitely recommend!
