We came here this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and wow we were blown away with the views! The hotel was beautiful inside and out and the food was amazing. Our bed was so comfortable! The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. This is a hidden gem in Tampa! We will be back very soon!! Highly recommend especially if you’re local like we are! Great getaway!

The service at the front desk, the restaurant, the bar, and even the valet was amazing. Very professional. The hotel and rooms are spotless. Starting with check-in, Celest and Sasha were quick to get us to our room and they were very informative. The food and drinks are the best at this hotel. Reasonably priced. Winnie from Casa Cami was great, Beatrix and Rafael at the bar were so nice and very fast. I really love this place and the employees and we will definitely stay here again.

Pacita and Patrick at the front desk were absolutely amazing. The check-in process was so easy and they were so friendly and gave us a spectacular room with an awesome view. There was also a manager named Ami near the front desk when we checked in and she was so kind and helpful. Super sweet staff!! ||The cleanliness of our room was impressive! I never walk in hotel rooms without my shoes on or slippers and I could walk barefoot on these floors and felt comfortable doing so. They were immaculate. We asked for the housekeepers names… Nei and Dayari. Great job! || Everything was beautiful. The pool area was so clean and towels stayed stocked the whole time we were there.. Also, the young lady at the buddy brew counter was so friendly and made our coffee perfectly!||We ate brunch at Casa Cami on site And the food and service there was exceptional. Our server Kevin was so nice kept refilling our water cups not because we needed more water but because our ice had melted and he wanted us to have fresh cold water. He was so sweet!! |Overall, one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had! I will definitely be coming back!

The staff at this hotel are absolutely exceptional!! Johnathan from the maintenance team helped us when we ran into issues on our stay. Raphael from the bar made the best drinks we had on vacation and Noel from valet had the car ready for us in seconds. The food was delicious and the servers created a unique and personalized fine dining experience. Danise from the restaurant catered to our every needed and overall we had a wonderful experience.

My husband and I were in town overnight for a concert and were looking for a place to stay that was clean, comfortable, and affordable. The Current checked all of these boxes for us, and the design details exceeded our expectations! As someone who works in the residential design industry, I appreciate commercial design more than most. From the artistic wooden ceiling in the lobby common areas to the infinity pool overlooking Tampa Bay, we found visually stimulating artistic touches around every corner! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. Some of the unexpected design elements that we appreciated were as follows: - The unique asymmetry that the designers used to place the artwork both in the room and in the common areas was a breath of fresh air. - The contemporary furniture in the common areas was exquisite; the winding couch alternates between backed and backless, which was neat! - The lamps on nightstands in the room were two different styles, which was a nice touch. - The lobby bar had an incredible lighting arrangement of varied height lighting. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with a modern edge, I highly recommend The Current in Tampa, Florida!

Google
We had the best time ever. The Current is a unique hotel with such amazing art decor, great views and relaxing atmosphere. Ashley planned our business get together, she showed us all the facilities and told us about the history of the Casa Cami restaurant and the amazing food and drinks. We will definitely coming back! Thank you Ashley !!!!

My husband and I recently spent five nights at the Current Hotel Autograph Collection in Tampa, Florida. Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed with the beauty of the hotel. Patrick, the front desk Manager, welcomed us warmly and made us feel at ease and was able to procure a room with a view for us. Ami, Director of Operations, made sure our stay was unforgettable. Pacita was happy to do a group photo of us. Ashley and Allison, from Sales, also welcomed us and greeted us on several occasions during our stay and were always polite, courteous and helpful. Our servers while dining at Julian’s on several occasions, included Patrick, Tatiana, Sandra and Stephen. They were all professional, courteous and well trained in serving the delicious dishes prepared by restaurant Supervisor John. Restaurant Manager, Beatrix, welcomed us and seated us one morning and was truly delightful. Lastly, Alec Petitpas, a member of the kitchen staff, was the creator of the most beautiful charcuterie board that was delivered to our room. Every staff member that we encountered was extremely helpful and courteous. Our room was immaculate and we look forward to a return visit.

Google
What a beautiful property with a business vibe where the Staff is on point with everything they do. The Bar area was great, the common area in and around Lobby was spacious with a piano playing in the background. The infinity pool area was beautiful with a view overlooking the bay. Highly recommend

Yelp
I have stayed here now maybe 15 times, and this has become my favorite and go-to hotel in the Tampa area. The views are exceptional, the rooms are modern and clean, the beds are comfortable, the front desk staff is fabulous, the gym is very well equipped. The breakfast there remains one of the very best hotel breakfasts I've EVER had in years of travel. The food and service are exceptional. That cheap shower curtain thing I described back in 2020 must have been a temporary thing, because it seems all the bathrooms have glass shower doors now. The pool is fabulous, too. It's a smaller but very attractive infinity edge pool and I've always been able to find a chair. You can go inside to order and they will deliver food and drinks to you poolside. One negative of staying there that I've discovered is that the street in and out of the hotel has no sidewalks -- not so great for my morning walk routine. And that driveway up in the property often becomes a clogged mess of traffic. But neither one of those are deal breaker kinds of issues.

Haley G.

Yelp
The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved receiving a glass of champagne upon check-in. We found the hotel to have everything we needed during our stay, including delicious room service offerings. The overall ambiance of this hotel is classy, sophisticated, yet comfortable. I will definitely stay here again while in the Tampa Bay Area.

Yelp
One-night stay, business trip: The Current's stunning bay view stole the show, a perfect backdrop for a productive day. My room was clean and comfortable, everything I needed for a quick visit. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, check-in/out was a breeze. If you're in Tampa either for business or personal you won't be disappointed. I've heard great things about the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, it was closed.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Well this is what an "upgraded" room gets you at the Current. BEWARE!!! It's overlooking the HVAC. Literally you can't see over them. And we called to change to a "lesser" room and they are fully booked. Paying over $1200 for a few days. My daughter and I are traveling alone (she's under 12), so I asked that we be on the same floor as our friends, nope, can't do that either. No flexibility. Too much to pay for a bad view. Wish I would have stayed at the Godfrey, our friends are staying there and said they are super accommodating. Bummer, twice the price. Oh and I went online and there are rooms available to book. So they are just refusing to move us. Frustrating to say the least.

Stephen F.

Yelp
I really liked this hotel. Modern, upscale, trendy atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as I stayed there for almost two weeks.

K R.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay at the current. Valet, front desk and housekeeping staff was top notch. Bar service was okay. She didn't want me to stick around and order additional drinks. We enjoyed the little beach area which was a nice touch. Our room was fantastic. Great view, comfortable and sufficient space. Coffee station was well stocked. Ample space for storage. Bathroom amenities were fantastic too. I don't have to swoon over Marriott bedding right? Very comfortable. Very clean and modern furnishings. Great gym with an even better view.

Marko R.

Yelp
Not a bad place. Actually reviewing the rooftop bar area. It's small but it has a view at sunset over the water. People were very friendly. Good drinks.

Brittany C.

Yelp
I had the Julian's breakfast with multigrain toast - it was delicious! Highly recommend their breakfast menu.

Yelp
Really great hotel! Location is close to the airport with a restaurant inside, and another walkable one right around the corner. Lamont at the front desk is awesome. 5 star. Ginger at the front desk... opposite of awesome personality and kindness wise. 2 star. Super modern and clean, make sure you don't get an adjoining door room is all, apparently those are the ones that you can hear through the guy said. Only mentioned because people are reviewing the noise levels... I'd recommend the corner rooms for sure! Amazing view. GET the yogurt parfait on the morning! You actually get two items each morning with platinum or higher Marriot status for free. Valet is the only perking option FYI! No real direct beach access also. Be sure to check out Rusty Pelican next door, and Whiskey Joes around the corner!! Downside is bars/restaurant including the rooftop one which is epic, close at 10pm !! That's no bueno. Will stays here again if I'm back in Tampa on business since it's extremely convenient to the airport.

Yelp
This hotel is AMAZING! It is pricey, but so worth it! You walk in to a welcoming staff, happy hour at the gorgeous bar, and a baby grand piano. I tried the sirloin sliders (yum!), the crab dip, and the pretzel. All were fantastic! The rooms were nice and comfy with industrial black out curtains. The gym was super clean. My only complaint is a bit funny.... We noticed an unclean spot (body print) on the window. It was kind of gross, but understandable why a maid could miss it. Guess the people before us REALLY had fun.

Serena M.

Yelp
Don't plan to sleep if they have an event scheduled. Overall, a nice hotel but don't plan to use it to sleep on a weekend, especially if they have an event. We were 'upgraded' to the 9th floor. The welcome was lovely and the staff nice upon arrival. However, on Saturday it all took a turn for the worse. They had an event with a DJ on the roof-top-bar. It reverberated through the ceiling into our room... as in, the entire room experiencing the base. When I called at 10:30 asking about the noise, I was met with a rude manager who had 0 sympathy, for being an 8 month pregnant woman with her crabby toddler, both of whom wanted to go to sleep much earlier. When I asked why we weren't alerted--as we would have declined the high floor 'upgrade' the manager was snarky, telling us he 'didn't know' and 'doesn't go up there' and the decision would be the bar manager's decision. It left an awful taste for us and we'd not likely stay here again due to their blatant disregard for guests comfort. Other minor inconveniences-- no parking, except valet. The room had a musty smell and upon inspection seemed the filter had not been cleaned in a long time. the esthetics were nice. Location great. Food delicious. Room ok-- until the described issues above

Vance L.

Yelp
Attendants were attentive and casa mami was outstanding as well as the service. The view on the rooftop and the amenities was top notch

Krissia G.

Yelp
First and foremost our view was breathtaking!!! Thank you for accommodating us and giving us a wonderful view. I booked a standard room, with bay view and king bed of course for my husbands birthday. I mean would you ask for a better view to wake up to and fall asleep at. We had a great time here! The service was phenomenal although we paid for valet parking even if we parked our own vehicle it's ok. Only $25 bucks wish it was included or waived. I was able to see the sunset and sunrise here I couldn't have asked for anything better over the weekend! Thank you again.

Kelly P.

Yelp
Charlie Charlie Charlie!! There is something about Charlie that keeps me coming back to The Current! Charlie is the Front Desk agent that provides, hands down, the ultimate customer service. When I walk in I great him with "I'm back Charlie! My last Visit Charlie played the piano for us. The property is also amazing. It's clean and well appointed. The rooms look over the Bay and the rooftop bar is spectacular! Your next time in Tampa make sure you stay at The Current!

Alyse M.

Yelp
Pros about 10 minutes from the airport really beautiful view of the Tampa Bay. Rooms are modern and have a very nice shower/bath! Cons- you can literally hear every single thing from every room either side of you. As I'm writing this, the person next to me is currently coughing non stop and it's keeping me awake. I would book elsewhere.

danelle b.

Yelp
My friend had to work in Tampa so we decided to make a vacation of it on the weekend. This hotel made me fall in love with the Autograph brand! Beautiful high ceilings, beautiful artwork, nice staff. Bar downstairs and rooftop bar has amazing views!

G B.

Yelp
This is the perfect hotel if you don't want a clean room or if you like rudeness. The hotel has been undergoing construction for the last several years, with no end in sight. You will awake to the sound of banging, see workmen hanging outside your windows, and the water is often cut off overnight. The hotel does not provide a discount for these interruptions. Instead, their housekeeping staff rarely make up the rooms, even in advance of your first arrival (pro tip: check the trash baskets first--they are often overflowing with the previous guests' trash). If you complain, you will then have an opportunity to be insulted by the surly staff. Overall, I cannot give this property a good review. But if you think you have it too easy and could use a bad time, this would be ideal for you.

Steve L.

Yelp
My wife and I have recently been visiting the Rox rooftop bar and absolutely have fallen in love with it. The view is stunning but also the friendly and welcoming staff is what keeps us coming back. The employees that have helped us are all great including Steven, whom is so sweet, but Jasmin is amazing...super fun, very attentive and just makes us feel so welcomed. If you have the chance to visit, definitely ask for Jasmine although none will disappoint. Excited to go back with my girlfriends this week!

Cherise J.

Yelp
So here's the deal. This is more like a party hotel. It's a place where you come get a few drinks, then go to a room and do your thing. Definitely NOT a family friendly hotel. Walls are thin so you can hear the "whoopi" around you. My son kept asking about the screaming (really moaning). It was crazy. We saw families with kids but trust me, this isn't the hotel for kids. Maybe 16 and older....MAYBE. Suites are not real suites. We initially had what we thought was a suite, but it was just a regular room. In fact the room we ended up with was bigger than a suite. They're really misleading people about their suites which I sum up as a design flaw. Nonetheless, it should be reflected in the price. Our room also didn't have a microwave. It did have a refrigerator though. The ambiance of the hotel is very nice and the staff is super pleasant. Housekeeping could do a much better job with cleaning. Lots of hairs and stains on wash cloths and bedding. Housekeeping manager should have someone dedicated to inspecting all of the laundry. Shower wasn't thoroughly cleaned and it was some weird stuff on the walls. They need to clean the walls and the glass door on the shower. You should not see any smears. They're spot cleaning in this hotel and considering that it's close to a booty spot, everything needs to be completely sanitized! I didn't like the valet only system. The valet was nice to let me park my own car but the elevator wasn't working so we ended up walking to the hotel which was horrible!! Lots of steps and ramps. Definitely not ideal when you're super tired. Had to switch rooms because of the suite issue as well as non working lights. The door hinge was also off. The positive is that the view of Tampa Bay is gorgeous. The pool is nice. They also have a beautiful rooftop with a bar and a baby grand piano. Hotel has a lot of potential, but they need to fix a lot things both physically and logistically to rise to a 5 star.

Ryan C.

Yelp
Really disappointing visit here. Lifetime Platinum Elite and current Titanium level so I've stayed in my fair share of hotels over the years. This trip was a 3 night getaway with the family. Upon check-in we were given a sheet explaining their severely reduced F&B offerings "due to COVID". I found this comical because just to the side of the desk was a big poster promoting their NYE bash on the rooftop coming up at the end of the month. So COVID only impacts day to day travelers? Calls to the front desk often went unanswered for extended periods of time because of their limited staffing. At one point in the stay I sent them some feedback thru the chat feature of the app and was told, "we told you about this when you checked in." Hardly the type of response I expected. Fair warning - There is NO food available between 11am and 5pm except on Saturday. Your only walkable food option is the Rusty Pelican next door. Be prepared to order thru Postmates, Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. they do not offer room service either. Definitely won't be returning here and will be happy to share this experience with fellow travelers. Hopefully the management reads this and understands that there is work to be done here.

Julia O.

Yelp
This is a 4 star Autograph hotel? I checked in very late on a Saturday night. I put the do not disturb sign on my door and the privacy lock. At 9:16 am there was tapping on the door and then someone tried to enter my room. I was sound asleep! Why on earth is housekeeping trying to get in my room at 9:16 on a Sunday morning? There are no restaurants or anything else to go to near here. I called Julian restaurant to ask the lunch hours for today. The woman said I think it's around 12:00. She "thinks" it's around 12:00? When I asked for the specific time she had to put me on hold where I got to listen to the banging noise of the kitchen. It's a very simple question! I understand there is a dearth of people who want to work but this not good. The company I work for makes me stay here but you don't have to.

Lee L.

Yelp
Jackson served us.... he is awesome. Great service, friendly and fun! The location is beautiful. We are sitting downstairs waiting for the upstairs bar to open, but glad we stopped at this bar... Jackson's service was GREAT! Thank you

Skye A.

Yelp
The stay at the Current hotel was absolutely amazing, and most of that I can attribute to Kadijah's amazing dedication to hospitality. We cannot thank her enough for her desire to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you to the Current hotel staff, and to Marriott. We don't want to stay anywhere else after staying at such a beautiful hotel and a staff like this.

Anthony G.

Yelp
Excellence, Exquisite and Elegance are what I believe describe my experience here. We came here to celebrate my birthday! I wasn't sure what the experience would be like but I'm sure glad We came here. In case this is your first time coming- be aware that there is only valet parking ($22pd). There's no escaping that!! Our check-in was fast, and very pleasant. Christian Slater checked us in. He was very hospitable! He asked me what was the nature of our visit and once I told him we were there for my birthday, he blessed us with a small wine bottle that is offered at their mini-store. I'm not sure if that's policy for birthdays or because we are members, but I'm not complaining. We were checked in to the extended room with the bay-view. The elevators and hallways were very well maintained, & very clean! Our room had a gorgeous view as you can tell with my pics. The room is very spacious, and beds are very comfy. The bathroom is so cool with 2 shower heads. We did hit the gym, which was also impressive. Clean, Not very big but enough to do a good workout. In addition, we did hit the pool. It had a Infinity pool vibe! It wasn't very big, but the view from the pool is very breathtaking. One major con- which I suspect is out of their control- but there was no hot water from the time we came back from Busch Gardens at 8:30pm- 12am. And I have no idea what was going on in the front desk, but from 10pm-10:45, no one was picking up the phone when we called. Yet once we got someone to pick up- they simply apologized for the hot water not working and promised us it was being worked on which it worked the next morning. But it was certainly an inconvenience to take a cold bath but we managed. We did take advantage of going to their rooftop bar, The Rox. The view from up there is off the chain! They had a party going on there so the place was lit. I'm not sure if that's the vibe everyday but when we went- we loved it. Good drinks! I highly recommend this hotel! It's very modern, clean & the staff is very courteous, attentive and kind! The restaurant downstairs is legit- we did breakfast. Loved it!

Lori W.

Yelp
Update: We ended up having a great stay after we were greeted poorly from the front desk. The Rooftop bar had amazing customer service. Brooke and Jason were friendly and smiled the whole time. We also had breakfast at Julian's restaurant. Not only was it delicious but our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We now plan on going back and will try to check in on the app and bypass the front. The hotel is beautiful, modern yet very comfortable. Every room has a bay view. It is brilliantly designed. Looking forward to our next stay!

Andrew A.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing, beautiful, with very helpful staff. The artwork is absolutely stunning in the lobby and on each floor. I appreciated how much the front desk staff helped out. The manager is absolutely skilled at handling strange circumstances too. The water views and access are tranquil and feels like far away on vacation. Feel safe staying there and great for tourists or locals. Director of rooms Don Shelly is so helpful. BEST EMPLOYEES SO HELPFUL: Charlie Gray, Lindsey Evangelist, and Ruchama.

Katina C.

Yelp
My hubby surprised me with this gem for a weekend trip away. Upon arrival one of the parking attendants approached our car and immediately gave a valet ticket and took his cell phone number, valet only. There is no self parking. We were greeted immediately at the front counter to check in, very easy and was in our room less than 10mins. We stayed in one of there King Suites. Spacious and clean, it had a sitting area, mini fridge, small keurig cafe with a TV. A 2nd TV that face the king sized bed. A beautiful view of the Bay sunrise/sunset.We loved the bathroom. The only complaint we have is how bland the food was at the only restaurant that serves full meals-Julian. We ordered the chicken lollipop and the tuna appetizers. The chicken had no flavor to it and the egg surrounded by cold tuna, sorry but didn't understand the meal. Overall it still was okay just wasn't great for us. The best time was at Rox the rooftop bar. I did a separate review of them! We definitely want to return!

Michael C.

Yelp
While I don't disagree that this property is nice, it is probably a victim of the difficulty in hiring and/or managing staff. This is not a positive review; we've stayed at a number of Autograph hotels (even just this week over in Dunedin) and this was a pretty awful experience. We arrived at 3:00 PM for a 4:00 guaranteed check-in. Room not ready, so we were informed that they would call us. At 5:30 still no call, so we checked again and voila, our room was ready. Then, try and get a carry out order at Julian/the Bar. ordered in person at 8:30; after numerous check-ins, 9:45 for a salad to go! Heading back up to the room with our now very warm and wilted $20 salad, we encounter yellow lights on the electronic lock. Head back to the lobby, new key issued, and back to the room for a second try. Nope, still not working. Back down to the front desk and now a 3rd key issued. Third times not always a charm. Back to the lobby and now an Engineer would be dispatched. 10:30 the engineer shows up and lets us know that the battery in the unit sometimes goes out. Lucky us, we're the winner. No apologies, no considerations. Not that we expect much from the overworked and understaffed personnel. They are trying, but the management needs to either fix the problem or reduce the rates ($300 night for such poor service). I should also mention that the room had some garbage on the floor by the trash can that hadn't been picked up. All in all, I recommend skipping this property and finding a different property, with plenty of options with great bay views and hopefully better staffing and management.

Shuné D.

Yelp
I'm sure that staying here for the night would be nice (if you're visiting from out of town), but this review is based on my visit to the rooftop bar called the Rox bar and the Julian restaurant on the lobby level as a local visitor. One thing to note is that there is absolutely no self parking. There's valet parking only, for $5, if you're visiting the bar and the restaurant. First observations: The style is very clean and modern on the inside with a mild fragrance throughout and relaxing music in the background. The staff appears to be very friendly at the lobby and the bars. This is definitely a place that you should dress nicely for on your visit here to match the vibe (If you're a non-guest visitor). The ROX bar on the rooftop level was very accommodating for our group. They have a full bar with very limited food options. On a good weather day, review is very beautiful (180° waterfront view). There's decent amount of seating inside and outside. Like I mentioned, the food choices at the rooftop bar very limited and we were hungry. We headed downstairs on the lobby level to eat food from the Julian restaurant. There were no more seating at the restaurant side, but we got to eat at the bar nearby (where they also offer menus and serve food). I had the duck wings which didn't have as much meat as expected, but the taste was excellent! Others around me had no complaints about their food either. It was overall a good experience and I would definitely consider visiting here again.

Carl F.

Yelp
*Ambiance- great! *Food and beverage quality- very strong *Service- servers, bartenders, etc all were working diligently to accommodate their guests. *The decor and cleanliness of the hotel is top notch and what you'd expect from an Autograph Collection property.

Yelp
Conference center review Expensive but our 2 day conference was seen less from the attendees view. The location is absolutely beautiful- overlooking the bay while learning, discussing, and brainstorming life. The pool is amazing, infinity edge pool, rooftop bar, cafe, even a small posh store with items from the Oxford Exchange. Food, lunch was supplied- wow! Bread- olive focaccia , rolls, roasted Brussels sprout and feta, pasta options, flank steak, snapper. I would say this was 100% the best conference food I have ever had! Then dessert ... day 1 pound cake with strawberries, 2 flavors or whip cream, Carmel OR chocolate sauce; day 2 lemon cake with a light lemon curd and whipped cream, tiramisu and cannoli. Well fed while our brains were working. My coworkers and I were able to check out a room too, very stylish.

Amy C.

Yelp
We stayed here because we were getting married the next day at The Rusty Pelican. Let's just say.. it was not what we imagined. The lobby looks nice, same with the restaurant. We checked in and the view from the room is spectacular! The room on the other hand.. let's dive in.... The shower leaked through the glass doors on to the floor(this place will have a massive future mold issue). The a/c we started at 72 because we keep our own house at 72(we are from Florida) and I woke up sweating. So we decided to crank it down to 68 degrees.. still woke up sweating. Multiple lights did not work in the room. The fridge froze everything in it.. I guess that works.. in some way lol The walls are massively thin... the morning of our wedding I was woken up by an alarm at 5am that I thought was mine but It turned out to be the next room over that kept hitting the snooze button... then when the person finally woke up I heard them say "hello world" let's say.. I didn't get a lot of sleep on my wedding day...stressful enough The room wasn't fully clean, the back of the sink and the headboard were dirty. The food was mediocre. My fiancé and I decided to grab a drink on our wedding day.. not only was the Bloody Mary terrible the taps had a bunch of flies around... never a good sign. The amount of money you spend to stay here, it's not worth it. Like I said the view is amazing but everything else is just not worth it.

Krista M.

Yelp
This hotel is my go to place! I always fully enjoy my stay here! This time I ran into two significant issues. The door to the bathroom ran off the hinges...‍ That became a story in itself...and the wait for breakfast was unbelievable! It's a bit disheartening to the guests of the hotel, when they come down for breakfast and are told to go somewhere else because they cannot be accommodated due to other patrons who come for breakfast. Granted, it was a busier day than what is usual, but is there no plan of action for busier days? I recommend that this establishment provide a preference for dining to persons who are actual hotel guests, and have a section of the dining hall (either side) to be reserved for them. Have hotel guests indicate and confirm whether they will be at breakfast, let them pick a time to arrive so that they are catered to accordingly to avoid an avoidable wait time. The lack of such an experience takes away from the caliber of hotel The Current is! Besides being stuck in the bathroom after the door came off the roller, and having breakfast at 12pm, after being ready to eat at 10am, I had a relaxing time in my room and completely enjoyed my view! Still worth it! *Accessible*

Yelp
Flawless! I love the interior design. Greeted with kindness at all times and just had a genuinely awesome stay.

Yelp
The staff is what makes any establishment and evidently the leadership at this hotel knows how to educate their staff on providing excellent customer service. From the housekeeping staff we communicated with and the clean rooms to the hotel restaurant staff and the check in young lady who was outstanding, these employees know how to treat a customer. Denise our server for breakfast was simply amazing. It didn't matter how busy it got she kept everyone informed of what was going on with a pleasant attitude. Great job Denise !! For Okan Karadag, the General Manager... great job on training your staff. We will be back.

Yelp
Decent hotel, clean room, good views, but didn't find it was worth the price. Had an issue with my shower (handle kept getting stuck in the ON position). The restaurant downstairs had AMAZING food, and the bars inside the restaurant were fun (staff was great, wide variety of liquor and mixed drinks). Only downside to both bars are staff is limited (you may wait awhile on drinks), and they close relatively early. The pool area is lacking- it is a small area and pool, few chairs, and no food or drink available (you have to go inside to get either one). Although close to the airport, off the beaten path in Tampa, and it will take you 30 min-1 hour to get to St Pete, Clearwater, or downtown Tampa. Ubers seem to be scarce in the area and took about 20-30 min to arrive each time I ordered one. Not sure it is worth staying here, unless you are here for a wedding and it is close to your venue.

Yelp
Three stars because the staff is lovely and tries very hard, the lobby is pretty, and the room was tidy and clean. The lobby looks like a hotel that should charge $400 a night, but the rest of the experience and quality should be in the $250-300 range. Starting with the food, the quality doesn't justify the cost point - the lobster ceviche for example is over cooked refrigerated pieces of lobster on top of diced pineapples. That isn't ceviche or close to it. Soba noodles were mushy, flavorless, and the lollipop chops were tasty enough but low quality meat and minimal meat. An up charge at hotel restaurants is always expected, but the quality of food here isn't what you'd expect and certainly not at $20-ish dollars a plate. I ordered it as room service, which they brought promptly which I appreciated but it arrived in take out / to-go bags with plastic utensils and just doesn't have that hotel experience vibe, and the trash cans in the rooms aren't big enough to throw the takeout containers out... overall felt like what you'd get if you ordered Uber eats from a lower end takeout. The restaurant also closes at 2pm sharp for lunch, fyi, so I can't speak to whether it's better during the day. The room itself was pretty to look at. I was bummed because where the majority of reviews talk about water views, I was overlooking cement roof, a sliver of water extended beyond that but view was 99% roof. The bathroom is fine, nothing special but clean and nice looking. No bath robes, and the bath towels are pretty thin just fyi. The rooms don't have minibars, so if you want a snack at night or finish the two complementary water bottles that are in your room, you have to go all the way downstairs to the market in the lobby to buy, which is great when, you know, you wake up at 11pm at night because you can hear people walking above you and talking in the room next to you, and want some water and debate being thirsty, going downstairs in your pajamas, or getting fully dressed to go buy water. That said, the popcorn they sell in the market is delicious and I'd highly recommend. The pool is nice, small but well maintained and intimate. But take away is this place is so-so. It feels expensive for what it is, and that it's priced at $400 because it looks nice and photographs well, when the actual quality doesn't meet that. I wouldn't book here again.

Yelp
Americas Best Value Inn Alachua, FL: I arrived with my reservation for a room with 2 beds. I checked in and went to the room, past all the meth and crack heads in the parking lot. I opened the room door and there was only 1 bed. Since my companion is straight, this room would not work. We immediately went back to the office, where we were told they had no other rooms available. Then they refused to give me a refund. Don't go there.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel and it is right on the bay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Not a lot to do around this area if you're on foot it's probably not the best hotel for you. I will say we had trouble the first night with her air conditioning and a very nice gentleman named Juan fixed it all up for us and gave us a complimentary breakfast. The highlight of this place seems to be a very hard worker named Sabina, she has checked on us and made sure that everything was OK and she's always here. She's been very pleasant To everyone even though they've been super busy with weddings and such. The staff at this place is definitely the highlight of the place there's always plenty of towels at the pool the place is very clean the front desk staff was very nice. If you're looking just to get away and be pampered this is a perfect place for you.

Yelp
A disappointing stay and I'll avoid staying here again. First the good - it's a new and swanky place with great views of the bay and a nice outdoor pool. We stayed during the COVID19 days and most of the staff didn't wear masks nor seemed concerned about spreading or getting COVID19. Now the bad - they only allow valet parking - I'd rather drive and park my own ride, than have someone else do it, but no choice here. $22 a day for parking. While the rooftop bar was open with no social distancing, there was no coffee to be had anywhere in the AM. I guess the bar brings in more $ than the coffee place in the lobby. My mornings consisted of waking up the front desk clerk, who went and found and woke up the valet parking attendant, who eventually brought my car around. I then drove about 4 miles to get some 7-11 coffee and brought it back to my room. Felt like I was in a 3rd world country, not that there's anything wrong with that. Even though they were supposed to be making an extra effort with cleanliness and all during COVID 19, the hallway floors were filthy during my stay. Not even close to anyone trying to vacuum them. Filthy. My room floor was not any better. Small debris and long hair from a previous guest all over the floor. I wasn't sure to expect housekeeping or not during our stay, but no worries, they never showed up. While the pool area was nice, they ran out of towels twice for long periods of time, although it wasn't overly crowded. Nice building and location, but dirty and lack of service.

Yelp
What an absolutely gorgeous hotel! The newly opened hotel is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Although it's only 10 stories high, it sits on a beautiful location, surrounded by water views of Tampa Bay. As you can see by the pictures, the design of the hotel is very modern and bright. Every space seems to be utilized in a good way, not too busy but not too stark. From the moment you pull up to the entrance, the service begins! Although the valet parking service is mandatory, it was very well run. I was told by the head of the valet service, it's because of the limited parking availability and also so the hotel can keep better control of the garage. Minor inconvenience, but be aware if you're visiting the bar or the restaurant and you're not staying at the hotel, it is a five dollar charge. Minimal considering the type of hotel. On this occasion I was meeting several people at the rooftop bar on the 10th floor. I checked out the rest of the hotel prior to going upstairs. There's a bar on the first floor lobby area, and also a restaurant. Beyond the bar and the restaurant is the infinity pool and beach area that faces a gorgeous water view! Onto the upstairs... As you enter the huge elevator, you notice the modern design there as well. Short trip to the 10th floor and you reach a beautiful oasis of amazing water views! There is a large bar area that is enclosed from the elements, but not obstructive of any views. If you go to the outside patio, there's plenty of seating that's comfortable, and you'll see by the pictures, again, the views go on for days! We had cocktails and a few appetizers. The cocktails were well-made and the appetizers we had were delicious. I'm looking forward to going back for a nice dinner and perhaps an overnight stay!

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful. Went to Tampa to celebrate a birthday. The staff was friendly, valet was very nice and helpful when we needed restaurant suggestions. The view from our room was breathtaking. Very nice, classy, hotel with a nice rooftop area and pool. There was a wedding taking place on the weekend that we went therefore at that time certain parts of the hotel were closed but we didn't mind, we watched the wedding from our window.

Yelp
The current autograph hotel is a very accommodating and nice boutique hotel by Marriott Bonvoy. My husband and I did a mini weekend getaway "kid less" It was very clean and took all the appropriate measures to ensure everyone is safe. We will definitely stay here again. The food was very yummy and gourmet style. By far the best boutique hotel We've stayed at so far.

Yelp
Great hotel! Awesome views, plus the staff was super polite and helpful. The restaurant is delicious and the rooftop bar is pretty cool spot to get a cocktail or two. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Awful, awful, awful, awful. The property is beautiful, but don't waste your money. The valet guys were very sweet, and had excellent customer service. They were personable and had true hustle. We get to our room and tried to order coffee and some type of dessert. They said they don't have room service because of a menu change? So we ordered four waters. 45 minutes passed and I call back down stating we have been waiting for 45 minutes to get water. They said they would bring it up. No water. 30 more minutes passes by and still no water. We call back down and of course we were upset for then telling us several times it would be right up and never got water. The guy at the front hung up on us. We will never, ever stay here again. Terrible service. Terrible customer service.

Yelp
Eddie is one of the best servers I've ever had here. My colleague has been living here for about a week when we walked at the door he brought his drink right out with him ordering. He's very friendly as well. If you are ever at the roof top bar at the current ask for Eddie.

Yelp
I came here for a one day conference and i really enjoyed this location! The valet staff was so kind, the room we had our meeting in was spacious and so beautiful, and they had a gorgeous deck that was made for pictures! They had an infinity pool and plenty of areas to sit outside under the shade - to enjoy the water. It was just gorgeous! They also have the store "Oxford Exchange" - which is cool to see! The parking is a little confusing, so I just went with valet. I don't remember the price for it / but it was affordable and easier than trying to find parking. However, if you don't like valet, that could be frustrating trying to find parking. I enjoyed this place though and the staff was friendly! I hope to come back!

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel, great valet and front desk staff! Room was beautiful, pool was perfect, location was great! At the front desk, we talked to 3 different people during our stay, and they were all extremely welcoming and helpful. Gym equipment was perfect for travel, had everything we could need. The negatives: lack of concern for the spread of Covid-19. There was no enforcement of guests to wear masks in common areas - most we saw did not wear masks. No cleaning products in the gym to wipe down equipment before and after use. In a Covid-free time, would've given 5 stars.
