College Park’s indie counter does lobster rolls, blackened mahi, fish and chips, and Key lime pie with a breezy, coastal feel. Praised by local critics; its raw-bar offshoot signals a growing hometown following.

Very grateful to have this no frills seafood restaurant in my neighborhood. I've been here a few times and this is my 1st review here. It's counter service but they will bring your food to your table. Excellent choice of seafood that changes based on availability. The service is friendly & good. The restaurant has plenty of seating which is mainly high top but they also have standard tables as well. Also an outdoor patio. There is a nice selection of tap beers with a focus on NE, I was unsure and offered a sample which was a nice touch. Tonight I treated myself to a Connecticut style Lobster Roll which I had never had before. The lobster was plentiful and delicious! I highly recommend The Current if you are looking for a wide choice of fresh seafood.

Google
It's always a joy to discover a restaurant that specializes in a couple of things and does them extremely well. Excellent, well-prepared seafood in a casual, clean environment. For some reason, Central Florida has seemed to lack a high number of casual, locally owned, well-done seafood places. This place is doing it right. It's straightforward, fresh, comes out quickly, and they must have incredible air handling equipment because the place has a fresh clean smell about it. Fried shrimp seemed a good place to start, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly light coating of a southern style cornmeal with incredibly fresh tasting butterfly shrimp underneath. Will definitely work through the rest of the menu.

I Google fish sandwich near me and this place came up. Food was awesome. Reminds me of any casual seafood food eatery in NE region. Hush puppies had real sweet corn and not overly doughy. Fresh golden shoe string fries well seasoned with old bay salt. Fries accompanied with haddock. Haddock is an easy mold fish that takes on whatever u dress it up with. They kept it simple and I liked it because the batter was crispy and I am a fan of simple ingredients especially with this dish. Really nice casual joint for fresh fish and they offer draft beer options. I did not catch an adult beverage this time but on a hot summer evening I am sure I will re visit and partake in a cold frothy beer.

Google
We tried the fish and chips, the fish was haddock and it was delicious. The portion was a decent size to. They do charge you for tarter sauce which i didn't like, the prices aren't cheap, they should at least give you one sauce and maybe charge for extras.

Ordered pick up and opened all boxes and it was completely soggy and wet. A fried seafood place needs to do better than this for $50+. No one want to eat wet fried food.

Google
My wife and I stopped in today for a quick lunch and everything was excellent! We had the softshell crab sandwich and the fish and chips, both were fresh and a great portion size. They have a great draft beer selection as well! You can sit inside, which has a mellow relaxed coastal atmosphere or you can sit outside on the picnic tables and order from the QR code, which is nice and convenient. The Current reminds me of some of the family owned and local seafood places I grew up going to as a kid and I’m bummed it took us so long to eat here considering we live right around the corner. We will absolutely be back!

Google
Not really understanding all the 5 star reviews of this place. We were really hoping this would fulfill our local fish and chips cravings but it just didn't live up to the hype. The fish was mediocre at best and when it's served on top of the chips, it just makes them all soggy with the steam/heat coming from the fish. The hush puppies we were served were not even cooked all the way through. When you opened it up, raw dough was still gooey in the middle.

Google
Enjoyed everything about our experience at The Current Seafood Counter! Can’t beat a $7 margarita … especially when it’s actually tasty! We ordered a variety of food- sweet corn hush puppies, cole slaw, buffalo shrimp, soft shell crab sandwich, NE lobster roll and both Old Bay and garlic parmesan fries. I can honestly say that every item was delicious. A special shout out to the most unique cole slaw I’ve ever had and garlic Parmesan fries that we left no trace of. Ordering and paying on an app at the table was seamless and the service was outstanding. Drinks were served quickly and the food was delivered to the table by the cook himself…. who did a follow-up with us to make sure everything was good. A strong 10/10!

Yelp
After moving to Orlando, I've been on the hunt for the best lobster rolls, and THIS IS IT! The lobster rolls were so perfectly packed with chunky meat. Check out all the claw meat in all three lobster rolls. Love that each order comes with a generous amount of Old Bay fries and lemon wedges. Service was just as good as the food. You can order with a QR code if sitting outside but our waitress came out to check if we had any questions and filled up a water bowl for our pup.

Yelp
Let's start with the good! The fish and chips were amazing, the light batter on the fish is outstanding and the side sauces such as lemon tarragon aioli were great. Now let's move on to the not so great. My wife ordered the blackened mahi salad, the fish was outstanding but this was more of a side salad size not an entree. For $17 they could use a little bit more romaine. I felt that my fish and chips was much better priced at $18 for the portion than hers. Not necessarily the restaurants fault but the AC was broken during our visit which also made the experience a little less than desirable. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other items when the AC is fixed

Yelp
It's hard getting seafood place recommendations as all the locals say they go to the coast for good seafood, however this was place was an exception and everyone I talked to agreed that it was great and I thought so too! This location is in a quaint main street area near several other establishments in the College Park neighborhood. You can either seat yourself inside or outside and order from the table on your phone or you can order inside at the counter. The menu was rather extensive, but Cole was very helpful and gave a great suggestion for a grouper sandwich which was served fresh and delicious! They also have several beers on draft which complemented the meal. The fries were seasoned with Old Bay and fresh as well! Definitely a great place to try and return!

Yelp
Awesome local spot serving up some fresh seafood made to order in College Park. Also a happy sponsor of a local podcast team up of Tom and Dan. Our service today was great and super friendly. We came for a late lunch and both the indoor and outdoor seating were quiet for a Sunday lunch. Filled with blue and white umbrellas on the ceiling and multiple tvs for music, trivia, or background underwater scenes. We loved our meals today of the fried chicken sandwich made with huge breaded fried tenders a top crispy shoe string fries was tender and lightly breaded. We did order a side of their garlic fries that was delicious with lots of fresh minced garlic tossed in. I loved my light and flavorful shrimp scampi served with linguine. This was our second time coming here and are so happy we did today.

Yelp
My partner and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. We sat inside and ordered from the QR code on the table. We would've preferred a physical menu to browse instead as it's a lot of clicking and going back and forth on Toast Tab. Once you know what you want, it's really easy to order though. My partner ordered the Shrimp Scampi and I ordered the Shrimp Burger. We also shared a side of Sweet Corn Hushpuppies. The scampi was delicious! The noodles were cooked perfectly, LOTS of shrimp, and the sauce was so well-balanced. Our only complaint was the serving size was a little small for a meal portion. If they a charged a little more and served a little more, I think the portion would be more on par with the burger I ordered. There is an option to double the pasta for an extra $3, so maybe we'll do that next time. The Shrimp Burger was interesting in a good way! The patty reminded me of a conch fritter, but less chewy due to the lack of conch. The texture was nice and crispy! I enjoyed the diced peppers mixed into the patty. The teriyaki slaw added a subtle sweet and savory sauce to the burger. The grilled pineapple didn't seem like it added much to the burger, but it was fine. I probably could've done without it. My burger came with Old Bay fries. I thought they were ok. I would've preferred plain fries with that burger, but I could see those fries being really good with their fried seafood baskets. I felt like the Old Bay seasoning kind of clashed with the flavor profile of the burger, which was more sweet and savory. The Sweet Corn Hushpuppies were tasty! They came with a sriracha aioli that wasn't too spicy. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed the corn kernels in the mix. The service was good. It was a little bit of a wait for the food, but not excessive and it was worth it! An employee brought our drinks to the table once we placed our order. She came back to refill them before our food arrived. Once it arrived, she checked on us again to make sure everything was good. The ambiance is casual. The chairs are terribly uncomfortable though. Lol Their outdoor seating looks more comfortable, but it was too hot to eat outside for us. Overall, we really enjoyed The Current. Good seafood! We can't wait to come back and try other menu items.

Yelp
Growing up in New England and having seafood at your disposal, it's great to see this place pop up. The environment was really nice. And the service was pretty speedy. I had the mussels and grouper sandwich. The fries were crispy and flavorful. I love to see a fish sandwich where you get more fish than batter. I tried my wife's salmon salad and it was also great. I will be coming back soon.

Yelp
The Current is fantastic. It's really high quality, tasty food for reasonable prices, with a great beer selection. The service is quick and very friendly. The vibe is casual and chill. Great spot!

Yelp
On a early Saturday afternoon strolling down Edgewater Drive we spoted The Current. My son loves him some seafood so he was 100% choosing this spot! We opted to try 2 meals so we can split them. We got the fish and chips and upgraded the fries to the garlic fries and we also got the 1/2 pound of shrimp. The fish and chips were soooooooo tasty! And the fries I had to be quick to grab some or my child would have eaten them all!! There was also a good amount of shrimp that we shared. They also have a deal of $7 drinks and I grabbed the tequila sunrise which as very well made! My child repeatedly said over and over how much he would like to go back so we will be making our way back. I saw there is a location in sanford so may check that out. The lady that took our order and refilled my childs drinks was very nice and she was the only one that I saw working up front.

Yelp
Just tried the lobster roll and salmon salad for the first time here and it was yummy. Service was terrific and we will definitely come back.

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch on a Monday with a friend to celebrate her birthday. She was craving seafood, so I knew this was the place to finally try out. The restaurant is bigger inside than what I expected with large tables on both sides. You can either order from the counter or from your phone. We took our time looking at the menu online and ordered from my phone. We started with 2 Seabreeze cocktails, which are $7 every day. They were fairly strong and tasty. The sweet corn hushpuppies are a must get for the table. I loved them and the sauce paired with them. It's a great balance of sweet and tangy. For main entrees, I ordered the shrimp burger, and my friend got the soft shell crab sandwich. She had no complaints with her food. My shrimp burger was delicious. I've never had one before, and it was so good with lots of shrimp in the patty and paired amazing with the pineapple and slaw on top. Our food and drinks were good. Not bad prices when all this costs $67, including tip. My one con was that we felt a little rushed while dining in even though there were plenty tables available around us. I would dine here again.

Yelp
I really liked both the food and the whole vibe of this place, so I really hope it stays in business, because there are not many places to find good, fresh seafood. It's an order-at-the-counter type, but they do bring your food to you and come by quite often to clean up and refill drinks if needed. Staff were all so friendly. There is a great selection of all different types of seafood and all different styles of cooking. They have a great selection of craft beers and wine too. I ordered the New England lobster roll with coleslaw instead of fries (they let you get any side to go with it, no upcharge). My husband got the blackened mahi sandwich with Old Bay seasoned fries. My lobster roll was perfection. Perfectly buttered toasted bun, huge chunks of fresh lobster, and just the right amount of mayo to give substance but not smother it and loose the lobster flavor. It was just a delicious bite. I only wish it were a little bigger. The coleslaw was yummy, and I loved the addition of the kale, but it was just a little too heavy on the dressing. Next time I would get the fries because that Old Bay seasoning on them was so good! I can't attest to the flavor of the blackened mahi sandwich, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed it and it looked amazing. It was pretty big too. Might have to try that next time. While lunch is a bit pricy, it's worth it for fresh seafood!

Yelp
Would love to be able to give 4.5 stars, but since there's no half stars, I rounded down to 4. I got the blackened shrimp pasta, and while it was wonderful, it just needs a little something extra and then it would get 5 stars. I also got the old bay fries, and those were perfect. The portions sizes are great, with the fries being large enough for two. The service was wonderful; pleasant and kind people who come by to check on you even though it doesn't seem to be a traditional restaurant like that since it's counter service. I absolutely loved it and will be back because I must try the lobster roll. I may try sitting outdoors because the chairs inside feel like I'm going to slide off them lol (no, I'm not a size 6, but I'm also not plus size; the seat just seems like it's too tiny and like it's trying to eject me lol). The seats aren't enough to keep me away, nor should it deter you.

Yelp
Our first time here and the service was great. We ordered and took our number to our table to the outdoor seating. Several picnic tables with umbrellas to block the setting sun. We ordered the Salmon Caesar salad with a side of their Lemon Tarragon Aioli sauce. Also the fish (haddock) and chips. We also had a glass of Cabernet $7 and a craft beer on tap. My salmon was good, but just on the border of being over cooked. The taste was really good. The fish and chips were served with seasoned thin fries on top of the two filets of fried fish. Not appetizing. The fries made the fish soggy. I think we ordered from the less popular items on the menu based on other reviews. So I'm sure there are better offerings. I hate to think our one review is true for all. It just wasn't our favorite seafood. Parking is on the street parallel close to the restaurant.

Yelp
Best lobster roll, linguine & clams, wine, beer, service...so good!! This place is amazing. Super cute inside too. Will definitely come back here.

Yelp
The current is a local seafood restaurant over in the Edgewater neighborhood. They specialize in all things seafood including fish, shrimp, clam, lobster, crab you name it. Think of them as a more elevated seafood shack type of restaurant where you can sit down and eat. The staff here is amazing, all incredibly friendly and helpful. They can help you decide what to order if you're on the fence and then they are very attentive. We ordered the fried shrimp basket with old bay fries and a shrimp linguine pasta. The fried shrimp was perfect, fried to perfect and seasoned very well. The old bay fries had just the right amount of old bay to combine with the saltiness and crispiness of the fries. The shrimp linguine was our favorite. The shrimp was very good, the pasta cooked well with a light cajun sauce over it. The bottom line, this is well worth a visit if you're a seafood lover. Great relaxed environment with friendly and helpful staff well worth it.

Yelp
First time in. Been on my list for a while. Very cool vibe. So far I am impressed - and I am literally the only customer here on this Wednesday at 4pm. Pleasant little spot on "The Drive" in the College Park area of Orlando. So many wonderful dining spots here as well as a cool place to hang out and browse the shops throughout the Downtown. This place fits right in with the casual, small town (like mine in NJ) vibe that is being cultivated here. Good music playing softly. Plenty of seating. Nice little outdoor seating group. Sandwiches, chilled seafood, sautéed seafood, snacks, meals, beer, wine, cocktails all in a very informal yet "upscale" environment, perhaps informed by the address. I came for the lobster roll. It was good. It was different i opted for the more traditional New England chiller variety. Solid 4 (h nice the overall rating). The chicken strips and fries were outstanding!! Definitely an add to the regular rotation.

Yelp
I was excited that they opened a location near me and decided to stop by, since I had already tried their Sanford location. The restaurant is open, nicely decorated, clean and it makes you feel welcomed. There is plenty of inside seating and some outside seating. You order at the counter and get a number to wait for your order. They also serve beer and highballs. The staff is friendly and attentive and happy to answer any questions. They checked on me to make sure my meal was good and that is a good touch. I ordered the caesar blacked salmon salad and it sure hit the spot. It was fresh, made to order, flavorful, tasty and cooked well. With so many good seafood items to choose from, it is hard to pick just one. I will definitely be back to try more things!

Yelp
This was a great seafood find! The Current is best described as a seafood counter....you go to the counter order your food off of the menu board and then it is brought to you at your table. This location is on Edgewater drive, so parking is a little challenging at busy times, but there is generally street parking during many normal traffic hours. Inside the place has an open and well lit environment. This is the kind of place where you can order by 1/2 lb trays. We ordered fried shrimp and clams, then added on hush puppies and fries. IT was plenty of food for 2. (We definitly brought some home). THe seafood was fresh and very tasty ...one of the better fried seafood joints that we's been to. They offer up more than just fixed seafood, but that is what we had while here. Definitely recommend trying this place out. The seafood was cooked nicely and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
There's not a bad option on this menu. We always over order here as if it's 4ppl because it smells so good and let much everything we've ordered so far has been good. Service is always with a smile and laughter.

Yelp
This. Is. The. Place! the food was so freshly prepared and delicious I will come back whenever I'm in Orlando every time! The service was friendly, convenient and most importantly FAST! The vibe is fast casual but the service is most certainly not that. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful. Had the fried shrimp basket, lobster roll (we will get back to this!), hush puppies, fish and chips and sweet tea (a little of everything!). The staff checked in on us despite having gotten our food and sitting outside. Offering condiments and refills on drinks. Now back to the lobster roll, I have literally never said this... there was so much lobster meat it was falling off the roll and delicious. I'm coming back just for it. Please visit and keep this place going. It's DELICIOUS!

Yelp
A seafood counter on Edgewater in College Park! Thank goodness it's not another pizza joint! We had fried shrimp, fried bay scallops, fried OKRA! and a chopped salad along with shrimp linguine. Everything is delicious and fresh! I am a huge fan of fried okra and theirs did not disappoint, it was lightly breaded and fried crispy golden as were my bay scallops. We also had an order of Parmesan French fries. All delicious!! The wait staff, Jenna and cook/server CROSBY! were both very welcoming, entertaining, and made great dining suggestions! We dined on the patio but they have loads of indoor seating and they serve a variety of beers as well as wine. The vibe is casual, we walked up as we are in the neighborhood and felt very much at home! Well done Current!

Yelp
First visit to The Current Seafood Counter. Food is great (clam chowder, fried clam strips, and fried shrimp), beverages amazingly inexpensive. Despite being quite busy, service was attentive and quick. Only hight-top tables were still available inside (my husband doesn't have the best mobility or balance), so we ate outside. The picnic tables are well-shaded, although fans would be a nice addition of possible. We could watch people walking or driving by. Traffic was occasionally noisy, but overall it was fine. We enjoyed our visit and will return to try more offerings.

Yelp
We are always on the lookout for a tasty lobster spot, just to satisfy our Key West longing. This is the spot For Orlando, both the Maine and Connecticut lobster roll are legitimate, large pieces of lobster on buttered rolls we couldn't choose which was our favorite but with food this good it really doesn't matter. Check Facebook for current hours. The lunch queue was long and about a 40 minute wait for takeout but everyone was pleasant and it went by fast. We also got the fish and chips and hush puppies but they were just average

Yelp
Checked out The Current Seafood Counter for a late lunch the other day and it was a great addition to the College Park area. The inside had a cool atmosphere, it seems like a great spot to hangout at night too. It was such a beautiful day though so we sat outside on their patio. The tables outside had QR codes to order from but since it was our first time we walked up to the counter to order. We had the shrimp and cheesy grits (only served on Saturdays) and the New England lobster roll. The lobster roll, at $28, was a little pricy but it was really good! The shrimp and grits were so full of flavor and extremely filling. The service was pleasant and attentive. We didn't partake but could see that they had a decent beer list and a full bar. Excited to go back!

Yelp
Excited to have a new seafood spot in college park! The Current has a great selection of options (for food, beer, and spirits), a nice elevated casual ambiance, and helpful service. We stopped in on a weekend for lunch and had no problem finding a spot - it was nice out so we were thankful they had plentiful patio seating out front. I ordered the lobster roll which was one of the pricier options on the menu at $28, and my partner went with the shrimp and grits special. The lobster roll was decent, but didn't feel like it lived up to the price tag - the lobster felt overpowered by the amount of lettuce, so I opted to remove around half of that as well. The shrimp and grits were solid, although it was over-sauced for my liking and made it difficult to taste the shrimp. Overall we had a good time and look forward to stopping back in to try more of what they have to offer.

Yelp
I'm actually reluctantly writing this because we were able to get seats right away at lunch time and I don't want this place to become one of those spots that end up with long lines that I won't wait in, lol. But it was too good not to write something! This is not a fancy spot, it's a walk up and order (or use the app) kind of place that you eat food out of paper baskets. But it's great because you get really good food with ample portions at a very reasonable price! There was 3 of us, we got blackened shrimp salad, blackened mahi salad, peel and eat shrimp, fried okra and the shrimp and pepper fritters. All of which was fresh and delicious! The food came out fast, the service was friendly and we made plans to come back next time in the evening to enjoy some adult beverages. Really no complaints at all. Not a lot of decent casual seafood options around and this one is top notch!
google avatar

Kenz M.

Yelp
Casual order at the counter restaurant and the food is phenomenal and fresh. I ordered the blackened shrimp linguine and the current salad ( I Didn't add any fish but I think I will next time). The other people I was with ordered the Caesar salad and the blackened mahi sandwich. They were both delicious and refreshing. The staff was friendly and answered any questions. The only thing I wish they had was a Sauvignon blanc lol but that's okay :) loved it here, will definitely be back

SwampTrash M.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, though I felt the portions were small compared to the price. I am still inclined to leave a five star review though since there are not many options for good, casual seafood in Central Florida without driving to the coast. We had the CT lobster roll, blackened shrimp, and soft shell crab sandwich. You have the option to order at the counter or sit down and order off a QR code. We were annoyingly prompted to leave a tip even though it is not a serviced based establishment.

Yelp
Husband told me he saw a new seafood place in the area, and boy have we been missing some decently priced, fresh seafood in this neck of the woods--ever since WP fish co. Tanked . So, accepting the fact that we just won't be getting anything to eat for less than $15 an entree ever again...I was very happy we tried it out. I had blackened mahi on current salad. I LOVE a shredded crunchy salad and some well-cooked fish. Can't miss! Daughter scarfed her lil fried shrimp. Husband's current salad with shrimp had huge shrimp. Of course getting casual drinks for $7 and under is ALSO such a relief. Lately I've just been skipping the beer when going out cuz it doubles the bill! I can handle this . I hope they can sustain this model. Casual fare done very well. We've missed this in winter park! Also, their next door neighbors are tamale co. Who we loved im Conway. Glad Edgewater is reviving

Yelp
Delicious blackened salmon sandwich. It came with fries with old bay seasoning. Good value and friendly service. Fast casual set up!

Explora V.

Yelp
Exploration Notes: We ordered through a QR code, so there was almost zero interaction--except when they dropped off our drinks. Service felt distant, and we missed that personal touch. Speaking of drinks... they hit like a college Thursday night. Strong, but in that cheap, heavy-pour kind of way. Maybe fun back in the day, but now? Not it. They didn't have the linguine with white clam sauce I was craving, so I went with the Soft Shell Crab Sandwich. Not my thing. The Lobster Roll was decent but not $30-decent. I've had better for less. The Blackened Mahi Current Salad? That was actually solid--a win! Hushpuppies were bomb. Crispy, hot, and totally addictive. Exploravour Score (1-5): Ambiance - 2/5 (Casual but lacked any real vibe. Felt more like a quick stop than an experience.) ‍ Service - 3/5 (Basic and distant. No complaints, but nothing stood out.) Food - 3/5 (Some hits, some misses. Mahi salad and hushpuppies saved the day.) Drinks - 2/5 (Strong for the sake of strong. Missing finesse.) Value for Money - 3/5 (Price point didn't match the quality. $30 for a lobster roll that didn't wow? Meh.) Guest Experience - 2/5 (Forgettable. We left feeling... uninspired.)

Yelp
While visiting my favorite plant shop on Edgewater Drive, I decided to look up places to eat and found this gem across the street! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted so warmly by the employees. I asked about their favorite items and was given some really helpful recommendations - but I had my eye set on fish and chips. They offered me water, even though I was taking my food to go. I did wait a while for the food, which means it was truly fresh! I couldn't wait to get home, so I started eating in my car lol and omg this food was so delicious!!! I'm definitely a fan and will be returning with my family. There are plenty of tables and space to sit inside and they have a covered patio with tables and chairs. It's slowly getting cooler here, so outdoor seating will be really nice!

K K.

Yelp
Another great meal from The Current. I picked up an order for lunch today. This time I tried the fish and chips. This is now my favorite fish and chips. The fish was tender and practically melted in my mouth. The breading was just right and the perfect amount for the fish. It was not greasy or heavy like most. It came with seasoned fries lightly crispy on the outside and smooth potato on the inside with Old Bay seasoning. Very delicious. There were two large pieces of fish and generous portion of fries. Also came with small amount of broccoli slaw which was really good and a quarter of a piece of lemon. I also got two orders of hush puppies which I'm addicted to and saving for later for snacks. Food was ready at the time they stated and they we're just packing it up as I arrived. Place is clean and inviting and people are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Love that Orlando finally has a good seafood quick serve restaurant. It's super cute and clean inside with plenty of seating. And outdoor seating as well. Had the New England lobster roll and it was great. Fries are thin and crispy with old bay seasoning. Go and support this business.

Yelp
Ah, The Current, the place where seafood dreams may come true. We kicked off our meal with the fried grouper sandwich, which was so good I thought it swam to the table. The lobster roll, let's just say it was so divine it might have been made by aqua man himself. The corn hush puppies were little golden nuggets of joy. I'm convinced they sprinkled a bit of "magic" in the batter. The fried scallops were decent, but let's be honest, they are the shy cousins at the seafood family reunion. The shrimp tri pepper fritters were crispy, flavorful, and delicious. As for the current salad, it was fresh, vibrant, and made me feel slightly better about all the fried goodness I was consuming. The atmosphere was cool, the kind of place where you could probably get away with wearing flip-flops. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Portion sizes were good Overall, The Current is a good spot for seafood lovers who appreciate a good lunch, Definitely worth a visit. You stay classy Orlando!

Yelp
Someone called this a hidden Gem. This is definably a PEARL. Very clean, the staff was great, and the food was excellent. I'm from Jacksonville and finding this place was well worth it. Next time I'm in College Park Orlando I will be back for a great meal.

Yelp
Better call before you drive there to find a sign on the door that they open at 5PM. 5 other people showed up at the door with a confused look on their faces.

Yelp
The blackened shrimp linguine was very flavorful and perfectly prepared. It didn't need any additional seasoning and is a great combo of flavors and textures. The person who took my order was polite and cheerful. Overall, a fabulous experience. I will be back!

Yelp
A friend and I had lunch here on a work day. $18 for a mahi Caesar salad. My friend and I both enjoyed but did not feel it was worth $18. We shared the Parmesan fries which if memory serves me right was $10. I would also say this was overpriced. It did come with fresh garlic but it was pretty generic and the bottom of the fry tray was swimming in oil. We were both eyeing the lobster roll but at $29 per roll, we both opted out. The staff was friendly and nice. The place is cute. Will I come back? Sadly, probably not.

Yelp
Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. too pricey the lobster rolls, 30$ I love food, but I believe the butter overtakes the flavor of the lobster.

Yelp
I am so excited to add a seafood restaurant to the college park line-up of restaurants. I was taken aback by how large and open this place is inside. There is an original location in Sanford, but I've never tried it. You order at the counter, and they will bring your order to your table. They did come by frequently to refill our waters through. My shrimp were fried great, and I loved my hushpuppies. My huge basket of shrimp was only $9. Wow. My partner got the catfish basket. It came with fries that he thought were over seasoned. I liked them, especially to balance out the fish. For dessert, they have cheesecake and key lime pie. My rule is never to pass up key lime pie. It's hard to find key lime pie, so I'm excited to have it available so close to home. They will have 16 taps of draft beer, as of writing this, it's not yet available.
