I go in here just about every other day. The workers are so incredibly kind every time my son and I go in. There’s even been times I’ve walked in 10 minutes before closing after they’ve clearly mopped the floor and they’ve still been kind to us. I’m obsessed with the Cookie Monster flavored ice cream. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it. My 6 year old either gets Superman or Mint Chip. He won’t eat Superman from anywhere else. There’s another custard place close by and my son got Superman from them after a haircut. The disappointment on his face said it all. There was a cherry in it, I’m not sure if the red ice cream they use is mixed with cherries or what but he was really disappointed. I’ve also had the chocolate chip waffle with chocolate custard from this location and it’s delicious. Service is always prompt and excellent. The girls greet you as soon as you step foot in the door. No matter how busy they are they’re always super kind. I know I keep reiterating it but you really don’t find too many places where the employees are always kind and smiling. It’s also always clean, cold and smells nice.

Cute little place. The portions are generous and the custard is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, too. Well worth a visit. Outdoor seating only.

Went for the first time today , ordered a chocolate covered strawberry flurry and the ice cream was really not cold or solid , my boyfriend said his shake was good .

Our first time there, the custard cone was very good..and do was the strawberry malt.. they even made sure it would stay cold and put it in another cup. It was very clean and bright! I love a clean place..easy parking..will be back..

What can I say about this favorite book ice cream spot of ours? The young workers are always so nice. Service is quick and professional. Love the many options on the menu. And I really like the vegan options offered and often changing flavors offered. Don't pass this place up when next considering a stop for a sweet tooth fix. You won't be disappointed at all!

The location on Monroe st. Is my favorite. The staff is always SO NICE. We walked in super close to closing one day and they were so welcoming which i feel like doesn't happen nowadays. The creamiest yogurt out there. Small space but there's seating outside, perfect for summer.

Great ice cream flavors! So glad they opened one closer to my house. You can get soft serve custard or scoops. I like to get the moose tracks or Mackinac fudge ice cream. My son enjoys the waffle sandwiches. They have picnic tables out front to enjoy your treats. Great service overall!

It just opened about 6 hours and the frozen Custard was delicious. The wait for it to be built and finally open appears to be worth the wait! It's great to have The Original Custard Hut in the neighborhood

I've been coming to the customer for many years and it's been a great place to get custard brings a lot of memories to me I went to school across street when I was in middle school I would go across the street to get some custard hut it was only open the spring and summer it was a delight to have custard and the original place had its charm with many people coming and going but they can keep the place running I think the custard hut is a true gem. I can see that having a waffle sandwich with customer and it was such a great experience not too many places back them had the great custard they have. so if you are up in Dearborn Heights and wondered that the customer hut was been running for so long and then do so many stages in life with so many adverts events that happen in the last seven years I bet any money that they had a new owner we create a new building but within the same spot I remember it it was like just walking into an old shoppes. it would give you goosebumps because I was a staple in Dearborn Heights . so for the new owners by voice keep things simple and don't change nothing.

We stopped in for 2 scoops of black cherry and a smore flurry. The smore flurry was pretty bland. The black cherry taste and texture was like it had freezer burn. Both ended up in the garbage.
