We had dinner here while on vacation. We ate on the patio, we couldn't have asked for better atmosphere! Great service, and outstanding weather. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, they were very flavorful, a great choice on our part! I ordered the Scallops with tomato sauce. It was very flavorful, however, it was prepared with a tad more olive oil than I prefer. I've included a photo for reference. My wife ordered the black pasta, as she had never had squid ink pasta before. She enjoyed the pasta.

Initially stopped by here during a food tour and has a cocktail and clams casino. Both were very good, staff was welcoming, and we got a good feel from it during that short visit. That encouraged us to stop by for lunch a few days later as we were heading out of town. For me, the chickpea salad and a small side of the squid-ink pasta was a perfect lunch and the perfect amount. The chickpea salad had a very good blend of flavors, all complementing each other and none overpowering. The squid-ink pasta with the recommended white sauce was very good as well with the appropriate hint of sea salt coming through. Overall, both visits were attended to by wait staff that knew their business and the menu well. The recommendations were spot on.

We went to Boston for a bachelorette trip, and made last minute reservations for 10 people. We couldn’t have made a better decision than picking this restaurant!! The food was perfect - we ordered multiple apps, entrees, and desserts and everything tasted delicious. PJ was our waiter, and he made it an unforgettable experience for us. He gave us the best service, made sure everyone was having fun, and even had the owner come out to meet us and take pictures with us. The restaurant was beautiful as well!! Couldn’t recommended it enough and make sure to ask for PJ!!

Had a nice dinner here tonight. The patio is very clean and beautiful. The staff were attentive and humorous. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the calamari meatballs, and the broccoli along with the clam chowder were above average. I do not recommend the squid pasta. Next time I would stick to only seafood.

Visiting from NY (our first trip alone with our 6-month old!) We came at prime dinner time without a reservation, so a wait was expected, but the hostess was very pleasant & accommodating. We walked around, came back in half an hour when the table was almost ready & it was definitely worth the wait. We had two delicious cocktails, the yellowfin crostini (recommended by our waiter, PJ...super down-to-earth guy) the clam chowder, lobster fra diavlo (DELICIOUS), chickpea salad & garlic bread. Perfect amount of food for two with room for dessert.....which thank goodness we saved room for. The bread pudding special disappeared faster than it took to order & the pumpkin espresso martini was perfection. All of the staff was extremely attentive, constantly walking by to notice if anything needed to be cleared. It was an enjoyable, relaxing meal to finish a sort of hectic day.

Beautiful setting, delicious food and great service. The grilled octopus with white beans was delicious. The salads fresh and tasty and the fish was outstanding.

Had grilled Swordfish with Crispy polenta. Chili Bagna Cauda and grilled zucchini. Tad bit too oily but flavorful. Atmosphere was very happening (for a Monday everning) and we could find seating on the bar only. Food took a bit longer but service was good otherwise.

About last night… The Daily Catch was amazing!A must visit Italian Restaurant Boston’s historic North End. We started off with the clams casino!wow the texture of the clams and the charred texture was amazing! Next was The Lobster Fra Diavolo is their signature dish and it did not disappoint. Its served in the pan that its cooked ans it full of seafood! Maurizio was very attentive and a true Connoisseur of their dishes. We also cannot forget the service from Bianca, they both made us feel at home. Last was the dessert we got the creme brulee and the limoncello cake, wow! Enjoyed every minute of our dinner. Bon Appetite!

Yelp
My mom had called in advance to seemingly reserve a table but we missed the 15 minute cutoff. Luckily they still had tables outside on the heated patio so we braved the windy & cold weather because we were all so hungry!! The menu's pretty straightforward but I'm ngl I had a hard time deciding. I ended up choosing the monkfish marsala because I KNOW mushroom/wine/cream combo eats every time. The bread came slightly cold, not even room temperature but it didn't taste bad at all. In fact despite looking like my least favorite kind of bread service I eventually had several pieces. Our food came together so it was a long wait between ordering and getting to chow down. The portions were not intimidating at all! There should have been a lot more pasta in the signature lobster dish, but better a little taste than nothing. The squid ink cacio e pepe was *chefs kiss* but very greasy. The sauteed garlic lost their pungence so were very chewy. My dish was pleasant but had a flavor I wasn't expecting. Overall, seems like a lovely place for both locals and visitors alike but leans touristy. Reminds me of a restaurant we ate at on Pier 39 in SF.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston, The Daily Catch has the BEST squid ink pasta and other great options that keep me coming back for more. To start, the service was phenomenal. Our waitress was super friendly and checked in regularly without being overbearing and gave great recommendations. There were two other waiters who were also available and happy to help when needed. The dim lighting makes for great ambiance! I sat out in the patio tonight and was pleasantly surprised by the subtle but effective ceiling heaters that kept my table warm through the low 50s weather. Food: -Squid Ink Aglio Olio: 10/10! Always my go-to and must-have dish here. There are generous amounts of chopped calamari to balance the perfectly chewy noodles. -Fried Calamari: 9/10! More on the soft side than crispy side, but not in an unpleasant way. Sauce comes out HOT, which is a nice touch. We asked our waitress for more sauce midway and she gladly brought out another cup. -Fruitti di Mare: 9/10! Had a good number of clams, mussels, and scallops. Noodles were nice and thin. Dessert: -Tiramisu: 10/10! The shaved chocolate on the top made all the difference. The texture was the perfect blend of gritty chocolate bits and soft, slightly cakey cream. Not too sweet. -Chocolate Mousse: 9/10! Was on the heavier, thicker side but in a pleasant way. Rich chocolate flavor. Fruit could have been sweeter. -Crème Brûlée: 9/10! Not sure how to describe the consistency, but this was one of the breadiest(?) crème brûlées I've ever had, and I enjoyed it. Was a nice change from the typical silky smooth crème brûlées I've had. Fruit could have been sweeter.

Yelp
I love Daily Catch! It's a must go when I'm in Boston and a great place to take visitors who want to eat a quintessential Italian seafood pasta. The Waterfront location is great as they take reservations and accept credit cards, making it easy to plan ahead. The star of the show here is the Lobster Fra Diavolo and for 4 people we ordered the 2 person person which ended up being perfect for sharing along with the Aglio Olio Black Pasta and half a dozen oysters. The lobster pasta is super flavorful with large pieces of shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams and of course a large lobster. The seafood is cooked to perfection and the sauce nice and rich with a spicy kick. The housemade squid ink pasta is great too but on the heavier side. Love the chopped squid that they mix in and overall with the combination of the red sauce lobster pasta and olive oil black pasta, it's a great way to try the best that the Daily Catch has to offer.

Yelp
I first came here years ago and have been dreaming about coming back ever since. Did not disappoint! For starters - make a reservation otherwise prepare to wait for about an hour. We got lucky and only had to wait 30 minutes. No brainer, we got the squid ink pasta. Served in the frying pan which made the meal that much more fun and probably taste that much better. I got the garlic and calamari and it was way more calamari than I expected which was a really nice surprise. We kept it simple, stuck to just the pasta and all of it was delicious. If/when we get the chance to come back again, i'll for sure try a bunch of other things. The food was delicious, i wish the portions were just slightly bigger but i'd still come back. Everyone was very friendly, clean, and patient. The food did take a big long to come out but the views were gorgeous and I knew I'd be in for such a treat when the food finally arrived.

Yelp
We had such a great lunch at The Daily Catch Waterfront. The linguine with clams and calamari in white sauce was so good fresh seafood and the pasta had so much flavor. The baked haddock was perfectly cooked, flaky and not heavy at all, and the asparagus was simple but really well done. Both meals were huge portions! Also the Arnold Palmers were perfect. On top of all that, our server was so friendly and made the experience even better. He mentioned that he was fairly new to working there but I would've never known because he seemed like a pro!! The outdoor area is great on a beautiful day.

Yelp
Decided to come to The Daily Catch as it was another one of Boston's lobster spots. Also came with a personal recommendation as it was our friend's favorite restaurant when she lived in Boston. Since all I cared about was lobster, my decision was very easy. Ordered a 2 person Lobster Fra Diavolo. This was great! Loaded with seafood and one whole lobster, plus a ton of linguine with a tasty tomato sauce. Absolutely hit the spot. Service was fine here, no complaints. Worth the visit for sure, would come back.

Yelp
This was a restaurant that we ended up eating at because there was a 45 minute wait at our restaurant of choice that didn't take reservations. Unfortunately we had a time restriction so we just went with it. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was packed. Overall the service was really good. The big problem however, was that the food prep could have been better. For starters, we had the fried calamari. The quantity was good but it lacked crispiness. The color was good so I'm not sure if it had to do with the batter/coating. I had the fish and chips and it was the same. It was seasoned well but the coating wasn't great. The black pasta aglio oliio was way overly garlicky. I'm not sure how many cloves were used but it was a lot. Also, it could have used a bit more cooking. It was almost raw garlic and had that "spicy" taste to it. The pasta itself was perfectly aldente. Stepping back a bit we also had the octopus appetizer. It was probably the best thing on the table although it needed a bit more char.

Yelp
Great service, friendly staff, good beer selection and great clam chowder. Popular and family friendly.

Yelp
I love The Daily Catch! I visited the original store in Boston's North End long time ago, yet still remembers its name and wants to visit every time I am back in Boston! I didn't know how they opened other stores and are doing very well! We made the reservation for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the beautiful seaport view. The restaurant is beautiful. Has a large outdoor heated patio space, a bar, and inside tables. We sat inside but could still feel the air blowing through and really enjoyed the breeze. The menu is now printed nicely and has more items than before. We went for their classic clams linguine and squid ink pasta! We added some appetizers, stuffed squids, grilled octopus, and oysters. They are all amazing! The flavors are excellent. I wasn't sure about how the stuffed squids would taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pastas were delicious and full of flavors like how I remembered. I would recommend the squid pasta in red sauce or add other seafood proteins. I will come back again and try their amazing lobster pasta next time! One thing I enjoyed the most is seeing their tradition of serving the pasta family style in the cooking pan! I am so happy seeing them doing well and I will come back next time!

Yelp
We were recommended The Daily Catch by a local and could not recommend it more! From the moment we arrived, the hosts set the tone--kind, funny, and genuinely happy to be there. Their energy made us feel instantly welcomed. We were seated in the best spot on the patio, overlooking the bay--a perfect backdrop for what turned into one of our favorite meals in Boston. The drinks were spot-on, and the gnocchi starter is absolutely worth your time (tip: get bread with it!). But the first real star of the night was the clam chowder--hands down one of the best I've ever had. And we're from the Pacific Northwest, so we eat a lot of chowder. Then came the squid ink pasta...wow. Served sizzling in the pan, it was decadent, perfectly sauced, and truly unforgettable. Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful, but one person in particular elevated the experience. The newly hired restaurant manager (his name starts with M!) radiated passion for the restaurant, shared local knowledge, and guided us to the perfect wine with such clarity and enthusiasm. He even surprised us with espresso martinis to close out the night--an amazing touch. This place doesn't just serve incredible food--it feels like a celebration of culture, community, and joy. We'll absolutely be back.

Yelp
I usually don't enjoy seafood restaurants this much, but this place wowed me!! We came here with a last minute reservation and were seated very easily. The restaurant was bustling during lunchtime and the bar was full as well. Our server was quick to take orders and food came in a timely manner. First off, the clam chowder was very possibly the best one I've had in Boston! I really enjoyed how fresh and light it tasted, along with the two puffs it came with. The calamari was also delicious, nothing too special, just very well fried! The two pastas we tried were amazing and each delicious in their own way. My favorite one would have to the the squid ink one, it was creamy, salty, basically just the right amount of everything. Overall, we loved our lunch here and will be craving their clam chowder all the time! I highly recommend you drop in if you're hanging out by the waterfront!

Yelp
Very small place. Get there early. Jimmy, the chef, was cooking like a pro! Waiter and Jimmy was very nice. Good food. Enjoyed it. Also, they only take CASH, just a heads up.

Yelp
First time In Boston and tried this place out. The server PJ was very friendly and on top of his game. The hostess was also very friendly. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food around us but I wasn't impressed with my order. The halibut was very dry and would not order it again. The bread is delicious and the vibe is upbeat. Next time I would order something else. Worth revisiting.

Yelp
I really love this location because of the open patio. Their oysters and pasta dishes are always amazing. I always get the Aglio Olio and the Mussels Marinara. The staff are always friendly and the service is fast. Can't wait to try more of their pasta dishes.

Yelp
It's a modern restaurant with warm and thoughtful decor of wood beams, clam shell wall lights, and rustic floors. The nice ambiance of the restaurant with a large outdoor seating area is almost always full. This intrigued us to visit for a quick lunch. The clam chowder is not as rich in flavor as the place across the street - lacked the depth and heartiness. The scallops were small and overloaded with oily crumbs though not overly seasoned so retained their sweetness and the pleasant flavor. The fried halibut was well prepared and flavorful with the crust complimenting nicely to the flavor profile; the sauce, despite being heavy, complimented the fish well. The incredible disappointment was the decision to dip the bread into the olive oil. Despite its fantastic fresh glow was completely rancid and bitter. All of the pleasant flavors of the meal were entirely overpowered and lingered! Our waitress was notified. Instead of removing the oil container, she suggested that I wash the taste down with coffee and dessert. No suggestion to make anything gratis. Upon leaving, we notified the manager to the issue with the oil. It took good 10-15 minutes to get the awful taste out of my mouth. It can be a decent place to spend the time - No matter what you do, don't touch the olive oil.
google avatar

Uyen N.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place, so I was kind of excited when coming here, but the food and service is just really disappointing. The octopus is very bland. On the other hand, risotto and the fish are extremely salty. I don't know how can they be too salty like that. The only good part of the risotto is the lemon pieces. And the server told me the chef said sorry, lol that's it. With the price they charged me and the fact that I couldn't finish these food (I tried to as much as I could bc I didn't want to waste money cuz of how expensive they are) and they didn't do anything besides "the chef said sorry," I would never come back here.

Yelp
Ordered and ate loads here! The pistachio martini was my fave. Never really had anything like it elsewhere. The food was nice and solid, lots of garlic - in a good way. Seafood tasted fresh. Service was great, the staff were friendly. We ordered a dessert and they put a candle in it as I had given them a heads up that it was my friend's birthday.

Yelp
Daily Catch is always a must-go restaurant when I have friends and family in town. Love that this location accepts reservations! Come here if you are looking for great food with pretty decent portions.

Yelp
A Memorable Birthday Celebration at Daily Catch Boston! We celebrated our son's birthday at Daily Catch Boston last month and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We are from out of town visiting him as he goes to school in the city. The ambience was cozy and nice atmosphere. Our server Omar was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations that pleased everyone at the table. Every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and full of rich, authentic flavors. The black pasta aglio olio, a Daily Catch signature, was a standout, and the calamari was among the best we've ever had. To top it all off, they surprised our son with a birthday dessert, complete with a candle and a cheer from the staff. It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made him feel celebrated. Daily Catch Boston gave us a night to remember, filled with laughter, amazing food, and heartfelt hospitality. We're so grateful for the experience and can't wait to return. Highly recommend for any special occasion--or just a fantastic meal out! Thank you to Omar & excellent staff. We will surely visit the other daily catch location at north end as well.

Yelp
Awesome! Last meal in Boston before headed home and this was a winner. We ordered the Oglio Aglio and Fra diavolo. For me, the squid ink pasta was the winner but they were both great. Fra Diavolo could be spicer, but I get not everybody loves that. Pro tip: waterfront location take resy's and it's as amazing. The Fra Diavolo for 1 is enough for 2.

Yelp
My friends and I came to The Daily Catch today as walk-ins without a reservation. We were seated outside within 5 minutes as there was no available indoor seating. The outdoor space was very cozy with some heating provided. We were immediately greeted by our server and were given time to peruse the menu. My friends and I decided to get a round of mocktails and a beer to pair with our entrees. I ordered the black pasta Alfredo with added scallops. The added scallops were a little pricey as the restaurant gave me 4 small pieces for an extra $10. However, the pasta itself was so delicious and well made! The cream sauce was a little heavy with the pasta, but overall delicious. Highly recommend for a night out with your friends!

Yelp
We came to celebrate a friend's birthday pre-ragnar race as a group of 7 and the pastas and seafood were fresh and tasty. We ordered all theee types of the squid inj pasta, seafood platters and lobsters. The food was satisfying and just what I expect from Boston

Yelp
We have very mixed feelings after our visit - We really wanted to love dining here, based on the amazing menu, pics we saw online from those who dined here before, and it's a combo of fresh seafood and Italian - But unfortunately, our visit wasn't that great. First, we got there, sat down and wanted to order wine to enjoy while reviewing the menu, but we waited 10 mins with no one to check in/great us, so when I saw a manager nearby I asked him for some assistance and then our server appeared a minute later. He was very friendly, not sure what happened in the beginning, but we overlooked that as we proceeded with dinner. We started with their shrimp scampi and wow, that was the blandest shrimp scampi we've ever had! We had to add salt to get some sot of flavor from it, but it hardly had the flavors that make it a loveable dish - such as garlic and lemon... We didn't taste these at all and for the price, it wasn't very appetizing looking and flavorless - Definitely wouldn't recommend. The entrées we ordered were their swordfish for her and I got their linguine with scallops, shrimp, and broccoli. My linguine dish was very bland as well... not sure what was going on here, but no garlic, no seasonings at all, and I asked for their diavolo sauce and what I got had no heat either. Wife's sowrfish was totally raw inside. We showed this to the server and he told us it looked like that because this is the season where they get "orange swordfish" but what we were showing was a very obviously piece of raw fish. He took it back and brought it back to us about 15 mins later cooked to a greater temperature. He agreed that once he got it in the kitchen, he noticed it was raw. But you NEVER HEAT AND RESERVE a food item touched by the customer - that's gross. As a result, she barely picked at it and it was simply wasted. Poor service! When someone sends back raw food which they've already cut into, time to toss it and serve a new one - especially when it's the kitchen's fault. Talk about cross contamination. Anyway - we had a very lackluster visit, which was sad, as we expected to much more from this visit. We love Boston and will be back to visit one of the amazingly incredible restaurants that are there, but this won't be on our list.

Yelp
The Daily Catch is a Boston institution, and this Waterfront location is a great way to experience their famous cuisine without waiting in long lines! They take reservations here, and they have nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. Whenever I have friends visiting Boston, I recommend the Daily Catch to them. It's a uniquely Boston experience, with food that you really can't find at any other restaurant. I always go for one of their pastas served in the frying pan. Typically I'll opt for their signature dish, the black pasta aglio olio. It's got ground calamari and has been called the "white bolognese." You really can't find it anywhere else. Don't miss their littlenecks Siciliano to start, served up in a flavorful fennel and white wine broth. Perfect for sopping up with some of their fresh Italian bread! Whether you're visiting Boston or live down the street, I can't recommend The Daily Catch enough!

Yelp
Dinner for my work crew while up in Boston. It was busy but the four of us got seats at the bar and were well taken care of by the bartenders. Great craft draft selection, outstanding menu and specials. I had the Monkfish Marsala over siding pasta. It was absolutely outstanding. Others in my group had the mussels marinara and fish and chips. A few appetizers of shrimp scampi and crab cakes. Everyone loved their meals. By the time we left around 7:30 it was packed. Great food, good atmosphere and great service. All the boxes checked.
google avatar

Parker B.

Yelp
A great atmosphere coupled with fantastic seafood is what makes this roomier version of their North End spot so wonderful. We came here on a whim for a date night and sat at the bar! Our service was spectacular, very informative, and attentive. We got oysters, a few drinks, squid ink pasta, and swordfish and loved all of it. Their food is certainly rich, but it's well cooked and lets the seafood speak for itself in flavor. Overall - we'll be back here again ! Loved it!

Yelp
Great service and food. Get the lobster special, the dish hit all the right notes. Right on the water with Great views.

Yelp
This location is right by the harbor with both indoor and outdoor seating. They take reservations have more seating than the Hanover street location. We tried the raw bar sampler and the oysters and little necks were great. Their black pasta is a must try. The fried seafood was good but not that special
google avatar

Luciano M.

Yelp
I understand a 20 % gratuity on parties of 6 or more, I don't have a problem with it. Unfortunately this can and did lead to poor service from our server, who basically just took orders as there are food runners and busers. When a server does decide to clear a drink they usually ask if you're done and would you like another? Not the case with our server who swooped in took my drink and left. I tried to get her attention but damn she was fast. I did eventually get her to bring my drink back from the bar but she copped an attitude and kept it, and brought me a fresh one after apparently complaining about me to the bar staff. Better training of servers is recommended at this location.
google avatar

Daniella M.

Yelp
If you love seafood this is a must. I was equally impressed by every dish we tried. The restaurant is intimate with low lighting a very nice vibe for date night. Our waiter was amazing! He gave us food recommendations and was so friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back! The aglio e olio pasta is as great as everyone says! The baked halibut is also chefs kiss.

Yelp
Tried going to a restaurant across the street but the wait was an hour so we walked in here instead because there didn't seem to be a wait. It wasn't empty but we also were seated right away so it could have gone either way at that point. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. We ordered the grilled calamari since this place seemed popular for calamari, it did not disappoint. It was nice and tasty, not too chewy. Good portion for an app. Then individually we ordered the fish and chips and mussels marinara. The food was tasty and filling, not the absolute best we've ever eaten but it satisfied us and we were happy. It's definitely a bit on the pricier side for a casual meal. The total of those three dishes plus a gin and tonic came out to $98 before tip. But no regrets, it hit the spot.
google avatar

Emi H.

Yelp
Save yourself from disappointment and walk 0.2 miles to the North End location. Although this location is far more spacious with an outdoor patio area, I think the food is better at the original North End location. I got my favorite dish which was the Aglio Olio. They didn't offer half sizes like they do at the North End location so I got the full size ($29.50). It came out quickly, but it was underwhelming. The pasta was cooked well, but the calamari was under-cooked and not crispy. Most importantly, the overall dish didn't have the strong garlicky flavors that I'd obsess over every time I'd have this dish. I'd definitely go back to the original location next time. It's small but I'd choose better food over ambiance any day.

Bunny F.

Yelp
Fantastic food! The pastas were freshly made and cooked to perfection! Will definitely be our go-to whenever we visit Boston.

Yelp
The food was great and there was no wait! Beautiful covered patio and friendly staff.

Brittany R.

Yelp
We were a party of 5, which means they include 20% gratuity. No issue with that I understand but this usually leads to poor service which it did. We had 6:45pm reservations and didn't leave until after 9pm because our food took over 40 minutes to come out. The restaurant was busy when we first got there but it emptied out rather quick before we even got our food. Waitstaff wasn't very attentive and any time we needed more water or a new beverage she wasn't to be found. We had clams casino and fried calamari for appetizers which were delicious. We each had a pasta with seafood dish which was ok, but was heavy on the butter and garlic. Outdoor patio is so nice and cozy with the heaters so would recommend sitting outside!
google avatar

Carmen T.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite meals ever! Visiting from Philly to Boston, so I spent a lot of time researching where to go before I landed on The Daily Catch. Reservations needed and they had outside and inside seating. We sat inside and it was the perfect vibe for a birthday dinner. Our server PJ was great! He had lots of recommendations and was patient if we had any questions even though the restaurant was super busy. The oysters were my favorite appetizer, the calamari meatballs were a little different but the sauce that came with it was the best thing ever for dipping your bread in. Would recommend visiting the waterfront location!!

Yelp
Delicious seafood experience! We were able to reserve a table for lunch. We are big seafood lovers, so this place was perfect. My wife and I loved the calamari, very crispy and perfectly seasoned! The clams and lobster was delicous! All the seafood was fresh, I would love to come back again once I'm in Boston!

Yelp
Not to be confused with the daily catch on Hanover. This place is a gem. The two lady bartenders gave us some history on the establishment as well as the family. They were the awesome Has the pistachio martini (minus the gelato because I didn't want it to be too rich) food was fresh and had more of a modern flair than other places in the north end. Please get the tomato salad. You will not be disappointed. Sad I didn't find this place sooner. Also had the halibut. Very mild and delicious.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 5 with a reservation at opening. It took another 25min to get seated. Upon being seated, waiter was hard to flag down and get us waters. The food is phenomenal, but sadly the service is very slow. I will say, I was very happy with all the food I had. It tasted delicious and probably some of the best seafood pasta I've had! My complements to the chef! Service could use help.

Yelp
i feel qualified as a MA native to speak on seafood. this is the deal with the daily catch: the prices are high but the portions are decently big. a little shocked that they didn't offer bread or anything to snack on since it seems like it would be the type of joint. meatball was OK, have had better elsewhere. calamari was good enough. pasta was the best of the meal. it isn't wow-worthy but it's pretty good, but kind of dime-a-dozen vibe here in MA- best to bring your older family members that are visiting boston or those that want a legal seafood experience without the frills that come with a chain.

Yelp
Definitely the best meal we had in Boston! The service was exceptional, and the food was even better! The Aglio Olio black pasta was one of the best meals I've ever had. They also have a beautiful patio where I definitely recommend sitting if weather permits!

Yelp
Pretty delicious pasta with seafood. Happy they let you craft your type of pasta a bit. Drinks were solid. Service was pretty decent. Ambiance was lively but a bit cramped. You do leave smelling like food a bit though too.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner on a Saturday early evening. We got reservations and the place wasn't completely full yet. Like another reviewer had mentioned, we waited at least 10 minutes to be greeted by a server after being seated. It was strange because it was obvious that we and at least another table had been waiting for awhile. The manager was there, but he was chatting with someone (instead of making sure patrons are taken care of??). Once the server finally came, things were relatively smooth and quick. We got the raw bar sampler, the lobster fra divalo pasta, and fish/chips. We all thought the food was just okay, nothing stunning. The taste of the seafood wasn't as fresh as other similarly priced seafood restaurants. However, what was very concerning was the freshness of the seafood. I got terrible food poisoning, probably from the raw sampler. Now it had been consistently freezing for a couple months (mid-february at the time), so I thought it was probably the safest time of the year to eat. Boy was I wrong! So I wonder about the safety practices (temperature wise or selling seafood that might be past peak freshness) and the sourcing of the seafood. Come to think of it, the waiter never mentioned where the seafood were sourced from, which is common practice in seafood restaurants. I don't recall anything about the seafood sources on the menu either. So my general impressions are that the sourcing of the seafood might not be as quality, local, or fresh as they appear (contrary to the name) and the overall service was nearly insulting. Weird vibes here all around. Would not come here again!

Yelp
Wanted some seafood but it was a Saturday around 6:30. We did not have a reservation anywhere and it was busy everywhere down by the water. We tried one other restaurant but it was a 2 hour wait. No way. We came upon this lovely place and the hostess sat us right away. It was busy but there was a table outside. The patio area was really pretty tho it could use some fans as there was no breeze and it was pretty warm. Other than that, it was nice. Our server was great though we had to ask him for water refills more than once. We ordered shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad and frutti di mare. The shrimp cocktail had huge shrimp and very fresh. The Caesar salad was a good size and they ask if you want anchovies added. For the frutti di mare, I chose the white sauce and it was nice and garlicky. It also had air of seafood. I hate when I get this dish and they skimp on the seafood but this restaurant did not do that. I would certainly say you should try this palace as the food was good.

Yelp
We were hunting for a nice spot on the harbor to eat but they all had extremely long wait times. But lucky for us because we got to have lunch at The Daily Catch. It is right across from the water and had better food than I have had at other spots nearby. We got the clam chowder to share. We were fighting over the black pepper biscuits in the chowder. I wish we had asked for an extra. I ordered the seafood sampler and it was an extraordinary value for the quality and variety. My mom ordered the clam pasta and she said it was the best she's had in years. There was no left over for me to try but I'll take her word for it. My dad ordered a salad that I can remember the name of but it was bright and fresh. Omar served us at the bar. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. We felt welcomed and cared for. Great spot and the quality of food is pretty unparalleled even with all of the options in Boston.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation but were still seated immediately. We waited for a long time for the food. It wasn't anything special. We ordered pastas and salads, and the bill came out to be more than dinner the previous night when we ordered lobster. Maybe they have to charge more for the location. I would not eat here, or in this area, again.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer for the restaurant for awhile before they relocated to waterfront in North End and one in Brookline. My last visit was probably 2016ish, around my college years. I still remember my friends and I had to wait in a line for at least 30 minutes (usually an hour), since they only had three small tables in the business. However, the experience was very different with the current setup where they have fairly large venue for eating in! Also, they are not anymore cash-only which helps with getting rid of need to carry the cash. My gf and her family decided to do family style dinner and we ordered bunch (black alfredo pasta, shrimp, scallops and broccoli pasta, pear/beet salad, clam chowder, masala, calamari and few drinks including white sangrias and aeropla cocktail) Thankfully, it just tasted like what I had a decade ago. The pasta was perfectly cooked and delicious, when the seafood tasted so fresh and great. My gf's mom said she had the best clam chowder ever and scallops in her past melted in her mouth. I wanted to subtract a star since it is way too expensive ($40 for a pasta and this would be even in high term and it's not even located in North End) but the taste of their dishes transcend all the price concerns for me. I will surely revisit next time!

Yelp
The daily catch was recommended to me by some food bloggers I follow.. yup we are in that day and age now. I was happy to try this place because I love both seafood and pasta .. and that is what the daily catch is all about. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Luckily we had a reservation for indoors as it was unusually hot outside. A reservation is definitely recommended as the place is small and fills up quickly. I ordered the squid ink pasta with crushed calamari, I believe it is called the oglio pasta. It was rich, garlic heavy, and served on a hot skillet. Yum! I wish there were bigger pieces of calamari but the small crushed pieces did ensure some calamari in every bite. We were served bread with our entrees rather than as a pre dinner snack. The bread was forgettable.. but it served its purpose for dipping. The restaurant was pretty warm inside. I wish it had been air conditioned but I think they just had fans. There were times when it was uncomfortably warm.
