The Daily Grill

Positive experience. Had to drive around the block for parking if I recall, or we missed the restaurant driveway or something. It didn't seem to be easy peasy (totally could have been US). We were seated right away (2ish pm on a Friday). Lots of things on the menu seemed appealing, and I would like to go back for dinner sometime. (I bet their steaks are good given the variety offered.) Old school vibe inside. White tablecloths. They had a patio I would have loved to enjoy, but it was super hot that day. Our server was pleasant and proactively brought water and soda refills, checked on us, etc. The warm sourdough bread and butter laid before us was so good we asked for seconds. I enjoyed the Western burger (whatever it's called there): bacon, cheese, fried onion strings, and (I think) BBQ sauce. Grilled brioche bun. Sweet potato fries were crispy and not overdone. Their ranch dressing for dipping was nummy, too. The Ceasar salad (with chicken) was a nice size, and there was a bit of lettuce still in the bowl when we were done because we couldn't eat it all. Croutons tasted homemade. We were tempted to order dessert but were so full from lunch there just wasn't room. The carrot cake and key lime pie caught my eye. Next time!

Our server Lisa was AMAZING!!! Food was delicious. Drinks were strong but not overwhelming. Had the Tres Tacos, Turkey Club, peanut slaw, Old Fashioned, Single Barrel Jack Daniels NEAT, espresso martini, Vodka sprite splash of cranberry. I’ll have to try more next time. Lisa checked on us regularly throughout our visit. She made suggestions based on our feedback. AMAZING. Clean restroom. Friendly & helpful staff!!! 5 Stars

I had a quick lunch meeting here. And I have to say, the food was great. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had the privacy to discuss work. I highly recommend the steak salad or the seared Ahi tuna salad! The sandwiches are also great. Male sure you give yourself time, though. The patio is closed during the summer, and it gets crowded inside.

First time here the food and service was great the, the tables seats were little tight not to much room to move your legs around, it a little uncomfortable other that that everything else was great. 8-10

Loved my meatloaf. The sides were very good too. The rest of our party loved their meals too. Complimentary warm sourdough bread was a nice touch too. I tried the lemonade and it was great. Our server Peter was awesome. Prices were very reasonable. Park in the back!

The Daily Grill is located at a perfect spot: at the beginning of El Paseo shopping district, which means you get both a great view of the street and a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff are very friendly and nice. And they ensure that your visit goes absolutely as well as it could. The restaurant offers a great variety of selections, from salads to burgers and other types of food. The food items we ordered were all wonderful; we were very satisfied. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would have, especially with the amazing service the staff offer. I strongly recommend this restaurant (and make sure to make a reservation beforehand!).

Been here a few times and today was just as consistent as past visits. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Menu was packed with great options for a nice-casual lunch. Loved the variety of smart and healthy food choices available. Our meals were presented beautifully and the price was pretty much what it should be for such a high level of quality and location. Well done!

I was surprised by the quality of the food. Everything was well prepared, nicely presented and very tasty. This place is going into rotation. A REAL SURPRISE - I ordered the crabcake appetizer - It was much better than Eddie V's across the street. Give this place a try.

This spot is far from amazing when it comes to the taste and quality of the food. It wasn't terrible but let's just say I definitely won't be back. The taste was very lack luster and needed salt for real. I think the place should be better for the simple fact of its location. It's on El Paseo and it belongs on Highway 111 or down in Cathedral City. It did not live up to its name or its location. We came as a big group and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the service was somewhat decent and they were accommodating to our party. I do feel that the service could have been better but let's be honest I don't think it usually caters to certain people so I'll leave that for what it is. Next time we will go somewhere that has better food and better ambiance.

We had a wonderful experience tonight at the Daily Grill. Our server was Tracey and she was the highlight of the entire experience! She has a smile that lights up the room and customer service that any restaurant owner would be proud to have with any of their team members. We had the beef short rib over risotto and the lemon arugula salad with blackened prawns added. Both dishes were above excellent. The meals came out fast and were delicious. I can't say enough great things about the experience. How did we not know about this restaurant sooner? We will visit every time we come to the Palm Desert area. My husband and I highly recommend it and be sure to ask for Tracey!

Came in for dinner- it was busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Chop House Cheeseburger which is a classic cheeseburger with fries. They have lots of different items to choose from- there's something for everyone on there. Parking- parking lot behind the building

Look, it's Daily Grill. You're going to get what you came for - the perfect comfort meal. Service is high quality, perfectly executed type service. Leather booth feel and seating is great; patio out front is nice anytime of the year. Make reservations. What do I come for? Chicken Pot Pie.

Daily Grill is a dream of a restaurant. I fell in love with this restaurant and am adding this spot on my regular rotation. Eating here is like dining in NY. The booths with the cute little table lamps, the glitz and glamor old time celebrity artwork, and the dark wood and style does give it that good old New York feel. It's hard to put on paper but go and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. This restaurant is casual and bustling. It's very popular here but thankfully they have a lot of indoor seating and a few side and front outdoor seats/tables. I'd recommend dining inside to get the whole vibe though. The bar was crowded and loud, looked like a cool old timey business man's bar. Service was wonderful. The gentlemen that waited our table was an OG of the restaurant as he noted he worked here for a long time. Middle aged Hispanic man, I'm sorry I forgot his name because his service, friendliness, and attention to detail was everything! When I go back next time I'll look out for him so I can update his name to this review. Anyways, the staff here hustle. Food was coming and going. The booth I sat at was a ways from the kitchen but there was an open door so I could see what was going on in the kitchen, it was pretty cool and they had plenty of staff running around. Service was 5/5 stars for sure. Aside from the atmosphere and service being amazing I'll be dreaming about this meal. It was the perfect combination of an appetizer, soup and salad. Definitely ordered too much but it was all so good, no regrets! Popcorn shrimp 5/5: get this! They are lightly breaded but crunchy and oh so delicious. Pretty generous portion size of shrimp, no filler veggies or anything which I appreciated. I loved that the cocktail sauce had a big horseradish / spice kick to it and the aioli was tasty. Normally I'd pick a creamy sauce over cocktail sauce any day, but not here, that cocktail sauce was bomb. Wedge salad: 5/5. The perfect wedge done right. Extra crispy bacon, loaded with dressing and blue cheese crumbles, what's not to love. Just a great salad and main. Gazpacho Soup: 4.5/5. I only docked 1/2 a star as I wish it had shrimp. Love gazpacho with shrimp but for a vegetarian soup dish this was exceptional. Super flavorful and refreshing. It was so good and done right. Places need more vegetarian dishes, so I'm happy they have this option. My only recommendation is they keep the gazpacho on their permanent menu like they used to do back in the day. When I came in they were showcasing a "throwback" menu in which the gazpacho was on it. I worry once that menu goes away it won't be a dish you can get. Hopefully daily grill receives enough feedback to keep it because I saw a lot of people order it and it's not a dish you can get everywhere. Until then, rush to go try it before it's gone! My experience at the daily grill was lovely and it's such a great all around restaurant. No complaints and I'll be back as soon as I can because this was a dream simple meal.

The Daily Grill is like an old shoe to the four of us. We come to the Desert annually for a week long of golf. More often than not we make a point of coming here. Last week our 19th hole was here for lunch. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose indoors. Our server was Tracey. She was quick moving. Very personable. Turns out she's worked there 26 years. The menu has slightly changed since we first started coming here. No more calf liver and onions. Wish they would reintroduce it. Ordered- * both hubby & I got the grilled skirt steak. Cooked to order. A definite must order. Choice of two sides. I went with roasted peanuts coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Hubby went with grilled asparagus and slaw. * sis & BIL both ordered pasta entrees. Generous portion size. Endless refills of my Arnold Palmer. Once again a great meal. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant.

The food here is okay, not the best, but not terrible either. Located on the main road in Palm Desert, The Daily Grill is a good spot to dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service was good and the waitress was attentive. The spot is fairly large and has some street side outdoor dining as well.

I went with two friends on a Sunday for lunchtime. They serve brunch until 3p on Sundays, which a nice long time to have options for food. We made a reservation, but luckily it wasn't as crowded as we thought it would be. We sat outside and were glad there were heaters, since the patio doesn't get sun until late afternoon. Our waitress was nice, the only thing was that since it was slower, we didn't see the wait staff as often as we would have liked. Which can be good to enjoy food and relax, but it was kinda hard to flag someone down when we would like to ask for something. The spinach artichoke dip is amazing, so is the bread that comes with it. My friend got the blackberry brioche French toast that was super tasty. I am glad they have impossible patties since I am vegetarian. This is a fun spot to come to for a fun afternoon on El Paseo!

Confirmed my order on Postmates, and when the driver arrived they told him that my item was longer available. Wasted of almost 40 minutes of my time, and now most restaurants are closed. I will never return

Let me start this by saying we didn't plan on coming here. We actually stopped across the street to dine at kitchen 86, but after half an hour of waiting to for someone to acknowledge our existence we stood up and left. Thank goodness for the amazing staff at Daily grill who greeted us and were extremely attentive. Damien, you were the mvp of saving our evening! Now on to the important stuff. The night air was crisp and chilly but space heaters covered that (again our server was going above and beyond by adjusting the heat for us). The relaxed vibe was perfect for having a conversation and not having to yell over any music. I must admit I had very low expectations when it came to food as I was willing to take anything at that point just based off of the great service we were receiving. But OH MAH GAWD it was good. Popcorn shrimp..... lightly battered, seasoned, and perfectly fried!!! Shrimp chicken pasta was Smokey and so full of flavor that we took the bread and wiped up the last drops of sauce to enjoy. Mahi mahi with risotto (a seasonal special item) buttery, lemony, tasty, hold on while I take another bite amazing! Finishing with this apple cobbler with a massive scoop of vanilla.... The way this food had us in a chokehold. It has been a while since we have gone out and had NOTHING negative to say about our dinner. Atmosphere - Food - Service!!!! If I had anything "bad" to say.... I would say.... I wish we had just come here first and not wasted our time on anywhere else. Thank you Daily Grill team for an incredible meal. Absolutely zero food regrets here!

A far cry from the DG I remember of past decades. Although it may look the part aesthetically, the quality control and service were not great at our recent visit in June. 3 stars for still having many of your staple dishes.

We travel to PD a couple times a year and make this a regular dinner stop! Had amazing Mahi Mahi-wow! So good.

The food was amazing, five star service, been going For over 30 years. Hate to say the restaurant has gotten a little run down. Old run down seats just needs a refresh but I will still send my friends to this place

Always great! The food is tasty, the portions are large, and the service is excellent every time. The prices are a little bit above average but not enough to keep me away.

Another great meal at the Daily Grill. Had the Cobb Salad and asked them to split it and put half in a box with some dressing on the side to take home and the other half tossed and served at the table. They did it exactly as I requested, and it was very good. Sourdough bread on the side was excellent as usual. Iced tea was refilled aplenty. The server, Milton was excellent.

Had early lunch today at the bar, our bartender Damian, was great. Very knowledgeable with wine selection & the menu. And they are open at 10:30 am this summer. We will be back, highly recommend.

An impressive menu with a great selection of fresh foods. We tried the crab cake blt and the ahi tuna wrap, both of which were delicious, as was the Caesar salad and Lobster bisque. Great Bloody Mary as well. Our server, Maria was a delight. Great seating options and ambiance. Highly recommend for lunch, brunch or dinner!

This used to be a 5-star review. It's been over a year since I had their pot pie, which back then was THE BEST!!!!! I'm not sure what happened, but it's NOTHING like the old recipe. Please return to the old recipe. What I had tonight was not up to standard.

The food was delicious and the service went the extra mile! We dined outdoors and the vibe was very cozy. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

We were about to leave when they found a table for us. Oh so glad we had stayed!! Both the food and the service were awesome!! Be aware, the large sized chicken pot pie is LARGE !! The Blackened shrimp salad had no shortage of flavors!! The Risotto was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Loaded Mac and Cheese had gobs of bacon and creamy cheese on pasta that was not mushy, but be warned when it first lands on your table you will notice that one of the many cheeses in it is a stinky cheese. After you acclimate to the aroma it's game on for gobbling it up!! Pricey but excellent value for portion sizes and quality of service.

Delicious food, excellent service and prime location near tons of shopping! Daily Grill is a reliable option no matter where you go. Food: I ordered the Grilled Skirt Stead Salad. The salad ingredients were fresh and served with a generous portion of steak. If you are looking for a healthy and filling dish, then order the Grilled Skirt Steak Salad. Service: The manager at the time (last visited in November 2023), Paula, was very attentive to all customers upon entrance and was training new staff when I walked in. Paula was focused on ensuring the staff understood the importance of making sure guests were greeted and communicated with upon entrance. Lily was our server, and was pleasant, friendly, smart, and ensured a wonderful experience. Parking: Plenty of free street parking. I highly recommend Daily Grill, and appreciate Paula and Lily for ensuring a great dining experience!

Had not been back for a long time ... now we know what we were missing.... They nailed it and our waiter Cody was a delight and very attentive... we requested a quiet corner due to some heating issues in our group and we got it...food all around was excellent and plentiful... we definitely will not take as long to get back again

The Daily Grill is our favorite little spot out on El Paseo. We love that the air conditioning is always VERY cold which is necessary when you're stepping in from 120° weather! The menu and cocktail options are vast and seasonal favorites are always beautifully crafted. Our FAVORITE server is Cody... he's waited on us the past 3-times we've dined here and today I thought it necessary and appropriate to share what a great job he's doing! Cody will tell you his favorite dish is the skirt steak and we would agree! If you've not been... give them a go. It's a casual spot where you don't have to worry about being underdressed or perhaps dinning with kids. Ask for Cody... he's a gem, today he ran us down in the parking lot after my husband forgot his baseball hat! Cheers!

It has all of the above. Great Food, great service and great ambiance. The food selections are always good with excellent portions. Their wedge salad with blue cheese is delicious as well as Short ribs ,meat loaf and prime rib. Prices are right on. You cannot go wrong with Daily Grille. i wish that they still served Brick oven roasted chicken.

Everything about the daily grill is amazing! From the food to the service to the ambiance! HIGHLY recommend it! And we'll be back when we are in Palm Desert!

We finally got around to trying this place, and I'm very impressed. The food is good (thanks for using seasoning) and outstanding service. I've had the trout and prime rib, both yummy. this is one of my favorite go to places. The ambiance is casual and comfortable but nice.

This was a regular when we lived in Palm Desert and we go back every time we visit. Food, cocktails, and service are always great.its nice to sit outside when weather is nice to watch people go by.

I love THE DAILY GRILL and I think my review was more about GtubHub than The Daily Grill. My daughter even gave me a gift certificate for THE DAILY GRILL but, because I've recently had 2 more epidurals for spinal stenosis, etc., I haven't been able to get there in person. My friend and I are planning to get back there soon. I always sit at the bar and it's a little like "CHEERS" .....not fancy but totally comfortable even when alone and when I'm there I've never had any complaints. It's only delivery via GrubHub that I've had a problem. It's not Il Corso but still one of my favorite restaurant/bars. The bar tenders are always great and I honestly I have no complaints other than the order from GrubHub.

We came for dinner last night. Cynthia gave us excellent service even when we needed to change tables. She helped recommend our meals and everyone was super happy with theirs. Our table had spicy pasta, blackened shrimp, Chicken pot pie and the salmon. We will definitely be back! Ambiance is old English pub vibe. Noise level was on the quieter side. We did notice the amazing fish &chips they were serving next to us. Gonna come back for those. The only reason for the 4 stars is they need to have larger more roomy booths. Our guys could not get comfortable in those small ones and the seat on ours kept coming loose. We changed to a table so everyone was comfortable.

Excellent customer service and attention. Praise to Dennis the bartender/server. This is my second visit here. I sat in the bar area and was greeted immediately by the bartender. I sat beside a wonderful couple and started a conversation and found a common friend. The food was delicious, prompt and timely considering they were very busy. I highly recommend this place.

We had a great time! The service was amazing, and the food was fantastic. I ordered the chicken pot pie, and it was one of the best pot pies I've ever had. My 5-month-old son wanted to dig in!

Meet up with another couple in Palm Desert and they took us to one off their favorites restaurants in town. We pulled up to the Daily Grill plenty of parking in front and rear. We sat outside on the sidewalk, was able to do a little people watching. I started with a cream of broccoli soup which was great. And for my main meal, I had fish & Chips which was amazing even the coleslaw was great! Service was awesome as well as the ambience. Will definitely be coming back.

3.8 stars is exactly what I would give it just as yelp says. The service and atmosphere is really nice and it's cold great For the palm dessert location. They were really busy on a Monday night as well when we left at 6:45. Anyway I would highly recommend the chicken pop pie. This is the large size for $24 . It was huge with great crust and giant pieces of tasty chicken inside. The San dabs with the sides and cobbler were just ok though. We will be back for the pop pie and to try other things on the menu. Monday nights they have lobster pop pie on a special. I may want to see someone else's review before I try that.

Came here for lunch, for the first time. The service was really good, they were very quick and constantly refilled our drinks. The food was not bad, I got the chicken piccata, which came with angel hair pasta. Serving size was decent, I would've liked a little more sauce on the pasta personally but otherwise it was very yummy. the ambience was cute, the outdoor seating area is adorable, perfect for days where it's not too hot. Definitely would come again.

I've been a regular of this chain for 20+ years, and they never disappoint. In fact, I've been to this location numerous times as well. Ally (Alexandria) was our server at both 22. She was delightful and engaged in attending to us. Food was great. Drinks were great. Reception/hostesses were great. We'll be back!

I've been coming here for many, many years! I was in for Mother's Day.. although not mothers (my friend and I) the DG team made us feel the love! Great service, food was perfect... my classic go-to when in doubt and trying to figure out where to dine! Family, friends or solo, DG is great to enjoy a meal solo or with company! Also, when sitting on the patio- best people watching on El Paseo, a fashion show before your eyes!

We've been going to Daily Grill for years. Always enjoy the wonderful menu choices, and atmosphere. Great location on El Paseo. I have everything from Sand Dabs, Idaho Trout, and the pot pie . Wow! The larger pot pie is a leviathan. We ordered the small pot pie yesterday and it was fantastic.

The food is fabulous and the service by Vicki couldnt be better! A great place to go for sure!

Nice place to stop for happy hour but get there early, it's crowded. The bartender was friendly and quick to take and fill orders. It's a nice, clean place and we met a really nice couple at the bar. I have to mention the amazing ahi tuna appetizer on the happy hour menu because it was amazing, amazing! I would have returned but we ran out of days. We will be back some day, I hope!

The chicken sandwich is soooooo delicious!! The prime rib is amazing!! The employees are so nice. I've had some very enjoyable dining experiences here!

This was my first time here. It is a casual restaurant with a separate bar area. Even being seated in the bar area, the wait staff was very attentive. I started with a house salad, which was very fresh. Then I orde4ed the chicken pot pie, which I understand is how they started their business. I had the small one, and it was plenty big enough. Then, I followed it up with their blueberry cheesecake, which is really light and creamy.

Consistency is the name of their game when it comes to the food. Service is adequate and friendly. Ambiance is nice but could use a face lift.

Had dinner here while Visiting Palm Springs. The service was good- friendly and efficient and gave great recs for ordering. We sat outside which was lovely - lots of activity on the street. The food was good and the portions were large. Nice place for a meal for sure.

Really like this place. We came for lunch mid week and it was quite busy. The staff was very pleasant, the atmosphere is upbeat and the food was good. Their portions are quite generous and the prices are reasonable. We ordered a salmon burger, chopped salad and a beef burger with fries. It was all delicious. I wish they offered a gluten free bun option. The location is nice at El Paseo with plenty of outdoor seating perfect for people watching while enjoying your meal. Parking was very easy to find and free

Daily Grill Meat loaf good, serving size ample, blackened shrimp good, but the service was extremely slow.

I love the Daily Grill! The food is always predictably good along with the service. The only drawback was 2 obnoxious kids going fisticuffs next to our table and their loser parents did nothing, until the staff said something.
