I have eaten at the Daily Grill for quite a few years, and they always have great meals and service. I have not been here for a couple years, but my recent visit was not the best - starting with the service. The greeter was not friendly, an neither was the server. They served my food without utensils. The food was horrible - the wings tasted like it was cooked the day before, and warmed up before they served it to me. The fish and chips - the fries weren’t bad, but the batter on the fish was over cooked and dried out. I did not dare try the coleslaw - it did not look fresh. I hope they improve, it was such a good spot to get great American fare!!

Big chicken pot pie I shared with my wife. Very hot and fresh. Good taste. Had a nice pour on my double. Reasonable prices. Kids meal have drink and dessert for $10. Nicole, our waitress, made the difference between 4 and 5 stars! Great service Nicole. Thank you.

Nice restaurant, the waiter was great, but the kitchen was slow. There weren't many customers so the long wait to get our order was frustrating. I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was delish! I ordered a small and it was still big.

The Daily Grill was a random find- we were trying to find open brunch/lunch spots open in the DC area on a Sunday. It was a challenge but when we stumbled upon this spot, we were pleasantly surprised! Service was quick, food was delicious- I had the clam chowder and chicken pot pie! Really good! There was a great selection of hot teas to choose from. I recommend if you’re staying at the hotels in the area.

A very relaxed lunch with a delicious Turkey Club Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries ($17). Probably not the best bet for a quick lunch, but I was very happy not to be rushed.

Ate here a few times over a 6 day stay as it was between my hotel and the place I was visiting for work. Consistently good food and friendly staff. Went during rush hours and got quick service. We took the staffs recommendations on what to order and weren’t disappointed once. The Raspberry Beret drink was a favorite that also got ordered many times!

Laughably bad. Waiter told us it was illegal to serve mimosas before 11am in DC. A quick Google search proved that to be totally inaccurate. The only other guests in the restaurant got up and walked out moments before us leaving a total of 0 guests remaining and it seemed to be a relief to the staff. Not to mention the super limited yet pricey menu, only drip coffee no espresso... basically McDonald's quality at bistro prices.

The gentleman that showed us to the table had to Wipe crumbs off the table before we sat down (that should have been the first clue of what was to come). The waiter seemed to be in a rush and didn’t offer water, just beer (which was good). Food was extremely horrible! The fish and Chips was cold and soggy. The batter was still raw and the fries were cold (probably re-fried old Fries). The salad was obviously prepared 4 days ago. The waiter did not offer a doggy bag for my friend and took long to clear our plates. And it was empty. And there’s a tendency for staff to keep dropping things al over the place I noticed! I hate that we have to tip for a service that we never get.
