Came in on a Sunday morning to very little traffic and had a great cinnamon roll with an oat milk chai latte. The cinnamon roll had the proper, heightened level of sweetness, was soft and chewy, and was slightly warm. Perfect. Chai latte was also perfectly sweetened and stayed warm for quite a while after leaving. Staff were quite nice so I appreciated that. Would love to return on a future visit.

Google
Great little coffee place in the Jung/Sonder Hotel. Our barista this morning was very fast and efficient. I really wishbi remembered her name! It was very busy this morning and she was able to run the entire show by herself. Great service ! The Americanos are also very good.

Google
I would give this place an extra stars for the great decorations and for the location. It has a nice view on Canal street and very close for Tulane students. The staff is super helpful, especially Ben who took my order. The cafe serves mainly coffees, smoothies and sandwiches but it also has other products.

Google
Highly do not recommend. They only have one person working at any time and I feel for that person. They are taking orders, making food, charging customers, making coffees, getting milk. I waited 28 mins for a cold brew and there were 11 people in front of me on a Saturday morning.

Fifi Hyder

Google
Better than that international brand. I never go to any coffee shop that's franchised. This place is awesome!!

Google
You can grab there some nice and delicious coffee for the perfect start. They offer hot and cold coffee drinks and some food options as well. I went for a small Espresso and it was really good decision and the best was the reasonable price. They have a special house blend coffee which has a good and intensive taste. The barista did a good job and the cream of the espresso was perfect and smooth. The single shot comes for 2 USD, the double shot for 3 USD. That was the first time, that I saw a Espresso in New Orleans for only 2 USD.

Google
Service is good, Coffee is Really Good, but the food is horrible and really over priced. It's all frozen 😝. They microwave it or put it in a toaster and burn it. They should just order food from another restaurant daily, at least it would be fresh

Google
I want this place to be great (it's very close to where I live and work) but I've tried several times and it's average at best. They only have 1 person working, even at the busiest times of day - this morning, I was the third person in line and it was 19 minutes from the time I stepped in the door until I left with my coffee and pastry. The pastries and breakfast sandwiches are good but not great. They heat the pastries without asking and in my opinion overheat them. They are refrigerated but I prefer a cool chocolate croissant to having hot lava in my mouth. The coffee is very good as long as you have enough time to wait for it.

Yelp
This was a solid cafe option. It's connected to the hotel next door. They have an expansive menu with many breakfast options. -The decor is simple, but there are a variety of seating options that allow you to hang out for a while if you need to. GLOWS: -Ice coffee was decent. They have many different syrup options with sugar-free options as well. -There was only one person working most times. When a rush came through, the person was efficient but it was a lot to have on one person.

Yelp
I work nearby so it's convenient to come here, and I love the baristas! Aubrey and Anya always remember me AND my order. Tulane gets 10% off which is a plus. I like the sausage egg and cheese biscuit here. All of the pastries look delicious and they even have donuts! Enter through the entrance in the Jung hotel or on Canal Street. A decent amount of seating plus free Wifi!! I recommend this place to anyone who works nearby. I would not recommend this place for tourist. I would probably go somewhere else, but if you were staying nearby, it could be a convenient! They close early - 2pm.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Grabbed a latte to go. Prices on par with a sbux. Was average coffee to me. The barista was there alone and working the register too. Wait wasn't that bad once she took my order since only one person was ahead of me but didn't end up going back again during my trip. They do offer a discount for students.

Yelp
Great look for coffee shop in and out in just a few minutes. I love their carrot zucchini muffin usually sells out by noon. I have yet to have them explain to me why they don't just bake more because they have lots of other muffins. Still there deli items are also very good and very fresh.

Yelp
Since we were staying at the Jung Hotel, we wanted to find a local coffee shop but there wasn't a ton in our area (showing up on our map) except for The Daily Ground which turns out was attached to our hotel. The first morning we can to stop by but the place was packed and filled with smoke so we decided to just leave to head down to Dooky Chase. The following day we came down again and for whatever reason it was smokey again like they burned somebody else's order. Thankfully there wasn't a huge lineup and I ordered a couple of coffees. Ended up pouring some cream into the coffees and grabbed sugar and sweeteners for others. The staff were OK. The space is pretty large and has a lot of seating. If you don't want to sit here, there's quite a bit of seating inside the hotel as well. The coffee isn't that great, would probably get it from somewhere else. I can't speak on the food or specialty drinks. However I saw a Tulane employee discount and that sounds awesome!

Yelp
This is the worst place I have ever stopped for coffee! I got a caramel iced coffee with regular milk and it tasted AWFUL. I don't usually toss beverages I don't like... I just suffer through it because I hate wasting things I paid for but I tossed that coffee full into the trash can. Horrible coffee with cheap fake caramel taste. Also the service is terrible. There's only one person working and they stay in the back so it takes FOREVER to get them to the counter and even notice you're there. I get not wanting to stand at an empty counter the whole time but at least put a bell on the counter so when a new customer comes in they can ring you.... It seems this place is near Tulane so a lot of broke college kids are coming here for coffee and to work but this is horrible even for college kids. I only came because unfortunately it was the only food/drink location inside the hotel I was staying in (Jung Hotel). The one reason I gave the place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the ham & cheese croissant was delicious!
google avatar

Adam J.

Yelp
to be fair, the area doesn't have a lot of coffee options that are near the Jung or Town Plaza. However, this was awesome. food was fresh and served quickly. My iced mocha was delicious as well. My friends and I were greatly satisfied.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best chai lattes I've had in a while! And as a bonus, they have oat milk! Not all coffee places have oat milk, so I'm always appreciative when they have a great selection of dairy alternatives. They also have a pastry case and snacks, but we did not get a chance to try them. Staff is nice and friendly, drinks are fairly priced, and there is plenty of seating and places to work, if you are looking to set up in a coffee store and work! In CA, drinks can be upwards of $4+ dollars for simple lattes with no dairy alternatives, so I always appreciate a quality drink with a great price. :) In addition, it's close to a bunch of cool spots and a short walk to the French Quarter and the river or Harrah's. We definitely got our steps in and it was so nice to walk around NOLA with a fresh latte. Definitely stop by here and give these nice folks a visit! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Went here to grab some quick coffee and breakfast by our hotel and it was great! Lots of food options and the coffee was fast and delicious. Lots of comfortable seating as well.

Yelp
The perfect Iced Chai Tea Latte with Oat Milk! I had many in the 5 days visiting NOLA, The Daily Grind was the best by far! Also loved my Spinach Quiche, so delicious!

Yelp
Good coffee and right next to Tulane. If you're an employee, make sure you bring your ID to get 10% off
google avatar

Yelp
$3.84 for a cup of coffee, which is $1 more than Starbucks. No skim milk. No 2%. Only whole milk. Went here once but won't be back.

Yelp
If you're in a rush and need a quick bite to go this is the place. I would say the place is average with food. The biscuit was soft which was the redeeming part of the meal. It was like a microwaves egg and sausage biscuit. Would of liked some green like avocado, spinach, or tomato to add some texture and color to sandwich. My fiance got a whites egg, sausage and cheese on english muffin which he didn't seem to like that much. I got a fruit tart as a dessert. The fruit was fresh and good. But the custard part of it had a lot of pieces of clear gelatin that wasn't very appetizing looking. I would return for coffee or tea but not for food there.

Yelp
This was a gem of a place that we stumbled upon during Mardi Gras "Fat Tuesday" - we were so excited this place was open ok Canal Street! It's a cool place and so clean! The coffee, cocoa and variety of drinks were good - even the beer! The fruit tart was so good! You can't go wrong with a flaky crust, the creamy custard and fresh fruit topping is a tasty delight in your mouth! Even the homemade chocolate chip cookie was soft, moist and mouth-watering delicious! I must say even the gender neutral restrooms were clean too! Someone was always there constantly cleaning around the shop so that was impressive! You do need to ask the staff for the key, I'm sure they do this for traffic control and to reserve the restroom for patrons only. I even like the bar height tables and seating stools because it looked like they were carved right out of trees and all the edges were sanded and smooth! I did enjoy this pleasant surprise!

Yelp
I was doing some work at the Jung Hotel over the course of two days, and I hit this coffee shop, located therein, 3 times. I like this place, even if the coffee is a bit pricey. I can't complain as I know why it's pricey: 1) It's a coffee shop located in a brand new hotel. 2) It's located on Canal street and the foot traffic is off the walls. The staff here is really great and they have all the fancy stuff as well as teas and I think they also have smoothies. Like any good coffee shop they have a nice variety of pastries and sandwiches and they have Abita Amber in their cold case, if you're looking to party. I got their iced coffee which was VERY good- it was nice and rich and it had a lot of flavor. The space is small, but there are plenty of tables if you want to work and the nice big windows give you a good view of the world passing by outside. If you're in the area this is a good place to stop for your caffeine fix.

Charlotte S.

Yelp
took forrverrrrrr for the girl to come out of the back, but she's a fast barista. Our drinks were out super quick and so was our food.

Rashid K.

Yelp
Decided to stop by since our hotel was right next door. Would've loved to have left an actual review but it wasn't possible. From the time we walked in we observed another couple walking out without anything in their hands. That should've been our first clue. The minute we walked in the lady behind the counter went to the back without a simple greeting or even a "I"ll be with you in minute." She walked to the back never to return. During the 15 minute wait, several other groups of customers came in as well and she remained in the back. Granted she might have been the only one in the store at the time, but the customer service (or lack thereof) was non-existent. We finally left without ordering or even being acknowledged as a customer.

Yelp
I really like this place. Quiet, nice background music, very spacious, huge streetview windows. Trolly stop right outfront, clean and they just dont sale coffe. But a small cute shelf with kings cake and coffe/tea for sale and of course for us tourist, The POSTCARDS. So while i sit for just a few moments, i quickly take it in. Then i get my spianch quiche, banana nut muffin and mocha coffee with milk and half and half (no calorie counting today) i thank my father for showing me favor. Im thankful to be able to enjoy this delicious spinach quiche, that is just enough greasy from the cheese and crust thst it kinda melts in your mouth. I probably should have them warm it for just 7 seconds longer, i like it hot and cheese bubbly. But it was still very deliciuos. My banana nut muffin was also very good. It was more like banana cake, which tends to be heavier, but im not complaining! This is how id want all my muffins to feel like. And of course the yummylicious coffe. If i just didn't give a nugget about my health id buy me a large instead of the medium before i leave. But let me dustract myself with the cool furniture pieces. Id have a few pieces if i could afford them! Great place! Forgot to mention the hard working Super Barista Thank you

Desiree M.

Yelp
Love how they serve coffee with baileys or other liqueurs! Breakfast sandwiches were okay- light on the bacon, baristas didn't let you know when it was ready let alone bring it to you. I'd say decent for a hotel coffee shop.
google avatar

Maddie G.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with excellent seating to sit and enjoy a cup with a friend or get some work done. I had a coconut latte from here one day and a white chocolate raspberry the next. Yum! The spinach quiche isnt much to brag about but the coffee is top notch.

Yelp
This coffee shop is located in a hotel lobby. The hotel I stayed in while in NOLA. The cold brew and nitro were tasty and the barista was friendly and sociable. It was also my birthday so my coffee was on the house! Even so, a small piece of King Cake and a Nitro ran me about $9, $10 with tip. Definitely a pricey spot.
google avatar

Kiki H.

Yelp
Great selection of coffee and other speciality drinks. Qualify very good. The nitro cold brew with added almond milk is my favorite. Their baked goods are also good. I tried the sausage egg and cheese biscuit and a blueberry muffin, and my husband had a quiche. We liked everything. Service is fast and friendly. There's plenty of comfortable seating and seating for working, too.

Yelp
Typical coffee attached to the hotel we were staying at ( The Jung). Good coffee pleasant servers. Good place to hang out while planning your day.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Every day we stopped in here while staying at the Jung. I couldn't start my day without an espresso and I don't know how I will go back to normal life! The espresso is smooth, I had a breakfast sandwich and it was good. There is also a variety of muffins quiche and yogurt parfaits. The staff is really nice, couldn't have asked for a better experience.
google avatar

Connor B.

Yelp
Went here because it's convenient for anyone staying in the hotel. It has a nice atmosphere but the comestibles are lacking. Mocha didn't have much flavor and the biscuit breakfast sandwich seemed like it was microwaved. The egg looked like a molded factory patty and the bacon was limp and soft like it was microwaved. If you just need a quick caffeine and go, this is fine. Otherwise, walk a bit farther to somewhere with better flavor.

Yelp
I had heard that they were in partnership with Abita Roasting Company which happens to be my favorite of the many great coffee options here, so I made a point to check this place out. Easily accessible by taking either of the Canal street cars towards the cemeteries or City Park and getting off at LaSalle. The Daily Grind is on the left side of the street about a half of a block further up towards the I-10 overpass. I was there about 2:30 on a Monday and it was not very busy. There are a variety of comfortable chairs scattered around the location, bar style window seats facing Canal, and some high top round tables, so plent of seating for busier hours. I visited on an odd numbered day in February which means it was warmer than usual so I went with an Iced Mocha and a Chocolate Babka Muffin which was warmed up for me. I am usually not a fan of iced coffees but the great coffee in New Orleans have swayed my opinions. This one was outstanding. The flavor was very strong and lasted until the last sip. The muffin was also quite impressive. I don't know where they get them from, or what time they arrive, but at 2:30 pm, it was still very fresh. Although they do not yet have the coffee & chicory from Abita yet (my favorite) the overall quality of the Abita products will make this a stop anytime I have an appointment at Tulane Medical. As a side note, if you are familiar with Abita Roasting Company, the coffee beans for sale here are in different packaging, but it is the same product.

Lauren D.

Yelp
The Apple turnover and white mocha coffee was delicious. I don't recommend the cold black tea.
google avatar

Ji H.

Yelp
This place recently opened a few weeks ago and I love it! It is right near Tulane and also connected to the lobby of Jung hotel. It is owned by Abita Roasting Company (something that I did not know before). I only tried the vanilla latte here which may not be the best one I tried but was not bad at all. I personally think it would be a great place for Tulane students to study and workers nearby to get some coffee! I definitely want to go back and try other things!
google avatar

Brandon S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick visit to get coffee and was impressed with my order. The selection of pastries was pretty clim so I skipped that since I didn't see anything I was eager to try. Will definitely come back!
google avatar

Courtney R.

Yelp
My fresh blueberry muffin was freaking amazing. It was ALMOST better than sex and that's not something I say very often about food. It made my morning and put me in a happy mood. When I visit again, I definitely will be getting another muffin.
google avatar

Leah O.

Yelp
Definitely a fan. Glad to have a decent coffee shop close to Tulane's downtown campus. Staff is always polite, atmosphere is chic, coffee is hot (or cold if you prefer) and the blueberry muffin is the best I've ever had. I wasn't even much of a fan of blueberry muffins until theirs. They'll offer to warm it for you. Let them.
google avatar

Miss F.

Yelp
Muffins were tasty. He offered to heat them up, bonus points. We said no because we are not wieners. Good coffee. We will return...in 7 hours.
google avatar

Tonya B.

Yelp
Great coffee, fresh blueberry muffin and excellent service. This is a very relaxing atmosphere with impeccable cleanliness.

Shawn J.

Yelp
I stayed in the Jung, and the coffee here was delicious. The staff was friendly, and the lobby was very clean. I had a plain soy latte, and it was awesome.
