We had a wonderful meal at The Daily Planet, enjoying both the food and the cozy, sun-filled atmosphere. The greenhouse-like setting with skylights, wooden beams, and abundant plants created a relaxed, vibrant vibe perfect for a casual yet elevated lunch.
Food highlights:
• Falafel & Beet Salad: Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated with arugula, pickled fennel, cucumbers, roasted beets, crumbled goat cheese, and house-made falafel. The lemon vinaigrette on the side was light and zesty—perfect complement.
• Burger with Sweet Potato Fries: Juicy and flavorful, served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce. The sweet potato fries were the standout—crispy, well-seasoned, and paired with a tangy aioli.
• Neil’s Nachos: A crowd-pleaser—loaded with seasoned chorizo, pickled jalapeños, scallions, and a generous drizzle of crema. Every bite was savory and satisfying.
• Drinks: A great selection of local brews and house cocktails. The cider was crisp and refreshing, and the cocktails were fresh and well-balanced.
Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in great timing. This spot is clearly a local gem—thoughtful food, warm ambiance, and great value.
