Breakfast and lunch, both fantastic, Boyd and Sally look after you so well, as well as being dog friendly. Top that with a view like no other, what's not to love?

Just had a delicious meal at the Dancing Midge - my friend and I both had soup and a toastie, really reasonable prices, good portions, great choice and all food delicious! The cauliflower and broccoli soup was a particular stand out, really enjoyed it. The welcome was so friendly and the gentleman behind the counter was really lovely. Would absolutely recommend a visit here 🙂

We read about this cafe online and it really does deserve 5 stars! One member of our party was vegan and the owner offered all sorts of options and ways he could alter the other dishes to make them vegan if they weren't already! He was just the nicest most accommodating guy, from getting our group a good seat to recommendations for good places to go back in Largs. The scones were so good 10/10 and yeah just a lovely wee cafe with nice things to eat and a super friendly staff!

Lovely cafe, with excellent food at sensible prices for decent portions! The lorne, black pudding & haggis all cone from The Arran Butcher and were so good. Highly recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal! Had soup of the day with warm cheese scone. Soup was lentil and it was delicious. All came with a side of fantastic service and great conversation. Oh, and a fantastic view to top it off! Highly recommend.

This is possibly the best place to get food on the island! It has lovely views over the seafront and there's a pair of binoculars if you can grab them to look out at little cumbrae and Arran. I always have the breakfast here and it's second to none, fantastic. I've really missed square sausages! It is quite small here so if it's busy you won't get in, but it's worth the wait.

Great little cafe near the crocodile. Lovely, friendly gent working there. They had oat milk for coffees and we got delicious oat cappuccinos at a very reasonable price. We didn’t have anything to eat but I saw a sign that said they have vegan butter & cheese.

We had Toasties and soup, we were a large group of 7 and for a small sized cafe they had no problem handling us. Would recommend if you visit the island for lunch or a snack.

Yelp
Great place which has had 3 owners since it's opening. The current owners are a great family whose relative was actually the one to renovate the cafe for its original owners, essentially coming full circle to its present day. the food is really good, especially the French toast with emmental cheese and ham, divine! definitely worth a visit if you are on the island for the day or a holiday.

Yelp
Asked the owner very politely if he could warm up a scone in the microwave for a few seconds. I was told rather abruptly & rudely that the scones were freshly baked 3 hours earlier. I wasn't disputing that they were not fresh, I only wanted the scone warmed up. He grudgingly did what I asked. If my pot of tea hadn't been made I would have walked out. I will not be back. Not very good customer service.
