The Dandy Lion Cafe

Made a quick pit stop at the Dandy Lion for breakfast and a cup of coffee. The service and friendliness of the staff is really what was the highlight for us. They greeted all the guests coming in the same way, which is nice and almost a rarity among many businesses these days. The negatives --- The food on the other hand, at least what we had, and the atmosphere just really wasn't our cup of tea. For example, I had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and I believe it had mustard on it which totally changed the flavor and not in a good way. Maybe some like this kind of combination??? As far as the atmosphere, I definitely like the idea of having a glass garage door to open to let the breeze in but the downside to that is that you have to fight off the fly's and gnats while trying to enjoy your meal. Again, maybe some don't mind this but when we like to eat, the last thing I want to do is guard my food or keep my hand moving to ward off anything landing. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't like there was a swarm or even a ton of fly's but just a couple buzzing around that is looking for something to land on is still not pleasant when trying to eat. Lastly, no cinnamon rolls and was informed that it has not been on the menu for some length of time. Google listing needs to be updated.

Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was amazing! The food was fantastic and you should definitely get a danish while you're there! Super flakey and so much filling!

Love it! Excellent food made from fresh ingredients, many of which are created on site. The Lavender Lemonade and Lionade were absolutely delicious. The Fruit Parfait and Mushroom Grilled Cheese were amazing. Comfortable seating and laid-back atmosphere as well as a small deck with picnic tables and umbrellas. Games on the shelf to spend some quality time with friends. Super nice staff.

The pink pony🩷🐴 tea is amazing and the this chicken soup is so delicious! 🤤 Definitely go stop by!

The Dandy Lion Cafe is awesome. I’ve loved all the food and drinks I’ve had here! All the employees are so nice and welcoming. It’s so great to see a place like in Ashland!!!

One of the absolute best experiences we've had in a long time. Feeling immediately welcome, we were immediately mesmerized. The look and feel is incredibly inviting and lovely. Add that to the food that was out of this world, it's a veritable diamond in the rough! Also, all the local art is fantastic and for sale!

I had a one on one meeting here this morning. Absolutely loved this place! Atmosphere and people were very welcoming and happy! I will definitely be scheduling more meetings here.

The Dandylion is one of the cutest cafes ever! The vegan sandwich is AMAZING. It’s all house made ingredients & it’s delicious & nutritious. You have to try it. You can tell there’s a special community here. Also the vanilla matcha was yummy

Great service and delicious food. I ordered the Cuban-ish sandwich with the elote soup (pictured). Both were SO good. The Cuban-ish flavor is spot on and the soup was hearty. My daughter had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich (her first) and was very satisfied. We took home some homemade pastries for later. Prices are super reasonable. Just a great place to have a great meal in a welcoming, comfortable environment. Board games are available for when you want to linger a little while.
