The space is absolutely stunning—its unique blend of modern design and historic charm created the perfect ambiance for our event. The layout was versatile and spacious, allowing us to customize everything exactly how we envisioned. The staff was incredible from start to finish—helpful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure our event was a success. They handled every detail with professionalism and care, making the entire planning process stress-free. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the experience! From the thoughtful amenities to the beautiful décor, The Deacon truly exceeded all our expectations. We rented the Deacon for a long weekend with friends. We had the best time. Not only was the space amazing, but also its upkeep and cleanliness. The host was a great communicator from the minute we booked through checkout. Can’t wait to go back!

Our team recently met at The Deacon for our team retreat in Philly and the space is incredible! Easy to find and located in a walkable neighborhood in a beautiful historic building that has been renovated and yet still maintains its story (stain glass windows, vaulted ceilings, etc). The invisible service was excellent! Instructions for access and use of the space were clear and intuitive, from the kitchen to the common space to the building itself. The team was responsive and checked in on us consistently to ensure we had what we needed and address any questions. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful place. My daughter was immediately sold on The Deacon for her 2026 wedding. The versatility is incredible for both a very intimate event as well as a couple hundred. The rooms are large and tastefully done with the ability to accommodate several overnight guests. We're all looking forward to it!

We used the Deacon for our wedding venue. We had the space from Friday to Sunday, and it was so nice to have a home base for the wedding party. It felt like a big sleepover. Hair and Makeup met us there Saturday morning. We had food trucks cater and bring food up the reception buffet style. All of the chairs, tables, and table cloths were provided by the Deacon which was so nice. Everyone we worked with was amazing and so attentive. The space is just gorgeous and fun and I couldn't it recommend more.

The space is bright and clean. |It would be nice to have a few more electrical outlets. |The kitchen area was helpful and we very much appreciated the stand alone ice machine. |Need to have better signage on the outside of the building. |A/C worked very well in the heat of the summer.

We had such a special weekend at The Deacon for our wedding. The space worked out brilliantly and the staff were amazing and extremely accommodating. Would 10/10 recommend for weddings, special occasions or just a fun night away from home!

We booked the deacon for a weekend and as our wedding venue last month and we could not have been happier with our choice. The building is gorgeous with so many beautiful details, the stained glass windows all of it is stunning. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and offer a lot included in your stay like furniture, some glassware and linens. It was such a special and intimate location and it will always be one of my favorite places from here on. A special shout out to Val, Elise and Sarah. Thank you!!!
