High-quality meals offer a unique taste experience. The staff is attentive, and the ambiance is acceptable. The portions are slightly small, but including the appetizer, main course, and dessert are fair enough.

We had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. A friendly manager confirmed our reservation and brought us to our table outside where we were served by our nice waitress Carole. The menu is meant to be shared by the whole table. They recommend 2-3 plates per person, we had 2 main plates and 1 dessert plate per person, this was enough. The food was excellent. It is quite experimental with special combinations, but I conclude this must be top 3 restaurants I have ever been. The chefs have a kitchen outside so we could see them at work. The environment is very cozy with the light colors giving of a pleasant warmth. One could say the food is expensive, although for 2 people we paid 60 euros, which included our drinks (2 non-alcoholic cocktails). For this high quality food/ unique experience, this price is acceptable to me. I read other reviews mentioning unfriendly service, however this was definitely NOT the case for us, we were very pleased with the pleasant staff. I would not recommend this place for kids, as the food and mood are likely a lot less appealing to them. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any couple or adult friends/family who would like to have a fine dining experience with a casual mood but still high quality food that strikes just the right combinations and taste. Thank you to the restaurant for this experience.

Google
What a super nice experience! The sourdough bread was *chef’s kiss* amazing and tasted very fresh. Also a very big fan of the fried chicken (prob one of the best I’ve ever tasted anywhere) and the lamb! The dessert we got (compressed cucumber & merengue) was kind of weird on paper, but when we tasted it, we were so pleased with how good it tasted and how well the ingredients worked together. You definitely have to make a reservation though - we went on a weeknight and it was still super crowded!

We spent a wonderful evening here. It started with the Ginjinha Sour cocktail (with chocolate) & Caipirinha, then Peixinhos da Hort (beans), crispy chicken, and black pork, as a desert choclate tart. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is attentive, and the food is exceptionally well-prepared and delicious. The price-performance ratio is very good. Thank you for the wonderful dinner.

Google
Every single element of our evening here was amazing, the staff, the ambience, the food, the cocktails... Truly the best meal we had in all of Europe! Would absolutely recommend the fried chicken, I'll be dreaming about it for weeks

Google
I'm giving a rating of 3 because my boyfriend booked a table a week in advance, but we were given some unclear table by the entrance. Do you really treat your guests like this? In my opinion, with a prior reservation, you should give the best tables. However, we were served by a very pleasant girl who managed to negotiate with their unpleasant manager to move us outside. The food is very interesting and tasty

Google
Introduction to the table and menu was warm and welcoming. Everything was delicious and came out super fast. The fried chicken was so good we ordered more - highly recommend. Bar knows how to make cocktails (the mojito was perfect)! Would definitely come back next time I’m in Lisbon.

Google
Delicious food, really well done, savory and very gastronomic. Iberian black pork is tender and not fat, perfect with herbs and smoked shiitake. Tartar is very rich in taste, salty and sticky because of egg yolk. I definitely recommend eating here . The place itself is very open, with a terrace and service is relatively quick.

Yelp
First night in Lisbon and this place came highly recommended. I loved how the staff was so friendly and cared more about our experience with them versus how much we ordered! The beef tartare was one of my favorites because of the flavor and bread! Was the perfect pairing. We were seated at the back patio and it was so perfect for a summer night! Would love to come back the next time I'm in Lisbon!

Yelp
The Decadente in Lisbon is a culinary gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant impresses with a warm, vibrant ambiance, outstanding service, and a menu that showcases Portugal's finest ingredients with a creative twist. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece. The smoked lamb was tender and infused with deep, rich flavors that lingered long after the first bite. Paired with perfectly seasoned sweet potato, it was a comforting and elegant dish. The Iberian black pork was another standout--a succulent and flavorful cut that highlighted the unique quality of this prized meat. The croaker fish was a delightful surprise, cooked to perfection with a crispy skin and flaky, moist interior. Its delicate flavor was beautifully complemented by thoughtfully chosen accompaniments. As for the fried chicken, it was an irresistible blend of crispy, golden batter and juicy meat, elevated with bold spices and a modern twist. What ties everything together at The Decadente is the exceptional service. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Their thoughtful wine pairings and detailed explanations of the dishes added an extra layer of appreciation to the meal. The Decadente isn't just a restaurant; it's an exploration of flavor and technique that celebrates Portugal's culinary heritage with flair. Whether you're a foodie, a traveler, or someone looking for a remarkable meal, this place should be at the top of your list in Lisbon. An absolute must-visit!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in here for dinner one evening while in Lisbon. The decor and overall atmosphere was super cute & fun. The drinks were good and the food was pretty good. However, for the price we paid... we still left hungry unfortunately. While it was yummy, the tapas seemed to be a little small to share. However the waiter did have knowledge of gluten free offerings for my celiac disease which was great!

Yelp
Was recommended to us by locals and had had such a great time here! Creative cocktails ( the bartender was so much fun to watch), Extremely knowledgeable staff (we come from the California wine country and are industry savvy). The manager took a lot of effort to ensure we paired the right wine and the right quantity of food. Especially appreciate the emphasis on using local, seasonal products and featuring small vintners. Definitely get the vegetable dishes! Really unique approach. Sophisticated vibe without being pretentious. Reserve ahead- you don't want to miss out.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant in a terrific location. The food was delicious--innovative and fresh. We especially enjoyed the cucumber dessert--sounds weird, but it was wonderful!

Yelp
Best pastel de nata in town, I usually have coffee and pastries for dessert after dinner, fun atmosphere to sit outside and listen live music that is great too!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our night here! First of all, the service was top notch: attentive, friendly, and a little spunky as the waitress and hostess explained the menu. I'm vegetarian, so the waitress even wrote me a list of great spots to check out before we left. So nice! The food was also amazing. Highlights include the asparagus and black garlic emulsion, which was to die for. The sauce was something we couldn't get enough of. I also particularly liked the Peixinhos da Horta, which was like a crispy and light green bean tempura, as well as the Mushroom and Seaweed's rice, which was like a sea flavored risotto. My dining partner got the confit hake and really enjoyed it as well! The dessert of the caramelized lemony bread was such a treat, as the orange curd and surprise lemon infused olive oil that seeped out from under made it such a unique and delicious way to top off the meal. Would definitely go again!

Yelp
Food was unique and delicious. Restaurant has a great ambiance, if weather is good I recommend a table outside.

Yelp
The Decadente is el presidente of Coriander and salt. Ordered four dishes and all had similar flavor profiles on the side of savory. Had the mushrooms and rice, braised shredded lamb, hake all equally seasoned with lemon, coriander and salt. Disappointed that they all tasted so very similar. Would recommend the battered fried chicken thighs not because they were amazing, but because it was the one dish that wasn't overly savory. Ambiance is decent, good music, probably not appropriate for kids.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite meal in Lisbon. Really trendy looking spot that's impossible to get a table at unless you have a reservation. Food: - Camaroes: really well seasoned shrimp, with a rich, spicy sauce that was creamy and flavorful; we couldn't stop dipping our bread in it - Abobora Recheada: wonderful butternut quash with quinoa; I never really like quinoa, but this was cooked perfectly so that it was tender, and it was packed with flavor; it was a great complement to the squash - Portugal no Prato: a rice fish stew with a tomato base that was rich in flavor and full of seafood; the coriander was the perfect balancing element to the salt broth - Cheesecake com Tomates: anything but a standard dessert; almost savory in flavor; rich cheese paired with mildly sweet tomato elements Atmosphere: lively and trendy; very modern Service: really friendly and attentive

Yelp
It's surprising that all the other reviews state the staff is so friendly. I definitely did not get that vibe tonight. This is the second time I attempted to eat at this restaurant. The first time they were too busy. We went later this time and there was plenty of seating available. We went to the door and stood by the sign that says please wait to be seated. One of the staff members headed in our direction so my Husband asked her for a table for two. The staff member does not acknowledge us at all but rudely says excuse me to us. I moved to the side apparently I was standing in the way of some place you drop off dirty glasses. Then she walks passed us again with no acknowledgement at all. I have never felt so unwelcome in an establishment before. We left. When we attempted to eat there last night, the guy was tot rude or overly nice either. Which I didn't mind but I will not tolerate someone just being rude to me.

Yelp
The food was slightly above average, but compared to the smaller / authentic restaurants i had eaten in Lisbon, it was not comparable. The main dish(suckling veal with apple purée) was nice, the desert(salted caramel chocolate tart with Pwas quite bad, I had a bite and did not finish it.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place but was honestly fairly disappointed. When ordering, the first two things we wanted (octopus appetizer and sweet potato chips) were not available! Given that we were 1 of 3 tables seated when we orders, this was surprising. The server recommended the spicy prawns appetizer so we went with his recommendation, pairing it with regular homemade potato chips since they didn't have the sweet potato ones. The chips were bland, and some weren't fried all the way through. Regardless, they weren't bad with a sprinkle of salt. The spicy prawns tasted slightly curry-like. The prawns were prepared well and the sauce was tasty, especially sopped up by the bread that came with. I had the pork belly and my beau ordered the Nero linguine with prawns. His dish was good; the linguine tasted very fresh but I'm pretty sure it was the exact same appetizer prawns dish, just dumped on the linguine. It would have been nice to know from the waiter that the two were pretty much identical, especially when he recommended one of them. I was so disappointed in the pork belly. I really didn't think they had given me the correct dish (there were two pork dishes on the menu) but when we pulled the menu up online, the sides matched what was supposed to be served with the belly. Not sure if pork belly usually is different here in Lisbon/Portugal/Europe versus the States, but they were just 3-4 small pieces of super thin nonfatty pieces of pork that were well seasoned but a bit overcooked and dry. The spinach was lackluster and the Portuguese sausage thing (feirnha(?)) was just not yummy. It tasted like smoky stuffing. On the bright side, service was friendly and the decor was edgy. It seemed like a hip place to be.

Yelp
One of the most trendy restaurants in Lisbon recommended by many local friends and guides. Nice set up with open kitchen - the large outdoor area is rather charmless though. The food has nothing extraordinary. The best dish by far was the linguine. The gazpacho lacked taste. The carpaccio of pineapple (desert) quite frankly does not deserve to be on a restaurant menu. The service was nice but clearly understaffed. Does not deserve the 'hype' overall

Yelp
Fun, cool place with a nice vibe. It was too warm on the inside so we ate on the back patio - lovely atmosphere. Good, fast service and an excellent wine list. The food was good and well-prepared and seasoned. Definitely make a reservation.

Yelp
This place reminds me of a new American type restaurant. The place is very popular. Be sure to make a reservation in advance (even a day of two ahead). The cocktails are good. Food: Prawns are a good appetizer. It says it is spicy but I didn't think it was spicy. It is served with bread. Main dish: Duck was delicious and had great flavor and moist Tuna steak- get it rare. It is also amazing served with gnocchi and sauteed zucchini. Dessert: Peach cake with raspberry ice cream. This is great food with good service and prices are good value. Highly recommended

Yelp
I love it when a restaurant lives up to it's hype. But in this case, they exceeded expectations. Decadente is located in the Barrio Alto, a hip and upcoming neighborhood of Lisbon this restaurant completely fits in the scene. We know this would be a challenge as we walked in on a Friday night hoping for a table. Reservations are a must, but we had a plan. Arrive early (before opening) at 7:00. None of the pretty young people would be here and we may just have a chance... We were told that all the tables were booked, but if we returned at 7:30 (opening time) and put our name on the waiting list that there would be a pretty good chance that we may actually score a table. He also told us to check at the front desk and see if there were any last minute cancellations and we could even nail an actual reservation. We took his advice and headed for the front desk. We were immediately told there were no openings, but as he finished his sentence he looked down at his screen and says "oh wait! we just had a table for two cancel for 7:30!" Yeah baby! From start to finish Decadente was a winner. The service warm and inviting, the food absolutely delicious. There are plenty of options for both meat, seafood and vegetarians. And you cocktail lovers will embrace the creative cocktail list. Our server for the evening was from Belarus, and she could not have been more helpful. Her knowledge of he menu (and especially the wine list) was amazing. I was torn between two ports and she made it a point to bring me servings of both (but she also had a strong opinion on which I would prefer...and she was right). Yes, Decedante is worth the climb up the hill.

Yelp
This was the best meal I had in Portugal! Definitely recommend getting the squid ink pasta with clams and shrimp. It was so good and my sister also couldn't keep her hands off of it as well. My sister got the octopus, and she said it was pretty intense, but if you like octopus she would recommend it!

Yelp
Our least favorite meal in Lisboa . We arrived around 2pm for the brunch buffet and though the buffet options were plenty , yogurt , fresh fruit , croissants , cheese meats and olives , a few salads and desserts . With the brunch buffet you get the option of one of 3 egg dishes . They were all mediocre in my opinion the egg being cold on most of our entrees was also not a good sign. We did sit outside and were able to enjoy our pitcher of sangria in the sunshine and cool outdoor space. They don't take resos so either arrive at the start or tail end like we did to be garunteed a seat

Yelp
Not only was the food delightful, this was some of the kindest service I've ever received at any restaurant anywhere. I came around 11 at night, and they informed me that regretfully the kitchen was closing. I'd heard good things about this place so I was visibly disappointed but I totally understood. I was near the exit of the restaurant when the host came to get me, asked if only I would be dining, and assured me that they could definitely accommodate a party of one at that hour. I proceeded to enjoy a delicious meal with an amazingly balanced and complex pineapple cocktail. The staff was forthcoming with recommendations about their favorite items on the menu. They even asked me if I wanted bread to soak up the delicious sauce from my already-consumed entree - WHAT A DREAM. How many times have I joked that I wished I had bread at the end of the meal to dip in sauce? Approximately one million. Decadente you are doing everything right in my book! Thanks for making my last night in Lisbon so memorable.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant in the Independente Hotel. Great Bar out the front and a nice outdoor, smoking area out the back. Restaurant itself is a lovely room and the staff are great, they gave us a great review for the next evening. lovely steak and Portugese Black Pork. The Black Pork was amazing so much flavour Thin Strips turned on the BBq, fantastic. Also the steak was very good, dry aged rib eye, lots of flavour. Wine was a red from the Douro valley, Papa Figos, very good, and reasonable Total bill was €70

Yelp
This is a gorgeous outdoor patio space (with indoor space if the weather is bad) decorated in a relaxed, informal boho chic. I recommend the 13-euro prix fixe menu for lunch. Everything is delicious, and it's both more affordable and has better ambience than other places to lunch in the Bairro Alto
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic meal and Intro to the city in the hills! I walked in without reservations, which in hindsight was an oversight. I ended up sitting at the bar for a few hours while I waited for a table to open up. It was annoying but well worth it at the end! Thankfully I was able to have starters at the bar while i waited for my table. I had the octopus and beef strips in garlic. Yum. The octopus was sliced paper thin and garnished with what tasted like an olive oil cream and cut veggies. Yum. And the beef strips were killer. An Argentinian man sitting next to me noticed them. And if you know the love for steaks in Argentina, then you understand this was a compliment to the restaurant. The bar has a great cocktail menu. If you like tequila, their beverage with spicy tequila and red fruit is spot on. They have a nice wine list as well. I ended up getting a seat in the outdoor patio. It was wonderful, open air to feel the breeze while eating in a small courtyard. We ordered the duck, 12 hour slow cooked pork cheeks, and steak. Done and done. Nothing need be said but if I must, fantastic. The service was also on point. Even though this is a city that loves late night dining, the staff would make you think it was always the beginning of their shift.

Tara M.

Yelp
Great spot and friendly staff. Tuna steak looked wonderful but was so salty it was inedible, so would recommend avoiding that at all costs. Egg on top was delicious at least. Don't sit outside to dine if cigarette smoke bothers you. I'd give it a second chance if I were local.

Kim E.

Yelp
Every bite of food and sip of wine was superb. Our server, Josh, was very friendly, and made great wine recommendations. The atmosphere was vibrant, but you could still hear your table companion talk. I strongly recommend The Decadente!
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
The Decadente came recommended with a lot of hype behind it. On the surface, you can understand why though. This restaurant is not doing the normal play on Portugese food. By this I mean they aren't focusing on seafood and twists on traditional recipes. This restaurant is trying for modern creative farm to market cuisine. They advertised craft cocktails that are well balanced and unique but they were off balance and less desirable. I would suggest sticking to wine here. The food itself was hit and miss. Some dishes were well under seasoned and not as tasty as they appeared on the menu. The restaurant seemed to be having an off night as the owner was working as the host and he was really laying into employees for mistakes that were made. This also seemed a little less professional and the employees ended up appearing rattled instead of confident in their work. I appreciate the direction they are trying to go and maybe it was an off night but other reviews lately all seem to indicate a pattern.

Yelp
Would definitely recommend making a reservation - we came here on a Friday evening and had to wait 1.5 hours for a table. However, it was worth it! We spent the waiting time in the attached bar, where we enjoyed some lovely (mainly port-based) cocktails. The food and service in the restaurant were both great, and the prices are very reasonable. I had some lovely, plump, juicy prawns for starter, which were beautifully cooked, and then the pig cheeks for main course, which just fell apart and melted in the mouth. The duck breast than my boyfriend chose was also delicious. The wine selection was good, and again reasonably priced.
google avatar

Bar J.

Yelp
Food great, affordable & beautiful people... Down side - staff cares not at all for improvising and juggling tables. Was ordering and eating courses, was asked to leave table for 2nd seating. Wow. So, eat quickly & order all at once. Next time I will double book as chances are the tip/bill would be double those at my table now. But, it's Lisboa & relaxing is in the air...
google avatar

D.J. M.

Yelp
We showed up without reservations (a mistake) but got a table - unlike everyone one else who showed up after us without reservations. Great service (Antonio), excellent food and a trendy ambiance. We started with a simple well-executed salad - greens, wild berries, olive oil and salt. Then the grilled Octopus and the Garlic Shrimp appetizer as a main. Large portions, well-prepared. I room for dessert.
google avatar

Pete M.

Yelp
First of all, for gods sake - any day of the week, get a reservation. The locals and the tourists love this place. Just about everything is amazingly good, the prices are good, the service is good, and I even say this when I had a misunderstanding with one of the wait staff about getting a table. The Supremo chicken is one of the best chicken dishes I've had in the world. They do interesting things with flavor for both the chicken and the steaks. The location puts you in one of the best views in Lisbon with a nice smooth walk down to Avendida if you want to see the grand giant old avenue of Lisbon. I'll be back.
google avatar

Francesca C.

Yelp
Oh I love this place. The ambiance, service and food are wonderful. Plus, their cocktails are great and reasonably priced. Dessert (pear carpaccio!) was awesome. It's in a great part of town for walking around after a meal. Will go again the next time I'm in Lisbon.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst Piri-Piri chicken. White skin (look like an albinost chicken) not spicy at all. This is Piri-Piri chicken for tourist. No doutb Portuguese don't eat Piri-Piri chicken like this.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick drink. We had "The Decadante" which was very tasty. Nice bartenders too. I'll be back tomorrow!

Yelp
I found this place not that great. The salad was smothered in balsamic. The mousse was just okay. After eating some fantastic food in Lisbon, this wasn't a highlight for me. The waiter was extremely nice though.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
We are here 3 times while in Lisbon. The food is amazing. The only draw back was the seating "outside". It's not really outdoor it's covered completely and it's where they send the smokers.

D G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the green cocktail, the shrimp, and the friendly service. Everything else was fine but not amazing. Cool space but definitely more casual outside. I would probably go again for a cocktail and snack but not waste a dinner here.

Yelp
located inside a hip hostel in the hipster neighborhood of bairro alto, i had high expectations for the decadente which were not met. it was our fault for not making a reservation, but i was more than happy to wait in the bar adjacent to the restaurant, sipping a delicious cocktail, marveling at the charming decor with interesting compilation of books. finally after an hour (9pm) we checked in, but the host wouldn't let us sit even though a couple of tables opened up. another 30 minutes passed, and more tables became available, but we were not allowed to take one. a few more minutes later, the host finally gathered the waiting groups and led us to tables which just was the ODDEST thing ever! why didn't he just let whoever came first sit first when a table became available? why make people wait longer than necessary when the restaurant is being emptied out? near 2 hour wait sure made us hungry, so we we ordered immediately upon seating. the prawns in orange colored sauce was good as an appetizer to share, and my spicy black linguine dish was also tasty (it had be since the sauce used was the same as the appetizer. i wished the waitress had mentioned that so we wouldn't have duplicated our order). the hubby's cod filet dish came out cold which he knew it would be since he saw it sitting at the counter for a while. we mentioned this to the waitress, and she took it back and brought a new one. the fish was fresh and cooked well, but bland and tasteless. overall, i was not super impressed with the food and service. we might've had better experience had we made a reservation, and if the host was more efficient in managing the wait time. nonetheless, the this place is super cute, and the quality of food and drinks far exceeds what u.s. offers for the same price. p.s. - smoking is allowed in the courtyard, so avoid tables in that area if you cannot tolerate cigarettes.

Yelp
Gorgeous, charming meal. The menu feels like modern takes on traditional dishes but without being too precious or pretentious. We made a reservation for our table of three at the front desk the afternoon of. At the time we were told the only open table was in the back garden which is covered and heated - cool! We were sat near the open kitchen with a view of the chefs at work - very cool! It was tough to narrow down our selections from so many excellent options but we ultimately enjoyed the pirri-pirri garlic prawns (ordered extra bread to get every last drop of the sauce), grilled octopus (some of the best of the trip), baccalhau (good but not stand-out), duck breast (yum), and pork steak (very tasty). And a round of cherry liqueurs to cap things off. The bill, including meal wines and beers came to about 90 euro. Great value for such a stellar meal.

Yelp
Excellent food, very friendly (English-speaking) servers and great prices. Try the Portugal No Prato! They also offer free wifi. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Had a wonderful dining experience at this beautifully decorated restaurant. Making reservations in advance is highly recommended. People are waiting in lines at 10 a.m. Log on to their website and secure a table via their online booking system. They happily veganized a few dishes for us, everything we had was absolutely delicious. Bottom line - good for vegans, great ambiance, beautiful decor, service was a bit slow that evening, but they were kind enough to apologize, and since everybody was so nice, it didn't really make a difference. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Rita Q.

Yelp
What a complete disappointment. The service was beyond slow, the servers were rude, we were told the patio was heated but it wasn't and our food was cold. The bathroom had a broken toilett paper dispenser and the hand dryer was also broken. We came here to celebrate New Year's day and based on all.the positive reviews, were excited to try it out. But truly it's an overpriced tourist trap. Speaking as someone married to a Portuguese local and have visited the country multiple times, this place looks cool but doesn't hold up at all. Will never be back. Too many other amazing places in town to waste it here.
google avatar

Gemma W.

Yelp
The location, the venue, the interior, the staff, the food, the surroundings and the atmosphere are impeccable! I can not recommend this highly enough! I am vegan, my friend is gluten free and we were catered for and not only catered for but talked to about our dietary requirements with a smile. Very enjoyable.

B M.

Yelp
This was a bit of a disappointment. It came highly recommended but food was inconsistent. The salad was the most boring and tasteless one I may have ever been served. It is somewhat shocking to me that any restaurant can't make a really good salad. My son had a shrimp appetizer that was very good. I had fish of the day that was slightly fishy and, again, so what bland. Mashed potato side also needed a bit more of a kick. The atmosphere/decor is very good although it is very loud. Our waitress was efficient but not particularly friendly. Overall just ok. I don't think I will be back or can strongly recommend it.

Hello! My boyfriend and I were looking for a restaurant and as usual the Yelp community has helped us. We hadn't booked so the waiter told us to come back 40 minutes later. Instead, we had a drink in the Lounge part of the restaurant. So, after the waiting time: I took a vegetarian couscous, my boyfriend took the "portugal no prato" (rice with fish, shrimp and coriander) It was sooo good to me and to my boyfriend. Plus, he took a glass of wine again. About desserts, we both chose the "petit decadente" (chocolate fondant sided with white chocolate & hazelnut cream). It was that good that he took a second dessert (the same). So, for 3 glass of wine, two dishes and THREE desserts that cost us 41.10€ wich is reasonable according to me. Sorry for the bad english but I don't write in English in order to be understood by a lot of people.

Yelp
So... We were here twice. We ate here 0 times. How? Well let me tell you, on Sundays the only serve brunch the whole day, and when we came back on Monday at around 4 P.M. they told us that we cant order any food and that was is. Just after I asked when is it even posaible to eat here, they told me that lunch is served until 3 P.M. And dinner starts at 8 P.M. So, even though I'm sure that the food is excelent, I won't be comming back to check. The problem is that they could have told us about the serving hours the first day we came, or even the second, without me asking. Or they could post that info somewhere.

Yelp
We were staying in the Bairro Alto neighborhood and walked past one night because this place was packed with people who looked like they were having a great time. Don't be fooled by the fact that the Decadente is part-hostel -- this resturant/bar is AMAZING! Reservations pretty much required for dinner...unless you want to try your luck by showing up at 7:30pm and waiting to see if reservations didn't show up. The menu looked fresh and inventive - I had the rice with fish and shrimp, which was worthy of being remembered as my last meal in Portugal. Our neighbors also enjoyed their fish and pasta (side note: one of the great things about this place is the variety of people that you'll meet!). Do not - I repeat, DO NOT - leave this place without getting a drink or two! Ask the waitstaff what they think is best -- they're not afraid to give a strong opinion once you describe what you're looking for. The Hectorade was one of the best drinks I'd had in a very long time. For added awesomeness, they often have live music on weekend evenings, making it difficult to tear yourself away to explore more of what Lisbon has to offer. (Side note: had I visited with my boyfriend, I imagine it would have been pretty darn romantic to get tipsy here and cross the street to the lookout point. If that's not your thing, about 50 other bars are right around the corner!)
