The Delphi Downtown LA

The room was huge and luxurious. There was a great city view from the enormous windows. The bathroom was also very large. The lifts were beautiful. The staff were helpful. Nice size of television for watching those crazy lawyers’ adverts!||The location in Downtown LA is perfect for The Teragram Ballroom where we saw The Brian Jonestown Massacre twice! ||If you are visiting LA don’t forget to take in the fantastic Aquarium of The Pacific where you can feed the lorikeets. They are adorable!||Back at the hotel - there was opaque glass panelling between shower and room itself. Not great for privacy, really, but my son and I managed to allow each other this privacy by sitting in a strategically placed chair when the other was showering. I must emphasise that this was the ONLY thing I wasn’t keen on at The Delphi. I loved the hotel in general.

Surprisingly nice. Definitely more of a couples type of hotel. We didn't get to use our $10 credit but it was thoughtful. Room was nice, lobby elegant, fantastic location, and although pricey cause it's LA, not too pricey overall. Got to spend a great weekend and see Olver Street just 10min away.

Mixed bag. Experience depends on who you talk to. Half the staff was arrogant and the other half was very accommodating. Some of the bad experience also came from how the hotel is managed as well, so it wasn't just a few bad apples. - Hotels.com says checkin at 3pm, Delphi email says 4pm - First room was as frozen as possible with the AC set on the lowest, the heat didn't start working even after 15 minutes of waiting. Switched rooms and the lady at reception who checked us in talked to us like we were kids and that she never heard about such issue and the heat should be working. No hint of an apology whatsoever. - Second room was as frozen as the first one (I would say sub 60). We stayed since we had to leave for an event. The heat worked when were were back after midnight. In the meantime we heard two other clients complaining about the cold at the reception - First morning we asked (the same lady who checked us in) how to collect car from valet, she answered with attitude that we should go outside and find a valet - Second morning when we were checking out (another lady) nicely asked if we want to get the car, without us even asking. So it could be done from reception if they wanted to - Phone at room didn't work, couldn't call reception - All was topped by a server at breakfast who gave us weird attitude, refused to do what other server has done previous morning and then warned us we would be charged for two coffees if my wife took a sip from my cup - Half the elevators didn't work - Shower heads were the cheapest, one leaking and second one clogged - Room's sofa was so stained I wouldn't sit on it, looked like a carpet at an airport

Booked this hotel for a last minute one night stay. When I arrived, it wasn’t very well signed where the parking/valet was at from Flower street, which the entrance is on 6th street. To enter the hotel from the valet, there is no ramp to take your luggage up, only stairs. Or you would have to walk around to the front entrance. Valet is $55 overnight with in and out privileges. The parking lot is limited but it is $25 for the day or $40 overnight. The hotel is old and they have made an effort to make it appear “modern” but still looks and feels old and dingy. I didn’t like the open concept of the bathroom/shower, it felt like I was showering in a high school locker room. The sink was also very low and I am 5’2! Overall, this is a nice hotel if you’re looking for something convenient and affordable for a short stay.

The Delphi hotel in downtown LA is an absolute disgrace - do not stay here if you are traveling alone or just two women. We arrived at 8:20pm to check in for a 2 night stay to be told our room had been given away - a room we had booked nearly a year ago. The manager told us he had gotten us a room at a nearby hotel but wasn’t going to organise a taxi or anyway for us to get there. We were two women at nighttime in the dark now trying to find this new hotel in a city we had never been in before. After arriving at the new hotel the two parties checking in in front of us had also been sent from the Delphi after their rooms too were given away - one of them a solo female traveler - and when we asked her what was going on she said reception at this new hotel had no idea anyone was coming over as the Delphi hadn’t told them. The room we stayed in at this new hotel was gorgeous and the staff were so friendly given all of this had landed in their lap. We called the next morning to the Delphi to confirm we definitely had a room and to tell them how upset we were and honestly they couldn’t have cared less about any of that just as long as we didn’t cancel our booking for that evening. When we checked in we were told we were ‘upgraded’ to a better room. Once you get out of the reception the hotel becomes old and poorly decorated the room had no decoration or photos on the wall and we honestly couldn’t believe that this was an ‘upgraded’ room - the hotel is absolutely nothing like it is portrayed on social media and the level of customer service is absolutely shocking. Even after all of this they tried to charge us for the resort fees which we absolutely were not paying - we paid the security deposit for BOTH hotels and only received them back after we got home from our trip which left us with an extra unplanned expense for an avoidable issue that was caused entirely by this company’s lack of care. We are not fussy people but this was absolutely unacceptable and I would not recommend this joke of a place to anyone.

I spent some of the most memorable nights of my year at The Delphi. The staff were incredibly helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect—just a short distance from all the great restaurants and spots in downtown LA. Clean, modern, and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here!

From the moment I walked in the door I had the experience of the same warm, friendly professional greeting that I’ve always gotten only this time. It’s not the standard but the Beautiful Remodeled Delphi hotel in downtown LA. When I walked in there today, I was tired, hungry, and in need of rest. As I sat in Jussiê, the restaurant a top the hotel I could not help but be impressed by the absolutely elegant atmosphere that has replaced what was once upscale party vibes! The Delfini, and all that have had a hand in it remodel have out done themselves!❤️ And don’t let me get started about the food!!!!! 💋💋💋💋 TO THE CHEIF!! Andrea (my server) can attest that by the time I was done I was full, relaxed and inspired after spending a couple hours in this beautiful environment. 🤩 From Jim, Andrea and Jonathan, who greeted me when I pulled up I felt like a celebrity. Everyone’s greeting was particularly friendly, warm and inviting as if you were visiting an old friend.🥰 If you love the old standard, you will absolutely delight in the upscale grown and sexy sophisticated vibes of It’s rebirth in the Delphi.👑 Just that this place was once a home away from home after tonight it will definitely be a home away from home again.💋

We stayed at the Delphi Hotel for two nights and really enjoyed our time. The location is central and convenient, making it easy to get around the city. The room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere of the hotel felt stylish yet welcoming. We didn’t have room service, so we had to ask for things like towels and toilet paper, but the staff was quick to accommodate. The rooftop was a great experience, although our time was too short to fully enjoy it. Just a note: they charge $30 per night as a resort fee, so keep that in mind when budgeting. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Keep in mind I did not book this hotel. Someone else did. I might have done a bit more research. While it seems a bit on the outskirts of things the location worked well for us. The following is not necessarily a criticism but more like observations. In no particular order: Staff was pleasant enough. Food at Deannas was good. Bed was comfy. LOVED the plump pillows. Our room was a "classic" I think. ABSOLUTELY no bathroom privacy. Did not care for the "see all" shower. Couldn't plug in phone charger behind bed. Had to do it across the room. Valet never once opened my door for me. (I was a passenger) The official hotel smell in the lobby is cloying. Doors on side by elevators say they are locked from 8pm to 8am. Nope. Husband had to tell front desk that a homeless person tried to get in the elevator. (There is a bit of presence from the homeless nearby) Overall this hotel worked for us but won't be staying again.

In 2024 I have a mission. Sit and lounge in as many hotel lobby bars as possible. I'm most certainly in my Femme Fatale era and hanging out at the Delphi is the start of my hotel lobby adventures. Arrived here on a Thursday evening for the Creative Jazz night! I have been getting emails about this new jazz night and I was excited to take a peek. Because its still new, it was the perfect amount of people. Give it a few weeks and it'll be nearly impossible to find a seat here. The music was incredible. The food and drinks were amazing as well. The mushroom flatbread was crispy, crunchy filled with mushrooms and topped with arugula and pickled onions. So delicious! My favorite drink by far was the Ceremonial Grade. I'm a huge fan of matcha and this matcha cocktail was so yummy. Normally I'm not a fan of tajin on the rim of a drink, but this was a big exception. It was the perfect addition to my drink. Such a great night filled with Jazz, fun, great food, and beautiful people! Can't wait to make my way back here for another round.

Stayed here three nights on business. Cute, older, boutique hotel. Room was nice, no coffee maker, but microwave available by request. Mini fridge, Hair dryer, iron, robes and very comfortable bed. The bathtub is huge! Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the tub area. Lots of outside noise, sirens, car alarms, cars racing but it was expected, as it is DTLA. luckily I was exhausted all 3 nights and fell asleep easily & quickly. ;) Nice little coffee shop with lounge area seating. The restaurant food at Denae's Diner was very good and wonderful service. Tried a Breakfast sandwich and also a Cobb salad + chicken. Both were delicious. The front desk staff is very professional and courteous. Every single employee I encountered was a delight. Our company also used their conference facility on 2nd floor, which was wonderful and set up for us perfectly. Thank you Delphi!! :)

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I've stayed in the past when it was The Standard. It seems like they actually kept the bed covering from The Standard. A few critiques: the bathroom curtain doesn't go around 360 and a mirror is directly in front of it -- so if you're staying with a coworker or sibling, it's a bit uncomfortable. I stayed in a premium king room, which seems like one of their only options that doesn't have the glass showers, so I am grateful for that! My only other criticism is that all elevators don't seem to work and desperately need repairs and recarpeting (plus in the hallways). And the tv placement was very odd, you couldn't watch comfortably from the bed but I don't watch tv really so that didn't bother me much. Positives: walkable to a lot of places! Only a 20 minute walk to the convention center & staples center, 10 minute walk to museums, 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants. It's also across the street from a cute outdoor cafe. The hotel room was clean and minimalistic, which I enjoy! The staff was very helpful and they even allowed me to check in early. Overall, enjoyed my stay here!

Stayed at The Delphi for the Adobe MAX conference this past week. The Delphi, originally The Standard before it closed and reopened, is a nice boutique hotel in the Downtown LA area. The website for the hotel said check in was at 3pm, so we arrived a few mins after the check-in time only to find out that a room wasn't ready for us yet. We had to wait an hour in the lobby until we were notified that a room was available. The hotel was clean, had nice decor and friendly staff. One of the entrances was partially taken over by the outside construction, and the escalators were not running during our stay, but there were 4 elevators. Our room was quite large and had a nice bathroom. On old reviews for this building I know some people didn't love the clear glass on the showers, but it looks like The Delphi has not only added curtains but replaced the glass so it's no longer see through! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Delphi and we would return again.

There is only a glass window separating the SHOWER from the bedroom area. That's really all that needs to be said. Nothing else matters about this hotel other than the fact that they did not even install curtains for BASIC PRIVACY. My colleague, booked this room for the two of us for a business trip, you wouldn't think you'd need to check if there is a solid wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom because there is no reason for that concern to exist...except if it's this hotel. I assumed it was one of those modern/ artsy hotels where the glass would fog up with a flip of a switch. I've seen those types of bathrooms before and strongly believed this would be similar.

Popped in to try the restaurant, but they hadn't opened, so we got lunch at the cafe in the lobby instead. Food was good and service was nice, if a little scattered even though we were the only diners. They helped explains the menu, and we ordered the chicken sandwich w/fries, salad, flatbread, and veggies. Wanted dessert too, but they didn't offer any. We'll definitely be back to try the new restaurant, but would totally eat here again too, the flatbread was very good, and the prices pretty comparable to other DTLA spots.

I didn't stay here but I booked for my relative . I could not go in to see inside because parking is HORRIBLE here and I was only dropping off. Very nice hotel from their pictures , clean and the room Was very nice . They had breakfast and there and said it was very good and the staff was pretty nice as well. I'm thinking of booking there for a weekend getaway now .

The pantry was packed, wanted a diner and this turned out not to be. It's a fancy take. Portions were unnecessarily laid out like a fine restaurant. Service was casual, as in you had to remind the staff they were working. Not worth the $20 parking.

Checked in 11/17/23 at 3:45pm by a woman ( dry ). Extremely noisy, can hear everything outside and inside. It is downtown with a noisy live bar and restaurant across the street. I arrived and the staff was very dry. The valet folks were the nicest. I was checked into a room that wasn't ready. There were housekeeping staff etc going in and out. They were confused that I was checked in that particular room. Went downstairs and front lobby thought it was strange and said they would check in it. Another gentleman assisted me to another room. Would not stay here again.

Very cool hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California. The rooms are modern, the bed super-comfortable, and a nice view of Flower and 6th. We parked in the library lot next to the hotel for $18 (weekend rate). The rooms are small, but who cares? We were in town hit Dodger Stadium. The lobby is really cool. The staff? Super-friendly. Forget the bad reviews on Yelp! This place rocks!

If you aren't happy with your job THEN QUIT/LEAVE and find something more fulfilling to your inner self! Valet here is extremely RUDE and projects their energy on to others. It starts from the front, then I'm sitting at the pool and instead of explaining or telling me in a kind manner, the manager (another rude employee, woman) tells me, that I cannot have my feet or be no where near the pool after 10pm. Again it's not what you say. It's how you say it. I'll never come to this establishment ever again, apparently they don't like my energy .

This place is terrible. Very outdated, poor customer service, many things broken. Horrible odor throughout the hotel.

I've been living in downtown Los Angeles for seven years now. The standard hotel was my favorite hotel to take visitors to, hang out at, get breakfast. Go have drinks. It was just a great place. When it shut down it was pretty heartbreaking. There's not a lot of places that are that casual, but also deliver quality service and food. You could walk over to that hotel in sandals, swim shorts and a T-shirt. Buy some drinks and go to the pool. It was incredible. The 24 hour restaurant was also incredible. When the Delphi moved in it was definitely concerning... new businesses don't always mean it's going to be as good as the last one. Yesterday, my wife and I went to get breakfast- service was great, food was great and the prices were fair. We came here when they first opened the Delphi the pool was closed and the restaurant was closed. The lobby bar that we went to on that first trip was nice and the bartender took his time telling us about the updates that were coming to the hotel. The downstairs restaurant was not yet operating. Now that the restaurant is open, it's nice to see the operators/staff have maintained the same level of food and service. I'm excited to see what the pool will be like next summer.

Ok I have mixed feelings about this place honestly ! So for starters we were here for a business trip 3 nights total . We had an early flight so when we landed I called and asked if they had early check in available or service to hold our luggage and they couldn't guarantee a room which was totally fine but could definitely hold our luggage if not . Front desk was always super nice ! The lobby is super pretty as well . You also get a $10 credit a day to spend on coffee or something at the coffee bar I liked that a lot I got a Mexican mocha with oat milk and it was soo good bartender was nice as well. Also compared to other hotels this was like the best price option for its location. Cons- Once you step into the elevator your experience changes the inside is outdated and had broken handles . The carpet seems old and our floor had a musty smell to it . At one point during the evening they painted something on our floor which was past our check in time so they knew people were there & it was such a strong paint smell . Online it didn't show us they are under construction so the pool wasn't available... no one told us where the fitness center was & there are no signs telling you on the lobby or elevator . You get charged $25 for a resort fee that they are now calling "destination fee" but 1 they don't mention the fitness center, two the pool is closed , and 3 the ice machine on all levels were broken... we ended up asking the front desk and they brought a bucket to the room but the staff weren't even aware of the issue to help out their guest . Overall communication between management or contractors idk is off ... The room was nicer than the hallways and elevator so that's good . But we had our do not disturb sign on while we were gone because we didn't need anything from room service & we came back to our TV unplugged ... and this is a plug that has to be pulled hard on . So someone was in our room .... Which is odd to me . What if we really were sleeping when they entered . Just doesn't sit right . So I have mixed feelings especially for paying $600+

Kind of a weird hotel, but overall it met my needs more than other nearby DTLA hotels I've stayed in. Windows don't open. Thin walls, I could hear pipes, alarm clocks, doors opening and closing made me think my door was open. Everything was very low. The tub placement in 609 was great, although no door, just a curtain, to the bathroom. Across from the City Club was convenient. Recommend the sbux in the gas building. Service was fine, no issues

because Brandon is an amazing guide and does not get paid enough xor how much he helped us today, god bless him

My critique is on Danea's Diner. Unfortunately one of my worst food experiences in awhile. Cobb salad is a classic and always comes WITH grilled turkey or chicken breast, at Dinae's you have to pay extra for it. Plus the salad was like a halfof a Cobb size and you pay the same amount as a large salad anywhere else. Our friends fried chicken was RAW!! Fries where soggy. The waffles, also cold. I normally don't go out of my wait to write reviews, but in this case I had to. Btw, I'm a Chef.

It's a lovely hotel. The front desk people are very friendly. The room was nice, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfty. It's a great place to stay if you are in downtown LA.

I always wanted to return to see what they did with this old Standard Hotel and they did a beautiful job with the lobby. The decor, the feel, they even have live music on Thursdays, Spectacular talented musicians. I will suggest to go one of those thursdays you won't be disappointed. The food is simple but so great. Their pizza are the best I had for a long time. I will go back just for that. I hope they will renovate the pool rooftop as classy as the lobby. It will be worth the visit. Good job overall.

I stayed here for just one night and it was absolutely amazing! Someone immediately checked me in at the front desk and my room was very clean. The lobby is GORGEOUS, with a fireplace outside, and the icing was the live jazz band playing at the lobby! I think this is only on Thursday nights. The only negative is the 25 charge for destination fee was unnecessary given the high price I already paid for my stay. Would stay here again!

It's such a pity because the lobby is really pretty, but the people here are crazy. We couldn't sleep during the whole stay because of the extremely loud noise, they basically let people have parties all night with drugs and screaming. We complaint several times because of the noise and they basically did nothing. Also smelled like marijuana so much and the air conditioner didn't work at all. If you're looking for a place where you'll definitely won't be able to sleep at all, here is perfect for you :)

Zero stars. The Delphi improperly charged me for a reservation I did not make. I had perused their reservations, but not reserved anything and had received no confirmation of any alleged reservation. I later received an email from them about my (supposed) check-in the next day, and I immediately called them. The manager I spoke to was incredibly rude and refused to listed to what I had to say. Disputing the credit card charge took months and was to no avail, as the Delphi apparently just wanted the money and would not respond directly to the information I had submitted to support my account. After this experience and the terrible service and treatment I received, I would never consider staying at the Delphi.

When it comes to mac'n'cheese, I'm a tough grader. Delphi makes the grade. Their Mac is amazing. Like really friggin' amazing. The parmesan cheese is buttery and smooth. The breadcrumbs are a revelation, and the pasta is perfectly al dente. Don't miss this dish! BTW, the dirty martinis rock.

Like the standard but worse in every regard - laundry service, room service (none), the diner is worse, the bar is worse :(

The place is a bit of a dump. Dirty carpets and a rundown feel that should cost considerably less. Staff were pleasant enough.

I stayed here because I used to absolutely love the standard. First off the pool was under renovations so we had no access to their pool. The elevator was slow and terrible. It was around 9 pm on FRIDAY & SATURDAY and they called my room to have the speaker turned down. Mind you the speaker they provide has a noise limit! Now what happened on Friday was unacceptable! When a security was called to our room because of the noise complain he allowed himself into my room and started taking pictures of my friends and I and the room claiming we smoked in it and there was smoke residue when it was really only foundation from my sponge that I had placed there. The security told me to forget about my deposit because of the "burn". Either way it was a total invasion of privacy and I had never ever had an instance like that when I stayed there before when it was under the standard management! Next morning I wiped off the foundation and talked to house keeping. The only thing that made up for my stay was when I spoke to the house keeping manager and explained my situation and she was so understanding she offered upgrading a room but it was fully booked. She did offer to take care of my boyfriend and I's breakfast & offered free checkout. She deserves a raise if it wasn't for her I probably would have never went back and had such a horrible taste in my mouth! The security staff definitely needs more training because that could have resulted in a law suit for invasion of privacy, entering the room without permission and taking pictures of myself and my guests.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. First off, I enjoyed my first booking there, so much so I ended up getting an extended stay 4 additional consecutive times. I probably would've stayed longer had it not been for one particular employee named Aaron who I came close to slapping his stupid face. The last extension I was trying to get, I was told the incidentals were $100/night. I checked my account and saw I had over $300 so I said okay I'll come pay it, mind you I had already paid for the room. I came downstairs to take my dog on a quick walk when he comes running outside as if I had left without paying or something. He demanded I come back right away to pay the incidentals and treated me like he thought I wouldn't pay it, even though I had already extended my stay with them not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 separate times, all consecutively. I tried to pay the fee and he suddenly says it's $385 now, as I'm trying to explain how he had told me it was $300 and that I didn't know there would be an additional fee and that he should've told me beforehand he bursted out "if you don't have the money then we can just cancel your room and refund you". The refund undoubtedly wouldn't have taken place immediately. This I know because to this day, I have not received any of my incidental fees. It says on their website that incidental fees will be returned within 7 business da

The hotel is very interesting, the lobby has a really nice feel and is decorated nicely. As soon as you go into the elevator, the vibe definitely starts to shift. The elevator seems somewhat janky, and once you get to the floors itself, it just feels odd. My friend described it as a similar feel as the shining. The floors seemed run down, very different from the lobby, in fact, it feels like a totally different hotel once you go past the elevators. The room was way smaller than we expected. The strangest part however, was the shower faced the bed, with a clear wall dividing the two. There is definitely a lack of privacy in the room, as if you are taking a shower, anyone standing in the room can completely see you. There is a tv that is propped on a standup pole coming from the floor, it's held kind of low, but the bed is also low . The bed is smaller than expected, probably like a full size bed. The room is definitely simple and plain, which makes the hotel seem extremely overpriced for what it is. The room feels super basic and small, and with an added lack of privacy, it was definitely disappointing as it was $200 a night. Like I said, when I first entered the hotel I was pleasantly surprised by how pretty the lobby looked, but once you move past the lobby it truly does feel like a different hotel. There is one restaurant, which is a diner and open late. The staff there is friendly and had good knowledge of the menu, we got the food fast and it was pretty decent.

$55 for valet parking after spending $200 on a hotel for 1 night. They take advantage of this service knowing LA is not a great place to park. Ridiculous!

I recently attended a 3-day training class at the Delphi. From Check-in to Check-out the staff was amazing. The meeting services. I experienced were top notch. The meeting room was spacious to accommodate our group, The F&B for the meeting was so fresh and tasty, I helped myself to seconds. The guest rooms have plenty of space to move around. I like the long table to use as a desk and to spread out my laptop, briefcase, and training materials. I would definitely stay at this hotel when back in the area. Michael

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I asked for A partition to cover the glass for the shower. So you could shower without the other people seeing you naked. I received a painter's Tarp that they duct tape to the glass that would fall every ten seconds. I asked for a microwave when I checked in at 11 And was told they would get one to my room as soon as it was available. Microwave never arrived. The walls were dirty when I wiped him off. With the towel to get rid of the black scope marks, the walls were shown to be white. Not a light brown. The whole hotel had a musky smell. The second day we went out and got some food and drinks only to find out that the fridge didn't work it just kept things at room temperature. The Air conditioner/heater was almost usable if you changed it the room would go from 72 to about 120 in no time. The shower was as you only had two Temperatures boiling water and ice water, this made showering a risky game.

0/10 came here because I wanted to check out the new diner and see the changes of the hotel from when it was the standard. Parking is $20 ridiculous but I guess, the valet workers don't want to work or have a clue on what's happening. Restaurant plays good music but the service is thrash! Host was super nice but the waiter didn't know what he was doing at all! I asked for water, never got it, asked for cheese on my eggs never got it, ask for fruit for my 1 year old son never got it and lastly ask for fried on my sandwich got my sandwich with a runny egg and a fried egg on the side lol! Talked to the manager he apologized and was very accommodating, he understood and made sure we were taking care of but it's still a huge disappointment. Then We go to get our car from valet and he was trying to charge us for overnight parking then as we are leaving they parked two cars in front of us so we had to wait to leave. Just all bad!!!! Do not recommend, eat somewhere else and the food was just okay.

Worst four star hotel ever!!! The room has like NO quality furniture!!! Everything is soooo cheap!! TV stand is furnished like a rod on the floor, no head board, no bed frame, basically the bed is like on the floor!! Ughhhh.... beddings even have hair on it, one small bedside with no plug to charge. I have to put my phone on the floor in order to charge. I requested to cancel my stay after 2min checkin the room but the front desk denied my request after the complaint I made. Breakfast is also extra $20 for each and it is not buffet style.

Had drinks here twice and very impressed. Incredible atmosphere; bomb chicken sandwich; cool decor; especially love the aloe cocktail. Hidden gem in DTLA. Friendly bartender.

This was the strangest hotel I've ever been to in my life. There is no actual place to park specifically for this hotel, which makes unloading your suitcases up their entry stairs (with no ramp available) very difficult. The public parking next door is $25 a night so be prepared to pay since they do not validate. The entrance and lobby downstairs is so misleading. It smells like a 5 star hotel and has modern decor and a nice coffee stand and what may be a bar (I didn't explore the lobby much) but once you enter the elevator to go up to your room, it will become clear how not modern and not updated it really is. We were provided a room on the 5th floor and immediately when getting out of the elevator, there is a damp feeling to the air and it wreaks of cigarette smoke. Once we entered the room, it felt even more damp to the point the sheets and pillow cases felt sticky. The bathroom was the most odd part about it, there is actually no real door to the bathroom, lol there is what feels like a sliding closet door, and the other side of the wall is straight up clear glass :) so that while you shower or go #2, the person you stay with will get a full view of everything you're doing :D (this was so weird and uncomfortable to me, I can't stress it enough) the tile in the bathroom gave me public park or elementary school dingy dirty vibes. the bed is less than a foot away from this clear glass with the shower lol and there is all of one chair and one small weirdly shaped garbage can. While we were provided "clean" towels upon our stay, they smelled like autozone, probably were rinsed in a washing machine with no detergent because they simply didn't smell good at all. The next morning after our first nights rest there, we asked for towels and were given them after an hour of waiting for them and about 4 calls to the lobby for reminding. I will say the staff did change our room after we complained of the smell and damp feeling, but it wasn't much different than the first, we experienced the same things just on the 9th floor instead.. The view is nice, that's about all I can say I enjoyed about this hotel. Pictures are pretty misleading. Never again.

The hotel is nice the room was amazing but the Velaire parking was horrible. One of the workers hit my car and now they're trying not to pay for it when I have a video of my car before I dropped it off to them. There was not one scratch on it and now the manager that took three days to contact me is saying they do not have any evidence of their worker hitting my car. This is not over. I will make sure you guys fixed my car also the worker was driving the cars like a crazy person. I even told the worker you shouldn't be driving the car so fast. I will never go back to this hotel because overall the management is not trying to help yet. I'm still waiting on a email from them for the insurance and this happened on June 18!!!!!!

If you can avoid this place please do; let me start with the positives.... We woke up in one piece.... Now to the negative, first and foremost, if you're staying over night get ready to pay $50-55 A DAY for parking, also when it comes to parking don't listen to them when they say "just press the link sent to you through text it comes right to us" because it doesn't, apparently the link I was provided isn't connected to the valet yet you can tip it but the valet people don't get it so I'm curious to where my money went. The room is a decent size for a downtown LA hotel room, the bed needed some breaking in to get comfortable (had my daughter just jump on it for a bit); I don't know if it was bed bugs or the wool blanket making us itch and leaving miscellaneous tiny specs on the blankets (we haven't started itching yet so hopefully it was the wool blanket). For some reason there's a glass wall that separates the shower and the living area so that means you see eeeeeeverybody that showers so beware getting this place with people that want privacy in the bathroom... probably not the place to bring your grandparents. We didn't try the diner that we heard so much about because everything else was so annoying and we just wanted to leave, btw there's an additional $25 "resort fee" (even tho it's just a building downtown) you get charged for 2 canned waters in the room that are suppose to be "complimentary" (seems counter productive), the gym (so whether you use it or not you're paying for it), and for a expresso machine and microwave available on request.... Honestly would've been better off just commuting from home to LA daily, would've saved close to $400 dollars. I'll add this to the list of hotels to avoid.
