Would give zero stars if I could. They had a sales rep at King Soopers, using high pressure scummy sales tactics to try to get me to sign up. The way he talked confused me. He didn’t make it clear that I was signing up for something until he asked for my card. I stopped and clearly told him “NO, I don’t want to give you my info”, told him NO several times. Then he started begging, told me it was close to his birthday and that he didn’t get any sleep, and he tried to bribe me (which the way he acted, I don't think he was supposed to do that). I felt really bad and figured I could just cancel later instead of making a scene in the middle of the store. That was a big mistake, it was just a scummy scam tactic to get my info. Got home and immediately called their number to cancel the subscription. First call didn’t even go through. Second call got someone who barely spoke a word of English. I didn’t understand 90% of what she was saying, so I clearly stated that I don’t want this paper, just delete my whole account, cancel all of it. Barely caught her trying to pressure me back into a subscription. Through her jumbled English I heard something along the lines of “but your family might like the articles and want to sign up, just try, yes?” These people are too stupid to understand NO apparently. So I called my bank and told them that I don’t want this subscription, and if they see future charges, those should be flagged because I already cancelled. Gives me the impression that their paper is poorly written, why else would they need to use high pressure scam tactics to sign people up? If they had quality journalism, don’t you think people would be flocking to them? Might be down $16 on an already tight budget. Reading other reviews, and my stomach is just dropping. Will update my review if the hassle continues next month.

Stop. Calling. Me. I get multiple calls a day and despite telling the agents to stop calling / remove my number from the call list any time I do choose to answer - I keep getting calls. And blocking the number doesn't help - it's a different number every time. Word of advice - get your news elsewhere, or be prepared to never hear the end of it if you ever cancel your subscription.

If you register to receive their newsletters you can't unsubscribe. I've tried every way possible including calling them. The unsubscribe page they send you to says you are, but they keep emailing all of them from every angle they have anyway. This is illegal. I'm developing a class action lawsuit on their unsubscribe features feature not working.

Won't stop delivering a free paper despite the fact that I've asked 4 times for them to stop. It creates wasted time and environmental resources since I have to collect it and dispose of it. I'm certainly not interested in the garbage being published since they got rid of all their good journalists in the name of corporate profit.

I signed up for a three month subscription, called to have it cancelled and they said it would auto cancel. Before the 3 months was up they added two more additional charges, even after I called to have my payment information completely cancelled and removed. I have spent many phone calls and e-mails trying to get refunds for the charges, especially considering I haven’t even received a paper in weeks. The Denver Post is scamming people and rude with customer service, placing many “refund requests” in which they never got back to me.

Sold my number to a call center who refuses to take me off of a call list. I have received 100+ calls from their representatives trying to get me to resubscribe.

Total rip off sales man at my kingsoopers said it was a $1 a month instead I was charged $16 and when I tried to cancel it the sales man on the phone tried to upsell me again with another package I had to literally yell at him to cancel my subscription because who in their right mind pays $16 for newspaper.

I would give zero stars if I could. The guy at the market who signed me up said it was a free trial, and cancelling was easy. Both of those were a lie. My card got charged $21, and when I went through setting up an online account, it said the option to cancel online wasn't available. So I had to call this number. I tried calling two diff days, each day waiting on hold for about 20+ minutes, only to get transferred and get put on hold again. Finally after talking to someone, they tell me they can't refund my money even though I never got one copy of their paper to my house even though I had been subscribed for 5 days. Not that I want it, anyways. What a racket. I'm so disappointed because I'm a huge advocate for printed news, but this is not the way to do it. Trapping folks into a subscription and making it near impossible to cancel. Just wow. EDIT: After opening a case with the Better Business Bureau, the Denver Post refunded my subscription and I was able to cancel it. So I would highly recommend going this route if you're not making progress trying to get ahold of them by phone. As for the nonstop harassing phone calls, I noticed that if I blocked all the numbers they try calling from, I won't get them anymore 😆

I was surprise to see the Denver post in my driveway yesterday morning. (SUNDAY). I never requested this service, nor do I want it. So, I called this morning to advise the representative that I am not interested in their paper and to not send me anything. She claimed that I was up for renewal from 2023. Baloney, this never happened. She kept on telling me about all the options available. Apparently, she doesn't understand English. Again, I explained to her I do NOT want their paper.

I am a long term subscriber (almost 50 years). I changed my paper subscription to digital when their prices went through the roof (understandable). But when the digitsl costs were going up 15% every 6 months and finally reached $60/month it was too much for me considering how much free content is available BUT HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY THE $6.00 SUBSCRIPTION FOR TWO YEARS THEY OFFERED. IF YOU ARE A SUBSCRIBER, CANCEL TO GET A REASONABLE OFFER CROOKS!!!!

I just tried to take advantage of the $6 for two years subscription. My credit card was charged but the system will not let me see the paper. It continually asks me to buy a subscription, which I already did. I called and they said my subscription will start in two days because that is what people are choosing!! Really??? If I don't get access in two days, I will be pestering them like they pester others to sign up only I will be wanting a refund. Complaints to the Better Business Bureau will follow.

It would be nice if u actually received my paper. I have received ONE newspaper in 25 days. This place is a rip off.

Absolutely do not subscribe to Denver Post. They market that you can manage (cancel) subscription online through your account and this is false. I canceled my subscription and proceeded to get DAILY solicitor calls to resubscribe AFTER I asked them to remove my number from their call list 3 separate times. They claim they want to support local journalism but their approach ensured that I will never consider giving them my money again. Other review stories are even worse.

I give them 4 stars on good local coverage. Zero stars for customer support, which is now offshored. I tried calling 3 times yesterday, to be answered by an unintelligible Asian who couldn't answer simple questions. You have local coverage but not local customer support? Another reason to consider dropping this paper after decades of subscriptions.

SCAM! Do not sign up for this when you see a "friendly" guy offering you gift cards if you sign up for the denver post. He made it seem like you could cancel no hassel but this was a HUGE mistake. It took months to receive the paper and then I tried to cancel and they keep charging me for something I've cancelled. I receive weekly phone calls and letters in the mail about upgrading or needing to make a payment when I cancelled. Biggest waste of time. Do not get sucked in because you won't be able to get out.

Everything, taking money out of my account for 3 months, no paper delivery, how do I get my money back,got the subscription at king soopers whom gave a coupon discount for groceries of which I never got the chance to use as well as my bank account statement shows Denver post snagging my money, I called the 832 3232 number which is in another country, no one has anwers and they will not call back. This is a scam. I also called king Soopers spoke with supervisor at customer service bank,they say that I have to talk with Denver Post. No such luck, I am seeing all these one. Star recommendations. I would rate 0 if I could.

For some reason this paper started coming out of nowhere. Didn't order it don't want it. But the most amazing thing is that two weeks ago the idiot paper boy flung it up onto the porch and broke a box. I called 2 weeks ago to wonder as to who's going to pay for this and I have yet to hear from anyone. Don't order this paper don't have anything to do with this paper and if they break something good luck to you

Horrible unethical company. They kept raising the cost of a daily subscription until it was $3172.00 a year for a 95-year-old woman. Meanwhile over the years the paper just keeps getting smaller and thinner and less relevant with less news. Also, they send 13 special editions at an additional $13 each, which you can call and cancel for one year and then they start up again. And that's how the Denver Post treats a good customer. She still wants to read and hold a newspaper, so I switched her USA Today for about 1/6 that.

The liberal rag is delivery constantly late or no paper at all. Price increases every few months.

They are not even worth one star. Don't visit their booth at any expo. It's a scam! Was told I would get a physical newspaper and digital access. It was a lie! I have called them several times now and they keep telling me the same thing and still no physical newspaper has been delivered to my home. Not everyone wants to sit in front of a screen! I only signed up because I thought I was going to get a physical newspaper. Scam artists beware!

We have had the paper for over 20 years. We just got another letter that they are raising the subscription prices, which I can understand. But, I think it is totally illegal to have to "opt out" or they will automatically send you and charge you for 13 "Special editions" at $12.99 each if you don't notice that they are signing you up instead of asking if you want them and then sign up. = Someone should take them to court over that illegal act.

I subscribed to a loss-leader temporary digital rate to read up on the Broncos. When the rate expired and I was paying the full rate, which is way more than I want to pay for a digital newspaper for a city I don't live in, I called to cancel. Had to tell the poor cancellation CSR nearly a dozen times that I wanted to cancel before she finally agreed to do it. I understand those are her job instructions, I don't blame her specifically, but jeez louise, what a terrible impression to leave. I will never resubscribe.

I have not received my Sunday paper for the past six weeks. Everytime I called and spoke with someone e, they apologise but nothing g is done. This has happened to me twice in the past ten years. This was the third time. I get sympathy, but the problem doesn't get fixed. I am disabled and don't drive much. I e been reading the Sunday paper for decades. Now I can't get the one thing I look forward to every week. I'm a senior with very few pleasures and a limited income.

Do not fall for the subscription guy in the grocery store - Safeway. if you try to cancel they refuse to refund any $$ even tho I stopped after 5 issues. What a racket

I signed up innov 2024. Got 2 papers. Even after theu called to see if I was getting my paper, I got one paper and delivery stopped eventually canceled. So about 4-5 months later they said they would reimburse me $28.0]. I thought i would try the sunday paper but nope. In 2 months, i havent recieved that. Cancelling for good. If i could give them a lower rating i would.​

Horrendous company. They continually raise rates of subscriptions, consistently fail to deliver the paper, and when you cancel your subscription they nail with you hidden fees without telling you and send you to collections. Just don't bother with these people. There's no point.

I've paid for, and have not received, my Sunday Denver Post delivery for 5 weeks. Representatives promise same day redelivery, resumption of service and that management, including Circulation Director Brian Trujillo, will call me, of which none has happened. Today I spoke to an agent from the Philippines who said it was "escalated." I've contacted the Better Business Bureau who helped resolve the same issue 2 years ago when delivery lapsed for 3 months.

I am so frustrated with the Denver Post. Warning: Read the fine print and pay attention to your bill. If you receive the "special editions" you will be charged extra for them. Each cost $6.99, This amount is subtracted from your bill but not on your invoice. You can only cancel it by calling in. You eventually get behind on your bill and they cancel your service with no notice. Then when you do call the find out what is happening, they will demand more money to restart you service. This is what happened to my 83 year-old mother. When she called in, they made it so confusing, telling her she had 2 different accounts and she owed money now. The customer service person I talked to simply demanded money and would not transfer me to a supervisor. And its the senior citizens that support this paper at a rate of $565.00 a year!

Let me preface my review by revealing that I have subscribed to The Denver Post for more than 40 years. Although I have frequently disagreed with the ideological slant of the paper, I continued my subscription mostly because I enjoyed a physical paper to hold while I drank my coffee. Then, two weeks ago, I received a notice that my subscription price was increasing to $202 per month! Repeat, $202 PER MONTH! Astronomical! When I looked at past prices, I saw that the price has been skyrocketing for years, but I just didn't notice. When I called to complain, the reply was phrased diplomatically, but amounted to 'screw you.' So long, Denver Post

Scam subscription practices. In a moment of weakness, I gave my info to one of the obnoxious sales people at King Soopers (Smoky Hill and Himalaya). He told me I would receive a call to confirm subscription. I never did and I've never received a paper. I noticed I've been charged twice a month for months. I called customer service to get cancel and get a refund. Customer service told me I would receive a call back within 48 hours. The next day I started receiving a paper. However, I never received a call. I called back a week later only to find out my subscription had been extended. Now, allegedly, my subscription has been cancelled and I'm supposed to receive a call back. I'm not betting on it. Cancelling the card that is being charged. I'm resigned to not receiving any refund at this point. Lesson learned.

I just cancelled my subscription after almost 14 years. My monthly bill just went up from $16.25 (already too much) to $25.96 for online plus Sunday delivery. It was not delivered last Sunday, not the first time this has happened. When I called, the automated system promised to deliver it the next day, but it was not. (For context, we used to get it at our individual doors in our condo building. It devolved to inside the building door - or sometimes outside the door or outside our gate 40 feet away.) Meanwhile, the paper has shrunk, they've terminated a lot of good writers, and it's mostly ads. I'm not sure why advertisers would waste their money this publication. So the Post person I spoke to on the phone this morning had a thick accent I couldn't understand (and I'm pretty good with such things), was rude when I asked her to repeat and hung up on me as soon as she confirmed that she would cancel my subscription, in the middle of my sentence as I was commenting on the lack of delivery. She was not interested in any feedback, just in doing the basic job. I don't know how they expect to stay in business this way!

Do NOT work with this company. I worked with them on an advertising project and all they wanted was the money. Rather than putting schedule together for monthly launches of content, they rush to push all the advertising out at once so they can collect a check. Poor communication and no opportunity to reconcile their mistakes. Do NOT USE THEM.

A pure scam. They sent me these "free" newspapers i didn't read then they sent me a postcard saying i had to cancel or be charged - and arbitration if i didn't like it So i called and cancelled something i never asked for and then reported the scam to the state attorney general Someone put this business out of its misery

SUCH A SCAM!!! I received the newspaper every day for a month after signing up. Then, after a month, I stopped receiving it. I thought I had probably signed up for a month so I didn't look more into it. Recently checking my bank account, I realized that they kept charging me for the past three months $30.33 every month without sending me anything. I called them to get a refund and got explained by a manager that they don't do refunds. This is TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!! My subscription is now cancelled and I don't think I'll renew it anytime soon.

Horrific. Had a table set up at a Rockies Game. They don't give any information about the subscription other than the monthly cost. Cool No Problem. And then a month occurred where I was charged twice. When I called to handle the issue, I was told too bad, they don't refund, even though I was double charged. Unbelievable.. and the content is trash

It's a sad day when a prominent newspaper company has not been able to deliver the paper on a daily basis in months. After numerous calls about delivery issues we finally cancelled our subscription. The problem was exacerbated by receiving three or four missed deliveries at once and then handled rudely by the customer service. I'm paying for daily deliveries. Who wants to read 5 day old news? The cherry on top is their no refund policy when asked about pro-rating for all of the missed deliveries. It's just a matter of time before these archaic print companies go out of business.

I've been a subscriber for many, many years. I called last year to change my "Sunday Delivery Only" subscription to digital only. It worked for about 6 months, then in March I started getting the Sunday Paper (actually delivered about 1-2 times a month). This subscription fee is about $24/month. I looked at my credit card bill and I was charged 3 times in November and 2 times in December. I called yesterday (30 minutes on hold) and a supervisor told me that they were 'special edition charges'. A special edition that was charged the same amount as a whole monthly subscription? Our conversation didn't go well especially since he asked me "why did you ask for a supervisor" when he answered the phone. I only asked for someone in billing but I was happy when it was automatically escalated to a supervisor right away. It was a very heated discussion and he told me that the only way to opt out of the special editions was to contact them. How do I know I will be billed for this? Apparently there are instructions on page 2 of the newspaper on the bottom that indicates the procedure for opting out. What??? No credits to my account, so this means in November I paid almost $70 for the digital version and the 4 papers that were delivered. Really? Print media including the Denver Post is dying on the vine and Denver Post business practices (subscriptions) are suspect. My mom is on my digital account and she reads the news on her iPad every day, and that is the ONLY REASON I am continuing my digital subscription. The @AuroraSentinel has great reporters and nopaywall. Please support local media, but THE DENVER POST.

I work for Conesco Storage Systems. In August of 2023, we renewed our yearly subscription for $632.15. Shortly after Conesco renewed, we stopped receiving the paper. I called to report a missed delivery every day for over a week. The next week we received a paper on Monday and Tuesday. After that we have not been delivered any other papers. The deliveries resumed inconsistently and then stopped again in November. I called to complain about missing papers again and requested a refund. Our case was "escalated" and I was told a refund would be issued in July. I have called twice this month and they tell me the check is "being processed". They have no intention of refunding us the $518.55. This is disgraceful.

Everyone I've spoken to at The Denver Post has been extremely rude and unprofessional. I have a digital subscription and they keep calling to offer a physical newspaper delivery to me at now extra charge. I keep telling them no, I don't want the physical paper, it would be a waste. They refuse to listen to me, and one woman told me "just give it to your neighbor or a family member" and then hung up on me. I will be calling on Monday to cancel my subscription entirely.

absolutely ridiculous! if you cancel they will call and call and cal to try and get you to renew. it's been 2 years and they called today about a survey. I said I dont get a paper. then after the so called survey she said I would get the promotion for free Sunday service for 2 years. I told her no thanks, she says give it to a neighbor. I explain I am moving no thank you she continues to talk over me. I said no I don't know how many times and she ignored me. I finally told her that if she delivers a newspaper without asking I will be mad. I told her no. then I told her don't call me again. it shouldn't be this hard to quit the paper.

Paid for a subscription at King Soopers. Non-stop emails started to where I got pissed off. I called and asked to cancel and they wanted to know why. I said "I don't want it anymore". I was then asked why again and said the same thing. They wouldn't leave me alone unless I gave them a reason so I hung up. Now I get hounded EVERY DAY trying to get me back. They also stopped my 30 days free of which I could care less and also told me they were re-charging me for the King Soopers $5 gift card. UGH! I wish I could leave ZERO stars.

I would give their customer service a 0 if I could. I was talked into signing up for a trial at a grocery store. I NEVER received a paper. I called for a refund and to cancel the account. I was only refunded "for the remaining balance" - um. No. I never received a paper therefore I am due what I initially paid! I called back to say I want the remainder of my payment and was told I only get the balance of what's left not the full amount! Again I explained I never received any papers so I should get the full amount back. So my request has to be sent to be reviewed. My advice to everyone - do not sign up for the Denver Post unless you want your throw your money away.

Paid for a subscription; they haven't delivered my newspaper, and they conveniently don't offer refunds/ won't deliver to my house. Glad I could DONATE my money to these people.....

This is THEE WORST paper company ever. We have tried to get the papers delivered every Sunday (paying $26 a month) and rarely get 1 of them, and then we call and get put on hold for forever, just to never get the paper redelivered. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will get ripped off. Negative stars rating.

I have had to settle for reading the Post since the good newspaper THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS stopped printing. The price is outrageous for a paper made up in 14 pages with many stories from other major papers just reprinted, taking up pages not covered in ads. When I was on monthly billing to my credit card I got the paper two or three times a week. I called to complain 43 times then gave up and told them to lose my credit card, which they did. They call wanting me to subscribe again. Yesterday the pitched me by phone. I told them they had worn me out and I would do without a paper. Then before I hung up she said oh by the way you have an $84 balance. I have not subscribed or paid since December. In their dreams they think they can charge me months after I canceled. If I could give zero stats I would I subscribe to get home delivery on Wednesday and Sunday I get charged but don't get the paper. Call and complain and I told that I will be credited for the missing paper. Told them I want to cancel but was told that they would give me a discounts if I don't cancel still no paper and no discount. This paper is JOKE

They actually deserve no stars. Bought a subscription from a guy at King Soopers. Was supposed to have started 3-18-24. To date no papers. Call their customer service every day. They apologize and say it will be coming the next day which never happens. They offered 2 weeks of additional service which doesn't help when you aren't receiving anything. The place to cancel service seems to have disappeared on their website. At this point I want to cancel service and get a refund of services never rendered.

I appreciate some of the reporting and I'd hate to see Denver without any print paper, BUT they charge WAY too much and don't give credit when they fail to deliver. We got the snow-day paper 5 days late and NO CURRENT PAPER today when it was delivered. Really disappointing and frustrating.

I just canceled my subscription after a 3rd attempt because the customer service is so poor it was not getting done. I ordered multiple papers on Sundays as I was trying to start couponing again but I would only receive one so I had to call every week. Every time I called they could not find my account because my number was not associated so I requested they update it EVERY time and somehow it did not. I requested a refund and was advised they have no refund policy even though the reason I was cancelling was not my fault. I paid for a product/service and was not receiving it. I was told it would be escalated to billing to see if I could get my money back for the remainder of my subscription. Wish me luck! Personally, I would not recommend the Denver Post PAPER delivery service especially if you're ordering more than one paper at a time. The digital version was pretty nice and convenient.

Subscription department is incompetent. Phone me to thank me for subscribing when I had not subscribed. Then state that I owe on account months of backpay. If I had subscribed, would they not have gotten a payment method from me? Sounds like some unscrupulous customer service reps are trying to pad their numbers by faking subscriptions. Stay away from this newspaper until they can get their subscription department cleaned up.

The Denver Post failed ALL their deliveries except for the first one. I've had this subscription since JUNE. It is now FEBRUARY. They failed for over 9 months! No refund at all. Representatives from the Denver Post had no sympathy, reasonings behind this awful service, or ability to make it this right. Do NOT let this happen to you. What an embarrassment to Colorado.

I just found out in talking to a supervisor that the Denver Post has a policy of telling subscription customers that they are receiving thirty days of papers for their monthly subscription fee, but they are in reality only receiving twenty-eight days because of a daily surcharge which has been added under the table and is used to shorten the number of subscription days. It's hard to believe that anyone could do business like that in these times.
