Google
The cashier was very friendly. The person dropping food at our table was not friendly. Literally ran away as i was asking about the chips that were suppose to come with the sandwich. We finally just went and grabbed a couple of bags from a rack. Maybe that is one way they save some dimes! The meatball sub is pictured below as it was served. No one checjed if everything was okay or if we needed refills. The sandwhich had a nice flavor and 4 small meatballs. This sandwhich is overpriced for what it is. A price of $10 or $11 would be more appropriate. At $17 it should be two pieces this size. It is one of the most expensive items on the menu for some reason.

Google
Was hoping Dime would match the cute decor and location, but it had an awful atmosphere. Said hello to cashier taking my order and she didn’t even smile back she immediately said what do you want while rolling her eyes. Food was fine but didn’t come out with everything we ordered. The whole atmosphere was quiet and rigid, you could tell other guests vibes felt the same way. I do not plan on returning

Google
I can’t speak highly enough about The Dime when it comes to their pizza. They have the “best” gluten free pizza. I know when someone says something is the best it better be exceptional. My wife and I have tried numerous gluten free pizza options, and all I can say is The Dime’s is delicious! The fig and prosciutto with hot honey is amazing! I have also tried their regular crust pizza, which is very good. The white pizza is another favorite of ours. If you are looking for an evening on the porch with a pizza and a glass (bottle) of wine, then do not miss this opportunity. Not just another pizza joint.

Google
I usually don't leave negative reviews for places, but this place is deserving of it. I went in to grab a quick bite to go and ordered their Italian sub expecting it to be very good considering I spent $19 on it, which ended up being this slop. I cannot believe they are charging as much as they are for a sandwich that is one of the most mid things I have ever ate. Please do not go waste your money here and if you do then please do not get the italian sub.

Google
The Dime is one of my favorite coffee shops! I am always taking my camera out to DI to capture wildlife and I never go without first grabbing an iced latte from The Dime. Wonderful atmosphere, coffee, and food!

Emma

Google
Such a cute location but not a very good coffee shop. The food didn’t look or taste fresh. Baristas spent most of their time talking to each other than taking my order. It wasn’t a very welcoming environment at all.

hannah R.

Google
Rudest employee I’ve ever received service from. I had high expectations for somewhere like Daniel Island. After receiving our food we said “thank you” and this woman (i think it was a woman) just walked away. Then she came out a second time to give us the rest of our food and we made sure she heard us and we said thank you again. She continued to ignore us again. She had an attitude the moment we walked in and just ruined the whole experience. We were very kind, and just normal happy customers that were excited to try somewhere new. Really disappointed:(

Google
I love The Dime - breakfast is great - bagel sandwich and burrito are amazing with a nice selection of coffee drinks - good lunch and pizza for dinner too. This place also has yummy gelato and grab and go items. Fun beer selection. The people that work there are incredible in all respects - always feel welcomed there. Plus, it offers indoor and outdoor seating and is located right by the water and a beautiful park. This one is a favorite for me!

Yelp
Loved this spot in Daniel's Island. Great to stop in and grab a coffee before walking around the area. They have an outdoor patio area, but there's plenty of places to grab a table around the area if you're planning on eating. Inside is clean and accessible. Tables all around but majority of the menu can be for grab and go. No parking lot, but lots of parking available within the area and easy to walk to. Great place and great coffee!

Yelp
The Dime on Daniel Island has a very cool vibe and I cannot believe it's taking me this long to visit! It's right next-door to the restaurant called the Kingstide ! It's a super cute coffee shop and eatery that also serves lunch--and yes, they have pizza! They have a lovely selection of croissants, bagels, pastries, and a huge selection of coffee. The place gives off a beachy, trendy feel with cool decor and a bright, open layout. There's even a cute outdoor seating area with a fireplace and some shady spots, perfect for relaxing outside. It is perfect spot on Daniel Island to meet friends for coffee and to catch up or to have a business meeting. It's bustling with people coming & going, or people working on laptops which makes it a great spot for some low-key people watching while you sip your coffee. Speaking of coffee-- I had an affogato , and then I had a latte ..delicious. I had the soft scrambled eggs and burrata with basil and it was seriously tasty. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. You can tell this spot has been a local favorite for a while. Whether you're grabbing a latte, brunch, or just hanging out, Parking is a breeze, lots of it near the coffee shop. The Dime is definitely worth a visit and I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Stopped by after a morning walk. The place was very busy, but the line moved very efficiently. Friendly and clean environment. Drinks were a little pricey but very yummy. The outside patio seating was nice and spacious.
google avatar

Kellie P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Honestly one of the most laid back coffee shops. Indoor and outdoor seating. I love how none-pretentious this place is. I had the matcha latte that was just slightly sweet, just the way I like it. There is always a long line but it moves fast. Staff are friendly.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
Its super cute inside with out door seating as well. Their menu is quite large for being so small. I dont love the fact that there is a time where they dont serve food though between lunch and breakfast. Its quite busy on weekends but the line moves fast! Easy parking all around. They have pasteries, coffees, teas and actual breakfast sandwiches too.
google avatar

Tara P.

Yelp
This is the perfect spot to drop into for a coffee, breakfast or light lunch. I love riding my bike here to sit in the courtyard and working for a bit on the WiFi. Mic drop moment: the breakfast burrito has tater tots in it! Counter service is quick which is good because it gets busy at peak times. They recently added Apple Pay so that's huge for when you're just out and about. The inside space is loud but lots of seating for a quick meeting or snack with the kids - outside is much nicer with umbrellas, couches and a fire place! It's also walled so you're protected from the breeze off the river. Another plus is the playground right next door for the kids to work off their sugary treats!
google avatar

Dani P.

Yelp
The Dime is the perfect stop for everyday or your weekend! Many coffee choices! My favorite is the Dirty Chai Latte. Also, The Dime offers Smoothies for non-coffee or caffeine drinkers. The Dime has a full menu, fresh bakery items and many prep/grab and go items. The Dime offers GF rotating loaf and this pictured donut which is amazing, along with a few other GF options. There is also little gift ideas inside to grab. There is ample seating inside and outside! They also offer pickup ordering which is usually very busy! The atmosphere is great because of the variety in seating plus a little walking path/green area next door for use as well! The location is beautiful next to the water! It's a must stop on our weekends! Ample parking lot across the green area.
google avatar

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee, frose, breakfast and even pizza! The pizza is probably the best option on the menu, otherwise their sandwich/salad selection is pretty limited. Their coffee and smoothies are good as well! They've even got a little market area where you can purchase drinks/snacks. Overall their food and drinks are good, the menu is just limited (otherwise I'd give it an extra star).
google avatar

Rachyl D.

Yelp
I thought it was time for an update! I come to Dime weekly, and I will say while the drinks are still hit or miss on occasion, the staff is always absolutely wonderful! Would recommend if you're in the area, but be prepared for longer lines on the weekend.
google avatar

Charlotte F.

Yelp
Love the DIME! Got A smoothie and while it felt (slightly) overpriced it was absolutely delicious. Friends got a yummy iced tea and coffee. Great spot & location!

Yelp
My friends and I grabbed coffee Saturday morning at the dime, and I had been there multiple times because the sweet jessamine flower truck use to park there but they don't anymore :(( anyways I showed my friends it and they loved their coffee, Pictures is the vanilla iced latte - a classic. It was pretty large and fairly priced for how big. I got the seasonal flavor Cinnabon flavor. It was creamy and rich, and the perfect coffee for a Saturday morning push. We sadly didn't get any food but they have so many goodies, from pizzas to breakfast sandwich's and burritos. Also lots of gluten feee options in pastries, we will be coming back to try those out soon. The line gets long quick but goes by fast, there's lots of parking surrounding it. Quick heads up the do not take Apple Pay:( but I know I appreciate when I know in advance. It's close to the water and has seating inside and out but you can walk to the park or sit on a swing facing the water which was peaceful. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
The Dime is 10/10 for breakfast + lunch and a perfect place to get work done or meet up with a friend. The staff is sooo kind and friendly. I typically go for coffee and to work- the breakfast burrito is insanely good. Their wood-fired pizza is the best on DI. We love the margarita pizza & the fig and prosciutto. Could not recommend this place enough! Indoor and outdoor seating also.
google avatar

Hannah J.

Yelp
I had a great experience here! I enjoy the seasonal lattes a lot and the avocado toast was great. Dani at the register was super helpful with helping me pick an option for my meal and attentive to dietary redirections. I love the interior of the restaurant, and the location is beautiful and scenic. A staple on DI that I will definitely return to!

Paul M.

Yelp
The place was fine. The service was inconsistent and the food options a bit limited in the early afternoon. Coffee was fine. Four stars, being nice.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Beautifully located by the water, The Dime is a great coffee and snack spot. None of the menu options caught my eyes food wise, they have sandwiches, toasts, pizza, etc. I got a matcha latte with oatmilk + a honey cupcake with earl grey frosting, which was delightful. The frosting was delish, and honey cupcake tasted like a dense honey cornbread. Made for a great combo. Ambience is super cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
I'm always looking to try places I haven't been to yet so after I finished an early morning appt on DI I was looking for a new-to-me coffee shop. I walked into The Dime and was surprised by how big it was. We were about to get a big storm and folks were hunkering down so it wasn't very busy. I decided that I deserved a bagel sandwich to go with my coffee so I ordered a mocha and a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a bagel. I sat with my coffee and waited for my sandwich to go. I noticed that they have a beautiful pizza oven and you could watch the chef make the breakfast choices. I didn't even realize they did pizza as well. I love that the sandwich came out of that oven because it had a nice crunch on the outside of the bagel even after I got it back to my house. Now I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.
google avatar

Amie S.

Yelp
Delicious!!! I'm still thinking about the pork roll and cheese bagel that was the perfect size and flavors. I loved the iced chai latte with oat milk that accompanied my breakfast so well. The price was pretty good and the restaurant was very cute. I'd definitely come back!!
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Looking for a coffee shop where I could charge laptops and perhaps do some work, I did not find it in The DIME. It's a lovely spot and with the big windows on three sides, full of sunshine. But the tables in the center are without outlets and the folks inside are eating meals and drinking coffee. It's more "restaurant" than "coffee shop." I had a cortado while I pondered the next step. No complaints and still five stars - the coffee was excellent and it's a great location. Just not one that's good for working. [Review 19456 overall - 1030 in South Carolina - 426 of 2023.]

Yelp
We stopped into The Dime after dining at the Kings Tide. This was a beautiful little shop with coffee, chai, a variety of teas, and assorted snacks. Because we had already eaten, we just grabbed chai and a tea. My husband loved his chai, and I loved my tea. The tea I chose was Chamomile Rose. A unique flavor. that was perfect for the cold weather day. There is a wonderful little park nearby with trails and great views! The atmosphere is a fun little spot, busy but not overall noisy. We also went on a weekend so this might change. Please note that there were a couple pups inside so it appears to be pet friendly. We are cool with that but be aware Service was fast and friendly. We'd definitely return and try other goodies!

Yelp
Went to Daniel Island with my daughter to pick up her glasses. Lunchtime and hunger hit us. She mentioned a Wood fired pizza place-Dime, so we decided to try it out. Placed our order at the register with very friendly server. People were in and out and we were served rather quickly after we decided on our drinks-many kinds available including FROSE', sandwiches & pizzas. Rather pricey! Gluten free options are available. Inside & Outside seating is available. It was a nice sunny day so patio seating was perfect. Good thing the patio was perfect because the food-not so much. The two that had Gluten free pizza had slightly undercooked pizzas. Mine however was definitely NOT undercooked, more like WOOD FIRED-burnt! Not sure if the oven needs to be cleaned ever so often but for your hands to be blackened after picking up your pizza is not a good sign. No pictures were taken which was unfortunate! Seeing is believing! From reading others reviews, looks as if coffee and pastries are your best bet. Handicap parking is available. Beautiful view of the waterfront park areas.

Emma K.

Yelp
I've given The Dime several chances, but each visit has been disappointing in terms of service. The staff seem annoyed and it genuinely feels like customers are a bother. It makes it really uncomfortable to relax and enjoy your drink. The negative attitudes really take away the potential for this place.
google avatar

Don K.

Yelp
Always a sure thing for coffee or a bite to eat when on Daniel Island. Although not on the beaten path, go ahead and give it a go.

Michael P.

Yelp
The cashier, food server and staff were not friendly. The food was so-so. I don't usually use hot sauce, but I added hot sauce to my egg, cheese and bacon bagel to give it flavor. $14 dollars for a meh breakfast burrito .
google avatar

Ellie A.

Yelp
Went here for an iced latte and the price point was fine but the color was very light in my opinion and it was simply not sweet enough even though I had to pay an extra 75¢ for the syrup. They should have a line item on the menu of a flavored iced latte and put in 1.5-2x the flavor they put in a regular iced latte + flavor. 3 stars because it was cute in the restaurant, the pizza looked and smelled great, and the service was fast and easy.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
First time here... we did a little 'grab n' go' coffee and walked around the Waterfront/docks to check it all out. My dirty chai was great! My guy ordered a double espresso- was only served a single, so I just think maybe his order wasn't heard correct- no big deal. It seems like a great little spot for breakfast and lunch bites, pizza, ice cream- which we will try soon! A good amount of tables inside as well as a patio outside. They also have a cooler of sodas, wine, etc. I will have to peek a little closer next time but there is also a table of interesting snacks/jams. If you are lucky enough to be able to pull up to the dock nearby- great little shop to grab a few things and launch back onto the water!

Ethan S.

Yelp
BEWARE. No actual food (only pastries) between 11:30 and 12. Was in line at 11:15, got to the counter at 11:35. No breakfast or lunch available. Seems like it should be handled differently, just a terrible (attempted) customer experience.
google avatar

Christie N.

Yelp
Delicious coffees and sandwiches. I had a BLT wrap - highly recommend. Outdoor seating is very nice. Enjoyed my visit here.
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
The DIME is my favorite coffee shop in the Mount Pleasant area. It is in a really beautiful part of Daniel Island, surrounded by a small park with a dock. The coffee shop it's self is bright, spacious, and offer is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Not only do they offer coffee and tea, they also have ice cream and food available as well. The lattes are fantastic and the customer service is always great. I love the design of the coffee shop, the interior is absolutely adorable!
google avatar

Haley S.

Yelp
This is such a cool spot. Right on the water where there are walking trails and grassy areas to sit. I love their breakfast-- the ricotta toast is wonderful. And they sell Ruby's New York Style bagels, which are my personal fave! Service is always really quick. It tends to be pretty loud inside, but they also have outdoor seating.
google avatar

Nicholas P.

Yelp
I came here with my partner on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite to eat before a walk around town. I'm happy to report that we'll definitely stop by again. Echoing its sister establishment The Kingstide, The Dime has all the same interior coastal charm. The coffee menu is wide, and there is a variety of local snacks and goods to buy as well. My latte was good, and the Italian sandwich met expectations. My partner and I have sweet tooths that we can't resist, so we bought an ice cream sandwich as a small dessert. That was maybe the best part of the meal. The food does not impress as much as its nextdoor neighbor, but the options are much more casual anyway. Besides, what you're coming for is a coffee and the quaint outdoor seating or the view by the water -- or the ice cream sandwich.
google avatar

Teresa F.

Yelp
The Dime has evolved and improved over time. Now offering freshly made to order pizzas and sandos (including gluten free!). Still great cortado and iced selections with homemade syrups for unique flavors. Gluten-free loaf of the day is usually fantastic. More reasons to live this spot next to one of the prettiest areas to explore in Charleston. A bit loud indoors but patio offers a more quiet option.
google avatar

Chrissy F.

Yelp
Pizza, poke, wine, lemonade, and then some! The Dime slings fourth yummy espresso drinks and the tea they steep is very flavorful! I tried their green tea, very good choice to try. The poke bowl's rice was creamy and dreamy plus liked that they didn't shy away from the tuna - I like when it's a generous amount like that! Next time I wanna try their espresso drinks. Cute little spot near the water with walking trails to enjoy as well. Friendly crew working. Keep up the good work!

ToniAnn B.

Yelp
Need another cashier and more staff on weekends -long wait times Food is good though
google avatar

Annette W.

Yelp
Worth the wait!!! Great food. Hubby loved his breakfast burrito. Definitely one of the tastiest smoked salmon bagels I've had.
google avatar

Scott J.

Yelp
What a cool new coffee spot! I met a friend here for coffee and then decided to stay to do some work. They have seasonal syrups! Seriously, who does that??? The most recent is their peanut butter syrup. The barista suggested putting it in a mocha for a peanut butter cup taste. It was delicious! While I was working I grabbed a bite to eat. I couldn't decide if I wanted to do savory or sweet. Their cinnamon rolls looked so tasty. However I decided to go with the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Great choice! I wish I lived locally! This would be my go to spot to work.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
All in all, I had higher expectations for this place but it didn't quite meet them. This place does the job -- great seat selection indoors and outdoors and good coffee. My friend and I ordered Chai Latte and Matcha Latte. The ice to latte ratio was great (not stingy like at a Starbucks). I actually really liked the Chai Latte because it was not so "spicy" or "cinnamony". It had a really nice balance. However, I had to wait for a table to get cleaned and there was still a lot of crumbs all over the table and chair once all of the plates were taken away. I went ahead and wiped it myself, but I would appreciate it if the tables were quickly wiped down. I wasn't so impressed with the service either. Some of the ladies didn't feel too welcoming and felt like she was just there to get the paycheck and serve the coffee and food. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but in the end, here I am writing a review because it's still a business. Would like to come back here to try again. But I do love how this coffee shop is right by the water and serves pizza.
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
We stopped for breakfast this morning before heading home and we are so glad we did! We ordered the avocado toast and lox and bagel as well as a honey lavender latte! It was FANTASTIC!!!! Alex was very attentive and checked on us several times while we dined outside ! The avocado toast was the best I have ever had - crushed pistachios, radish, pickled onions and olive oil and avo- DELICIOUS! Thank you for a fab departing breakfast!
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
I had been dying to check out this spot on DI for a while because the exterior is just so cute. Inside is also adorable and super fun. I loved the selection of local food products. The menu is small food-wise. The BLT wrap was not as good as I'd expect for the price point and had very little bacon on it. It was good but not something I'd ever want again. Their s'mores latte was bitter and honestly didn't taste anything like s'mores. I wanted to love this spot but I felt horribly sick the whole drive home. Also, they allowed a couple to come in, order, and hang out waiting for their order with a little dog. It wasn't wearing anything indicating it was a service dog so it was kinda off putting to see them allow an animal where food is made/served.
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
The building itself is very contemporary and bright. Unfortunately many of the prices are simply too high, especially for the indigo berry smoothie at $14.
google avatar

Madison K.

Yelp
The Dime was great! I had the matcha with oat milk and it was delicious. They added a little bit of honey and it was the perfect touch. Also, I had the blueberry muffin. YUM! Everyone is very friendly in there. The ambiance is so perfect with outdoor seating. It's super spacious inside. I will definitely be getting the matcha again and trying the pizza.
google avatar

Luis F.

Yelp
Location is a plus specially as my office is around the corner. Easy in and out - favorite any pizza and the Italian. A bit pricey for a deli type location. Service is on point with friendly staff. Great spot for light meal while kids play at the park.
google avatar

Caileigh D.

Yelp
The Dime is the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop I've ever been to! Food and coffee are both great and they even have pizza and gelato! I love their breakfast burrito (it has tots inside ) and their pizzas are always freshly made.
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
Charming! While visiting Charleston this place was a great find. It's right near the water so you can grab a cup to go and wander around the park and sit by the water. The iced latte was fantastic! One of the best I have ever had, great flavor and balance of milk and espresso. The inside seating and decor is cute and many people were working and chatting with friends. Highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Megan F.

Yelp
The coffee is really great. The breakfast is good, the lunch is okay. I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito. Lots of fun to walk around outside after.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Nice place and the staff seems friendly enough. Good coffee and concept but they need to speed the line up to order and get your food or drinks. It was a long wait for a cuppa coffee! They need more than one register for the line and more waitresses taking orders or both.
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Decent selection of pastries and good espresso pulls for lattes and such. They have a grab and go grocery of sorts for cook at home as well. Staff was quick and friendly. If you're on DI and need a morning coffee and bite, The Dime has you covered.
google avatar

Nelson L.

Yelp
Amazing staff, management and chai! I was super excited for the addition of pizza and they did not hold back. The poké is a game changer too. It feels like there's always something new when I come in. I even picked up some incense and gifts from the market side. 5/5 stars with consistent visits and I just can't get over how they always keep things so fresh (and clean).
google avatar

Aly B.

Yelp
The Dime is a great addition to Daniel Island! Coffee shop, ice cream, pastries, wood fired pizza? Count me in. The aesthetic inside is charming and there is a selection of local goods available for purchase. The patio area is even cuter, complete with a fire pit for fall/winter.

Shiman B.

Yelp
Food was largely bland. The place was cute though. Wish real ceramic mugs come back for coffee when people are dining in!
