The DIME Store

I'm glad that this location has a variety of specific items such as candles, pillows, and soap pieces that one wouldn't commonly find inside of other businesses. This is also a convenient place to head to in terms of the streets nearby. The general atmosphere is nice as well.

They fit right in at their new location off of McKinney and have made great use of their space. They sell items like screenprints, handbags, air plants, toddler items, kitchenware and more. All if not most of their items are hand made and locally sourced. Even though most of the items in the shop are geared toward women, it’s good to be able to have a local shop like this that my wife and family would love. Every Christmas for the past 5 years I have been able to find something for at least 2-3 people and I feel good knowing that I am supporting a local business.

I’ve been wanting to visit the Dime Store (@dimehandmade) for over a year now. Their selection of goods is amazing and their prices were great for handmade items! I loved the classroom they have set up too. There were so many more things I wanted to buy than I did, but I got plenty. The customer service was outstanding as well! I received tips on other stores I may enjoy that were close by. 💜💜💜

My gift shop in Denton near the heart of the square. Features local makers from Denton & US small businesses. Woman-owned and they offer regular rotating workshops. Parking in the back can get tight during busy hours but on weekdays and early afternoons it’s easy to visit and browse. Staff are kind and friendly.

The shop has so much joy and personality. I’ve been a long time customer of Allie Biddle from Etsy and now I can easily pick up her cards here (go pick some up. They’ll brighten your day). The employees are so kind and am so glad they’re here. It’s a drive from Frisco, but will always drop by when in Denton to check out their new arrivals

i love this store! such a beautiful curation of handmade + amazing quality products by people in the city of denton and across the state! i'll often pick something up and be amazed that it was handmade because the quality was THAT good, y'all. i've found gifts for everyone in my life here. highly recommend!!!! Incredible customer service. I placed an order online and requested that they please ship it same-day so that I could receive the item for a bridal shower 4 days later. They did and it arrived a day early!

This store has such a variety of lovely handmade things to choose from. This year, I bought all my partner's Christmas gifts from this store and every item was awesome. I don't live in Texas so I used the online shop. Shipping was quick, the items were packaged well (including breakables), and the communication/customer service was really great.

The esthetic of this shop is delightful--calming colors, open and organized layout, locally made products throughout. Handmade mugs, cards, t-shirts, ornaments, mugs, natural, wooden toys, and other knick-knacks. I will certainly stop in on future visits to Denton and keep it in mind as a place to shop for local gifts. Prices were a bit spendy which is expected for locally, handmade products rather than factory-made. Between Eastside and Bearded Monk-across the street from the post office and only a couple of blocks from Denton's lovely downtown square--a highly recommended shopping or browsing spot in Denton.

The store recently moved to a new location, so I'm basing my review off of that! (The previous location was still close by and had a bit more space and I do miss the chalkboard wall from the former store had.) When you walk into the store, you are surrounded by handmade gifts (mostly) from different artists all around Denton or Texas local. With great lighting and pieces everywhere, you will walk out inspired. There's a great "card wall" I think is a unique feature to the store and against the other side they have another walk to display art prints. Plenty of artwork to purchase! Will be coming back when they release more spring/summer products! I just love them being local and getting to see what they have available.

I gave thee stars to this adorable little store because it is stinking cute! My only issue is that I am over curated little stores with over priced handmade items.

I love this little shop. The makers work as a co-op together for the betterment of the community and other artists. The owner is local, friendly, and a supporter of our community. I love to shop for unique handmade gifts here. Such a sweet little gem for Denton!

Love this store and its amazing collection of handmade goods from local makers. Great gift shopping for family and friends, though you might spend a bunch on yourself too. Also hosts super fun workshops!

This place is adorable!! I didn't get a chance to take photos, but the cute storefront definitely caught my eye! They also have their own parking spots which is always nice. The Dime Store has an awesome selection of handmade and local goods. Everything is neatly arranged and it's so great to look at how creative people can be! Definitely stop by if you're looking for a souvenir, a special gift, or if you just want to take home a piece of Denton. Also, to my pleasant surprise, they have this really neat coloring corner. Free coloring sheets with crayons and colored pencils for you to use - perfect opportunity to color your stress away!

Love the new location on McKinney! I wanted to buy some Christmas gifts from local stores this holiday season and they made it so easy. They had several options of bundled gift items, already picked out and wrapped for you. So convenient!

I stopped here on a whim and I am so happy I did. All hand made items: cute cards, beautiful art that can be purchased in prints of different sizes, candles, jewelry, and much more. I will definitely go back.

Love this store! Many unique, cute and fun things that were made locally. Great for gifts or treating yourself. I especially love the soap and bath items, and all the Denton oriented things. Shop local!

Beautiful shop! We specifically were looking for a Denton sticker and were sent to The Dime Store by the girls at Scrap, nearby. While we didn't find what we were looking for, we definitely enjoyed our time browsing their great store. This is an independent store with stuff you absolutely will not find in chain stores. They have home decor, clothing (including Denton shirts), baby clothing and toys, bags, greeting cards... The gal at the register was so nice! I noticed that she was knitting and we ended up talking for a while about knitting and yarn stores. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this store and would love to visit again! ***Btw, the name of the yarn store I mentioned was Hill Country Weavers on Congress! The one in FW is Jennings Street Yarns.

Local store with local to Denton artists selling their arts and crafts. Everything is either handmade or original art. One of the best things is that you can support local artists. They are all independent artists. I don't live close by but will stop by every time I am in Denton!

If charging $25 for a 5 inch square piece of sanded wood and calling it a "cheese board" is what you're into then this is the place for you! Everything was so extremely overpriced. $160 for a canvas dufflebag?? No thanks! I get supporting local artists and such but this is just plain insane! Time to wake up, undo the man bun, wipe off some of that hipster mustache wax and come back to reality!

Absolutely in love with this adorable little shop! The owner is a maker herself and just so sweet! There's a great selection of items from baby, home, jewelry, pottery, bath and beauty. I just can't get enough of this place!

Beautiful shop with great greeting cards and print work. However, products don't rotate heavily from season so it makes it difficult to make this a go-to for gifts or splurges.
