"Problem: it’s 1 a.m. and you’ve got a wicked hankering for ribeye, scrambled eggs, and some cheesecake. Solution: The sixth-floor dining room at the Diner. This SoBro staple with an abbreviated late-night menu of its daytime heavy hitters stays open until 2 a.m. on weekends. And if you’re looking for a late-night round of booze, it’s served until close." - Kellie Walton

"The diner is the latest from WOW Hospitality, opened in East Nashville in mid-May, a huge restaurant with a VIP area, an elevated bar dubbed the Rainbow Loft. It follows a familiar popular formula, serving craft local beer, “boozy frozens,” and “frunch,” Friday brunch, but the menu is a fun mix of classic diner food like meatloaf and burgers and inventive twists on Southern staples, like goat cheese tartlets and tabasco-fried pickles." - Eater Staff

We went for breakfast at The Dinner as a second choice, since we originally wanted to have crepes, but the place we had in mind was too crowded. What attracted us to The Dinner was their cappuccinos, which we absolutely loved. The place itself is very nice and cozy, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, we were surprised when, even though cappuccinos were offered on the first floor, we were seated on the fifth floor because we were a group of 9 people. When we ordered the cappuccinos, we were told that they only served them on the first floor, so we had to go down, buy the drinks, and bring them back up to our table. The service was friendly, and the waiter gave us some recommendations, which was a nice touch. However, the food didn’t meet our expectations. The mimosas we ordered had no foam, which made us think that the champagne they used had been open for too long. The kids ordered waffles, and although they were fine, they were nothing special. Of everything we ordered, the gravy with biscuits was by far the best dish: flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs were dry, and the bacon wasn't crispy enough. Many of the dishes lacked freshness and moisture, which made the overall meal a bit bland. Overall, The Dinner has potential, but it could improve in terms of food quality and customer service, especially when it comes to beverage availability and dish details. It’s not a place I would return to, even though the ambiance was lovely.

I recently visited The Diner Nashville, a unique six-story establishment located on the corner of 3rd Avenue (around the corner from Broadway). The interior was impressively clean, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I ordered the barbecued chicken club with fries. While the barbecued chicken club was a bit messy and didn't quite hit the mark as the best sandwich I've ever had, the fries were exceptional and definitely stood out as the highlight of the meal. The service was fast and friendly, adding to the positive experience. Prices were reasonable, and the bathrooms were well-maintained and clean. Overall, The Diner Nashville offers a decent dining experience with great service and good value for money. I would definitely consider visiting again, especially for those fantastic fries!

Google
I’ll give 2 stars since the waitress was attentive. However the food was nothing to rave about. The wings for an appetizer were good, but we were served blue cheese that looked like vomit; See photo attached. When we asked the waitress about it, she said it’s homemade & that’s how it’s supposed to look, and that everyone complains about it. The cheese-steak sandwich was decent but the crinkle fries were very thick therefore not cooked on the inside. The Nashville hot chicken wrap just tasted like frozen chicken fingers from the supermarket. The food also came out in about 5 minutes after we ordered; which was suspicious. Overall, not a place I would return to

This was more suitable for me than some of the commercial bars and restaurants. You can't go wrong with a small diner. The food was good and they have their own varieties of shakes and drinks.

Fantastic Breakfast Experience at The Diner – Highly Recommend! We had an all-around great experience at The Diner in Nashville, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made for a wonderful start to our day. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and safe, making it the perfect spot for both locals and visitors. Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply fantastic! Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast or just a bite to start the day, The Diner has it all. The breakfast options are delicious, filling, and made with care. Everything we ordered was flavorful, and the portions were just right. If you're hungry for breakfast in Nashville, this is the place to be. And of course, if you’re a coffee lover, you’ll be happy to know that The Diner has you covered! The coffee was fresh and tasted amazing, giving us the perfect caffeine boost for the day ahead. Overall, we loved everything about our visit – great food, excellent service, and a perfect way to kickstart our morning. Highly recommend stopping by The Diner for a top-notch breakfast experience!

Unfortunately this diner for breakfast and brunch was quite disappointing. We ordered the following - Biscuits and Gravy and the Chicken & waffle entree. Food was okay, but nothing memorable. What was memorable was the service he had which was not great. I am usually VERY patient. We were set to sit on the 6th floor which was mainly the bar and high table tops which is fine but due to the high table tops we chose, we felt the server was disengaged. Our food came out quick, we had some additional questions but our server was too busy talking to another employee so I went to grab her attention and let her know our eggs came out wrong. She looked annoyed already. There was another item we needed but she was on the opposite side of the bar sitting out talking with the employee again looking out the window as if she didn’t have tables to attend. We just needed simple things such as water refills and by the time she asked if we needed the check-together or separate, we told her separate and eyes were rolled… Overall service wasn’t great and food was nothing special. We went to other breakfast/brunch spots that were the same price and better food. THE ONLY reason they are getting any stars is because the ONLY employee who was making the coffee was so kind, humble and made fantastic coffee drinks for us. We tipped him greatly since we know that he was being overworked and customers were treating him poorly due to the wait in coffee but he was running a lot of items..

Had breakfast on the 6th floor. Breathtaking views of downtown near stadiums in a quaint diner. A weekday morning so there were no crowds. From out of town so I expect on weekends and on game day this place is bonkers. Bar was wide open, tables had mostly college age people. Attentive and friendly staff. Quick service. Very enjoyable! Would come back if I lived in the area.

We stepped in here walking back to our hotel in the freezing cold and it ended up being a great memory for us. The bar is half coffee/ half liquor. I was in need of a hotty toddy for a nagging leftover cough. The bartender hooked me right up. And the muffin I got with it was a perfect pairing. The atmosphere was quaint and quiet. A much needed find after being in loud rooms for hours. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Great choice especially if you're staying downtown. They have an oyster and sushi bar on the 6th floor and on other floors your traditional classic dinner menu. Our party was very happy with everything they ordered. We ordered the following: Spring rolls Kung pao wings (sp?) Rattlesnake pasta Lemon herb chicken Blackened Mahi Service was great. Only complaint was that a couple of us got espresso martinis that were very weak in flavor. So those were probably the only thing that wasn't up to par. They did add gratuity for our party of 6. Great food and atmosphere and close to everything.

Yelp
Great Saturday night at The Diner!! All the food was fantastic, including the not pictured dessert, lava cake & cheesecake. Service was wonderful! Overall a great experience. Would recommend for any people headed downtown

Yelp
Our experience was just A-OK. My husband and I needed a quick breakfast before leaving Nashville. Many restaurants we wanted to try had long lines, but we noticed that The Diner did not. We walked in and were directed to the sixth floor for additional seating. The sixth floor is open-air, offering a fantastic view! Most tables were occupied, so we settled into a couple of seats at the bar. There was only one bartender on duty. Although she was friendly, she seemed a bit overwhelmed. We later learned that she was filling in for the original bartender who had called out. We ordered the following dishes from her: California breakfast sandwich: $15 Shrimp and grits: $26 The California breakfast sandwich featured grilled tomato, avocado, gruyere cheese, bacon, and egg on sourdough, accompanied by a side of homestyle potatoes. The shrimp and grits came with spicy jumbo shrimp topped with BBQ butter sauce, served over smoked gouda grits. Both dishes were decent, but neither was particularly remarkable or disappointing. We also ordered coffee alongside our meals. The bartender brought me a cup and informed my husband that a fresh pot was brewing and would be available shortly. Unfortunately, my coffee was cold, so I requested a cup from the fresh batch. By the time we finished our meals, the fresh pot was still not ready, so we decided to cancel the coffees. Though it wasn't her fault, the bartender did apologize. She did best that she could. On our way out, we grabbed lattes from the cafe on the first floor, which were also just average. If you're seeking brunch with a lovely view and no wait, The Diner might be a good option.

John F.

Yelp
Typical breakfast fare with a great view of the skyline. They sat us on the 5th floor, which I appreciated for the views. Service was quick and friendly. California breakfast sandwich had good flavor with avocado and Gruyère. I always enjoy toasted sourdough. Great proximity to Broadway, if you're looking for a quick bite to start the day.

Sally W.

Yelp
The food was ok and service was fine. But the reservation is confusing because it's on a different floor (with different menu???) than walk in. It was also really cold in the restaurant when we went, so def bring a coverup!

Megan A.

Yelp
Review is based on raw oysters on the half shell and Bloody Mary. Delicious, service was good, and view from the bar overlooking the city was beautiful. If you are looking for oysters, this place is less expensive than Southern Steak & Oyster across the street!

Lynnsey O.

Yelp
My FAVORITE place to eat in Nashville. The breakfast here is absolutely phenomenal. The menu is pretty small though so I'd recommend to look up the menu before arrival. The bar is great as well they offer many kinds of cocktails and mocktails. It isn't a "typical diner." They have a 4th & 6th floor the offers views of Nashville and seems way fancier then a diner. The first floor is "diner-like" and is very good as well. They have all different kinds of vibes. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. They even gave us directions and recommendations on things to do in Nashville.

Ashley U.

Yelp
This place was not a bad option for a quick dinner. There are 5 stories so it's easy to get in without a long wait and a decent size menu for diner food. Not many vegetarian items but was easily customizable with what they did have.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Stopped here for brunch. You walk in and a hostess will let you know what floor to head up to. From there you go to the elevator and arrive on your floor. Another hostess will greet you and you'll be seated. On the 6th floor you sit at the bar unless you have a large party. We had exceptional service. Got water and coffees right away. Our server had a great sense of humour and was nice to chat with. We all loved our food. And shared a few bites. The menu is not huge but has enough and it's all made well. It's very clean and well kept. The view from the windows is gorgeous. The coffee was also good. Belgian waffle was incredible. Biscuits and gravy were amazing. The biscuits were cooked perfectly. The breakfast scrambler was also on point. We even came back here a few days later on floor 4 for lunch and again the food was great!!! Some of the best service we had.

Bob D.

Yelp
This is what you get for $12. Insulting portraits and a a dirty table. I have no idea how this place still gets any business. Skip this place. Side note, don't look around too much, it's filthy too!

Rashan H.

Yelp
It's five floors and has an elevator... super kewl. I had some of the best shrimp and grits I've had in years at this spot. Salad was fresh and well presented. Service was great. If I come back here, I'm getting the shrimp and grits again!

Mark T.

Yelp
We visited the diner in October. The weather was pleasant enough for the restaurant to have their window open to the outside. On the 5th floor, we could see and hear the activity on the street--including an endless parade of party busses and pedal trollies loaded with exuberant patrons. Our server was very attentive. The service made the restaurant seem more upscale than the typical tourist trap. The food was decent. Definitely what you'd expect from a diner.

Katie C.

Yelp
I wanted something simple. I was in town for a work event, and the food they served us at the venue was spicy and I have recently been having some trouble with spicy foods. So, I set off and decided to give this place a try. The menu said there was chicken strips with fries, and that sounded simple enough for my needs. My food arrived startlingly quickly, and was just as startlingly not very warm. Kind of suspicious. Microwaved? Not sure, it didn't taste microwaved. But no way it was fried freshly that quickly. It's dark in here. Really dark. Almost too dark to see the ants crawling across the table top in front of my food. The food wasn't bad, but it was not what I was expecting for a grand total of $19.58 with a drink. And the ants coupled with the dim conditions were a turnoff.

Tamara S.

Yelp
We give this place a 3.5, the waffles were good but the chicken could have been crispier, the omelettes were not seasoned nor was the breakfast sandwich, however the shrimp and grits were delicious and so were the espresso martinis

Ric P.

Yelp
This 'The Diner' has a hidden surprise so DO NOT be confused by the looks as you enter on the first floor! This diner has six floors of which floors 2-5 is the true diners experience. After reviewing the lunch menu we almost didn't stay as the first floor doesn't look all that inviting plus the security system was emitting a constant high pitch trill. But the hostess said, take the elevator to the 5th floor. So we did. Upon stepping out of the elevator, on the 5th floor, it was like we stepped into a different restaurant! There was a new hostess and a large seating area in a strip fashion. Nice chairs, nice carpet, and a great almost 180 degree of the surrounding area. Chicken sandwich was great. The Southern Salad with mild-hot chicken was excellent! Waitress was friendly, attentive, and gave us some tips on the Nashville scene to visit. 'The Diner' is highly recommended...

Sonia A.

Yelp
The diner is a tall building with many floors in a busy corner in downtown Nashville! I tried the shrimp and grits! Even though I think it was overpriced, it was really good! They were playing some good old 90's, early 2000's jams. The ambiance is cool very industrial kinda old school looking. Service was good! Not very friendly but attentive which is what I like. It's ok not to be too friendly as long as you're taking care of me! LOL We don't need to chat or be buddies just bring me what I need please. This is that kind of place. No frills!

Sherri H.

Yelp
Our second visit here after enjoying this place last year! Good food, fun ambiance, and great service! I would highly recommend visiting The Diner when visiting Nashville!

Darrin R.

Yelp
Table for 2 for Breakfast  We were headed to a different place for breakfast, but they had a line around the corner. We spotted The Diner and walked in off the street. We received a very low-key greeting and were told to go to the fourth floor to be seated. The greeting improved on the fourth floor, and we were seated quickly. Our server came by, took our drink orders, and answered all our questions. We both ordered coffee. I ordered the Waffle sliders, and Wifey ordered the Diner Scrambler. The food came out super fast and looked even better than expected. We both enjoyed our meal and the great service we received from Mariah. She was great, and I would definitely recommend The Diner.

Anatoli L.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch, and was happy to see Nashville hot chicken on the menu, especially in the chicken and waffle form. As I was ordering the food, I was asked if I want the chicken to be hot or mild. I asked what "hot" means, and the the explanation was that it would be 7 out of 10, which sounded acceptable to be. The food simply delicious. Crispy waffle, crispy chicken strips, maple syrup - delicious all around. Chicken was perfectly spicy, with the heat lingering in my mouth for the full duration of meal, and good 20 minutes after. I also liked the fact that chicken was not oily at all. All in all, a perfect Nashville hot chicken experience, also paired with a tasty local beer. There were lots of good looking deserts, but I managed to summon all the will power I could to avoid one. Good friendly service. Recommended.

Marie J.

Yelp
Not impressed with The Diner. We came for breakfast and I was very disappointed that they only make scrambled eggs. They have written in bold letters- no substitutions on their menus items which tells me that don't care about making sure their customers are getting a good food experience. I ordered the Egg scramble and was able to add cheese onto the eggs, but they still managed to be bland. The sausage was greasy and not very flavorful. The biscuits were just okay but tiny. The six floors of restaurant is novel but the experience is not worth the bother of having to take an elevator to another floor to get service. If it's late at night and you are drunk then this place is perfect., Otherwise, try someplace else if you want a true "diner" experience.

Henrik C.

Yelp
This is a pretty amazing restaurant with 6 floors that each have slightly different menus. 1st and 6th floor is open seating the rest require a reservation. We went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The place was not extremely busy. The menu is limited and you can only get scrambled eggs. What diner does not have different styles of eggs? We have scrambled eggs with sausage and potatoes. The food was OK. We had to ask for coffee and later ask for a refill. For a slow day, that was a bit surprising. None the less not a bad experience.

Hannah S.

Yelp
Made a reservation for brunch and came here on our girls trip. The service was really good our waitress was so sweet. The view was incredible but the windows that gave us the great view didn't keep the cold out very well. The food was excellent. The beer cheese was amazing on the cheese steak. The chicken and waffles were delicious but the chicken did have a slight kick. Over all I would definitely recommend.

Larry D.

Yelp
Nice view - awful food. Chicken tough. One of the tenders came out with breading off - see picture. Won't be back

Monique M.

Yelp
Cool place to visit. We visit after a concert and sisters closed for the night. I enjoyed the chicken eggrolls which were good. View was great

Alex A.

Yelp
It was ok, we had to do the first floor. Beer was warm. The waitress was very slow maybe because she was by herself. The diner itself had an old style look to it which was nice. If I come back to Nashville I won't be back to this place. Much better options around town.

Brooke N.

Yelp
We were hungry for some lunch and decided to check this place out. For how big it is the menu was pretty small and the service... well it def was not that great. I ordered an egg sandwich that came with home fries. It was okay but pretty cold. I assume it sat in the back for a while. I think I'd try something different next time. So many options such little time.

Joshua W.

Yelp
The Diner Restaurant in Nashville left an unforgettable impression on my last day in the city. The six floors, each with a unique ambiance based on reservations, added a fascinating touch to the dining experience. As a walk-in, I was promptly seated on the 3rd floor with no wait time. Our delightful waitress guided us through the menu, and we swiftly decided on our choices. The Georgia Peach ($12) mimosa was a refreshing start, blending Peach Vodka, Prosecco, and Orange Juice. The Hot Chicken and Waffle ($18) with a side of cheese eggs ($5) was my go to choice. Featuring Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders over a Belgian Waffle with Maple Syrup, was a flavorful delight. My lady enjoyed the Waffle Sliders ($15) with Omelet Style Eggs, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, and Homestyle Potatoes. The efficiency amazed me as our food arrived within 5 minutes. The dishes were not only hot but also delicious. While the chicken wasn't as spicy as expected, it was crispy and cooked to perfection. The honey butter complemented the waffles perfectly. The cheese eggs were amazing as well. The overall experience at The Diner was outstanding, making it a highly recommended spot for a fantastic breakfast or brunch in Nashville.

Arthur K.

Yelp
We ate an early dinner here. Drinks were superb. My wife and I dined on the 6th floor which had an amazing view. We both had sushi a la carte, plus my wife had oysters. All the food was excellent and well presented. I had a whiskey sour off the menu which was preposterously good. My wife had a Bloody Mary. The food was excellent as were the drinks. The ambience was superb, service excellent and in summary a fine early dinner. A+

James B.

Yelp
Great up stairs bar area, with open windows overlooking the city. Food ...not bad but nothing I couldn't cook (I did have the breakfast scramble so not a complicated dish). The service, could use a little improvement. Was greeted my an unenthusiastic hostess and send to second floor (1st floor was busy) with about 3 other customers. Was told to sit anywhere, (again not greeted with any sort of enthusiasm). What happened to southern charm and hospitality? I choose a table in the corner by a TV to watch the morning news and got a "look" as if I was taking up too much space however there were probably about 60 other seats available. 2 out if the 3 waitress seem to be rushing me along where as the other, she seemed to want to be helpful and did check in on me. There was a restaurant down the road called the Pancake Pantry that had a line down the block for people wanting to eat there. I'll be checking that place out next!!

Jessica F.

Yelp
Do not let the name fool you, this is not your average diner! We ate dinner on the 6th floor, so my experience is based on that level. Level 1 looks like a beautifully decorated 50s diner. The 6th floor is a more modern vibe. We don't live in the Central Time Zone, so we are off on our schedule. We are at 445/5, so also keep in mind the bar was basically empty. Our server was a nice guy, and took great care of us. He made meal suggestions and helped me decide what to order. The ONLY issue I had with them is that they don't have any bottled water. I do not drink restaurant water, I can't stand water that has a taste. I drink a LOT of water each day and I was very thirsty when I left! But the food and service made up for it! I ordered the Rattlesnake Pasta which thankfully is made with shaved chicken! It was SO GOOD! I ate every bite! My husband ordered the Louisiana Shrimp Boil, and he loved his too. Good portions, good prices, and a beautiful view! Highly recommend!

Amelia M.

Yelp
No complaints. I got a vanilla ice latte, waffle, side of home fries, and side of sausage links. Waffle was crispy and strawberries were good. Coffee was delicious as well. The ambience is so wonderful, it was a beautiful day outside and having the windows open was great! Service was ok, not bad but not amazing.

Leo T.

Yelp
Food quality and service was good and the coffee was great on the 5th floor. The cook on the food, however, was definitely not hot of the griddle or grill. My wife and I had the Scrambler breakfast. Food was a little warmer than luke warm, but not much. Couldn't even melt the butter on my toast, even when placed butter side down on top of the barely warm eggs. Seems like The Diner is resting on its reputation. Likely won't go back.

Carolyn G.

Yelp
The food was boring and overpriced for what you get They only let you order scrambled eggs because everything is probably pre made and in warming trays The avocado toast was a joke A slice of white bread with a small amount of avocado and some tomato chunks and feta cheese Had no flavor or imagination It was 14$ for the toast and another 8$ for two eggs Watery coffee to boot ! DO NOT GO HERE there are so many other great breakfast options in this city! This location is central and has a lot of potential but the owner are just dialing it in and raking in the money preying on tourists who they know are easy targets I guarantee no locals are eating there We would have been better off at Dennys

Amy N.

Yelp
My daughter and I were in Nashville for a concert and were hoping to find an Italian restaurant for dinner (her fave), within walking distance of our hotel, but were not having much luck. She happened to check out The Diner and saw that they had Chicken parm on the menu which was fine with her. We made reservations and were seated beside the window, on the fourth floor. The view of downtown was amazing and the breeze coming in was perfect. I had the lemon herb chicken and she had the chicken parm - both delish and I had an espresso martini which was also great! Would definitely go back and would recommend.

Michael B.

Yelp
The restaurant lived up to its reputation. The food was great and the service was excellent. The shrimp appetizer is a must as well as the watermelon and arugula salad. Both are exceptional beginnings to a meal

Alicia J.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch while visiting Nashville, and what a great place! There were 20 of us, and we had one remarkable server (Kayce) taking care of all of us. It was your classic American brunch and lunch fare, but really good. We had their Waffle Sliders with a Pineapple Upside Down Cake Mimosa, and their Nashville Cheesesteak with fries. The Waffle Sliders were delicious, as was the mimosa! The cheesesteak was on the salty side; a generous sandwich that we weren't able to finish. I loved the big glass windows (we sat on the second floor) that overlooked the street; an excellent people watching spot! Even though we were a large group, the service was excellent, and we were all served our food promptly. A great experience!!

Theresa T.

Yelp
Meh. Nothing spectacular or memorable. I got the chicken Parmesan. It was ok. My son got the grille mahi mahi and half of it was overcooked and dry. My son got the chicken gumbo also. He asked for crackers which were located on the 6th floor. By the time they ran to the 6th floor and got back with them the gumbo wasn't hot anymore. The sweet tea was good. My grandson got chicken tender basket. Dipping sauce wasn't even offered. We didn't get any cocktails and our bill was $97. I guess we're just paying for the location with this being located in downtown Nashville.

Lily H.

Yelp
Overall 3/5: We visited here because it was the only place that had availability for a party of our size around brunch time. There were several floors so now we see why. It is huge. Drinks 3/5: They also offered mimosas which we were excited about. Only to get them and have them be straight sugar. They were just sugar purée and hardly any champagne. You could tell because the consistency was extremely thick and it left an ill feeling in your mouth everytime we sipped it. Food 3/5: My boyfriend and I ordered the scrambler and the hot chicken and waffle. Everything was extremely bland and unseasoned. The server had recommended we go down a level for spice because there's was really spicy, and it wasn't even. The chicken on everyone's dishes were bland and dry. Extremely tough to eat. Service 3/5: Also a meh. Would not return, next time we're in town. Would definitely opt to wait for those other options around brunch time.

Grace H.

Yelp
6 floor diner with good view of Nashville and nice decor. However the food was below average. They couldn't even get waffles, eggs, and they're afraid to use seasoning. Very good and quick service.

Devi M.

Yelp
Not your typical Diner style seating. You mostly sit at the bar. Food is fresh hot and large portions and did I mention...deliciousness!! The waffle sliders and biscuits and gravy as well as the California sandwich were our choices. We shared all and left too much on the plate. Bartender was awesome friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely recommend.

Robin T.

Yelp
We visited downtown Nashville this past weekend and late night dined on the 4th Floor. Granted that it was very crowded and busy out on the street but not in the restaurant itself - moderate amount of diners. A biggie -the restaurant could use a good, DEEP cleaning. Our Server Savannah was nice - the restaurant A/C was extremely cold and she accommodated us and other freezing diners by opening the window or it would have been way to cold to relax and enjoy our meal. Thank you. Our food was "ok" - nothing spectacular. Gumbo was WAY too salty - way! The Chicken wrap and fries were average at the best. 1 glass of House White Chardonnay was a whopping $12.00 - yikes! Not worth it! Gulp.

Wonder Woman V.

Yelp
This place is very confusing. Why is it called the Diner when you cannot dine the way you want. Walked and and asked to go to the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor was a bar. I hate sitting at the bar but what to do? I wanted breakfast. I ordered the egg but asked for the eggs over easy. The waitress said that they only scramble the eggs. Huh??? I know I'm in Nashville but why ask me if i want a drink at this hour? I want my eggs over easy. lol.

Yelp
Nasty food. Gross eggs. Worst than a hotels. Cold potatoes. And burnt old biscuits. I mean who wants two day old biscuits

Yelp
Food was great! Service was spot on! The ambiance was perfect! Nicholas D. was our server and bartender! He should be a Manager, he was certainly on his game with everything including recommendations from the menu choices! I have been in management for 40 years before I retired, I wish any one of my 42 skilled trades employees had the company's best interest in mind and represented where I worked as well as Nicholas represented "The Diner"! BRAVO! Well Done! 2nd to none food, service with a smile!

Yelp
Very surprised that this place has only 3 stars! All of the items we ordered were great. The bartender offered us amazing service and made my SoBro coffee to perfection (salted caramel and mocha latte). My entree was the creole Mahi Mahi, which was a very generous portion of fish that was cooked perfectly and laid on a bed of grits with a Cajun sauce. The grits were amazing and the cajun sauce was perfectly flavored. My dad got the Philly cheesesteak and loved it, he said it had lots of onions and red peppers. His side was the mashed potatoes which were buttery and delectable. Last but not least was the shrimp and grits, which are highly recommended. They have the same creole/Cajun sauce as the Mahi and come with about 8 very large spiced shrimp. I would definitely recommend this place. Great music too and decor too! Definitely the vibe you want from a diner in Nashville.

Yelp
The Shrimp & Grits was soooooooooo good I was shocked... As a foodie, the price was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was good aka casual bar diner type. Wow wow wow. I highly recommend this place if you want to try the true southern shrimp & grits!

Yelp
A toilet. I'd rather eat my own poop as it would taste better. I once ate a taco from Del Taco I dropped on the street and it was still more tasty. Save your money and eat your belly button lint as that would taste better.
