Visited The dinersaur for the first time today. It's a small bakery with standing room only. They have some dino themed treats and wonderful pastries for all tastes. We tried the cc cookie, oatmeal cookie, dino sugar cookie, & a raspberry linzer cookie. though they were all good my favorite was definitely the raspberry jam linzer cookie. The jam in the cookie was sweet but at the same time tart; it was soft, light, and delicious in everyway that counts.

Very fun little pocket bakery. Friendly staff that was patient with my kids as they had a hard time making choices. Tried the ceasar sandwich, was very good but my kids couldn’t bite through the PERFECT crust on the baguette bread. I wish there was seating inside but it’s perfect for what it is!

I’ve been a diehard le dinersaur supporter since the sandwich days and oh man I FINALLY got an opportunity to visit the shop after moving out of state RIGHT when the spot opened, and stalking them online for years, i’ve had friends ship me treats..savoring their deliciousness even days old. I’m back in AZ and I made it in there today and was blown away by the little details she puts into curating the space. I know how much time and effort goes into what looks like a simple, warm and welcoming little bake shop (and it’s not easy!). Everything from the trinkets to the treats were phenomenal. I had to practice some restraint and got 5 different things to taste over the next day (let’s be honest they won’t last long). I’m just thrilled to be able to see this little bake shop thrive..you’re doing great y’all! p.s. my grandma said that was the best shortbread she’s ever tasted!

Google
Great selection. Lunch sandos, pastries, cute grab and go. Little outdoor tables. Kind hearted staff. Great spot.

The baby loved her brontosaurus cookie shaped chocolate chip muffin. I had a small bite and it was delicious. The cheesecake, dare I say, is better than Costco's. I know that's a bold statement, but it was ridiculously good, creamy cheesecake, and the homemade honey graham cracker crust was the best I've had, second to my aunt's. The lemonade I had was very good, low sugar. The baby loves her dino coloring book and her sticker with a dinosaur pen.

We got there, expecting a cafe but it was actually way smaller. We didnt mind though, it was cute and smelling the freshky baked goods and seeing them make the items really sold it for us. The dinosaur cookie was absolutely amazing, it reminded me of my late grandmother's but sweeter and with frosting. The Breadosaurus was not very banana, kinda bitter but soft, spongey and slightly chewy. The Butter-pecan teacookies were so good. Light and crumbly, little pieces of pecan and slightly sweet. A perfect Cookie for my tea collection at home! Overall, a decent experience with great treats.

Google
So, So good. For me, this is the best pastry chef in the valley - all of the cookies and cakes are crazy good and original. I wish it was closer - I would get my fix every day if I could. The sandwich options are fantastic too - the tomatoes on the tomato sandwich were fresh and tasty. If you are nearby, just go. It is basically a pickup place - so be aware of that when visiting.

Google
Was very cute and super tasty went with my family and friends everything tasted so good my favorite was the ube tres leches cake. My mouth is watering thinking of it would recommend to anyone who like dinosaurs or not

Yelp
Heard that this bakery was really good, so glad that I was able to try it while being in the area! Super cute bakery! They have lots of baked goods, scoops of cake, and merch! We had the scoop of cake since they do not have whole cakes available unless you preorder it. The German Chocolate scoop of cake we got was really good! Love how moist the cake was and it was not overly sweet. The key lime pie was reallyyyy good!! I can't wait to try out the other pies next time. The chocolate chip with sea salt flakes was chocolatey and a bit harder than I would have liked. They have these cookie letters you can get. Thru take a few minutes to bake if you need them day of. I was able to call in to tell them what letters I wanted and it was ready when I arrived. I got one name and one happy birthday phrase and it was $5. There were so many baked goods I want to try so I cannot wait for my next visit!

Yelp
Cute Dino dessert concept in the heart of Phoenix, though not every flavor was a hit. The order: Savory sesame Key lime pie slice German chocolate cake scoop Chocolate chip cookie What hit: They were able to hold an order just by calling in. They key lime pie & German chocolate cake scoop were very tasty and the cookie as well. What missed: Would skip on the savory sesame, just wasn't for me. To me, the price wasn't exactly worth coming back frequently . Another drawback was the parking. I felt like the location was hard to get to during lunch hours and parking in the complex was difficult.

Yelp
I have had treats from Dinersaur from a local coffee truck but this was my first stop into the store. We were welcomed in and it's a cute little spot. There isn't any tables inside and can get cramped if there's a few people in line. They have multiple different cookies, breads, cold items, sandwiches. We really enjoyed the Banoffee as I haven't found a local spot that sells it and it's amazing from here. The oatmeal iced cookie was chewy and fabulous. I cannot wait for another stop in to try everything they offer!

Yelp
We originally thought Dinersaur was a classic diner serving eggs, soups, buffalo wings, fries--typical comfort food. But after doing a bit of research, we realized it's actually a small bake shop. They offer a variety of cookies, pie slices, and small cakes, all with a playful dinosaur theme. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed (my kid who loves EVERYTHING dinosaur didn't care for it, either) and don't quite understand the hype. Maybe the buzz comes from their limited hours and daily stock, which makes the place seem busier than it is. It's also a very tiny spot--five people inside feels like you're packed in a sardine can. Here's what we picked up during our visit (along with some cute dino stickers): - Chocolate Banana Breadosaurus (dark chocolate, no nuts) - Stroopwafel (butterscotch) - Key Lime Pie - Dino Sugar Cookie (shortbread with whipped royal icing) None of the baked goods really stood out. They were fine, but not so amazing that I'd go out of my way to come back. Definitely not a "must-visit" in my book. Also, seeing a fly chilling inside the baked goods case--on a dropped cookie, no less--was a big turn-off. Eww. Sadly, even if we're in the area again, I don't think we'd return.

Yelp
I don't want to brag, but my husband spoiled me with a birthday cake from here over the weekend. I actually want to brag, because he also bought me additional treats to enjoy! This is the cutest little bakery, and I've been a big time fan since I moved to Arizona back in 2018. When it was time for our 2 year wedding anniversary and everything was on lock down, I wanted us to have a cake to really celebrate. It was beautifully made and so so delicious. We came back over the weekend, and it was the cutest shop with dinosaurs everywhere! I picked up a churrover, an oatmeal cookie with vanilla bean frosting, and raspberry jam linzer cookie! Everyone was so nice and helpful! As for the cake, my husband got us a chocolate olive oil cake with a chocolate pudding, and marscapone frosting! This is such an adorable shop and it's such a plus on how yummy it is! I highly- HIGHLY recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Can I give 6 stars? We got basically one of everything and I wish we got more. The baked goods were delicious!! We really loved the oatmeal cookie, the churro, the chocolate chip cookie. I will say we didn't really like the black sesame cookie, it gives a savory/ sesame oil flavor, and not sweet like we had expected. The Ceaser sandwich was BEYOND good. It also came with chips and a little tea cookie. We fought over the last bite of the sandwich. Everyone inside was very sweet! We got terrific service. It's a cute little shop! The only thing is there's no place to sit and enjoy all the treats! We will definitely be back to try different goodies!
google avatar

Linnette R.

Yelp
This place is great! I was craving something sweet and my cousin suggested this place. Love the theme and their pastries. I ended up getting several things. Banana bread, a churro, tres leches. There is something for everyone. The people are helpful.

Yelp
I just want to say first and foremost, Genius! Genius name, concept, and goods! This little spot is tucked away in a plaza with a huge parking lot adjacent. Cute neutrally decorated spot. Honestly the biggest draw was the dinosaur cookies. When you're traveling with dinosaur obsessed kids this is the place to spot. They also had other baked goods such as a peanut butter pie that we also purchased. We also explored their non baked goods merch. Very cute. Staff was polite and friendly. Overall great little spot.

Yelp
I first discovered The Dinersaur at First Place Coffee, my favorite coffee truck in the greater Phoenix Area. Having sampled the banana breadasaurus and churrover (popover X churro + vanilla custard filling), I had to check out their brick & mortar. The Dinersaur offers lunch items in addition to their many baked goods and everything is made fresh daily! Their "eggies snack box" is filled with brightly colored fresh veggies and a delicious egg salad. They also offer seasonal beverages (recently, I found their fall lemonade: lemon, thyme & ginger!) I was lucky enough to snag one of their holiday cookie boxes on pre-order this year and everything was beautiful and delicious! 2 dozen assorted cookies! The staff is patient, knowledgeable and so sweet! The bakery has gone through a few iterations in their floor plan. Currently, the entrance is on Thomas Rd. and all purchases are to-go. There is no seating inside. They've really leaned into the "Dinersaur" theme, as the holiday decor and a lot of merch all include dinosaurs!

Yelp
Such a cute and fun idea! My kiddos loved it. Tasted great too which was surprising. I was worried it would be dry but it wasn't.
google avatar

Rebekah D.

Yelp
This was a cute little spot. I love the dinosaur theme. Service was fine. There's lots of parking in the lot behind the building. I don't go to places if the parking sitch is horrible but there were plenty of spots available. I had just left brunch so I didn't buy a bunch of treats. They are pretty reasonably priced. The salted chocolate chip cookie was okay. It had a little too much salt, so much that it overpowered the chocolate and just tasted like a salty cookie. Super cute looking though. The banana bread was adorable. It was shaped like a little stegosaurus. Flavor was kind of bland to be honest. I think the banana and vanilla flavor should be increased, and probably increase the sugar just a bit to really make it pop. Props for being a cute theme, love the vibes, but I wasn't a huge fan of the recipes. Maybe I'll have to go back and get a bigger variety.

Yelp
This place smells amazing! And the baked treats don't disappoint. I tried a couple different selections of short bread and the chocolate chip cookie. I'd come back and would bring my daughter to try some new selections.

Lisa E.

Yelp
I personally don't understand how a full grown adult could think Dinersaur could have wings hahahahaa!!!!! But! The cakes are always a hit at a party! If you go on instagram you can get inspired by their quality. I've had questions with my orders and received a quick response through email. I've never walked in to hang out just to pick up my cakes. This is a bakery if it's not obvious. Lol
google avatar

Cherryl D.

Yelp
I'm from the Seattle area and went to Phoenix for the weekend. I needed a couple cakes super last minute for two of my daughters and called The Dinersaur, the gal on the phone was super sweet, she told me that the bakery was closed the whole weekend for an event but still was nice enough to go ahead and make my two cakes for that Saturday morning. I ordered the Tres Leches and a German Chocolate cake. It worked out perfectly, this cute little shop was literally just four minutes away from our AirBnb and both cakes were delicious.

Yelp
I love dinosaurs and snacks so I love this place so much! It was easy to find and lots of parking. Most things were still available even though I visited late in the day. It's so cute inside and the folks working there are super nice. The price is good for the quality and the service is fast. I got a lemonade, banana bread o saurus and sugar cookies. I also bought some dinosaur gifts (pen and pencils and so on). I wanted a t shirt with the cute art but they were all long sleeve so maybe next time. If you like dinosaurs this is a must visit! I wish we had a location in Utah. I hope I have to come back to Arizona for work again so I can have an excuse to stop by for more bread o saurs!
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
AMAZING! I tried their pie and I can't stop thinking about it! The strawberry pie was heavenly and the key lime was just the right balance of sweet and tart. My son loves dinosaurs so he had a blast in the store and taking pictures in the cut out dinosaur out in front. Will be going back asap!!!
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
The cutest bakery/ cafe! The decor is full of dinosaurs and cute animals as well as on their pastries! I ordered the Banoffee cup and it is TO DIE FOR! All the flavors just work well together and if you're a banana fan, you will love this item! The Staff were also super polite and helpful when choosing from the many delicious pastry/ dessert options! Please stop by for a yummy sweet treat if you're ever in the area!
google avatar

Layne D.

Yelp
The Dinersaur is a cute themed bakery that is set up to grab and go. Two of us stopped by during our time in Phoenix and sampled a few of their treats - the chocolate banana bread, dinosaur cookie, and the raspberry jam linzer. Overall the treats were tasty (especially the linzer!) and the overall theme and vibe was super cute. Service was helpful and friendly. I'd recommend stopping by if you are in the area and need a treat!
google avatar

Yelp
I put my sammie down after my first bite because I had to go find good lighting, take a picture of it, and write this review. Are you kidding? I have no idea why this is so good but I won't ask questions. I got a caesar sammie but ham instead of turkey, and dude.. the sauce is INSANE. The girls inside were so sweet and welcoming and helpful. Okay I need to go finish my sammie now
google avatar

Tonie P.

Yelp
The cutest bakery in town! My daughter loves dinosaurs so finding this bakery was a hidden gem. Not far from downtown phoenix and theres plenty of free parking. Plus everything tastes as good as it looks!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped into the Dinersaur at the request of my four-year old cousin, who was tickled by the name and the theme. There is a small, but mouthwatering, selection of baked items available (until they sell out for the day). We went at lunch so they were out of a few items, but we were lucky enough to snag the last breakfast cake (layers of poppyseed with a cream filling and lemon curd filling). We also got the cilantro spinach pasta salad, which was excellent, and the poblano veggie sandwich. Thanks for having vegetarian and vegan options! Note the diner is counter service only. There's no seating -- although it would have been nice if they had a couple tables outside.

Yelp
My new, favorite cookie shop! The Key Lime pie was divine! Popping key lime smacks your taste buds. The buttery crust was unreal. The chocolate chip cookies with the salted tops was yum yum good. I shall return!

Jarom A.

Yelp
The customer service is very friendly and I love dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are awesome! Great place for family and friends

Yelp
Have stopped in several times with Son after lunch near the Hamburger Works. They accept credit cards only, which means no cash change. Today we had the Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies and Oatmeal Cookies for later. They had other small bites including pastry, pie and cake slices for grab and go. People are friendly and product is fresh. Never had a Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie before. Definitely fresh and tasty, about $3 each. Happy to support an independent small local business! Believe the space used to be part of or next to Mary Coyle"s Ice Cream Parlor. That was also a dessert treat we use to go to as kids with my parents in the 1950's.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Calling all dinosaur lovers, his place is a must stop! The banana bread is not only adorable but also delish! Staff is friendly, space is small but they make it work. Put this on your itinerary when in Phoenix.
google avatar

Yelp
Pro-tip: Some of the items change around so it's best to check online to see what they currently have. It was a little hard to find, but the parking lot is fairly big. Highlights: Great customer service. I live 30 minutes away and wanted to bring the ice cream back to my boyfriend and they were kind enough to package it with some ice to keep it cold. I loved the variety of items that were offered and would like to go back to try more items and keep supporting their business. Lowlights: I didn't like how some of items weren't on display as you'd normally expect from a bakery, but already in paper bags and containers that hide the item. I like to see exactly what I'm purchasing before buying it. Maybe it was because there was ice with my order, but my cinnamon twist got wet and soggy so definitely not great to eat. I'm a huge ice cream eater and I actually found the Millionaire's Shortbread ice cream way too sweet, I could only eat a spoonful or two at a time.
google avatar

Adrienne C.

Yelp
We arrived a few minutes before they opened and there was already a line! This isn't a space to sit and enjoy, it's a grab & go concept. They have their standard chocolate chip cookies w/maldov salt, Dino shaped chocolate chip banana bread, Dino shaped sugar cookie amongst so many other tasty options! We grabbed a little bit of everything and ALL of it is good! That banoffee though! AMAZING! We got the chocolate chip cookies w/maldov salt, Dino shaped chocolate chip banana bread, banoffee cup, Dino sugar cookie, and frosted oatmeal cookies. This is a cute little stop for great treats but also for your little ones who are obsessed with dinosaurs like mine!
google avatar

Maile W.

Yelp
This place was so cute! Great place to stop by and get a sweet treat. I got a sugar cookie, the banana breadosaurus, and (I believe it was) the special (it was like a blue cornflower but cake). All were great! It's a good place for a grab and go, and service was fast and they were so kind while I was trying to make a decision
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Ordered this cake for my boyfriend's birthday and it was SO delicious!! He is a pastry chef himself so he has a high bar, but this truly checked all the boxes. The whipped cream/frosting was so lush and not too sweet, and the cake itself was flavorful and a great texture. Loved the crumbled oatmeal cookies too
google avatar

Lacy K.

Yelp
Went for Dino shaped treats but grabbed some other yummy treats, too I loved my Stegasaurus shaped sugar cookie with vanilla bean frosting, and the kids enjoyed their chocolate banana bread TRex. Those were the Dino goodies, but there were so many other yummy looking treats! In the fridge, there were pie slices and pudding. On the counter were almond cookies and crinkle cookies. Also, on the menu were sandwiches made to order. Instagram: @msbusyblonde
google avatar

Carlin T.

Yelp
Very cute, unpretentious bakery, lovely staff, and a good variety of goodies that remind you of those pies, cookies, and cakes in the Bon Appétit magazines. I love how it is an open kitchen and that right when you walk in, you are greeted by the employees. You can tell everything is made from scratch, use high-quality ingredients, and have a touch of uniqueness, whether it be in favor, layering, or appearance. Banana cream pie ($6.50/slice) was delicious (would recommend theirs over Pie Snob's or Piefection's), and the seasonal strawberry and plum biscuits cup was both eye catching and tasty! The only downsides are that it is the cups are little pricey ($10/each) and that they are open only 11am-3pm! Wish they were closer to me and open longer!
google avatar

Marian R.

Yelp
We wanted to try 1 of everything! Everything looked delicious! Will definitely return! The the stacked sugar cookie was amazing!
google avatar

B M.

Yelp
One of my favorite bakeries of all time. Everyone who works here is so nice and attentive to customers. Lots of unique takes on traditional desserts with great execution each time. I bought a London Fog tres leches for a friend's birthday and he loved it. Once the holiday time comes around, all of the cookies are amazing and have such cute themes. The other day I bought a summer birdie sandwich, so you can't go wrong with their savories either!
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
Wow. The dark chocolate pudding from Dinersaur delicious. It came in a glass jar, and was not overly sweet. It appeared ultra high quality and went down super smooth. I wish it was bigger! I had a bite of the lavender cake as well. Truly unique, it's flavor was a little potent for my liking, but is was creative and delicious nonetheless.
google avatar

Carlos B.

Yelp
Quaint little bakery, that my friend really wanted to visit however she passed away before that happened. The footprint for the business side of the bakery is smallish which is just fine for many of the grab-and-go options. I loved the dinosaur themed baked goods. I would've loved to hear why the dinosaur motif. The service was inviting, and quick to respond.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
The place is the cutest little bakery. Their Dino themed dessert were adorable and delicious. Staff was super friendly. We ordered a Dino Banana Bread and some cookies and loved all of it!
google avatar

Selenia P.

Yelp
Wow, this place is a small business with BIG flavor! The owner makes everything from scratch. I'm doing this review after the fact so I don't have any recent pics but don't let that stop you. Give this place a shot. Their hours are short but again.... This is a small business that takes pride in their products. If you are hungry for a homemade lunch or dessert check this place out. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Meily A.

Yelp
Truly hidden gem! I first found about this place when I tried one of their pastries at first place coffee truck. I visited their store in Thomas a few weeks ago and decided to try a couple of things. They're specialty is sweets however they have a small selection of cold savory sandwiches. I had the root which has roasted golden beet, egg, bell pepper. It was good and it comes with potato chips and a very tasty tea cookie. My favorite is their dark chocolate pudding, so creamy and smooth. I also loved their key lime pie. They are open Wednesday thru Sunday from 11 am to 3pm. There's plenty of parking in the back.
google avatar

Kellie R.

Yelp
We visited later in the day so they were sold out of several things. Unfortunately they do not have coffee or do many drinks. The dinosaur cookie I got was very hard and the banana loaf was not very tasty. However I ordered a German chocolate cake for a birthday and the ordering process was easy and the cake was both delicious and beautiful. If it wasn't for the cake I would give three stars.
google avatar

Lata A.

Yelp
Ordered a carrot cake for husband's birthday and everyone liked it a lot. Cake had great flavor and good amount of nuts. Mascarpone whip was a good change from the usual heavy cream cheese or buttercream frosting most bakeries use. Just wasn't the best carrot cake we have had but everyone's taste is different. Overall a very good cake.

Tony E.

Yelp
You can get a cookie anywhere; but you can only get a strawberry shortcake with mascarpone cream in a cup or corn flakes and cream ice cream at The Dinersaur. This place is so unique and it's what celebrity chefs Christina Tosi or Claire Saffitz would make. They have a child-like, playful approach to desserts but it's executed by a masterclass-level of pastry chefs. Highly recommended.

G Y.

Yelp
I ordered a cake from here for the first time for Easter. I was so excited because the cake on their Instagram looks beautiful and I thought this would be the perfect cake to bring over for Easter. I ordered the 7 inch cake and when I went to pick it up, I thought it was a different cake that I ordered. When I mentioned it to them, they just said nope that's the same cake so I went online and saw that not only it looks different like they just did it so quickly and didn't put any time and effort into it but it was only 5 inches compared to the 7 inches that I paid for that was $55. I called the manager Olivia and told her about what happened and she just basically brushed me off and said that maybe they should've added on their website or on the Instagram posting that beware of the cake will not look exactly like what was posted. Will definitely not be ordering any more cakes from here.
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
It's aight. The banana bread is good, but not nearly chocolatey enough for a chocolate banana bread. But the raspberry jam shortbread cookie was insane. The dinosaur branding is fine, there really isn't much to it other than the name and molds used for the bread.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
Cute little place. Loved the dinosaur shaped muffins! Chocolate chip cookie was also delicious!
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite bakeries in Phoenix! They make some seriously delicious treats, so when I heard they were opening a store front right near my house, I was so excited! Seriously, if you haven't tried their treats or cakes, you're missing out. I had the peanut butter banana cake for my birthday last year and it was super cute and delicious....we ate that cake for days until it was gone. They're a little pricey, but definitely worth it. This is a phoenix must try!

Yelp
I came to Yelp today to find a bakery that was open on Sunday. To my surprise this bakery opened up just a few weeks ago in my neighborhood. You go to their website and they list what they have available today. I was looking for a cake and they had carrot cake available today. It was listed as a 9 inch carrot cake with pecans walnuts mascarpone frosting. I find myself to be a carrot cake snob sometimes. I love carrot cake that has all the extra ingredients inside it, I love to bite into the nuts or pineapple or carrots. There carrot cake fit the bill. It was so flavorful. Also it looks fancy enough to serve to guests. But taste delicious enough that I would get it for the family to eat for dessert. I have never had mascarpone frosting. It looks like a thick heavy frosting. But it's not. It's a lot lighter than you expect. And it had a delicious flavor And it tasted perfect with the cake. I also tried their chocolate chip cookies. CC with Maldon. Maldon Is artisan salt flakes -It really complemented the cookies nicely. I'm definitely excited they're in the neighborhood and I can't wait to try their lemon squares. And whatever other goodies they come up with. If it's your first time visiting like it was mine, there is parking in the back of the building and the entrance is also back there opposite of the hamburger works.

Yelp
Let me just say I love a cute local spot like this! What a hidden gem! And everything I bought was absolutely delicious and of extreme quality! Can't wait to go back! Great service. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
I absolutely love this bakery! Walked over today after a beautiful yoga class. The employees were so fun and so welcoming - and it smelled divine. I bought several of several things. and (I am a professional bakery/dessert eater, btw) everything was delicious! Oh my good night nurse. Standout (hard to pick though) was the churrover. Crazy good - like a churro pastry with lovely vanilla custard inside. But my other purchases were also crazy good: spritz cookies, raspberry linzers, and the sesame butter coins. That was my lunch. Yummmmm. Highly recommend. I am going back often, and I am going to get some of the cute dinosaur treats for my grandsons. I kind of forgot about them today.

Yelp
The Dinersaur is a creative, local bakery in the Phoenix area! Their store features cute Dino merch and snacks. Their bakery features a specialty Dino-shaped treat as well as other baked goods!
