The Dining Experience

This was my first time being here, but I had been wanting to come. My experience was really good. Morgan was my waitress and she did her thang! She was managing most of the tables by herself, and her customer service remained top tier! She was friendly and knowledgeable, and made the experience so enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back! My food was really good. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned to perfection and the bowl itself was very filling and a great combo. I have 0 complaints. Thank you so much Morgan!

My experience at The Dining Experience wasn’t what it was hyped up to be by Keith Lee. I ordered the Dining French Toast platter while my wife had the Catfish platter. The French toast was very basic, maybe a 5 out of 10, and the grits were honestly disappointing—over-seasoned when all they really needed was just a little salt and pepper. The catfish itself was good, but the sides didn’t live up to the hype. On top of that, they ran out of shell eggs, and the biscuit was so hard it was almost inedible. I did like the medieval theme—it gives the restaurant a unique atmosphere—but the bar doesn’t match the concept at all, which makes it feel incomplete. Our server was polite but lacked knowledge about the menu, which made it frustrating when we had questions about the food. Sean, the manager, was very kind and did her best to address the issues we had, but unfortunately the overall experience still left us not wanting to return. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations. The idea is creative and has potential, but the execution needs serious improvement when it comes to food quality, consistency, and staff training. For now, I’d rate The Dining Experience a 4 out of 10.

Went here today at 1pm for lunch with a few friends. Had made reservations at 1pm on a Friday..cause out never know. Hahah. Was able to pick a table and sit down. Food was delicious 😋, though it was a little wait for the food to come out...but was worth the wait. I ordered the salmon egg rolls, chicken and waffles and orange juice. A little pricey though. Yet, if you are in the Fairburn GA area.. definitely check them out!!

I would love to give a huge shout-out to an absolutely amazing catering experience! From the moment I met Kenya, there was nothing but positive energy and great vibes. I shared my vision, and the magic began from there. I will never forget the thoughtfulness, the hundreds of late-night text responses, the recommendations, the incredible level of detail, the elegance, the picture-perfect bouquet—and most of all, the customer service at the highest level. When I first decided to have my celebration, the dining experience was the very first place I went. What started as “something small” quickly grew into I really want to celebrate me. As hard as that decision was during that time, Kenya was so graceful with me, and we worked out a true win-win for us both. Thank you, love, for your understanding. Thank you The Dining Experience , I truly could not have asked for a better catering experience for my 60th birthday celebration. Your whole team is a true class act!

Fried Green Tomatoes that are truly movie worthy!!! The open, accessible and inviting floor concept not only leveled up our brunch, but the added comfort of the seating, abundance of natural light, dual televisions with captions and musical selections in the background kept the conversations going long past the food being consumed. We had the pleasure of sampling the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer, the Chicken & Waffles entree and the Chicken & Dining French Toast entree. The tomatoes were gone as soon as they hit the table, fried to a golden brown, perfectly battered and tastier with each bite. The ranch only added to our titillated taste buds. The fried chicken was so good we were able to eat it room temperature later in the day and my husband cannot stop talking about the signature pecan caramel topping on the french toast battered and browned to perfection. A restaurant worthy of its name for it was definitely The Dining Experience we needed & Q took wonderful care of all our service needs.

Finally drove over to try this place. A friend referred to me. Wasn’t a lot of people in there. Nice vibe and good music. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Josh took great care of us. Serving Brunch menu and appetizers at the time. Fried Green tomatoes were delicious 10 out of 10. Perfect crunchy seasoning and great price. Homemade ranch taste good also. Salmon croquettes were tasty and fresh. Grits are delicious, taste like chicken broth in em. Biscuit homemade and perfect. Extra $4 sausage was good but kinda small. I guess it was only $4. Fried Catfish was delicious. Drinks great. There was a little menu confusion but we figured out the difference. Could upgrade the cafeteria plating and utensils but they were adequate. Not a large brunch menu but with appetizers there was enough to try. Would love to try options from there other menu when we come back. I’d recommend this restaurant.

Food was great. Fried green tomatoes seasoned to the God's. Salmon Croquettrs nice size and flavorful. Chicken Wings seasoned well and grits creamy and salted well. Morgan was our attendant and very attentive with all her other duties. Will be back.

Do NOT order the pasta experience or the salmon croquettes (decent but very salty). Less than 1 star. Very very very rude and even more so unprofessional. I do not typically leave reviews however I feel compelled to do so. I make every attempt possible to support people of color. This experience has by far been one of the worst. From the person answering the phone whom was initially nice until gas was lite under her behind (Morgan). Do better! To the “manager” to the owner who either chose not to come to the phone and or allow his ill equipped staff to handle a concern of a customer. The food is average at best. Breakfast being better than other options. And then you proceed to hang up on my face while deflecting and being rude. I was ultimately going to give it another chance and order breakfast. Now… Never again… Save your money people, they do not appreciate you. Trust, there are better options!

I had a great experience. The food was good, prepared well and came out in a timely manner. The restaurant was clean. Not busy at my time of visit The waitress was really sweet. I do plan to go back.

We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. The pineapple mimosa was only $5. 2 out of 3 people thought it was the good. The food was reasonable priced. The fried green tomatoes were fresh and delicious. The breading was light and seasoned well. Everyone thought the food was filling and worth the price. The breakfast potatoes were not a fave but everything else was good. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual, cozy. There are cute booths, a high table, and regular tables. The menu includes breakfast/brunch and lunch/dinner entrees. There are also cocktails and non alcoholic drinks in the menu

Great place for Breakfast/Brunch! I had an amazing waitress that was very attentive even though they were the only one working today. The place had a nice crowd but wasn't too crowded. The music selection was great. The food was amazing. Definitely will come back again and also recommend.

The food was excellent. We had catfish and grits, strawberry waffles, eggs sausage, and hasbrowns. Everything was amazing! Great service. The food came quickly and hot. The price is affordable. I will definitely be back.

Our server, Morgan With The Long Hair, was incredible! Super efficient, friendly, and speedy. The food...excellent. Prepared perfectly. Simple, good, real. The ambiance was just fine. Super points for cleanliness. Overall casual and relaxed. Hubby and I are definitely coming back. Only con, it's been open for ~a year and we just found it. recommending to family and friends.

Our server was great! I believe her name was Terry. The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. The food tasted good with the exception of 2 items that weren't my personal favorite. The salmon had a bit of a fishy taste rather than a fresh taste. The grits had a broth like base rather than a creamy one (personally I prefer creamy). The waffles were nice and soft. The fried green tomatoes were amazing. Crispy and flavorful. I would go back to try other items on the menu.

The food, service, atmosphere was INCREDIBLE. And that does not even touch on how good the food was! I got the shrimp and grits; grilled shrimp. Was the right amount of EVERYTHING. The grits were creamy, shrimp beyond flavorful. The sauce they add on top of the grits was SO GOOD. The hubby got a catfish platter; he was having a hard time choosing between the catfish and fried chicken. With the waitresses recommendation he opted for the catfish. Let me just say she was right about it being the best. I've never tasted or had catfish so crisp, delicious, and moist! It's clearly a big hit since others had ordered it. I was surprised how empty it was, but they did say the weekend was packed. If you're in the area, or just visiting DO NOT PASS THIS.

Food and service was amazing! We ordered the wings & French toast, pork chops, eggs, season fries, grits, and peach/mango mimosa!

I've been going to The Dining Experience for over a year now. Every time I've visited I'm always warmly welcome. Kyesha the owner is so warm and welcoming. The service is wonderful and the food it great. Also is not a noisy location and we always take pictures at the photo area. I highly recommend this brunch spot and I'm looking forward to my next visit later this week!

1st time visiting was for Sunday brunch. They have a nice size dining area but nothing fancy in terms of decor; however, they offer on-site parking which is a plus! Upon entering we were seated immediately (around 10:30 am) and our server came shortly thereafter. There are no brunch specials or bottomless mimosas but the food was decent and the service was great! I give The Dining Experience a solid 3.5 stars! I would definitely give them another try!

This was a solid option on the southside for brunch. Food was delicious and service was attentive and helpful. It was really nice to be able to have different flavors for mimosas when ordering the bottle. French toast was perfect, didnt even need syrup!

Just a little disappointed I went today and even had a reservation for 12 o'clock and when I went, the location was closed door was locked and look like no activity. I just wish the hours were accurate and I definitely will still give it another shot to change the rating,but I hate it wasn't today

If you open at 9 am, be prepared to take orders. I was told they were working on a catering order... I called from 9:30 -to 9:45. NO apologies. The young lady face was it is what it is.. (we don't need your business) I will grant her wishes. Also, they charge a to-go fee, I will have american express reverse that for me.. I try so hard to support.. Another business...

Came on a Sunday around 10 am , didn't need a reservation and was promptly seated. This place is a lot bigger than what it used appears to be on the outside. Great music , clean and cute decor. I didn't get a drink but friend got a mimosa she liked it they have different kinds like one with cotton candy. I got the chicken and waffle and friend got shrimp and grits. I liked it ! The shrimp and grits were good ! My waffle was blueberry ! It was soft and fluffy service was prompt and friendly . Only thing they were out of Mac and cheese bummer ! But i would love to return to explore the menu

Friendly service. Nice atmosphere...music on point. Celebrating Juneteenth by buying black. Food - could've been tastier. Great presentation. The shrimp deviled egg was not fresh and did not taste good at all.

Service is very slow. The food has a basic taste. I ordered the waffle platter with chicken sausage, cheese and eggs, with potatoes. Parsley of course was on everything. It's so unnecessary trying to jazz up a plate. I couldn't taste any cheese in the eggs. For the 30 min drive it was not worth it for me. Try it for yourself. It was just a break from a home project and I was underwhelmed.

The food & drinks were great and our server Josh was excellent. The location looks great. The only thing I would say is that it's cold inside.

I really enjoyed coming here. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Very good ambiance and the staff was awesome! I will definitely be back to try a few more items on the menu.

This place is cool for breakfast. Our waiter was pretty good. I can't think of his name. Really good service. We had the fried green tomatoes, salmon croquettes, grits, and omelettes. It was pretty decent. Nothing spectacular and I visit again if in the area. The music they played was nice blend of R&B. We initially had the frozen strawberry mimosas but we really didn't care for them so they brought us out the cotton candy mimosas which was really good.

Been here 1.5 times. First time was for brunch, I had the salmon platter for $20. Now for that amount you'd think you'd get a decent size piece of salmon, but it was a slither. A well seasoned piece, but a slither nonetheless. I had a side of breakfast potatoes & eggs. My bew had the fried catfish & grits and his mom had the shrimp & grits. The Cajun sauce was lightly drizzled on top & the grits were basic. Came here a 2nd time and there were some complications with the seating situation, so we left. Beforehand, we had the salty fried green tomatoes & stale salmon egg rolls that was supposed to come with sweet chili sauce. However, we all agreed that it was definitely BBQ sauce. Lol For the price, the food wasn't worth it. The ambience was ok, but seating is tight. Givin them a three, because the servers were decent. The last server was just doin as she was told re: seating.

My wife heard about this place at work. So we decided to go for brunch. But first I would like to give a "job well done" to the bartender "Morgan". She gave us great customer service and went above her duty to make sure we had a good first-time experience. Thank you, Morgan. Well, the place is nice but a little loud, but it's not a buzz killer. The food was okay, but there was nothing to write home about. We both had the grilled salmon, but I had my eggs over easy ( they got right), but my wife asked for soft scrabble eggs with cheese, and she got hard cold scrabble eggs with cheese. But, thanks to great customer service by Morgan, she took care of everything and got my wife what she ordered. We had the shrimp devil eggs ( not a fan) , they were sweet and had too much sweet relish for me, and who put sugar on devil eggs? Stop it! The mimosas were great. But the cotton candy was a little too sweet but doable. The only other thing is the wait time. Just manage it a little better. But, I will give them another visit one day.

We finally checked this place out on Father's Day after being influenced by Keith Lee's video. The space is small but nicely decorated & we were pleasantly greeted by the host when we walked in. After being seated we were waited on by a friendly, professional, & thorough waitress named Tory. My husband & I both had chicken wings with French toast, salmon egg roll appetizers, sides of scrambled eggs with cheese, grits, sweet tea, strawberry lemonade & pineapple upside down mimosa. Let's get the small cons out of the way first: not all of our food arrived as advertised on the menu. The French toast was described as being made with brioche bread when it seemed to be made with just regular bread. The salmon egg rolls were described as being made with "fresh" salmon but were clearly made with smoked salmon which was a shame because my husband doesn't like smoked salmon & so couldn't eat it. I asked for the caramel sauce & bananas for my French toast to be on the side (I wanted to control how much sugariness was on top) but they came with the sauce on top so I had to scrape it off. Outside of these minor inconveniences we enjoyed our food which was seasoned well without being overly salty. The chicken wings had a nice crispy coating rather than heavy breading so that was nice too. We rated the food 8/10, the ambience 8.5/10 and the service 10/10. Strongly recommended!

This is the 3rd time I've ordered (through GrubHub) and they were out of items. I don't understand how you're out of macaroni and cheese every single time someone orders. Every ingredient for mac and cheese is literally in a local grocery store. No excuse. They clearly can't keep up with demand. Chicken wings are just ok. No call or anything to say, hey you ordered something that we're out of. Would you like something else? Nope, they just send your order out with whatever they have. Poor service! And by the way, if you're out of things, be honest with customers upfront and put a note on your menu so people aren't ordering things that you know you don't have.

Josh is the top of the line, great customer service and a great server/bartender. The food was great and it was a great experience. I will definitely be back. I had breakfast and it was served fresh. Everything was nice and clean.

Decided to check out the dining experience in Fairburn with a friend. Upon arriving, I noticed the familiar building and remembered that I once visited this establishment but in a smaller location, I recall the service and food was pretty good. This time around the restaurant was at the front of the building and in a larger space. As I entered, I noticed the nice decor and bar I was greeted by Joshua, and he asked whether I preferred a particular seat and as I sat down at my choice of seating, there were only a few patrons, but it was close to opening on a Tuesday morning as I waited for my Friend to join me. Joshua was very attentive and pleasant so I ordered some tea as I waited. My friend soon arrived and we ordered. I had the salmon croquettes with cheese, grits, scrambled eggs and a biscuit. I found the food well prepared, hot and tasty. mydining experience went very well and I plan to return for drinks and the lunch/dinner menu. thanks to Joshua our server and the company that I keep.

Great food and excellent service. This is a gem in my neighborhood and I'm glad I stopped by. I had the French toast which was great along with the most fluffy eggs I've had in a while. Our waitress was great and so helpful. I'll be bringing more friends to support.

If anyone has seen or read any of my reviews on other establishments I'm someone who tries to be fair and honest! It pains me but not someone who try's to tear down a black owned business but sometimes you just have to hold them to the same standards as any other business. I have been at The Dining Experience four times and out of the four times only had a very good dining experience ONCE! 1st time we attempt to eat their the kitchen had ran out of a good majority of the items on the menu. So we left without eating! 2nd time we attempted to eat their a certain Tic-Tok food taster had given them a good food review. Which cause the restaurant to be overcrowded and the wait was super long. So we left without eating. 3rd time the service was slow but the server was either the own or her daughter. Who came out and explained what was going on. Gave us excellent service brought out a tasting appetizer to hold us over. We ordered their Lobster and grits meal which was excellent! (Since then have removed from their menu and no longer serving.) 4th time was today and when I tell you the service and the food was HORRIBLE! We were seated and waited for over 15- 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken. We could see the service was going to be slow because there was only one young lady working the restaurant of 10 to 14 tables. So to help her out we gave her our drinks and meal request at the same time. So we waited and we waited! 30 minutes later l looking towards the kitchen when she comes out and she noticed that I was looking very upset that we had not gotten any of our food. She turns around and goes back into the kitchen. She then comes out to our table to apologize cause SHE had forgotten to place our order into their hand held system. She wrote it down but forgot to enter it. I asked her now that she noticed her error why didn't she at least attempted to bring us some type of appetizer ie biscuits or grits to hold us over. She tried to explain that everything is freshly made to order. But we are talking at brunch time. You don't have any biscuits or grits ready? After a 5 to 10 minutes exchange she goes and gets us a (1)biscuit and a (1)bowl of grits ( it's my wife and I at the table). She ask if we still would like to order our meal. At this point I'm ready to leave but wife wanted to give them grace at this point. She reads over our order as she places it into the hand held system this time. My wife had ordered their lamb chop meal with a cranberry juice. I had ordered a salmon croquette with double sided grits and breakfast potatoes and a strawberry lemonade. Which she told me would be a dollar extra if I wanted a refill. She then asked if I wanted onions and green peppers in my croquettes. When she asked I thought it was very strange. We finally get our meals! My wife said the lamb chops were just okay. Everything was just flavorless and under seasoned! I ate only one of the dried out over fried croquettes! The cheese in my grits wasn't melted and the breakfast potatoes had no salt or seasoning on them. To add insult to Horror service they attempted to overcharge us never attempting to make it right. Attempted to charge us $45 for the lamb chops. I later found out that they up charge me two dollars for the onions and green peppers! Nickel and Dimming their customers really that's what they are doing! Then she tries to say she didn't know that the menu showed a different cost. I nor my wife or any of my family members who told us about this place will be eating there ever again! I would really like to hear or see what the owner thinks about the service that was given.

Food was great. Service was even better. Highly recommended. We were in town for a couple days. I'm really glad we stopped in for breakfast. We'll definitely come back when back in town.

I went to patronize and was very disappointed the food was not good at all. My mother and I ordered the wing platter which came with grits,eggs,potatoes and a biscuit. The food took really long to come out and when it came out it had a really fowl smell and I knew then something wasn't right. The chicken when I broke it apart the meat was very dark and the grits were watered down and had absolutely no flavor at all. I told the manager our experience and her response was the owner was on the phone and all sales are final. The manager told the owner that I didn't like the food by the way my mother and I taste it and was done. The food looked as if it was barely touched because the smell was so unpleasant. The manager offered 10% because she stated once again all SALES ARE FINAL. The 10% took off about 2 to 3 dollars; i was highly unsatisfied and will never return to that restaurant again.

Great location with ample parking. We had the salmon Alfredo and the Diner bowl with chicken sausage. The grits were bland, the chicken sausage had no taste, the salmon and Alfredo were extremely salty. The temperature of the food was great and the mango peach mimosa was delicious.

My mother and I went for brunch and from start to finish the service and hospitality was amazing. Our server Josh was extremely friendly, helpful and charismatic, the food was the cherry on top. Most definitely will return.

We got there as soon as they opened on a Friday morning and service was impeccable and food was hot and delicious. French toast was one of the best I've had in a long time and chicken was crispy and flavorful. Great place and 5 minutes away from the house.

Delicious birthday brunch. Our server, Tory, was friendly and helpful in navigating the extensive menu. I selected Grilled Salmon with Grits. The salmon was fresh and perfectly grilled to a medium rare. House grits were creamy and extra yummy with cheese. Excellent for pre-or post-workout or special occasions.

Needed to find a halfway point for a get together and was very pleasantly happy with the results. This restaurant had great service as well as great food. We will be returning

Why does the kitchen close 30 minutes before the restaurant closes?????? Really!! I know employees want to get off timely but for a restaurant that is generally empty, what's the point of the kitchen closing 30 minutes before the restaurant closes!!! I look forward to the owners reply!!

Today my Church Family and I had the best experience here. We did have a short wait due to the restaurant being crowed and us having a large group. However, once we were seated the service and food was amazing. The host was so nice and accommodating to our choir. Our server was very friendly, attentive and kind. Our food came out in a decent amount of time and everyone was well pleased with their order. I purchased the Shrimp and grits. And it was well seasoned and delicious. Also purchased two wings on the side and it was some of the best seasoned chicken around (hot and fresh). I can't say enough out how nice and friendly the entire staff was. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will come back again.

I decided to order from The Dining Experience through Uber Eats, and I was pleasantly surprised. The French toast was amazing, and the chicken was perfectly crispy. I will definitely visit in person to try more of their menu options.

We tried to patronize this restaurant but we were a party of 2. Only seating for party of 4. Make that make sense. They didn't offer a solution oh well !

I wish I could rate it higher. The food was delicious and our waiter was great! However, the manager (owner?) actually told us "it was time to leave so they could seat someone else" (her exact words). We were really confused because multiple tables were open, only one family of 6 was being seated, we had just barely finished our meals and we weren't even finished with our drinks! No apology or empathy in her tone, just an attitude of "get out". Total time from walking in the front door to being told to leave was 1 hour and 43 minutes. It's a shame. We were looking forward to going back.

Let me start off by saying, the staff was WONDERFUL at customer service. All of them pitched in to help with all the tables. Nice ambiance and kid friendly. Unfortunately, it would not let me make reservations for a party more than 5 on YELP. I called, and Morgan got us in. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back. Shout out to Josh, our waiter for a GREAT Dining Experience!

Service was spectacular, but the food overall is average. There isn't anything spectacular about the flavor of the food. In fact, it's not really comparable to some of the popular eateries like First Watch or Flying Biscuit, which I hoped it would be. With that being said, I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here. The worst for me was the grits. It's based with chicken bouillon, so essentially, it tastes like grits cooked in chicken broth. I didn't like that at all. It doesn't taste right. In my opinipn, they need to have that paired with some sort of seafood item and have a separate side of regular grits for everybody else. The ambience is nice, however, you really don't have an "EXPERIENCE" considering the fact that it's called "The Dining Experience". They need a live band or dj.

Hey I love the food, the things you do with salmon is really great. My hope is that the service will pick up and that business over all will continue to grow it's a great food spot. May not be suitable (via music) for kids but I see the vision of having a hang out spot while eating good food.

The food and service was awesome! I had the fried salmon with grits and eggs and it was fresh and tasty. I also liked the diner feel of the space. I will definitely visit again and recommend to others!

Food was very good...the service speed could have been a faster, however the waitress constantly checked on us and was professional and pleasant. Definitely worth another visit

Let me start by saying the service was stellar. Our server was very considerate and let us know when any modifications to our order was going to be an up charge. If she didnt know something about the menu she didn't hesitate to go find out for us. I ordered the fried green tomatoes. The chicken and waffles and the lunch fried pork chops with two side (sweet potato waffle fries and fried okra). The fried green tomatoes were so good easily the best ive ever had. Crunchy, flavorful all that. The meals disappointed. I ended up sending it back and ordered more tomates. The chicken had no seasoning the waffle taste like pure flour. The pork chop had no seasoning. The sides taste like it came from the freezer. The owner or manager (not sure which) came out and said she tried it and agreed the meats were cooked in the same batter and both were bland and apologized and said she would like to remake it. After the remake i still wasn't satisfied so just got my tomatoes. Originally they wanted us to pay for the remake but the owner apologized again and only charged for the two orders of tomatoes. Again the customer service was great just didnt enjoy some of the food.

We were seated pretty quickly. Food was good! Tonie was a great server! Very attentive and friendly. Definitely check it out if you can!
