The Dinner Bell Cafe

Updated 4/2023 Sill awesome 👌 We really enjoyed this small town diner. The burgers and steak were cooked to perfection! They have a lot of carryout orders so allow a little extra time for your food order.

Very friendly people and the food is very good. With your dinner you get free dessert free of charge. We got a piece of chocolate cake. That is so nice. Don't forget to go on Main street to see the old gas pumps and the brick showroom with all the neat older cars in it.

Every time I eat here, it don't matter what I order, it's fantastic! Hamburger? Great, pancakes? Great, fried chicken? Great, and I'm not a big chicken fan, fries? Great, desserts? Great. Service? You guessed it, great! They keep up on how you're doing (without being annoying, as some other places do get to that point), they get your food out to you relatively quickly, definitely quicker than most places, and everybody is also friendly to talk to, every time I go to Wetmore with my dad, as long as they're open we eat here, although we typically only make it that way when we're hunting, it's definitely worth taking a break from the freezing cold to get a nice breakfast or lunch, this is honestly one of my favorite places to eat.

Friendly staff and great food!

It's pretty much the quintessential small-town diner ... friendly staff, large portions, great food. Choices for vegetarians are limited, but meat eaters can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their daily specials are a good deal and come with a full meal of sides and desserts.

Place was clean and had plenty of seating. Service was good and attentive. We both ordered the special of the day, which happened to be fried chicken with mashed potatoes/gravy, cake, corn or beans, and strawberries or fruit or jello. Everything was extremely good! Highly recommend this cafe off the beaten path!

While visiting family in Sabetha, KS, we had the opportunity to try the Dinner Bell Cafe in Wetmore. This place is a gem, folks. And I was so surprised that there were no reviews on Yelp, yet. We had actually heard about the place on a WIBW restaurant review program. The place is large enough to accommodate a nice family dinner and the food was very good with generous portions. We had the Smoked Pork Chop with a baked potato and veggie and the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and veggie. Both dinners came with a hot roll AND dessert. Comfort food at its finest with really nice wait staff. Friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful ride out in the country. This is an extremely gorgeous part of Kansas! Also, there is a collector of some great old cars right down the street. A couple of old gas stations and a car dealership have been fixed up. There are some lovingly restored cool cars and other antiques. That was a "bonus." Sometimes it feels like there aren't too many restaurant choices in these parts, but this place is a keeper. We'll be back...

Our six year old said, "The hot chocolate here is amazing silky and smooth. As well as the Coffee and milk." She also loved the oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins. Diner Bell Cafe has a very comfy and cozy home like vibe. Its also very clean. The food was served fast and the waiter was very nice. Omelettes were delicious!

Great soul food, service is friendly and helpful. And it's a very quaint little place, like going to grandmas for dinner. Try the fried chicken!! Amazing

We drove from Topeka to Wetmore, because we heard about this restaurant in Wetmore, Kansas. Never been to Wetmore so we decided to do a little road trip and have dinner there too. The food was well seasoned and tasty and at a reasonable price. You get dessert with your meal. How cool is that.
