Cons: First, as a Diamond member, you don’t feel any different or receive any meaningful benefits. Second, the main pool and spa were completely closed due to construction, and no one informed us in advance. The construction noise starting at 7:00 AM was unbelievably loud and woke us up early every day. Despite the very high nightly rate, guests are still charged $40 for a beach umbrella, which feels excessive. Jamel at the front desk was consistently rude and unhelpful. Every question we asked during his evening shift was met with negativity, and he never resolved anything. We always had to return in the morning to get help from other front-desk staff, who were polite and professional. Housekeeping was a major disappointment. The room was dirty and poorly maintained. At check-in, there were nails in the carpet and black human hair throughout the room. Basic items such as shampoo, cups, or condiments were frequently missing and often not refilled. The valet experience was also frustrating. Even though valet costs $70 per day, staff still expect a tip every single time you retrieve your car, which feels unreasonable given the already high fee. Communication was extremely poor. When calling the lobby from the room, no one ever answered, even after waiting 3–4 minutes. This happened repeatedly throughout our stay. Pros: The lobby is very impressive. The small pool (the only one open) was slightly heated and enjoyable, although it was nearly impossible to find available chairs. The beach area is clean, spacious, and welcoming, with a nice kids’ play zone. Water stations are available throughout the property. The pool and beach staff are excellent—very helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. Overall, I’m not sure I would return to this hotel. While it has potential, the experience felt more like a mass-market resort (Meduca-style) rather than a true luxury property, especially considering the price.

We have been at this resort over 10 times now over the last five years. By far, this has been the worst experience we have ever had here. The last time we went a few months ago they had construction and we couldn’t access the top deck of the resort we came here to celebrate the New Year’s 2025 and half of the resort is not accessible and they don’t really publicize that or tell you when you’re booking the room which is very unethical. There is only one small pool that is accessible. The whole bottom deck is still under construction. If you are planning to have a relaxing time forget about it because all you will hear are drills hammering and loud machines. Construction is not set to be done until end of 2026. They also kick people out of the pool and beach right at 5pm and you’re not allowed to return. This was a new rule they started enforcing. They also do not have a bathroom to accommodate people at the pool on the top and bottom deck or the beach. The whole entire resort has to share three bathroom stalls and four toilets hundreds of people and they never clean those bathrooms, but once a week. This bathroom is located at the lobby behind the elevators. The staff has been very rude. The five days that we were here we only got our room serviced twice even if you request it no one shows I found a housekeeper just playing around on her phone on the hallway. Very unprofessional staff they are kidding themselves that they call themselves a four star resort. I also caught staff tried to overcharge me when I was ordering from the pool. Food always came cold and the drinks with the ice melted. They are very understaffed in each department and it shows. The only positive I have to say is the valet service was very fast but that might also be because I had a Lamborghini they were fetching and were getting 20 dollars each time. We will never stay here anymore unless management wants to reach out to me and make it right.

I recently stayed at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. First, I want to highlight Kindred, who assisted us during check-in. They were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful—answering all our questions, making great suggestions, and really setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern, stylish feel and very clean common areas. The location is perfect, just steps away from the beach, which made it so easy to go back and forth throughout the day. Our room was surprisingly large, comfortable, and well-appointed, giving us plenty of space to relax. We also loved the pool area—really nice, well maintained, and a great place to unwind. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return. Special thanks again to Kindred for making our arrival and first impression so positive!

I agree with a comment saying that “the hotel looks fine at first glance, but there are many small but bothersome issues and constant minor problems.” I had the same experience. I also felt that the hotel invested most of its budget in building a luxurious lobby, which came at the expense of the private room experience. The Wi-Fi in the room was extremely poor. At best, the signal was only two bars, but one bar and frequent disconnections were far more common, making it almost impossible to play games. As for mobile data, the 5G signal in the room was also limited to just one bar. I have no complaints about the service overall, it was generally good. However, the room itself was quite disappointing, with several strange design choices. For example, the placement of the power outlets was inconvenient, the air conditioner was very loud even on the lowest fan setting, and the vent was located right next to the window. The refrigerator was also very poor; it couldn’t even keep ice cream frozen, and there was barely any cold air when opening it. Adjusting the settings made no difference. The view outside the window was decent, and the bathroom’s wet–dry separation was done well. One positive aspect is the private beach, which I actually found more appealing at night than during the day.

Our christmas vacation plans were altered for many reasons not to our favor and The Dipolmat wasn't in our plans. Everything changed when I walked into The Diplomat to check it out and see what they had available. Mado took care of us at the front desk with top notch service! Everyone we encountered from the barista, to the gentlemen taking care of us with paddleboard and kayak rentals, to Chris the security guard was nothing but friendly and customer focused. The room and views from the balcony on the room were spectacular! The beach and amenities at the beach were the best I've seen. My family absolutely loved our stay and if we are ever in Fort Lauderdale again we will be sure to stay here again. We've been in 4 hotels this week and missed a cruise and dealt with an ill child amongst other things, and our time at this resort was a very bright spot in saving our Christmas vacation. Much thanks!

Google
I’m not sure why there are so many complaints. I had a wonderful experience. Exceptional interior lobby and bar area. Staff at every turn could not have been friendlier. Amenities are expensive but I was there for a conference and couldn’t take advantage of many. There is major construction on the pool area and the WiFi was limp at best. But my room and public areas were pristine. Short walk to beach. Might be a little high end if you’re the crocs family with a ton of inflatable beach floats. But for business it was terrific. Hint: save yourself major $$ on snacks and drinks and take a short walk across the street and there is a nearly full size Publix diagonally about a half block away. Buy any food stuffs there and save a fortune over the gift shops. There’s no hard liquor, just beer/wine.

Google
We booked this property expecting a nice Christmas staycation experience, but unfortunately it fell far short in so many areas. The room itself did not meet the standard one you would expect from a luxury hotel, especially given the price point. Paid extra for “ocean view” only to find no balcony and literally just a small window facing the ocean. More disappointing was the pool situation. They advertised 3 pools, 2 of the 3 are under renovation, the only one available had no towels or chairs available, making it essentially unusable. Breakfast was another letdown. Menu was limited to either an extremely overpriced buffet or a basic French toast option, with no flexibility or variety typically expected at a high-end resort. The most frustrating experience occurred on Christmas Eve. The hotel advertised hot cocoa and cookies with Santa, which we were excited about, only to arrive and be told that it required a reservation and a cover charge…..information that was not clearly communicated in advance. This was especially disappointing for families and felt misleading. Overall, the experience was so underwhelming, we left the resort early. Will not be returning to the Diplomat anytime soon or ever for that matter.

Staff is incredibly argumentative and rude. My soap got thrown out at tsa and my flight was so delayed that I didn’t get in until all of the stores were closed. There was no soap in our room and the man at the front desk said they “ran out.” How in the hell do you run out of soap when Im paying $1,200/night to stay here? I do not believe they were out of body wash. Either way, my husband had to come up with the idea for the guy at the front desk to retrieve soap from a vacant room and give it to us. That should have been that guy’s first resolve. Not to tell me that we’re just out of luck and can’t shower after a long flight and hours of delay at the airport. Additionally, the internet service is non existent. It is PISS POOR! I was unable to join important work meetings, I could not use my phone. My daughter couldn’t use her iPad. Again, for $1,200/night these are not issues about which we should have to worry. I’ve stayed at holiday inn expresses with better customer service, that actually have internet access, and that don’t “run out” of soap. HORRIBLE experience. ESPECIALLY for THOUSANDS of dollars.

Yelp
My son and I stayed at The Diplomat over Christmas. It was a great experience in large part due to the amazing concierge names Joe. He was so helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Joe planned many activities for us and gave us amazing experiences. He is the best concierge we have worked with.

Yelp
Was at the Diplomat for a week long conference. There were no issues with my stay, check in was smooth and efficient. The property is quite large with multiple other conferences and construction going on. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as cooperative and some of the outdoor activities closed early where I wasn't able to utilize the resort stuff as much. There isn't much to do around the Hollywood area, I did use the concierge service for some local attractions and Joe was friendly, helpful, and great. Diplomat Prime was a pretty good restaurant where I got to try some stone crab as the season just started this week and it was tasty. Lots of other great restaurants to try in the local area as well so don't forget to venture out and explore! If you like seafood, I'd recommend trying Billy's Stone Crab as well.

Yelp
Customer service is not up to what I expect from a supposedly upscale Hilton property. Problems starting at checkin, confusion about WiFi, lack of help with cabana reservations, and more. Two bright exceptions are Austin N. in security who helped us fix our room key situation - something the front desk did not - and Steven, a friendly, helpful server at the Playa restaurant.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
first off I want to say that I typically love the diplomat. I love the rooms. I love the amenities. I love when the lobby is decorated for Christmas. We've been coming here for Thanksgiving as a family weekend because it has everything we all look forward to. But this year we were shocked when we walked in and the lobby was under construction. The kids water area is nonexistent. The pool on the upstairs was ripped apart, no fireplace and no warnings! what happened to the bathroom amenities?

Yelp
This hotel is several decades old and is positioned right on the Ocean. It hosts several restaurants including Counter Point Cafe, Diplomat Prime Steakhouse, Point Royal, Playa Bar & Grill, The Canteen and The Hotel Bar. The lobby of the hotel has an elegant resort style theme with a beautiful pool and event center. Valet parking is expensive at $40.00 but if you can get it comped down to a flat $5.00 if you visit the bars.
google avatar

Yelp
My family in the 1980's used to come to the resort style pool and relax. Tonight I came here with friends to try out a bar called "The Hotel Bar". The Diplomat Resort has been totally renovated since the 1980's. It is simply beautiful with an elegant lobby. The valet parking is $38 and no public parking lots in walking distance. The staff was very professional and actually appeared happy to be employed here. The Hotel Bar was very fun and my friends had a great time also.

Yelp
Chevelle at the front desk was amazing!!! She made my stay so much better and was very accommodating. Thank you!

Yelp
I'm not a fan of this place. Def overrated and the staff are ignorant. The lady at checkin was clueless and that led to realizing for the price, you would expect more. I would say there are many other options for resorts/hotels where they appreciate your patronage.
google avatar

Nina T.

Yelp
This review is only for room service. Everything came cold and in a bag, plastic knives, spoons, forks. Delivered like door dash. No trolly, no real plates. What's the point? Walk downstairs do not order room service. The rest of the hotel is amazing. Prime is TOP NOTCH! I will continue to stay here because we love the dip but room service was a major disappointment
google avatar

Yelp
It is a nice hotel with beach access. It is Hilton collection. I was here for the two day conference. They divided the hotel room to two towers. So you have to remember which tower that you are staying with. The lobby is nice and tall with connecting bridges at the second floor. The conference are is located at the south of the building. Great restrooms area for conference goers. Area is clean. One thing for sure the the escalator in the conference area or elevator in the parking area are broken down or repair. Very in convenient with not much of access for fist and second floor. The swimming pool is very nice with bridge over the ground floor with second floor bridge pool. Look cool with water fall. Parking is expensive.

Yelp
This hotel is a disaster. Called ahead multiple times for champagne to be sent to room to celebrate an anniversary, requests were all ignored (why are they turning away money??) The entire hotel was under construction and rates should have been discounted as a result, it was a really unfortunate surprise to find one of the pools shut down, and the entire hotel a maze of scaffolding. The spa services were a wild experience. The nail polish was so watered down it didn't dry, and the spa showers looked like something from an abandoned building. I emailed with these concerns, no response. One star is too many.

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful!! Stayed here for a work summit and the hotel is well kept and right on the beach. The staff was amazing, rooms were clean and the views and access to the beach were so amazing!! The food was all well made and the gym was pretty decent. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area!

Yelp
We loved our stay - we did a last minute upgrade to an oceanfront room on the 28th floor and the view was totally worth it - the sunrise, the full moon, the ocean, the beach, the pools ... it was awesome. POOLS ARE NOT HEATED, which was the only disappointing part of our stay b/c the hotel said their pools are heated - my elderly dad's only wish. Every day I used the texting service to request they heat the pool b/c the day before it was cold - they would say they'd talk to the engineering dept and next day, still cold water. Other than that, the pool surface was debris-free but some areas had sand on the floor. The pools are bigger than they look on the website. There's an infinity pool on the main floor, and then a much bigger pool on the floor below. They also have two small hot tubs which were nice. The beach is just steps from the hotel. Staff were all very nice - my check-in person, the cleaning staff, the restaurant hosts and servers, and esp. the valet staff - I didn't use valet but they were always so kind to open the car door and assist my parents when I dropped them off. It was also great b/c the check-in person welcomes you with a text, and then you can use that channel for your requests which was very convenient. Room was very nice too - everything was very clean. The beds looked more like double-beds (vs queen), and one bed was really close to the wall so my dad had to squeeze himself to get in/out of bed. The balcony is great but you have to be super careful b/c there is a raised metal divider several inches above the ground when you enter/exit the balcony that I'm sure many people have tripped over - there's a warning sign. Room has a mini-fridge (no freezer) and Nespresso machine. Toiletries incl. complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. While many of the other hotels have just a valet option, I liked that the Diplomat had a self-parking option too. However both parking options are very expensive. I booked my trip with Costco Travel so self-parking was $36/day but I think the hotel charges $47/day. The 7-floor parking garage is across the street, and they have a convenient pedestrian bridge. I also liked that the room key and parking garage access card is the same. I loved having the different infused fruit water stations throughout - I saw one at the bar area, three at the pool area, and "regular water" station at the gym. Several restaurants at Diplomat but we only went to Playa which is the outdoor pool restaurant. The food was better than expected but pricey, and note they automatically add gratuity. The hostess recommended the burger, and I have to agree the burger was the best dish. I'd book our family here again if they could guarantee a heated pool.

Yelp
I came here for an awards ceremony luncheon in the conference center building. The food was good and was served out quickly. The views from the hotel& conference building are fabulous, the beach and the blue green ocean. Valet parking is expensive!!

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel! We are diamond members and we're very happy with our service! The hotel bar made one of the best old fashions we have ever had! It was a relaxing long weekend get away! The Diplomat Prime for dinner was outstanding! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Yelp
Amazing Place ! Evelyn from the kids corner was so sweet kids had a wonderful time! A great experience!

Yelp
Sandra, the kind woman I met in the lobby restroom, was such a joy to talk to briefly! It's not every day you meet such a kind soul in the restroom!

Yelp
Visited for a work conference. Overall good experience. There were some issues here and there but it's to be expected when accommodating thousands for multiple days for a specified event. The staff was nice, some even upbeat and full of personality. My room and view was amazing! Unfortunately, I was given such a room because the one I originally was given was occupied upon entry. You can see there is work being done in some areas. Self parking is okay just a bit confusing. Again, overall nice looking hotel and good experience. It can definitely be better however, I plan to visit again outside of work.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel resort to stay at or visit. I was there for an event and got to tour the hotel? They have a convention center and so many ballrooms and a lot of activities at the resort the view from the penthouse on the 36th floor is beautiful, and the penthouse was amazing and had a nice price to go with it. everything is first class at this resort.
google avatar

Pat B.

Yelp
I love this place but this visit is starting off with one missing piece of luggage. I'm literally stuck in my room at this gorgeous resort because they are looking for one of my luggage bags. This is a feeling no one like to experience. The anxiety I am going through right now isn't healthy. Update: After waiting on the phone I went downstairs and my bag was off to the side. The employee stated that I didn't describe it correctly. My response was it should have NEVER happen regardless of the brand!

Yelp
SUPERIOR service, attention, and staff during my May 2024 visit for state-wide conference. started with Antwon and his colleagues at valet, continued with Jason at front desk. great view, excellent room with W exposure. VERY pleased, and impressed highly. would absolutely recommend!

Yelp
The resort looks beautiful and makes for great photos. Our room wasn't ready at check-in time. I finally received a text almost an hour after the 4pm check in time. We had a 5pm event in their convention area and were rushed to get ready. There were no hand towels or wash cloths when our room was "ready". I did request them later. I should mention we were there for a convention. The rooms were booked months in advance. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what. If they had mentioned that the multiple times I called to check on our room I would understand. The shutters between the bathroom and beds are a bit awkward when sharing a room. Not to mention you can hear the person in the bathroom because of them. The balcony beach view was beautiful! Perfect sunrise view when it's not cloudy and raining in Florida. The hotel amenities were good. The Cafe and store were ok, just pricey. The gym was nice. I wish there were sanitizing wipes or sprays to clean the machines after each use. The paper towels in one corner were dry. The gym seemed large enough even with an upstairs cardio but it got busy fast in the morning. My friend had an overpriced massage in the hotel spa. It apparently included a very high tip. The pools looked fun. The bar was super crowded 2 nights in a row. I'm not sure why ppl felt the need to stand near the bar in groups blocking it. There was plenty of seating in the lobby and outside. The outdoor seating with the electric fire pits were SO nice! It was fun relaxing and chatting outside at night! The convention side: Conducting workshops, etc in the ballrooms are difficult when there is no sound proofing. Each session I attended was distracting because I could hear the session next door.

Yelp
Ana and Brittany did an amazing job checking us in and we have amazing views of the beach and ocean.

Yelp
The Diplomat is a massive construction zone at the moment and 1) they provide no notice on their website about that; and 2) is not worth nearly anywhere near the prices they are charging as a result. The entire previously gorgeous lobby is closed for renovation, so you need to navigate a maze of narrow dust walls. The upper deck pool is entirely closed, the upper hot tub is open but does not work. Want to relax at the lower deck pool? Good luck as the drilling above is frequent and loud. On top of that, it took most people in my group nearly 40-60 minutes to check-in as they weren't properly staffed. A man who identified himself as a manager. Giancarlo, flat out refused to help people check-in when I asked and when I told him the line was unacceptable, he just said "I agree" but did nothing to help mitigate it. He has no place being in management and what an awful way to start my vacation. Digital key never came through, many in my party, including me on random days, never received housekeeping at their room. Food at Playa is good, albeit overpriced, as you are captive. Ditto at the hotel bar. Water in the room is $9, but pro tip - there is a 7/11 an 8min walk away. I wouldn't stay here again until the renovation is done and suggest you look elsewhere too.
google avatar

Teri W.

Yelp
We just left from a weekend getaway to The Diplomat Beach resort. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and dining. The beachside was awesome. Great food with lovely presentation. Hotel rooms clean and nicely decorated. Housekeeping service was the only kink in our stay but was made right once called to report. It's a do over if back in the area.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel & location with a private beach. Our Concierge, Joe was amazing! He really helped make our Girls Trip one of the best experiences I've had.

Yelp
Hilton SHOULD disclose the fact that they are under construction before you book. The rooms have water damage, pool deck is rubble, lobby is boarded up, as of September 2nd 2024. It is under construction. A TRUE construction zone.

Yelp
We just visited your other location in San Diego, see other Yelp reviews. Quality/Quantity - What a great place to take a break from the storm! Off peak season in FL can be unpredictable, but don't worry, the storms don't usually last more than a few hours. (Two days straight for us so far, see other FL Yelps). Anyways, I had two beers sitting in the outside lounge area overlooking the pool; I am still on VACATION!! Of course I then discovered they had a pool bar at the very bottom of the property... Atmosphere - Cool HUGE space, see pictures. Your 2017 remodel looks beautiful. Service - 5 stars, everyone was friendly. Price - My wife bought me the beers, and by this time, price just did not matter. Owner Comment - We really like the Curio brand by Hilton; all beach front properties.

Yelp
Great resort! Everyone is so nice especially Jean Jeannese in Housekeeping!!! She made our ocean view room sparkling clean and was super sweet to talk to!! Jean helped make our stay delightful!

Yelp
The Diplomat Beach resort in Hollywood Florida is a beautiful beach resort with breathtaking views from up to 36 stories high. They have four on-site restaurants and an on-site grab and go canteen. There's a shop in the lobby just in cast you forgot your swim suit, trunks or flip flops but be sure to take a deep breath before looking at the over inflated prices because they are truly ridiculous. Now to talk about overpriced but worth it, the drinks at the bar are expensive, but exquisite! Our bartender was Eddy and he makes amazing drinks! He made me a spicy-margarita and my guy a rum punch, and both drinks left us 100% satisfied. The resort is beautiful, well maintained and the staff are wonderful. The concierge (Joe) was exceptional; he had such a dynamic, warm personality, he made you feel like you were part of his family. The only thing that needs to be improved on is rainy day options. We had a terrible storm come through and people were forced to come in from the beach and pools, but there was nothing to do so some guest went to their rooms but others stayed in the lobby area, and it was packed.

Yelp
Yea idk if I recommend this joint anymore. How long have they been doing construction!?!?! It's crazy we just came from a FLC convention and the check in and valet was ridiculous. A shame. The hotels prices were crazy too but to be expected. Hospitality was great though and we had a good view of the ocean. Idk though if I'm going back anytime soon. This place should be a solid 4 or 5 but they are not!!!!

Yelp
MISLEADING--AVOID AT ALL COSTS. How this property is rated a 4-star hotel and has positive reviews is baffling to me. I was convinced to book a premium high floor Oceanfront room after seeing social media images and videos depicting this as a beautiful luxury property. It was actually motel quality (possibly worse). I booked directly through their website for my husband's birthday to check in on Aug 17. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed it was a construction site, which was not advertised anywhere on their site. One of the hotel's selling point is the pools. One was completely torn up with bricks stacked everywhere and machinery all around it, which did not make for a good oceanfront pool view. Not to mention it was closed. At check in, the line was huge and they only had two people at the front desk. During our turn to check in, we noticed that the woman checking us in was giving everyone water bottles but did not give us any. No big deal. We proceeded to walk to our room and immediately noticed the walls and doors are dirty and damaged. The carpet was stained and it didn't have an overall clean appearance. I told my husband, "oh no, this is not a good sign." Everything was also extremely outdated. We opened the door and I immediately saw dustballs on the floor, then stains on the carpet. The lamp in the room had a disgusting stain, the couch looked extremely worn and dirty, but the WORST PART IS THAT THERE WAS BLACK MOLD on the walls and air vent! It's probably why it smelled terrible in there. We immediately went downstairs, showed the receptionist the images, and explained the situation. She gave us a new room that was slightly better but still had the same issues, INCLUDING MOLD. We made our way down again and asked for a refund, as it was too unsafe for to stay there. Another young lady helped us out, and initially she said could not refund us in full due to their 90 day cancellation policy. I explained to her that I was not canceling due to changing my mind but because of the lack of safety. Eventually we asked to speak to a manager, and the best they could do was penalize me for the first night and refund me for the remaining of the nights. The refund amount didn't seem right, and when I questioned it, they figured out that the "system" overcharged me $150 accidentally. Very convenient. Also, for 3 nights they had placed a $600 hold for incidentals. I've stayed at plenty of 5-star hotels and have never had such a high hold. From checking in to disputing a refund, we wasted 3-4 hours that we should have spent relaxing, instead we had to resolve an issue that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. I decided to take a loss, as it was completely unsafe and an unacceptable birthday gift. I was completely stressed out and upset that my husband's birthday had been ruined, and I was left stranded to find a new hotel. Fortunately we reached out to the Four Seasons, and they saved our trip. From being helped on the phone to checking in, to out, we were treated like royalty. This was my second time attempting to stay at a Hilton property and both experiences were awful. Needless to say, I will never give them another chance again. STAY AWAY!

Yelp
This resort is great! However, it goes without saying that you will be spending money with nearly 20% gratuity added to every bill. One of our biggest issues with there was not enough chairs for people by the poolside. People were laying in the walkways and it just felt crowded. Even adding lockers to this area would be a nice addition, but I am sure they will make it cost extra. Just have your pockets ready is all I'm saying!

Yelp
GO SEE JOE, THE CONCIERGE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Joe made our girls trip extra special by getting our large group into some amazing local restaurants. He is just absolutely the best at what he does and his passion for service is unmatched. The coffee shop is very convenient and has yummy options from pastries & desserts to sandwiches and grab n go items. They have a pastry chef on-site! We pretty much ate at that cafe every morning. The chips & guac beach side (but I think available in all restaurants) was so yummy! I'm from Texas and the salsa was amazing. Lauren the bartender was a great welcome upon arrival offering great recommendations and delicious cocktails!

Yelp
I was attended at the beach by Arthur, Schedlee, and Ernesto, "great service" doesn't do them justice. I had food, beverages, and AMAZING hospitality ALL DAY. They really made my stay extraordinary and I was able to experience a luxury at the beach that I haven't received in years! Best beach day!!

Yelp
I was here for business and Jamel A was very helpful in arranging my stay for an extra day. It was kind of complicated but he worked it out.

Yelp
The hotel was awesome and Ashley at the front desk was warm and welcoming and very helpful. She was just as nice as the view from my balcony.

Yelp
Very rude bartender at hotel bar. Very condescending. Asked for a drink, told me to say "please".

Yelp
I came here for a conference. The hotel has beautiful views, and the on site steak restaurant was solid. The event catering was better than I expected. With a few exceptions, the staff were rude / abrasive. To the point where I thought to myself, "did that just actually happen?" This is a big, professional resort, so it was weird. Expect to pay big $$$ here. A fruit cup and candy bar came out to $20 at their snack bar. The bell desk charges $10 per bag per day after checkout.

Yelp
I stayed here again in February and was not as content. The quality seems to have gone downhill since November 2022. 1) How about heating your pool? Saying it's broken, is a poor excuse to guests. You also do not need a heated pool in Florida from May -October, but in Feb, you do. 2) it's ridiculous to have to pay extra for an umbrella on the beach. 3) Thank you to the server at Prime who got me a few bread rolls to make Hamotzi for Friday night Shabbat. I didn't have challah and I made impromptu at the last minute.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, clean rooms, broken shower but friendly stuff. I would say this hotel is very expensive, even the cheapest water was 8$, which I think is wrong. The beer was 4$ so go figure out which one you buy when thirsty. We loved our balcony that was really big and the view was amazing. Would be coming back.. probably.

Yelp
This review is based on their facilities, conference rooms, staff and food. I did not sleep here so I don't know what the rooms are like (they look nice online lol). I attended a conference here all of last week. The hotel was awesome! Plenty of space, well organized and easy to get to. We had breakfasts and lunches here Tue-Thur and all the food was delicious! Typical breakfast food like eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, fruit etc. Lunch was a mix of everything...one day chicken, one day fish, steak a couple days, tacos another day. Enjoyed every single meal I had here. They also had plenty of drink stations with water and iced tea. During the afternoon breaks, they wheeled out snacks and sodas and coffee. They were very well organized and on top of everything, the whole week! Bathrooms were clean and they had very private stalls with doors from floor to ceiling. If you had to drop a deuce, you had privacy and comfort lol. Service was great! All the ushers and people working the event and meal times were awesome! Even met a guy who worked for the Heat (I was wearing my Celtics hat and the Heat are playing the Celtics right now). He stopped me going into breakfast one morning and we struck up a good conversation about basketball. Cool dude! It was a great conference and this hotel facilities were perfect for the amount of people we had. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
I had an amazing experience staying at this property this past December. One of the most professional and friendly staffs I have ever encountered. From start to finish they took great care of me and made my stay unforgettable and it all started with the above and beyond service provided by Kindred he was a phenomenal agent!!! Not to mention the property is amazing!

Yelp
Staying at the Diplomat, and I'm surprised--how does a supposedly high-end hotel provide towels like these? And messy, food and drinks aren't that good .. bad smells ... not a "high-end" experience.

Yelp
I would rate this place zero if I could. Booked a room for $800 plus per night. Hotel staff lied to us all day. Waiting 5 hours and still no room. Claim to be cleaning it all day hours past check in. At hour 6 they claim a maintenance issue and we can get an inferior room for the same rate.

Yelp
We valet parked our car because the parking across the street in the parking garage was only about 10 dollars less. The convenience is worth it. Check in was smooth and easy. Hotel has nice ambiance that includes a fragrance that must be pumped in because it is everywhere. Our adjoining rooms were on the 22nd floor and had private balconies with 2 chairs and a table on each. Because we were facing the ocean, I remembered to pull the blackout curtain down at night so we would t be blinded by the sunrise. In one of the rooms, we were not able to get the shade to go back up and had to call maintenance to fix it. Bathrooms were nicely appointed and the rooms have a nice soaking tub separate from the shower. Pools were maintained and there were plenty of lounge chairs. We didn't use the spa or restaurants, but it was nice to have the Canteen for a snack. I have stayed here before and when the opportunity arises I will stay again.
