"There’s not a bad seat in the house at The District, one of Saratoga’s newest restaurants. Snag a table on the patio for a Sunday brunch of chicken and waffles or milk bread french toast, or grab one inside for a birthday dinner and order things like their signature juicy chicken breast with couscous, beets, and apricots and the tender strip steak with salsa verde. Whenever you’re here though, definitely order the double patty burger with shredded lettuce, onion, American cheese, topped with some kind of thousand island-esque dressing sans the relish that’s been occupying our thoughts nonstop since we tasted it. I have been craving the Eggs Benedict since the last time we visited for brunch. We were pleasantly surprised that they now have their liquor license. The Eggs Benedict dish was delicious and as good as I remembered...maybe even better this time. My husband had a feta cheese and spinach omlette that was good and filling. I had forgotten how delicious the home fries were too. The owner is friendly and greets each table. The female who sang "happy birthday" to a customer (at the customer's friend's request) had a professional sounding voice and it was nice to listen to. I love the classy yet relaxed "feel" of this restaurant.

My friends and I had a great Friday night dinner with the District. Great location in downtown Saratoga. The Kofta and Hummus apps were so yummy, and each of our meals were to die for. Management was great, and there was even live music during dinner. Once this place get its liquor license, the rest of Saratoga better watch out!

2.5 stars. Starting with appetizers. Ordered Giardiniera - house pickled vegetables - received plate of large quartered vegetables with harsh vinegar poured over the top. Certainly not pickled for any significant period of time. Waitress cleared plate before we were half done with it, indicative of others who may have had similar experience? These were not marinated or pickled vegetables by any means. Caprese salad. New addition to the paper menu which was not apparent on both online or menu outside the building. Supermarket grade Mozzarella that was dry and flavorless. No salt, pepper, EVOO whatsoever. Tomatoes were listed as heirloom. Could not tell as they were incredibly thinly sliced. Balsamic glaze on the side, none touching the actual caprese - if you did not know to drag the oversize cheese and thin tomato through it, you would miss it. The people of Saratoga Springs would be OK with a $14 better tasting Caprese salad compared to this current nine dollar version. Mussels. Tasted like good quality seafood. Very unique broth with harissa seasoning. One of the better order of mussels I have had in a long time, and we tend to order it often. Owner? guy came over to tell us every ingredient in it, he is apparently very proud. I would agree. It was very good. However, served slightly cold, and with two wimpy pieces of pita bread. Garlic bread. Flat and mostly un toasted. Included butter was OK, but preferred to dip in broth of mussels. A bit odd to charge for this quality and quantity of bread. Salmon or “market catch”. The salmon was extremely crispy on its non-skin side but the skin side was soft and floppy. Overall, it was slightly overcooked. It was edible and fresh. The salmon was surrounded by lemon, I could taste lemon in the hummus and in the spinach accompaniment. It overwhelms the other flavors of the dish, but generally it was pleasing. Pork chop. Ordered this due to number of overwhelmingly positive Google reviews regarding this entrée. It is a large, thick on the bone pork chop. It is seared and cooked well. However, due to the thickness, and overall under seasoning, lacked a lot of flavor. Very odd side dish pairing, including cannelloni beans, cauliflower, and pieces of bacon. Other than bacon, very flavorless but a large volume occupied the dish. Interestingly, we received two phone calls the afternoon of our evening reservation informing us that the restaurant would be BYOB and they had a very low volume of wine and beer. This is related to their recent liquor license acquisition. We therefore purchased a bottle of wine on the way to the restaurant. They graciously served us our wine and kept it in an ice bucket that we poured for ourselves. We were then charged a corking fee at the end of the meal. This was despite no disclosure of this fee, during either phone call, or during the entirety of our dinner service. For a byob restaurant to charge a corking fee without any notice is unusual and not transparent. Overall, 2.5 stars.

Wow! Wow! Welcome “The District” to Saratoga! This was a fabulous dining experience! I had the Airline Chicken with Pearl cous cous, beets and apricots! The chicken was the most juicy and flavorful chicken I have ever had!! The beets and apricot flavor together was incredible. My 13 year old son had salmon with roasted chick peas and spinach. He NEVER eats complex meals and he LOVED it!!! Couldn’t stop raving about it! The owner, John David Cole, was welcoming and personable. The staff was attentive and friendly. The ambiance and decor was artsy and sophisticated. The desserts were decadent!!! The art work is the work of local artists and will be rotated every 30-45 days! What an amazing opportunity John is providing for the local artists of Saratoga Springs!! I’m really looking forward to going back again this summer!!! Five stars for SURE!!! ❤️❤️

UPDATE: We finally had dinner with a group of friends and had another fabulous time! John once again went above and beyond to many sure we were all taken care of. The food was amazing, especially the calamari. The wine list was impeccable, and he even brought over a bottle for us to try that he was thinking about adding to the menu. It was perfect. Highly recommend this place for a classy evening out or a great night with friends. PREVIOUS REVIEW: What a classy and beautiful addition to Saratoga. My friend and I had Sunday brunch. We were greeted by John and his wonderful staff. We can't wait to try dinner sometime soon.

Wonderful new restaurant. Super delicious well prepared food. Amazing friendly and timely staff. Excellent atmosphere and ambiance. It was BYOB. They'll have their liquor license in a few days. We'll definitely be back!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Sometimes a smaller more refined menu means that they really paid attention to what should land on their menu. One of the few places in DT Saratoga where the price is actually justified. We definitely will be back 🧡 Liquour license or not we've found our new spot. No photos cause we ate it too damn fast haha but here our dessert 😁
