If you're a local this is a lovely sandwich and salad restaurant... and it has a nice small bar. Kind of a funky 60s feel to it... and great piped in music. This is my second time there having been taken there by a local the first time and enjoyed myself.
On the night of December 27, I took my entire family out to dinner to divided sky... the restaurant was empty, but all 6 seats at the bar were full.
The six of us sat down and ordered cocktails and dinner. There were two people working the restaurant, the cook, and the waitress. Waitress brought out the first two dishes that were ordered. She brought out a Caesar salad and a taco salad.
My son who is a Caesar salad expert grimaced when he took his first bites and he said "I think this is a balsamic vinegar dressing." I tasted it and indeed it was nothing like a Caesar salad dressing. And then, I couldn't understand why my taco salad tasted so good but so different. It turns out the cook had put Caesar salad dressing on my taco salad and put the taco salad dressing on my son's Caesar salad. My son got a new salad.
The sandwiches came out. One of the nice things they do at divided sky is they heat the sandwich rolls so they're nice and toasty. However, some of the rolls for the people who had ordered sandwiches were burnt. Obviously, they were not being watched closely when they were in under the fire.
I left a $25 tip... But I'm really mad and I'm still mad that I did, because I didn't think the cooking or the server deserved a $25 tip. In fact, as we were leaving the restaurant, neither the waitress, nor the cook, said goodbye, they were busy chatting with the six people at the bar. But as we were leaving, I saw the cook quickly go to our table to clean it off. I felt like we were treated as a tourists, with no respect.
