My experience at Dock on Wallenpaupack was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the beautiful views of the lake are simply breathtaking – the perfect backdrop for a meal. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Good food but would rethink the shrimp salad and coleslaw. They were served warm.

We just ate dinner at The Dock with a large party of 11. The service from the moment we entered was top notch. Our server Vanessa was so attentive and lovely. All other workers also attended our every need in such a timely fashion. We had an issue with not liking one of the meals and they rectified it in such a quick manner. We also left glasses behind and they called to let us know! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was excellent. We’ve eaten here before but this experience was truly wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a wonderful time there, we stopped in for our anniversary dinner. Service was nothing less than exceptional. Great menu and our entrees came out for us in record time. We've both recommended The Dock to those in our circle of friends. So hope this review help's to increase their customer base. We set with a view of the lake, it was romantic and cozy. Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing. If your in the area highly recommend you give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Plenty of parking across the street with a well marked pedestrian crosswalk. So no worries when going into the restaurant enjoy...

We were int eh Poconos for Thanksgiving and the resort we stayed at recommended them for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Dock had a take out meal for that day at a set price. So we placed our order but figured we should check it out before Thursday. Well the food was good and we ended up pretty much just eating there for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then we picked up our Thanksgiving meal and it was really good. Way too much food but it was all great. If you are in that area, do yourself a favor and stop there. Two really good meals were the Fish and Chips and the Grilled Ruben.

We came to The Dock with a large party, and unfortunately the experience started off on the wrong foot. We had coordinated extensively in advance—pre-selecting meals, confirming an open bar package, and aligning on all the details. But when we arrived, the manager in charge—whose office was literally steps from our table—completely ignored us. Despite several issues needing resolution, she never once approached or acknowledged our group, which was incredibly frustrating given the prep involved. That said, the only reason this review isn’t one star is because of PJ, our waiter—who deserves a standing ovation. PJ was nothing short of phenomenal. He immediately stepped in to resolve the confusion, handled every question with patience and humor, and somehow made the entire experience enjoyable despite the chaos. When we learned the bartender had unexpectedly left, PJ personally made every drink for our group—and not only were they delicious, they came out incredibly fast. His energy was infectious, he was attentive and kind, and he truly turned the night around for us. If you’re lucky enough to get PJ as your server, you’re in great hands. Management may have dropped the ball, but PJ absolutely carried the night.

This place has so much potential. Beautiful building with an excellent location. The atmosphere is nice. It has an upscale feel and live music. The staff seem unhappy. The menu has a broad variety, but the food isn’t very good. I was so excited to have tacos, but they arrived half full with only a small portion of protein and garnish. Other items in our order arrived incorrect. I do not recommend this restaurant for a young family. Other restaurants within a 10 mile radius are significantly better. I feel so sorry to write a review like this, but hope that my experience helps improve this restaurant. I hope to enjoy a wonderful dinner overseeing the lake at this beautiful restaurant someday.

Last week we had a great meal there. I have no idea re the low ratings. Red Snapper, summer chicken parm and shrimp wrap were all very good. CJ at the bar area was great!

Best of luck with takeout from The Dock. We placed a fairly simple order, but it still didn't go smoothly. Although the menu lists a Greek salad with shrimp as an option, the person taking our order said that wasn't available. The salad also arrived without the dressing we had requested on the side. We ordered bone-in buffalo wings but received something that resembled frozen chicken nuggets instead. To top it off, we were given an order of fries we never asked for. Overall, the attention to detail was clearly lacking, and it seems like the staff could benefit from better training on the menu and order accuracy.

We walked in around 8pm, about an hour before closing and we got directed to our table with in a minute and I ordered raspberry tea. Was really amazing. Then I got 12 boneless wings with ranch. They were some of the best boneless wings I've ever had. But here when some stuff happens. I ordered a brick oven pizza with pepperoni and it came with no pepperoni. My sister ordered chicken nuggets and they came with a side of buffalo sauce, I don't know who eats chicken nuggets and French fries with buffalo sauce but it's okay. We also had an order of mashed potatoes that we didn't get until we asked for a second time. Same with chicken tenders. We got this food around 8:40 so it could be because it was close to closing time in 20 minutes so I guess they wanted to go home and didn't pay attention that much to the order.

A ladies lunch on Monday. We sat on the screened deck. We all enjoyed our lunch. Very generous sandwiches - fried clam sandwich (2 rolls stuffed) pickle and loads of sweet potatoes fries, Turkey BLT was very generous on great toasted bread with sweet potatoes fries and the salmon BLT on nice brioche bun with SPF. Lovely spot, good service and very fairly priced for the portions. Just one complaint - the wood decking is dirty and littered with food - lemon slice, lettuce, French fries. Possible slip and fall and not a great impression.

Wanted to try again. Service was good. Ch3f special bad. Rock hard tiny scalllops. Was supposed to be in lobster sauce. Tasted like mac and cheese sauce. $38.00

Ample parking across the street and it's just lovely but the food and service are just pretty ok.

We visited this restaurant as a family, excited after hearing so many great reviews. However, I can only give this place 2 stars. The parking was convenient, the setting was lovely, and the vibe seemed promising with a band playing in the lounge as we arrived. We were seated in a beautiful spot, but our server never introduced themselves, so I'm still not sure of their name. The menu looked intriguing, and our group of five adults and three kids decided to start with three appetizers to share. The drinks were the highlight of our order, but things went downhill from there. For my entrée, I ordered salmon with lemon risotto, and for the first time in a long time, I couldn't finish my dinner. My husband had the pork Milanese, which he found crunchy but completely flavorless, needing a whole lemon and lots of salt and pepper to make it palatable. My son-in-law ordered the crispy chicken and described it as rubbery and unimpressive. My daughter's coconut shrimp lacked any noticeable coconut flavor, and she said the shrimp itself wasn't firm. Finally, my son-in-law's mother had fish and chips, and she commented that the batter wasn't crispy. I hate to complain, but I have to be honest--both the service and the meal were disappointing, and we won't be returning. Hence we decided to have dessert out at another venue.

Food was amazing and fairly priced, service was a bit slow but it was a busy night! We will return against next time in the area!

This is definitely the place to go when visiting Lake Wallenpaupack. Good food, views, and service! You can even dock your boat at their dock and eat! Very convenient. Would recommend if you are visiting the area!!

We had a great experience at The Dock! Everything we ordered was phenomenal & our server was very accommodating! The pizzas are amazing & we are from NJ, and know good pizza! Highly reccomend!

The clams were excellent, the view was beautiful and the service was very good! The new chef really turned out the food and I believe this should have a much better rating than it does!

Food and drinks are great. Had the fried chicken sandwich and drunken chicken pizza. Everything was great.

Our server Casey was PHENOMENAL and so attentive. She truly was the sweetest person there, and we were lucky to be sat in her section. She had great recommendations for food and was incredibly gracious and understanding when we were originally supposed to be seated outside. Truly went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was great! I had the salmon BTL and while the sandwich fell apart after 2 bites, I would still order it again and eat it with a fork haha. My husband had the lobster pasta which was amazing. We loved the nautical interior touches like the refurbished boat indoors. This is also a great spot if you have your own boat and want to dock-and-dine. If there isn't any seating, still trying ordering for take out.

I had a crab cake sandwich which was very good. Nice location just off the lake. Wait staff were very nice. I will go back.

TL;DR: pretty lackluster restaurant food, great staff, good views Food - you shouldn't be surprised by the price, as this is a "resort" and it's right on the lake. That said, you should expect good quality food and cooking, which this missed the mark on. - Coconut shrimp - starter portion has 4 shrimp, good size. Could use some salt / seasoning. Good marmalade sauce to accompany - Chicken - good portion but - Salmon - very dry and can taste the charcoal / burned bits. This would be great if it was juicer and had a Asian glaze type of sauce to top Staff was very attentive and quick - shout out to Ashley for taking care of us. Location is great - right on the lake and a brief walk from Silver Birches. Lots of parking which is always nice.

Steak lacked flavor even with salt on it. Ramen with shrimp was delicious. Restaurant could definitely be cleaner and updated but good for a quick dinner.

The worst!! The manager was yelling at the hostess in front of customers, took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and she apologized for the outburst, then all the hostess's gathered at the station to complain, manager complained to customers there where too many people (really that is what a restaurant wants!), took 20 minutes for soda, wine and a bottle beer, waitress said the kitchen was having issues, rolls stale, crab cake had shells, and that may be enough not to come here. Dirty tables. Don't waste your money! And my review was deleted from their website!!!!! Simply aweful.

Very disappointed Granted we where in work cloths so we sat at the bar But $17 for a Crispy Chicken sandwich and fries and ya can't put a slice of Tomato or a piece of lettuce... really and not even a full piece of chicken a couple of scraps ... just bullshit The Beef cheese was drie and roll was old and stall

Despite empty tables everywhere in dining room a very unfriendly hostess tells us 1 hour wait. We finally get a table outside and the service was just poor , never asked how our food was , dropped food and left never asked if we wanted more cocktails , gave us a check without asking about desert or coffee. Hard to believe the Settlers group owns this. Food is overpriced and mediocre, and the staff do not seem united around a customer service mentality.

Aw-ful. Ordered take out. Pizza was cooolldddd. Traveling companions burger was tough. Had to ask for utensils since we were staying next door at the silver doom that had no utensils. They didn't include ketchup. But that pizza. Fell apart, couldn't even make a triangle to eat it with each piece. Margarita pizza? Try yucky sauce with congealed mozzarella cheese, no basil. I ate what I could, I don't like sending back food. Called them too and the sad employee just said sorry I'll let the chef know. No compensation, no, free dessert or anything. Just awful. Granted I should've walked up that hill to the place and returned it but I was hungry and they were the only food that I didn't have to drive to eat. No Uber eats in the area.

Had a late dinner here with a party of 8 including an 18 mo old. Waiter was very attentive. The Century boat that sits in dining room right next to us was really cool. There is also a large fish tank with local fish. The food was considered pretty good by all. They also have a kids menu. My Cabernet wasn't great and they replaced it with a Malbec for no extra charge which was appreciated once I realized an 8 oz pour was $16! But over all an enjoyable experience and the lobster bisque was really great! Definitely recommend.

Great location on the lake. Outdoor seating area is nice. Shout out to our server Michael. Excellent job. Sadly, the food is just ok and it is pricey. I'd still go back. just with lower expectations on the food.

Food was not great and bar was dirty. Garbage on floors. Said they didn't have bloody nary's and then started to omake a mix. Kids running the place.

Took a chance on the Choizo corn chowder special, and was Sold! 2 more specials, please!! Took the chance and was SO pleased! Sourdfish was cooked perfectly, and served with a sweet dipping sauce - excellent choice. Korean shrimp special was also delicious - crunchy, zippy and flavorful - perfect over CD sesame noodles. Portions where's big but not too big, we were completely satisfied!! Table neighbor ordered the Cajun shrimp. pasta special and considered it Excellent!! Bonus was the beautiful sunset from the outdoor seating!!

Service was very slow and waited to be seated. No big deal but unforgivable to charge $22 for a salmon Cobb salad and have a tiny sliver of salmon and the rest just lettuce with a few scattered tomatoes/cucumber/one egg slivered into several pieces. Just taking advantage there.

To be honest, the overall view from the location was outstanding. However, the service although starting out ok, moved to average at best. The food was served together with the exception of the pizza which came out 15 minutes after the other dinners were served. In addition, the waitress seem to more busy with other tables than to occasionally at best swing by. We had asked for another coke & more water twice but finished eating before even getting them. The dinners were ok. The steak was burnt on one end raw on the other end after requesting medium well. The pizza after waiting for it, had a soggy crust and a very bland taste. Overall would say average at the very best.

honestly i read the other reviews and almost didn't come here. i feel like the only way you don't like it here is if you have no taste buds or no taste. everything we ordered was absolutely amazing! i'm from NY and go to michelin star restaurants so i understand quality and service. we ordered the honey siracha wings, the clam chowder, the ceasar salad which comes on top of a pizza (amazing and a must have), the coconut shrimp basket, the wally burger (another must have) and a few drinks. the drinks were just ok in my opinion but everything else was absolutely perfect, perfectly cooked, fresh and DEFINITELY worth the price... our waiter was super sweet and attentive even tho we came at the busiest time.

The servers look annoyed that they have to wait on you. Soup is luke warm and food is just ok.

Service was great, servers were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was not. After a great evening of views and good service we were really dissatisfied with our meal. My boyfriend, who spent $32 on the special which was the steak tips, spent the rest of the evening with food poisoning. The pasta sat in a bed of liquid, not sauce, and the portion of meat was small. He instantly felt ill upon finishing his meal. The bathrooms were also disgusting, which seemed to be a foreshadowing of how well the food is handled. I would only recommend this place for ambiance and drinks... but save yourself from a night with your head in the toilet and skip the entrees.

Went for an early New Years Eve dinner. Our waitress Susan was so nice and friendly. Helped with questions about the menu and even asked us if we wanted to change tables since the couple behind us were arguing loudly. Had the fried calamari which was light and came with 2 tasty dipping sauces. Entree was fish fry which was also light and delicious. Came with fries and coleslaw which tasted Homemade. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the cook had the appetizer come out at same time as entree. I like eating one before the other

Thanksgiving meal was a failure this year. Last year when they offered the option of table service vs buffet ( I choose table service) it was a wonderful experience. This year there was no option. Made reservations and when my party of 5 arrived we had to wait 15 minutes at counter before someone let us know to go downstairs to get seated. Only at that point we found out it was buffet style. While on the line ( waited another 5 mins) we heard other parties questioning about not knowing this was going to be buffet style option only. Got seated and took waiter 10 mins to come and take drink order. Food was dry and overcooked ( salmon, mashed potatoes, Turkey, stuffed pork loin , stuffing , string beans , stuffed shells, etc). We were practically done eating when our drinks finally arrived ( 30 mins ). Was understaffed and chaotic. Took forever to get second round of drinks, desert , and finally the check. We were there for 2 hours ( reservations at 4 pm, paid check at 6 pm ). If next year it's buffet style again , I will not be back.

The hostess seemed like she's miserable. This place gets two stars because our server was really nice. The time between getting our appetizer and entree was almost an hour. The food was average at best. For the price, go to The Chophouse. It's so much better.

Was so excited to try this place and make it our new place to frequent. The restaurant is spacious, attractive and open. The food was light and tasty. The issue was we didn't get a bag for our to-gos. As we were leaving carrying our to-go boxes on our hands we asked the hostess for a bag. She said "oh your server didn't give you one?" the hostess then proceeded to suggest that we must have walked out on our bill and that's why we didn't get a to-go bag. How absolutely absurd, rude, revolting, and insensitive especially after not only paying but leaving a 31% tip!!!! Won't be back.

It's a nice place inside, but the food wasn't very good. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and there was almost no chicken. My wife had the fish and chips and she said she thought it was packaged frozen and not very good. The waitress was ok, but wasn't at all friendly or inviting. The view from the dining room is a sliver of the lake between some trees that I imagine is pretty nice in winter when there are no leaves. And they have another dining area that may have better views, but that's not where they sat us so I can't say. It wasn't crowded at all, so I'm guessing you have to ask to sit there, not sure. I wouldn't say it was the worst experience we've had in the area, but it wasn't good enough that I'm looking forward to going back. My neighbor tells me we have to try a place at least 3 times before making a decision on if it's good or not. But there are much better places in the area so I don't know how soon our second visit will be.

Actually, it is not on the dock. The restaurant seating is high up on a very busy road with the dining seating out on the back porch deck. The distance to the water in down a major hill and actually far back from the water. That said it is still a beautiful view. The inside restaurant is beautiful. The food was very good. The prices were reansonable. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Yes, it is one of the key places to eat at the lake. Walt Okon, Springfield, Virginia.

One of the better options in the limited option poconos area in Winter during Covid. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was meh. We ordered 3 entrees and a burger. My wife and I got a salad with our entrees and my daughter did not, despite ordering the $21 chicken parm. (Because...she was a kid?) the chicken Chardonnay (primavera) was pretty good. Little Texas toast style garlic bread came with it. I ordered short ribs... and out came a thick slice of perhaps it was pot roast? Because I am pretty sure it was an eye round, definitely not short ribs.. the entree was tasty, the meat tender... served with passable mashed potatoes and some tricolor baby carrots. Gravy/Demi tasted a bit like Franco American gravy.. pretty good overall... but call it pot roast. My daughter got some chicken parm with an unusually sweet red sauce. She ate about half of it because we are used to tomato sauce being on the savory side. My son thought his burger was fantastic. The place was clean and kind of barren. Again... considering that it was off season. (?) the bar was closed due to Covid... in place was an interestingly merchandised display of bottles of available wine on top of pieces of wood.. Our server was a very nice young lady. Again a decent experience, and most likely one of the better/only options for a sit down meal in the area this time of year. Would like to return and give it a try during a warmer season.

Spent a two nighter in Hawley. Town looked ghosted due to COVID. Depressing but glad to see some businesses still opened. Checked the reviews and pictures on Yelp which turned us onto the joint. Sadly not many people there but awesome since we had good service. The food was great. We had boneless wings well done, wallys burger and a lobster chowder soup. All good was phenomenal. Price.......... well at this point I'm glad to give my money to local establishments. Any little help to keep them open, I'll gladly pay. Local establishments need to get local beer!!!!

I came here for dinner and drinks with friends and the deck was very nice. The chicken sandwich was dry, but the fries were delicious and the margarita was good. The wait staff was changing shift as we finished dinner and were ordering more drinks and encouraged us to pay our tab prior to them leaving (totally understandable). The new waitress came up to us and essentially asked us to either order more or leave her table and go to the bar. A bit disturbing and a frustrating way to end our night.

We are staying in the area and decided to take a trip to my husband's favorite childhood campgrounds (Iron Wood Resort). We couldn't get to that area due to the heavy snow, so decided to find a place on Lake Wallenpaupack for an early lunch. We decided on The Dock. When we arrived we noticed no one else in the restaurant. We love new adventures so decided to give this place a try. We were greeted warmly and introduced to our server Ashley. Ordered drinks and appetizers. All I can say is WOW! Loved the Bang Bang Shrimp, but the Bourbon Meatballs were so freaking good!! I had a pomegranate martini that was simply perfect. Hubby had tea. Someone had to be the DD. Lunch was spectacular, hubby had the Tiajuana cheesesteak, I had a crab cake sandwich. Delicious. Service was perfect. Friendly, not rushed, knowledgeable. I can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to come back this summer! 10/10 would eat there again.

Overall, we had a nice experience here. The service was hands down the best part. Our waitress was very attentive to our dietary restrictions and repeated back everything at the end of us ordering. The food was decent, I'd say for the price they could have delivered a little more. For instance, my salmon salad was about $25 and it was decent but not outstanding. The ambiance was great -- we did the outdoor dining with heat lamps overlooking the lake. We would definitely come back again!

The place has potential to be very good, but there is a big mismatch between the prices charged and the quality of the food. I understand that this is a touristy location, but at least give some food that you could justify the higher costs. If you stick with the basics (burgers, sandwiches and such) you'll probably be fine. But buyer beware on the 40 dollar+ entrees, you will be sorely disappointed. Very little seafood in the dishes and food is overall bland. Cocktails aren't great either. This place is probably a one and done for most people, after they try it they won't be back.

Highly recommended!! Amazing food and great views. Dinner tonight was so delicious. We started off with the bang bang shrimp and lobster bisque which were delicious. I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the crab cakes. Absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Honestly Everything was reasonably priced. Lenny was our server and he was outstanding. Friendly, hospitable, and professional. He did a wonderful job through and through. This place is Perfect for a sunset view and great photo ops. I recommend sitting outside to take in the full experience. Right on the lake. Would absolutely come back if you see ever in town again !

If you are going to charge 24 dollars for a medium size bowl of pasta then you should at least offer a salad or bread. Not worth the trip.

Ordered burgers and cheesesteaks....an hour and a half later, no food. When you ask where the food is, the staff gets shitty. When I asked the guy at the grill if he forgot about our food he said "you'll get your food eventually." Super condescending and I don't even get uptight about service. This place is horrible. Do not go. You will regret it. Also the toilet is overflowing with piss. After an hour and a half of waiting we decided to leave. They reluctantly comp'd us a few beers in lieu of the food. Trash. TRASH.

Came here for dinner last night and was blown away by the service!! Our server was in training and she was incredibly nice and personable!! The food wasn't great and left something to be desired; maybe we should have tried the Tator tots; they sounded amazing! I ordered the pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes and chefs veggie (broccoli). The pot roast was pretty fatty and way salty (could have been the gravy too). The broccoli was good and sautéed in garlic which I enjoyed. My wife had the balsamic chicken that was covered in cheese and some cheesy rice pilaf? She wasn't overly impressed either. The salads had came before dinner were nice... the only thought I have is that the green mixture must have been out for a while because the salad looked a bit sad. The balsamic vinaigrette was good; the salad had some red onion, cucumber and tomatoes. Also the view from this place overlooking the lake is beautiful! (Not a great place if you're looking for a sunset view, but a nice peaceful view and atmosphere).

A man started working on a broken table in the middle of the dining room after we sat, red underwear hanging out plumbers crack, can of WD40, loud noise, hammers, loud carpet sweeper, arguing staff members, raw bacon on my burger, tuna must not be sushi grade for the poke bowl since when we tried to order it raw the response from the chef was we have to cook it to kill the bacteria = my dining experience. A piece of advice fix the table in your other room or when the dining room isn't full of paying customers.
