"The Dolly Llama, a Los Angeles-based dessert shop, opened its first location in Northern California in Elk Grove. Located at the Raley’s Center of Elk Grove at 4900 Elk Grove Boulevard, it serves bubble waffles and ice cream. Part of an expansion with locations in Dallas and Las Vegas." - Lauren Saria

It's a cute dessert spot but that's about it. I got the Dolly's Dream with the blue ice cream and had no idea what flavor it was. The Llama Gone Nuts was good but its just peanut butter with banana and I think vanilla ice cream? The bubble and waffles are good but the flavors of the ice cream were just alright. Even the coffee shake didn't taste like coffee, just caramel.

The first thing that I noticed as we walked up was the color combo with black and turquoise. That was the colors of my middle school. Being that we are 1200 miles away it’s already a great entrance into the building. Next was the absolutely amazing smell of fresh made waffle cones and bubble cones. The combination of ice cream and toppings are literally endless. I ended up going with a Llama Go Nuts! I did not ask what was in it but I was totally sold in the photo of it. It had a peanut butter drizzle. They have plenty of ice cream ready to go for those late night snack options. We had zero wait considering the place had plenty of people in there. We were immediately greeted as we walked in which is super refreshing these days. We will definitely be back for More Goodness!!

A great new spot in west elk grove next to Raley's supermarket. They have a family friendly vibe, colorful and playful decorations, great staff, and really good desserts! Our favorite had to be the Dolly's Dream bubble waffle cone, the ultimate cookie monster ice cream inside was delicious! Next we tried the Snow Storm shake which was similar to a cookies and cream or oreo type milkshake. We all loved that as well. Last, we decided to take home the Mini OG Box. It was perfect for us to build our own mini waffle desserts with a pint and the toppings. Highly recommend this option for those with kids who may want different things but won't finish a whole XL cone. Overall we really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. They do door dash and other online orders so that's another thing to keep in mind if you don't want to make a trip.

This is the place if you want your sweet tooth cravings satisfied. From the ambience, to the customer service, and ultimately the signature waffles are on point. You’ll not be disappointed. Very clean store front and I would highly recommend you check them out.

This was my very first time coming here. My experience was just OK. The portions are small, and the waffle was very sweet. I got the strawberries and Nutella, and then I had them add bananas. My son got the same with a scoop of the cookie monster. It came to almost 20 bucks. The waffle mix is too sweet, I'm not impressed. My suggestion would be to make the waffle less sweet and not skimp on the toppings.

Google
Cool place. It's the 1st day, so some room for improvement for sure. Lots of options. Great ice cream flavors. The waffles tasted great. We prefer a little more crispy texture though. Banana was not ripe and hard. Needed some additional help with cleaning the place up. We'll definitely try it again after it's been open for a while.

I like the aesthetic of the design, it's really fun. The line was long because it was the first day. I waited 45 mins in line. However, my order took an hour. The workers seem really unfamiliar with what they are doing. I think it would have been better if they had more training. I ordered a Dolly's dream with bubble waffle. My bubble waffle was underdone, it was not crispy. Dolly's dream ice cream tastes pretty good. I will give it a try again.

Google
The ice cream is pretty good. The place will probably be pretty clean after the first day business is gone. Overall, it was a great ice cream and waffle spot. There was a problem with them getting too much wrong in orders, but I did not experience that personally. After the workers get some more experience, this will be my go-to spot.

Yelp
I have wanted to try this place for awhile and we were shopping in that strip mall so we went in. It's a decent size place. The worker was a little hard to understand but we work through it. Heavy accent. The place was clean and looked nice. They have different flavored ice cream and you get to pick from a waffle or the bubble waffle. There were so many choices that we didn't know which to choose. If you picked a preset one it seemed cheaper in price than a one you made custom. So we went with their most popular one. The Dolly's Dream. It had their Cookie monster ice cream in it. It tasted good but kind of a lot for 10 bucks. We thought that he was going to make a fresh waffle but he just heated up one that was sitting out. Fresh is always better. A nice novelty but not sure I would come here again. Just ok.

Yelp
After shopping at Raley's, we wanted to get some dessert. First time at this place. I've heard about it. The place looked clean and uplifting. There wasn't anyone in the shop when we walked in. We ordered Dolly's dream to share. We had a choice of a waffle or a bubble waffle. This came with the ultimate cookie monster ice cream, some strawberries, sauce, and cream. They already had the waffles pre-made sitting in the case. I would think that they would make the waffle fresh to order, but they didn't. They just heated it up and put all of the ingredients on it. The dessert was ok. There wasn't anything special about it or tasted absolutely great, that would make us come back again.

Yelp
My first time here at this cute spot in Elk Grove. It's only been opened for a month and I can already tell it will be very popular especially in the upcoming summer months. The man working there was friendly and helpful. Plenty of space to sit and various choices on their menu. I chose the mini OG waffle ice cream sandwich with salted caramel ice cream. So yummy and great prices too.

Sharlene H.

Yelp
My daughter and I found this cute ice cream place next to our eye doctor's office and decided to give it a shot. They had so many choices, from waffles to shakes to bubble cones! A lot of ice cream selections and toppings. Deciding what to order was the hardest part! After a lot of thinking, we picked the Llama Gone Nuts OG Liege waffle for $10. The presentation was impressive, and the warm waffle tasted great, but it was a bit small for the price. It felt like a tease for how much we paid for. Although we didn't order their bubble cones, they are average price and have seen it for $10 elsewhere. The person who helped and served us was super nice. Overall, we liked it here, but next time, we might just get a bubble cone or check out somewhere else for a better deal. But if you're in the area, try it for yourself!

Yelp
I saw the grand opening whilst doing my weekly errand runs and thought, why not try this place out once the line dies down. Saw a lot of ads on Facebook and looked very promising. My bf and I can around 3:30 pm, the interior was very cute and we both love the turquoise color along with the llama! As we entered, there were small goodies of trinkets and we had to grab some (Dolly pins, stickers and keychain). I like how the menu is big enough for people who refuses to wear glasses to see lol. The overall interior itself is small and a bit cramp but as it was their grand opening so people were packed inside to avoid the sun. Restroom is down the hall, gender neutral. I got the BYO and bf got the Dolly Dream. Quite honestly, I rather order from the signature menu as you get more for your money. Just MHO. The ice cream was alright. We both ordered the Bubble. I didn't get the Ube flavor and I asked for crushed "Oreo" (off brand cookie) and whipped cream but I got the whole cookie and no whipped cream. In addition, my bf says he tasted no flavor from the Cookie Monster ice cream. Overall all, it was a bit heavy and I felt the sugar crash lol. Service wise, dear god it was long. Some even complain it took them over an hour for their order. I think our order took a bit 45 mins but that's only because I think 1. They were pushing out the easier order first. 2. They FORGOT or MISPLACED ours cause the people who came after us ordered the same thing and got theirs first?!! And 3. the young worker ASKED us what our order number/name was cause...poor management. They got like two/three adults working with the kids and yet no one was managing the orders accordingly. I believe what they should have done was stop taking new orders and focus on the current orders they were getting. Dough takes time to cook and I rather eat burnt dough than raw dough...we didn't get our order all at once so my ice cream began to melt as I was waiting for my bf's order. Price wise, I agree with some of the Yelpers stating it is a bit pricey. Especially if it'll cost you 0.75 cent for each sauce and toppings....like gosh that's almost the equivalent to the price of boba toppings! And you still get more for the boba toppings. Stingy...(O_O) Overall, they really need to work on management...take orders but do it while being consistent. Maybe communicate amongst each other (if not done so already) of which order they're going to work on? Have someone designate for one particular station (if not done so already) and assist when needed (again, if not done so already). Because the chaotic scene we saw were customers not getting their order promptly and having to question why that was. Stop taking new orders, there should be a limit. Last note, I heard someone made an online order and surprisingly got all 3 of their orders super quick...well gosh darn it! Lol maybe I should do the online next time instead if having to wait 45+ mins! Overall, I'm going to wait till the hype dies down and will try other flavors.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this new ice cream spot as they were advertised all over my IG feed! Gave this place a visit on their grand opening day and the i was impressed with the decor and the crowd! Unfortunately the eggettes and ice cream was not up to par. I ordered two items: 1. Dolly's Dream: cookies and cream ice cream topped with brownies and strawberries. I was thrown off with how blue the ice cream was. Not the best quality in my option. The brownie tasted like it was from Costco and the waffle batter was mediocre. 2. Party Animal: I opted for Ube ice cream instead of salted caramel. Ube didn't have a fragrant Ube flavor and was very artificial. Didn't pair well with waffles at all. This was very disappointing. Overall: I probably won't be coming back but I was glad I gave it a try. I feel this place is aesthetically pleasing but taste wise is not for me.

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. They're definitely in soft opening phase right now. The guy was being trained as he helped me. It took like 5 min to get my order after paying, which isn't bad. $10 for one of the Signature Waffles (same options, on either a bubble waffle or OG liege waffle). It's a better deal than doing it Build Your Own style. They didn't have the vegan ice cream options yet (said they should be available Fri, 7/28). I don't like that you have to pay $3 extra for those flavors. I don't think the scoop sizes justify the price..very poor value, so I wouldn't recommend getting just a scoop. I would like to come back to try the liege waffles and maybe a shake. Note: it's pretty messy to eat, so get lots of napkins. I hope they're able to survive, but this area of the shopping center doesn't seem to do very well.

Laura T.

Yelp
The inside is nice and clean since it is a brand new business. I ordered a shake and was very disappointed by it. $12.05 for a cup of flavorless liquid. I got the cookies and creme shake and didn't taste like Oreo at all. It tasted a bit like just the cream base they probably used. Very disappointed. The service was decent and everyone seemed very nice. I saw they had a case of the waffles and some in clear packaging so it appears the only waffle that's made fresh to order is the bubble waffle. Since I only saw bubble waffle makers & the employees using those for the bubble cone orders.

J F.

Yelp
Took my daughter for her birthday. She researched that they had vegan options. The guy at the register was very informative. Got the waffle cone with chocolate ice cream dipped in almonds...OMG! She got the vegan chip vegan on a sugar cone that she said grew on her. My spouse had the salted caramel on a sugar cone that was to die for. Cute shop, plenty of seating, great lighting and stuff to look at on the walls. We all left in an ice cream coma. We will be back. Go support this small strip mall ice cream parlor. The waffle desserts looked amazing.

Yelp
I was really excited when I heard that there was a Dolly Llama opening up in Elk Grove! I was familiar with this place since I travel a lot to LA but never had the chance to try it until they opened up a location here. Since it was there grand opening, I was prepared for a larger crowd and longer wait times. I arrived around 8 pm on Saturday. It took me around 20 minutes to get my order placed. I was able to use my Yelp check in for $1 off my purchase! I went with my friends and ordered after one of my friends. I ordered their signature bubble wrap waffle in the flavor Dolly's Dream. My friend who ordered before me got their order after about 20 minutes. I expected my order to be next since I ordered after her but I stood there and watched as around 5 other people received their order before mines. By the time I received my order around 15-20 minutes had already gone by. My other friend who ordered after me also had the same experience where people who ordered after him received their order before he did. When I got my waffle, it was soggy and the waffle itself was really dense and bland. The ice cream wasn't as creamy as I would have liked and the flavor was just okay. The Dolly's Dream also came with strawberries, brownies, and whipped cream. The strawberries were super sour and the best thing about the waffle were the brownies, which came pre-packaged from Costco. I ended up throwing my waffle away after I finished the ice cream and I most likely wouldn't be back after my experience. I really wanted to like this place because I've been waiting so long to try it but sadly won't be returning.

Yelp
Give it a try. The ice cream and waffle combo makes for a tasty treat. The space is bright and nicely decorated. Courteous service with a smile.

Tracy W.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place today! The waffle is hot and fresh and made to order! Iced cream was also delicious. The interior was very clean and decorated cool. The customer service was not bad at all but not 5 star. We'll defiantly come back though!

Caitlin R.

Yelp
My friend and I both ordered the Dolly's Dream. We agree with the review that said the brownie bites seemed like they were bought from Costco. The first half of the cone was insanely sweet.. once we finished the toppings, we felt that the ice cream itself was bland. It's like they heavily overcompensate for bland ice cream by dropping a ton of toppings on it. My friend's husband got the cinnamon milkshake, and said it just tasted like vanilla with a bunch of caramel syrup rather than horchata. His comment was "not bad, but not great". Overall, the three of us agreed on the 3/5 star rating. The desserts were just mediocre, cost $27, and weren't memorable enough for us to return. Interesting concept.. but sadly, it photographs better than it actually tastes.

Gregg R.

Yelp
Visited this place twice over the same day. The interior was great nice and clean with new place vibe. The service was decent as well. No other customers so we received our items really quick. We had ordered a few shakes over two orders and on our first order they asked for our jibber and signed us up for their loyalty program. On our second visit that day I showed them the loyalty reward coupon we received for joining and installing and signing up in the app. The server refused to accept it and said that we need to wait for a text message. We did not receive a text message and it seems like he was referring to the point program when you order a certain amount of drinks. The refusal to honor the coupon was not great. We still paid for our drinks as we didn't want him to throwaway the items. This is really poor service to save a couple of bucks and makes it really hard for me to consider coming here again. The ice cream was decent but a bit pricy. There are lot of different options out here and based on the price and poor service, it's hard to imagine I will visit this place again. If they will not honor the coupons on the app then they should stop asking us for our phone numbers.

Jessica D.

Yelp
I expected to come in here to see an abundance of vegan flavors, but was disappointed that they only had one. I did try the vegan mint chip, which was tasty, but needed more options and no customers.

Janelle L.

Yelp
This is my 4th time here! Amazing desserts and amazing service. The Dolly Llama in Elk Grove never disappoints (:

Hai L.

Yelp
Dolly Llama is one of the hottest dessert destinations if you are looking for great-tasting unique desserts. They have their signature bubble waffles that are topped with different ice cream and sauces that are a customer favorite. OG Liege Belgian waffle to the Hong Kong Bubble Waffle. There's a great selection of flavors, sauces, and toppings to choose from. If you're craving shakes, they even have that! I really enjoyed their concept and would return again on a future visit!

Vivian H.

Yelp
EG with another ice cream spot, why not give it a try? We came here on a Friday afternoon. I was aware they did a "grand-opening" a few weeks ago but was shut down relatively quick and recently re-opened again. It wasn't busy, there was just one worker when we walked in with no other customers. This was right before the after-school rush so I knew if we came an hour after then we would've been waiting for a bit of time. The interior was very nice and designed -- all the tables/chairs were a bright light blue color which stood out. We ordered the Sugar n Spice OG liege, it took about five minutes for our order. They heat up the waffle and prep a scoop of ice cream while it heats up. The worker was super sweet and personally handed me our order after finishing it up with cute toppings/designs. Overall, the ice cream itself was very creamy and milky. The waffle was warm with crisp edges. You want to eat it quickly since the ice cream cools it down fast and it becomes chewy. It is a bit pricey but you're also paying for the design and concept. I know this business is new and has to find its way around the nooks and crannies so hopefully they find their groove in EG!

Yelp
I heard about Dolly Llama coming to Elk Grove so many months ago so I patiently followed their Instagram waiting for them to announce Elk Grove. Finally the time is here! According to their website there is another one coming to Sacramento as well. I saw someone posted a photo of the hours from their storefront and they open at 12pm everyday so we drove all the way there around 1:30 today. Someone walked out and said they wouldn't be open until 5:00 because they were fixing something. There wasn't any sign on the door about it either so luckily he was there to tell us. We came back at 5:05 and there were two young kids working up front. I asked if they were open because the open sign was not on, and there were things laying around and chairs still stacked. He asked me what time it was and I said 5:00 and he said he had to check with his manager. I was gonna be so mad if they weren't open again and we drove for nothing! Luckily they were open but the owner did not address us at all, he was telling the workers what to do and there were other people moving stuff out the back door. He just seemed stressed maybe but still no excuse for not even greeting customers (especially ones that drove all the way back)! Oh well it's still in soft opening (grand opening is Saturday) so I guess they're still figuring it out. The menu is easy to read, although their signature items don't have any description at all so I'm sure they'll start to get annoyed at people asking what ingredients are in it. I wanted the Dolly's Dream waffle but just wanted to switch out the ice cream flavor but he said I had to do the build my own instead, which means different pricing. While I was waiting I calculated it and it came out to $12 for all the same exact toppings versus the $10 for the signature waffle, just because I switched the ice cream flavor! The liege waffle is the same $10 price so it's just a decision if you want the belgian waffle or the egg puff waffle. The taste was good but the egg puff didn't have the crispy edges like a good egg puff waffle would have. These types of waffles aren't new, they're common at Asian dessert places. In fact, nothing at this place is super unique but it's just a new brand. They have stores across the U.S. so I had heard of the brand before. The store is nicely decorated and you can even get pints to go. There are a couple of tables but only one of them had chairs so we sat there. The store was also dead silent so it was kinda awkward just listening to the workers whispering and asking each other where things were. I'm glad I checked it out before lines get long after grand opening but not sure if I'd drive across town again just for it. There are some food trucks that do this type of egg puff waffle sundae so I know it's easy to get. I think I'd normally give 3 but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for soft opening purposes. Hopefully they'll focus on their customer service as they begin to have more customers coming in.

Yelp
I stopped by with my family on a weekday evening. We noticed this new ice cream place opened up and wanted to try. I believe they were still in a soft opening phase and were officially opening the following weekend. They had an ample amount of ice cream flavors and offered waffles and bubble waffles (egg puffs). I ordered the Bubble Dolly's Dream (cookie monster ice cream wrapped in a bubble waffle and topped with strawberries, brownies, whipped cream, and drizzled with nutella sauce. It was YUMMY! The ice cream was like a cookies and cream (but blue!) and the bubble waffle was nice and fluffy. I really enjoyed my dessert. My parents ordered a scoop of Ube and a scoop of Matcha Green Tea ice creams. Both liked their flavors and said the ice cream was "not too sweet" (for Asian parents that is a top tier compliment!). There was a group of people ahead, but I did get my bubble waffle in about 10 minutes. The workers were all very courteous and patient. There wasn't a lot of seating inside nor a lot of tables. Not sure if it was because it was their soft opening that they didn't have much chairs out. We will definitely be back to try more flavors!

Ahmed R.

Yelp
Nice new dessert spot in EG, with plenty of options to try. This place just recently opened, and has been slowly getting organized and gaining traction with the local crowd. I'll post more pictures as we get to try it again, for now a 4/5 rating as they continue to improve their service and offerings.

Shelly C.

Yelp
The waffles are delicious and made fresh to order, I especially liked the bubble waffle. I didn't care for the salted caramel caramel, cookie monster or green tea ice creams. The ice cream flavors just didn't stand out to me. Next time I'll order just the waffle concoctions instead. The service is as expected for a new establishment, expect long wait times. The facilities are clean and spacious. There are just a few tables inside, this is more of a grab and go establishment.

Favi H.

Yelp
Why did this place close? It was good desserts, quality and servings. The ambiance was nice. Sad to see it gone.

Kiyomi W.

Yelp
came in to redeem the free og leige waffle icecream sandwich that the owner messaged me about but the worker would not allow me to get the item and was making me pay for the icecream. but ended up getting one waffle lol so half of what i was promised bc he needed a code to type in the tablet so props to him to trying to follow protocol. pretty unfortunate because the owner sent it to me and i wanted to give this place a second try but have yet been disappointed again. at least the waffle was yummy.

Ryan M.

Yelp
I typically have a desire to write reviews but am often so busy I don't take the time to craft one. However, my wife and I recently had a very unfortunate experience at this restaurant we were excited to try especially as it's right around the corner from our home. We decided to go out for a sweet treat after a long work week and found that Dolly llama had opened within the last year. When I walked Friday night close to 8:30 pm I mistakenly thought the young man working had greeted me. When I heard him speak again I realized he was talking to someone on his phone. I turned and looked at the menu as my wife came in and notice he didn't greet her and actually grabbed his phone to go to the back, looking over his shoulder to see what felt like a confirmation that it was safe enough to go to the back and finish his call. When he returned he stared at us awkwardly and my wife asked if I was even greeted when we came in. I said actually I don't believe I was as he was on the phone. We stood looking at the menu to get an understanding of how ordering worked and what they offered as it was our first time stepping in the doors. After a few moments when we noticed they had vegan ice cream which my wife was especially looking for, his only comment to us was "we don't have any vegan ice cream". At that point, not feeling welcomed at all and like we were a bother to the employee we decided to leave as we have a very high appreciation for service and did not want to experiment with someone who clearly felt like they did not want to serve us. Very disappointing experience and something that typically will drive me not to go back again. I'm leaving this review hoping this won't be anyone else's experience going forward even though we likely won't be returning.

Tia O.

Yelp
Great service! Server was so patient and kind answering all of our questions and he was so fast! Waffles and bubble waffles were so good and ice cream tastes homemade and rich!

Ravipal S.

Yelp
The vibe of this place is very cool and the desserts are all delicious! I love bringing my kids here for a treat!!

Eileen C.

Yelp
It's the new dessert place in town. Waffles with ice cream and a variety of toppings from candy trimmings to cut up fruit. Nothing special with their waffles. It taste almost the same as the Belgian waffles sold in Costco. If you're looking for a place that offers "fast service" , turn around. This is not for you. The staff looked very inexperience and we waited for 20mins for our order to be served. The store was well decorated. The owner did not look thrilled serving customers. Food was costly. 1 pint of iced cream is $8 but unlike Handels or Leatherbys, its not filled to the top -it's only 3/4 full. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.

Scott F.

Yelp
Saw this being advertised in the news so I came by to give it a try. Service was slow and so-so. If you are looking for the bubble waffle experience I'd look elsewhere *cough* Bubble Cone is better *cough*. Everything is so expensive and you don't get enough ice cream for the amount you pay.

Falyn W.

Yelp
Ambiance is cute, that's what the one star is for, other than that this place is a complete waste of time and money. We waited so long for our melted ice cream. The ice cream is ridiculously expensive for what you get. We got two bubbles, which was a scoop of ice cream in a waffle with toppings. The waffle was mediocre to me, kids didn't like it. The ice cream was completely melted. Cool we got to wait 30 min for melted ice cream. Honestly would rather go to cold stone, that's worth the money. I was really looking forward to this being good too.

John G.

Yelp
Dolly Llama is open again (after jumping the gun initially. The Fire Marshall can explain the exact reasons why :-o). After seeing long lines during its initial opening, the place was pretty empty on this day. Interior was well kept and clean. Signed up on the app and tried to use the $5 coupon but was told I had to wait until a future visit (?). Ordered a Snow Frost shake, mini sandwich, and build your own single scoop liege. Cost was roughly around $33 without tip. The waffle was warm and delicious but ice cream was just basic. Service was adequate even though only person was working behind the counter. Not sure when or if I'll return as Leatherbys, Baskin-Robbins, and Handels are better local dessert options in my opinion.

Gabriel I.

Yelp
This review is something I am writing first thing in the morning after falling asleep (zZzZzZ) Dolly Llama. More like Golly Llama. If you feel like wasting your money, this is the place for you. Firstly, who designed the floorplan of this establishment. They put the register in front of your face the moment you walk in. Meaning, lines form outside when they don't even need to. To top it off, they put a seating area in the same corner where the line is forming. I don't want to see this Noah's Ark of a line while I eat my dairy treat. It's like they're already expecting a small number of customers to come in 24/7. Also, they don't have any speakers to play background noise, so you could technically classify this place as a library. The moment you walk up to the register, the staff immediately ask for your phone number without telling you why. It's to sign you up for their rewards program. Aren't they supposed to have your consent? Where the BBB at??? The text they send you doesn't even ask if you want to stop receiving text messages....regardless, they got your personal info (#) to sell. Deny that mf please. Scummy bizness move there, buddies. Wait time is like 20 mins for a scoop of ice cream and waffles LOL. I can make this at home for the same price & serve a whole family + give some to my neighbor Joe (Mama). They stingy with their offerings. Y'all losing customers over drizzling nutella. They've got all this staff, yet their turnaround time is still slow af. No diss to the staff, just management :) If I were you, I'd go check out Ice Dream. Same overpriced mid, but it's the lesser of two evils & is a small business. How can you support these franchises :'( Okay, now's the time to pay my consulting fee. - Not ChatGPT generated review

Bubble ice cream is good once you finally get it. It took over 45 minutes to finally get ours after paying. You'd think having a bunch of adults making ice cream concoctions would be more efficient .......Nope. They messed up our friend's order and they made our son's shake twice. If you come, I'd suggest looking inside to see how busy it is before ordering or if you have the time to twiddle your thumbs just wait. Be a long time before we come back.

Yelp
Great dessert options! The kids love all the different flavors. Place is clean and service is friendly.

Yelp
Kristelle helped us out tonight and was so nice and patient. She explained the menu and suggested a few items. Great suggestions too!! Family loved the bubble cones, ice cream and OG Waffles! This place is so cute and the customer service by Kristelle and the team was the amazing! Nice to have a waffle place in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Disappointing service! The servings were small and had barely any toppings or sauce. For being about $9 a cup this was hardly anything. Also unclear how it works. The waffles are extra tho it's advertised as tho it comes with everything. The worker also gave my daughter the wrong flavor ice cream and barely any sauce or sprinkles. It was also awkwardly quiet. No music or anything. We won't be back. The ice cream was a average quality. You can definitely get better ice cream elsewhere in town. Only redeeming factor is the punny name.

Yelp
OG Sugar and Spice was ordered and like many have said, it seems to take a while, but once it arrived, I thought it was worth the wait. I'm an ice cream snob, and this ice cream was delicious. The waffle was also delicious. I can't complain. My wife ordered a simple waffle come with the salted caramel, and she LOVED it. All and all, once they figure out how to expedite orders, this place is a solid dessert option in EG.

Yelp
The ice cream was good and the bubble waffle came out hot. The service was good and interactive, however at the time there was only two groups in the store. The food came out after like 5 minutes not that long of a wait. Overall very good and tasty.

Yelp

Yelp
I was there opening day, customer #10. I tried to use the app but system would not take my $5 reward, nor did I receive points for my purchase. Then the long wait for the order - employees were clearly NOT trained - I chalked it up to opening day but prices are high! I returned on the first day they reopened last week. Only a father with 2 small children ahead of me. We were the only customers in the store. Again, I tried to use the app for my $5 reward. It came up and this time took my discount and I also got my points, but when I checked my receipt later at home, was only given a $4.50 reward! Why?? There were 5 employees fumbling to make these very simple orders! The Dad had 1 shake and 2 kids scoops in a dish - the kids had a couple of toppings. Father said it was almost $30 and he would not be back. I have to agree. I had 1 scoop of ice cream in a dish with a regular sugar cone on top, no toppings and one of the packaged waffles to go. A 3-yr old could have made these orders faster. Prices are way too high for what you get and staff still are not trained. Sorry, but we've got tastier and less costly options at Baskin-Robbins and Handels nearby without a wait so long that your ice cream is melted by the time you get your order.

Yelp
No app, no Ubereat. There are only three tables in the store, all the guests have to stand and wait, the guys is working too inefficient

Yelp
This place is nice if you are craving a super sweet treat! The worker was very friendly, we got the dolly dream and sugar n spice. I personally liked the dolly dream better, the sugar n spice was good too, it tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. When we got the ice cream, all of the toppings were deconstructed into boxes and we had to basically build it ourselves. Maybe because they were closing soon or because we said togo, I'm not sure, but that was not a problem since we were going to drive home anyways. Nothing too much to really say, it was good but I am not sure if I would return since it was a little too sweet for me, but it was definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Went in on a weekday and the hype seems to have died down quite considerably. There were a few customers inside and 3 people working. We took a quick look at the options and ordered the #1 express which was nutella and strawberry on their signature waffle. When it came out the toppings were scarce. The Nutella was thinly drizzled on and the strawberries were sliced and placed in the middle. It looked nothing like the photos but when does any place actually give you what the photos show? Upon first bite there was barely any Nutella taste and the waffle was semi warm but stale. The shop stores a bunch of waffles in a glass case and uses them throughout the day. I'm not sure how often they are being rotated out or new ones being made but I'd imagine a fresh waffle would make a huge difference in taste and texture. The only saving grace was the strawberries. While not a lot on the waffle they were perfectly sweet and paired well with everything. For the cost and what we got, I can't justify going back.

Yelp
Severely understaffed. Went on a Wednesday at 2:47pm and they had one guy taking orders and fulfilling them. Cool ambiance and delicious food, but they need to invest in their staff urgently.

Yelp
It is severely overpriced and when we ordered the ice cream and waffles, they were not good. Also, one of our waffles was still raw and undercooked.

Yelp
Good ice cream and nice customization with all the different toppings and sauces. A little overpriced for the size you get.

Yelp
We didn't realize until we got here that it was the grand opening. The line outside didn't look too bad, but it took over two hours total to get our order, from start to finish. We actually ended up driving somewhere else for ice cream after waiting over an hour, came back, and still waited another 30 minutes for our order, and put it in the freezer once we got home. I'm not going to even dock them for that since it was the grand opening. We should have known better and bailed. The portions were INCREDIBLY TINY for the price. One scoop of ice cream on a small waffle bed, tiny amount of drizzle, and about a teaspoon of whipped cream for over $10. I was honestly shocked when they handed them to me...this is it??? It only filled about half of the small cardboard container. The Horchata flavor was good, but the Cookie Monster had almost no flavor at all. I see no reason to go back.

Yelp
I was definitely not impressed with The Dolly Llama, first when we got there we weren't greeted and the. When we got to the register to order we were treated like we should have known how everything worked there. Second the person taking our order was eating food. Third the guy making our ice creams was eating food and talking on his cell phone. Fourth the people who order after us got the ice cream before we did. Fifth it took over 30 mins for them to complete our order from ordering to receiving. Sixth the ice cream just was that good. I wanted to like this place I had high hopes.

Yelp
Decided to try our new ice cream spot near by. The kids loved the shakes, waffles, and ice cream. Waffles were fresh and hot. We would definitely come here again. Super clean spot and the man helping us was nice.
