The Döner Shawarma (GARDEN CITY)

This Döner spot is AMAZING!!! They have beautiful artwork all around the restaurant with an elegant orange couch that goes across the restaurant for dining. The staff is so cool and professional, I have been here many times now and they are always kind and friendly! My last order was a to go order and he was so humble he skipped the tip portion saying you’re all good but of course I still did cash. Wonderful people wonderful food! I’m middle eastern and I know what authentic Döner kebab is, from Germany and Turkey, this spot does an amazing job representing these authentic hot spots for it! I definitely recommend ordering food from here to support them and your stomach will thank you right back, keep being amazing! Big love!

Tried Doner Shawarma yesterday and it definitely hit the spot! The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and everything tasted fresh. The meat was well seasoned and juicy, and the garlic sauce was spot on. The place was clean, and service was quick and friendly. We’ll be back for sure!

This is the Best Döner We've found in Michigan so far. If you're looking for Turkish-German cuisine, this is the place. We got the chicken and beef Döner with fries. 1 sandwich alone will fill you up, but the fries are worth sharing too. Get extra sauces , and definitely put the sauce on the side, because the spicy sauce will kick your teeth if you're not careful.

First time here, got carrot with sauces on side so the bread would stay in tact like I’ve seen in other reviews . They were out of chicken so I hit the beef Doner, the portions were awesome whole different style and vibe. My only complaint was the bread still crumbles 2 bites in and with sauces added the bed was still pretty dry. All in all still not bad will try the chicken might be more satisfying for me I’ll give it this beef one a seven out of 10. The fries they were soggy but tasty .

Food is so good, I do not care about anything else. If you are getting the Doner kabob, make sure it is with their special bread and not the wrap. Best Doner kabob I have had in the US and closest to the real one. And best part, food is not salty, you might even want to add a bit of salt (this might vary from time to time though)

I dread having to write this review but it had to be done. My review on the doner shawarma food truck on telegraph that was closed upon the opening of the store front is great 5 stars. I was so excited every time i passed by while this place was beimg prepped to be opened. This.... I'm pushing it with two stars. Im so disappointedand can see alot of angry former food truck customers leaving this place behind. Please bring back the food truck. Today... I ended up having chunks of burnt red meat in my chicken doner. I had a huge amount of spice in it as well. I never asked for spice. I literally could not tolerate the spice level of it and only finished a quarter of the doner. I have never felt there was spice at all when I was getting the same thing from the food truck. And I've never had other peoples food in my doner at the food truck either. I was given a 20 minute wait time for the food to be ready. Husband was inside the entire time waiting for it and they handed it to him almost 10 minutes late. What we received... for some reason was also cold. The doners were both cold (even when wrapped in foil and boxed) and the fried were cold. The fries also literally were just crumbs from the bottom of the fry bag. Not one French fry was 1 inch in length. If this downgrade does not change for the better...soon... I will have to stop eating one of my favorite foods that I was so excited about eating in America. Please bring back the food truck, and who ever it was that worked the food truck, or do better. Please 🙏. Also, please have the lady who takes the phone calls atleast put customers on hold before she has an entire conversation with kitchen staff when she answers calls. The place is clean and there a nice theme going. I will give them that. It is also important to note that during the time of my order... there was only 1 other to go order and 1 seated customer.

Food, disgusting, and dry manager argues does not respect the customer gaslight you and manipulate you into not giving a refund rather than take accountability of the dryness and the disgusting taste of their Shawarma do not recommend. Do not recommend to go or to eat, and if you have ordered from Then make sure you check your food before you leave

Today we found our new favorite chicken shawarma restaurant with my family! We ordered 3 chicken Shawarma’s with a combo seasoned fries and Dr. pepper. Came with 2 delicious sauces. Everything was very delicious. Unbelievable great price too! Might skip Thanksgiving dinner and go back for 2nds!

I am glad I got a chance to try this place out. I came shortly after noon on a Friday. No line, no wait. Took less than 10 mins for my food. I got the chicken doner with cilantro garlic fries. 10/10. Everything raving review this sandwich got, did not lie. Juicy chicken, hot & flavorful with a little crunch from the cabbage. I'm not usually a tomato girl but they didn't bother me in the least bit. I will definitely be back.

Very good sandwich from Germany/Turkey . , It is similar to your typical shawarma sandiwch but bread is different. They have shawarma here too if you want that. Sandwich is thick. Maybe 2 1/2". Chicken, lettuce, cabbage and sauce in every bite. Just the sandwich is enough for one person, you don't need a combo like me.

I recently checked out Doner Shawarma with a group of friends and we were not disappointed. Everything was super delicious! The atmosphere is fast casual. You order at the front counter and then they bring it out to your table. They had a long booth against the wall with tables and chairs setup. We had a group of 7 people and were able to find seating without any problem. Everyone in our group ordered the doner chicken shawarma combo, which came with a doner chicken shawarma sandwich, and choice of fries and drink. Drinks are offered as canned sodas and bottled water from a cooler. Fries were offered with choices of regular, house seasoned, and garlic cilantro fries. I had the seasoned fries which were very tasty. They gave Hopcat's cosmik/crack fries a run for their money. Some other people in my group had the garlic cilantro fries and they really liked those as well. Food came out pretty quickly and the server brought us extra sauces, and boxes and was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The chicken doner shawarma was definitely the star of the show. Sandwiches are huge! The sandwiches are big enough to split but I ended up taking my other half home and eating it for lunch the next day. The chicken donor came with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickled red cabbage, white sauce, and red sauce served in pita bread. The sauce was very tasty and the sandwich was so yummy! Doner Shawarma also offers desserts and some unique options like a Doritos Doner Burger, doner egg rolls and they offer vegetarian options as well. Loved the food here! I'll be dreaming about the chicken doner shawarma sandwich and can't wait to return.

I usually order takeout from here. The beef doner shawarma is my favorite. Its full of so much flavor and is a huge meal. I don't usually finish it in one sitting. I have also tried the chicken doner which is good too but im a beef guy. The saj shawarma is also very good here. This is my go to place for takeout.

BEST SANDWICH EVER EATEN !!!! Husband and I got a carry out and we got a beef and a chicken Donar shawarma sandwich that we split in half to try both and they were both EXCELLENT !!!!! The bread is not so thick that all you taste is bread !!! I love that it has sesame seeds too :) The meat was perfectly seasoned, crunchy vegetables (purple cabbage & onion), tomatoes and the sauce they use not sure what it is but it's delicious !!! The sandwiches are huge too !! Super friendly staff and reasonable prices for what your getting :) TRY IT OUT you won't regret it :) I also see they have a nice little seating area outside with a few tables and umbrellas :)

I've had German-style doner sandwiches in a few places so far, but this establishment here makes it the best in my opinion. Most people are used to these sandwiches being made with flatbread or wraps, but the bread used here is Turkish Pide. Normally when I've had these sandwiches the bread is thick and a bit chewy, but the way this restaurant prepares it is by pressing it down to give a nice toast on the outside so it feels more crunchy. I much prefer it this way because I end up tasting more of the contents of the sandwich vs the bread and it gives the sandwich a better texture. I also feel like it makes the meat and vegetables less prone to spilling all over the place which I found to be an issue with other doner kebabs I've had. Meat was perfectly tender, sauce is amazing, and the vegetables brought everything together for a nice balance. Also cannot forget the well seasoned garlic cilantro fries and a bottle of water. Altogether this combo cost $20, which I think is a great value considering how much food I got.

The Donor was very good. Chicken and beef is what we ordered with the combos. Not super inexpensive but very good.
