Tremendous donuts…although all donuts are good…Some are better. This blueberry/glazed twist knot might be the best donut in my life. ( 62 yo) . Though I am a fan of jelly( fruit) filled donuts….next time will try the jelly.

It's so good. Nice, large, fresh donuts. These donuts are mostly the traditional yeast variety, about double the size of KK or DD. I thought they had a good ratio of donut to icing/glaze, not excessively sweet. And the filled donuts had a proper amount of cream or jelly. It would be nice to have a clearer differentiation between the premium and regular donuts, as the premium are not included the 1/2 doz. special. Service was very friendly, though it is a tight space and could cause a constricted line during busy times. They only have 6-8 varieties at one time, so don't expect to order 2 dozen expecting all different flavors.

Apple filled, strawberry cheesecake, and blueberry—raised, not cake—were all spectacular. Employee working at open Saturday was super friendly. Attractive store and amazing donuts. Wish I lived nearby!

If you love yeasted donuts, this shop is a must; they are the best in town by far. While others rave about cake donuts or the fluffy/airy ones, I only like these chewy, decadent yeast donuts.

YUM! They have a donut breakfast sandwich that I wish I could eat every single day! They have numerous specialty donuts and fried pies. The interior of the restaurant is very home-like and comfortable! They support other community businesses by letting people put their business cards between the table and the glass of the table! I thought it was a very nice touch! The owners/staff are always so kind to me and my family!

Omg! ONLY mom&pop donut shop in Charlottesville currently, and it is fantastic! Amazing soft, fresh donuts, huge. They sold out several times in the first few hours, and for good reason. Beautiful seating area. Sooooo happy!

Dropped in to this brand new donut shop in the Pantops Food Lion shopping center in the afternoon. Was initially disappointed at the minimal selection of donut varieties, but the donuts were large, fresh and delicious. Several charging ports available throughout the shop. Saturday mornings are busiest.

The local spot for tasty home made doughnuts in C’ville. My little guy loves this place and has to have one every time we drive by. The coffee options, seasonal doughnuts and friendly staff are amazing unlike the national chain down the street.

Came in here with my brother for some donuts on a Saturday morning and wanted to support a local spot! The Donut Kitchen is a cute store with a fun variety of fall themed donuts and coffee pairings. The service was very kind and speedy. We got our donuts within minutes and sat down inside. I got the Pumpkin donut which was a bit lackluster. I felt the donut itself lacked flavor and did not exactly taste fresh as I had initially expected. Perhaps I will be back to try out some different menu options.

Just went to the donut kitchen this morning. The ladies working the counter were so nice. There's a great selection of donuts and they're huge. I got a latte with coconut syrup -and the peach filled donut rolled in sugar. Both were amazing. They also run a deal with a drip coffee and donut for $5 and buy 5 donuts get the 6th free. I sat there to eat and the room is very nice. Lot of seating and a variety of options

Sooooo delicious! Got the cinnamon sugar, blueberry, chocolate glazed and regular glazed. All of them were so good, best donuts I've had.

Stopped in to bring a half dozen of donuts to work. Was immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman who let me know the seasonal special donut and the filled donut flavors. Went with two Bavarian cream and 4 glazed. The donuts were amazing!! Will be coming back for more!

Very good they used to have a food truck next to the Research Park and we would stop every week to get donuts for the team.

The donuts tasted old and so dry and dense. I was so excited after seeing good reviews but these donuts were on par with the grocery store.

My husband and son are big donut fans and we were excited to try this new donut place in Pantops. The pros: super friendly staff, decent selection, large size donuts, and everything is made from scratch. However, our donuts were super dry. Not fluffy at all. The blueberry and jam filled ones were the best, but glazed, sugar, and frosted top ones were so dry and dense that we didn't eat them. I hope they can figure out how to make them fluffier because I heard their food truck donuts were amazing!

Absolutely the best doughnuts in Charlottesville. The chocolate glaze haze a nice crisp edge, which is always a plus and the chocolate glaze was good but could be great with a little dark chocolate. The Bavarian cream was just ok. The doughnut part was good but the cream was too sweet and I couldn't finish it. Nice staff and eager for feedback, which is a sign of a good entrepreneur. I'll definitely be back. Anxious to try one of the flavored or cider doughnuts.

Absolutely amazing doughnuts!!! The dough itself is delicious, it's light, airy and the perfect density. The toppings and fillings all taste decadent and freshly made. I can't wait to go back and try some more!

What a great little spot for coffee and a donut! They didn't have any unglazed donuts ready (most people wouldn't want one but they're my favorite), but they offered to make me one on the spot! Nice ambiance, too. This place is worth seeking out. Thanks, Donut Kitchen!

The donuts didn't taste super fresh (went at 9am), and they seemed a little dense. They may have also been a little too sweet. I didn't feel great after eating them.

Service is great. Very attentive and nice. Ambiance is not so great. Why is it so dark in there? I need a flashlight to get up to the counter-dang. Oh yeah-I guess you want to know about the donuts. Walmart donuts put these to shame. Giant has a pretty mean (really good) donut also-they are better than kitchen . Ok. I went to kitchen donut this morning and I know doggone well they passed off 2 donuts from yesterday. No where near the price.

The best donuts ever! Great taste and just the right texture. Sweet family owned business just getting it off the ground and working hard at it. I think this will be my new fav place!! Excellent coffee drinks as well.

super friendly, lovely people! and the coffee that i had was amazing (iced vanilla latte with oatmilk)! i also loved the maple bacon donut, they're so big and sweet and yummy. love this place!
