The Donut Trap - Retail & Patio

I would never have thought for a little food spot to go in this funny location in the neighborhood, but it fits in very naturally and makes the area feel more lively -- such a nice addition to the neighborhood! I stopped by to get a couple of donuts on a Saturday morning and there were families in line with many others eating donuts and drinking coffee at the outdoor tables with chill music playing. The donuts had great flavor, were very fresh, were fun/unique, and were well-priced at $4 each (as of 2025-06-28). I'll have to come back with my wife to sample the ice cream.

We absolutely loved this place! The donut-ice cream combo was the best. The staff was very fun and enthusiastic too. We’d definitely recommend a visit!

A great addition to the neighborhood. The donuts were delicious. The texture/taste of the donut itself is sort of like a muffin/coffee cake. Very moist and tasty. The standout of the donuts I tried was the Thotiana, a churro tres leches flavor, it was ridiculously tasty.

We stopped by The Donut Trap for the first time this morning. The donuts are fantastic, the owner is as well. Very nice young man, loaded with ambition and a great personality. I wish I could give this review 6 stars, it was that good. If you’re in the neighborhood you gotta try them.

Super cute walk up donut place! Even before we ordered we felt the kindness running this shop. The vibes were delightful. The donut flavors are en pointe! There was a wide variety of fun flavors with playful names. The texture of a these cake donuts is like a quick bread (think bananas or zucchini bread). Not what we were expecting but we were won over! Plenty of picnic tables outside for seating.

Great place! The donuts are SO GOOD and creative. In my opinion, one of the best donut places out there. The owner and staff are super nice too.

The Donut Trap just recently opened their doors and it is amazing! The owner Bradley is easily one of the most passionate, charismatic and funniest person you'll meet. I could talk to him and his team forever and that's just part of what makes this spot so fun! The donuts are delicious, they are kind of like a coffee cake base that is super tasty and compliment the toppings nicely and they have some hilarious names and themes. We had the thic judge Judy which has some cookies and cream toppings and the s'mores and crushed them both they were so good. The patio is great and the mural on their wall is beautiful. The biggest surprise for me was the cold brew, never thought I would mix coke and coffee but it gives it a refreshing sweetness that is really nice.

Great vegan donut options at a bright, welcoming spot in St Paul. The donuts are moist and flavorful, and service is very friendly. The patio is artistic and welcoming with colorful murals and a nearby community garden. The owner has an awesome mission and has plans for many future community events at the shop.

Awesome selection of fun donut flavors. I was hesitant because they appeared to be cake donuts. They sort of were, but they were almost more like a moist coffee cake shaped like a donut, and they were so good. The coffee was good, the guy serving (who I think is one of the owners) was incredibly nice and courteous. Lots of places to sit on a nice, simple little patio. 100% recommend if you're in the neighborhood.
