The Dorsey

If I could give zero stars, I would. We’ve had unresolved AC issues for two summer seasons in a row, with the temperature in our apartment sitting at 83 degrees for over a month this summer. The “repairs” are just temporary bandages that never fix the root problem. Management has been completely unresponsive and fails to communicate any updates or solutions. On top of the AC nightmare, our car was broken into while parked on the property, and there are constant issues with the garage doors not working properly, which makes security feel like an afterthought. For the price we pay, the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic maintenance is unacceptable. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere before considering living here. Edit: The AC units in place, as mentioned in our continuous emails that remain ignored, are not doing anything to cool the apartment and our bedrooms are still above 80 degrees. Your time would be better spent addressing this directly than continuing the public facing facade you’re so desperately pushing by answering google reviews.

Went in to tour and the leasing team here is very professional. Toured with Cheesa and she was great! The place smells like fall and the events the team throws look awesome. Rafael the coordinator mentioned they have lots of them throughout the month.

Needless to say, I didn’t have the most pleasant move-in experience. I was informed last minute that the plans would change according to my initial move-in due to a scheduling oversight which was resolved so not the worst thing. When I moved into my unit, it was completely filthy. There was glue EVERYWHERE from maintenance re-installing the flooring. The walls had not been re-painted and the flooring had not been completed. I informed the front desk and instead of being apologetic, I was given some irrelevant justification as to why it wasn’t cleaned, which isn’t really what I was expecting to hear. I was offered a housekeeping service but it wouldn’t have resolved any issues because I had already cleaned. I shouldn’t have had to clean a “move-in ready” apartment prior to moving my stuff in. I spent my own money for cleaning supplies on top of the move-in fees. The exterior door outside of the elevators reeks of dog urine from people letting their pets urinate on the sidewalk. It’s just disgusting to have to walk through it. Please inform the staff of how to properly exhibit customer service so these types of things don’t occur again. Otherwise, the building, amenities and close proximity to downtown activities are a positive. *Update 3/12/25* Heather (property manager) is a rockstar. Professional, courteous and prompt. She got right on it and fixed my issues. Everyone on her staff can take a lesson from her in the way of customer service. Thanks Heather!

Living at The Dorsey means being right in the middle of one of Denver’s most historic and dynamic neighborhoods. The building has a sleek, modern design with all the expected conveniences—secure access, fitness center, rooftop lounges, and stylish common spaces. The real highlight is location: you’re steps from coffee shops, bars, music venues, and the light rail. Five Points has deep history and a growing food/arts scene, so you’re never far from something interesting. For people who want city energy but also a comfortable home base, The Dorsey nails it. The best part isn’t just the building itself, but the people—tenants here are genuinely friendly, and it feels like a real community rather than just another apartment complex.

As an entertainer this place is really welcoming. Love the onsite team for being so accommodating and so inclusive. Such a great experience to be part of a mini market featuring vendors at an event hosted onsite. Thank you Dorsey Team

Raf has been a true bright spot living here. This is easily the best managed luxury living I have been apart of. The attention to detail and care he puts in to each of the residents is second to none! Cant wait to resign my lease 😊

The Dorsey where do I even start? This property is absolutely amazing. The team is phenomenal especially a Big shout out to Rafael the life-style director and Heather community manager for always putting on great events and making sure the community is always in tiptop shape. The leasing team is always there willing to help with anything that you need. The maintenance team Big shout out to Mike is great at keeping the property looking. It’s very best or taken care of my work orders within 24 hours.

I’ve been living at The Dorsey for over a year now, and I can confidently say it’s been the most wonderful experience. From day one, the sense of community fostered by the staff has truly made this place feel like home. A special thank you to the Lifestyle Director for coordinating such thoughtful and fun events—because of them, I’ve met so many neighbors who have now become friends. Whether it’s a casual gathering or a themed event, there’s always something to look forward to that brings residents together in meaningful ways. The Dorsey isn’t just an apartment complex—it’s a vibrant community, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

Apartment complexes are hit or miss, but the Dorsey has been one of the best apartment experiences I've had. The staff has been wonderful and maintenance has always been super quick to fix things when needed. There are usually multiple community events that happen each week, which has been a great way to meet people after moving here from out of state. Honestly, the only bummer is that we don't have a hot tub. I can't speak to everyone's experiences, but I definitely recommend this place!

Extremely loud pool parties/events you can hear the music down the street, tried talking to management they don't care

We have not had an easy or pleasant move-in. Our ongoing punch list that is still unaddressed: Carpet transitions still not fixed - exposed nails and carpet buckling. Toilet paper holders in both bathrooms are broken and not usable. No access to grills/pool deck, 2mo ago at leasing tour, opening "soon" Storage units still unavailable. Difficulty with access fobs and vehicle entrance gates. (Cannot leave or access building at times) Crap vinyl plank floors (residue present, still look damaged). Dust falling out of the microwave vents onto our food. Were told there would be a "final clean" which definitely never occurred. When we mentioned we were unhappy with the floors we were told It was "cheap vinyl" that would never polish up to our "standards." Multiple attempts were made to fulfill the promises made during our initial leasing tour. The repair of the floors was promised to be addressed prior to move in. Our new white couch had stain residue similar to the wax they were trying to fix floors with after being moved for the third time during "cleaning." When asking for a credit for our troubles we were told we signed an agreement under our lease as a "construction addendum" waiving Greystar of any responsibility for the move-in problems. The most disconcerting problems were continually being ignored, not taken seriously, and a general lack of communication. Contractors show up at all hours of the day with no warning. Appointments set up, no-show, then no follow up for days if it all. Do not recommend moving here.

I love the Dorsey! I am their cold brew coffee vendor and I'm jealous I don't live here! Rafael is a great community coordinator that hosts so many fun events every week!

Cannot wait for this to open! Looks great! Has all the extras. Pool looks fabulous. Management, Heather, is phenomenal. Very knowledge and professional. Answered all my questions.
