The Dragon

"Pre-booking is recommended at this spacious restaurant boasting a contemporary décor, with Chinese details, tan wood finishes and comfy chairs, which add to the feeling of serenity. The kitchen is run by experienced chefs specialising in Cantonese cuisine. Signature dishes include stir-fried pork tendons in XO sauce, crispy barbecued pork, roasted baby duck (pre-order needed) and Cantonese-style Peking duck (in strictly limited quantities)." - Michelin Inspector

Roast goose! 😋👍 excellent skin, great soup. Everything including the add-ons was tasty. (Although no need for the 豬腳麵線 at that price; better to go to a traditional place like in a night market 🤪)

Dining at Grand Sheraton Taipei's Cantonese restaurant, felt, was a delightful experience that truly showcased the essence of refined and authentic Cantonese cuisine. The Peking duck, a highlight of our meal, was presented in three delectable forms: crispy duck skin, savory fried duck strips, and a richly flavourful duck soup. Each preparation allowed us to savour different aspects of the duck, with the soup being particularly impressive due to its deep, satisfying flavours. While the vegetable dishes were fairly ordinary, the seafood fried noodles stood out for their freshness. The seafood components were exceptionally fresh, adding a vibrant taste to the dish that complemented the noodles perfectly. The restaurant's ambiance is perfect for large gatherings, with spacious round tables that can comfortably accommodate up to ten people. This setup made our group dinner both enjoyable and convenient, allowing for easy conversation and a convivial atmosphere. Overall, all at Grand Sheraton Taipei is a commendable choice for those seeking authentic Cantonese dishes in a setting that caters well to larger groups. The quality of the Peking duck and the seafood fried noodles are definitely worth returning for.

The four-course roast duck was exceptional, easily one of the best in Taipei. The skin was perfectly crisp, the meat tender and juicy, and each sauce and condiment thoughtfully prepared to complement the dish. The dining ambience was relaxed and refined, with well-spaced tables that allowed for a sense of privacy, even when the restaurant was full. It was a quiet, comfortable meal from start to finish.

Have been there several times and food has been consistently delicious! Service would depend on how busy they were and if understaffed for the night.

2024 Michelin restaurant Everyone orders the duck that is served like Peking duck style over 4 courses. 1st is peking duck wrapped, 2nd is stir fried with vegetables, 3rd is duck legs cubed and finally the duck soup. It takes a long time to serve all the dishes so, you will need to order some appetizer while you wait for the soup. Leave room for the soup because it is worth waiting for. As expected with a Michelin restaurant in a 5 star hotel, the price is very high. Comparable to NYC 5 star restaurants w/o any Michelin stars.

Nice comfortable decor, on B1 level, no windows. Mostly large tables, reservation is recommended, certain dishes also need to pre order, such as the golden goose, 4 ways, which is a very popular item. The goose dishes were all delicious, tasty, flavorful. The pancakes were perfect, the meat salad was our favorite item, refreshing and love the sauce. The dim sum items were reasonably good, could use some improvements. The pork belly though was just average. Service was ok, could use more staff. Overall, the goose alone already earns them the 5 stars.

Google
Michelin restaurant serving delicious Cantonese food. We ordered some drunken chicken, roasted duck, steamed chicken with ginger, fried rice with Chinese sausage and soy sauce, broccoli and garlic, fried rice noodles with sliced beef Strongly advised to make a reservation. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Convenient location with good public transportation. But $$$$

We were lucky to book a table for 3 having a wonderful lunch time in this restaurant. They launched a special buffet in event for 2 months after a long quarantine period in this Pandemic. Event though it’s a lunch buffet, but they didn’t compromise the quality! Some of the highly recommended dishes must try!
