Only had a chance to grab takeout once from here on my trip to Folly, but my Surfer Chick chicken salad sandwich was great. Not onion-y, which I appreciate in chicken salad. I got the pasta salad as a side as recommended by the gal working the counter and it was great too- some kind of corn/elote flavor profile. She was super sweet and gave me ice water and Folly tip/recs while I waited. The inside vibe was super cool and divey, would love to return for a night out.

Our family loves the drop inn. Local vibe, delicious food and great beer/drinks. My go to is the Little Havana, my husband loves the cheese steak, our daughter loves the going out west salad, our son loves the double cheeseburger. We also love their breakfast hash browns. This place is an absolute gem that has never disappointed us. Cheers!!!!

Omg this place!!! Arguably the best club sandwich I’ve ever had.. and yes it was just a club, but it was so good! The espresso martini was also bomb! The atmosphere and staff was so fun! I highly recommend this place and I’d def go back. The vibes are everything!

I’m glad I Dropped In to the Drop In. Over the top dog friendly, this place is as funky as funky can get and they make some mean Blackened Flounder Tacos. How do I know… it’s what I had for lunch and they were the bomb. This was a great find in this cool little town. Give them a try and I think you’ll be glad you did.

Ordered take-out for lunch on the beach. Food was ready on time and really good. Their sandwiches and wraps are large portions! I got the Pollo Loco and my wife got the classic club. We liked them both! It came with a side which we chose pasta salad and potato salad. They were both good but we wished the portions were larger. The Drop-In is a solid choice for a quick bite to eat.

My husband and I came in due to reviews and we’re so glad we did. This was a great lunch place and was well portioned and came out quickly. The bartender was super sweet! All in all, we had a great experience.

Fantastic! I had the blackened fish sando and husband had double cheeseburger. We both enjoyed the meal very much. Everything was incredibly fresh. The service was pleasant prompt and we just couldn't ask for a better experience. I highly recommend giving this place a try and a return visit.

This was one of the best sandwiches I ever had and the most perfect beach bite. I randomly dropped in before heading to the beach and ordered a club- no bacon/ham with extra turkey instead. This sandwich was perfection. Each piece of bread was also toasted perfectly in butter and I ate EVERY bite. My server/barista was so friendly and she made my vanilla latte great. Even the pasta salad on the side was delicious and I normally don't eat that. In my opinion, a sandwich is the perfect meal for a beach day and THIS sandwich in particular was exceptional.

Thank you Yelpers for the high marks on this place. We drove into town from the airport and the house we were renting wasn't available yet, so we stopped here for a late lunch. It is kinda a dive bar, fun and decorative. I wasn't sure what to expect from the food, but WOW. Best bean burger! Avocado plus a little sour cream, tomato, lettuce and red onion. . You order at the bar, easy peasy and the bartender brought it to the table. It was great service and super hospitality. The tater salad was delicious. It had brisket in it which just added great flavor. Soo good. Everyone enjoyed their sandwich and tater salad. The chicken club, wrap and Pholly cheese. All excellent! Great introduction to Folly Beach. Soooo glad we stopped here. Highly recommend!

Food was awesome. First time here. All five of us enjoyed our food. The waitress was ok, but she was doing everything.

Eclectic dive bar for locals, but such a quirky and funky vibe. You order at the bar and your meal is served rather quickly. I ordered the Going Out West Salad which was filled with chicken, corn, black beans and avocados. Avocados are my jam. The spicy ranch dressing had a kick that I really enjoyed. A fun place to stop in when visiting Folly Beach. Very affordable!

Food was good. Took almost an hour for breakfast. Friendly staff. Eggs cold. Breakfast burrito was good

I went here as a last resort because the other restaurants are closed. Getting the food took AT LEAST 25 min. Then the barista forgot about us. And the cooks were smoking weed in the restaurant. And she flicked off my friend because she forgot his chips. And the service was terrible and the barista was very rude to my friend when he said yes to her. And the barista also talked about suicide out loud, being in prison out loud, and smuggling weed out loud. The description of this person is: blue and white dress, pink socks and dark black boots. please take care of this. Thanks you.

I ordered to go and my food was FANTASTIC!! The price was good as well! The food was quick. The coleslaw was spicy compared to what I was expected.

Was in town, saw their reviews so I had to make a stop. At first i was not sure, not into country music, but im not hatin'....was looking for something small instead of splurging and ordered their "Redneck" sandwich as per bartenders recommendation and it was spot on amazing. It was pre-halloween and thus the bartender was dressed as Shania Twain and was warm, sweet, and welcoming. And it seems like the place to be because of all the locals who were coming in.. Very eclectic atmosphere, fun and great food, service, and drinks...she even played Ozzy's 'Good Bye to Romance' for me...i will be back...thank you Shania!

It did not live up to the hype. We showed up in the evening during normal dinner hours and our first clue that we were going to be disappointed was the sign that said to order at the bar and the fact that nobody drinking at the bar had food. A couple walked in and went to the end of the bar to order. The bartender would stop chatting with her friends to notice they were there. She eventually took their drink order. Our party was the only group not at the bar, so it was obvious we were ready to order when all of us had to get up and walk over to the bar, yet it took a minute to get her attention. We placed our order, but wasn't asked if we wanted anything to drink before heading back to our table. The bartender never left from behind the bar except to deliver food. We then had to ask for some waters. I saw the reviews and pictures of food and the portions looked healthy. I ordered the fish sandwich and the portion was so small that I wasn't even sure they put any fish actually in the sandwich. Another person in my party ordered the Redneck. It was overflowing with chicken and was a sizable portion. What a contrast! Lastly, at the top of the menu, it says "choice of side", but there are a few items that don't come with a side. You will be charged extra, so read carefully. Given the lack of service and the question on whether there was even fish on the fish sandwich, I cannot give this place anything but a negative review. Even my teenagers were asking how I was going to tip the bartender given the lack of service.

My friend and I dropped in for lunch and it was fantastic! I had a chicken Caesar salad wrap and she had the fish tacos. Both meals were great and the staff is so friendly! We will definitely be back!

Yummy! I came here for the good reviews. It's a small place. I think it's better for takeout which is what we did. We called in our order ahead of time and my husband walked over there. It's in a great location. I got the Spicoli sandwich with the pasta salad. The sandwich was basically an italian sandwich. Pasta salad was delicious with a slight spice to it. My husband got the Flat Foot Floozy with pasta salad. He enjoyed his meal as well. I would definitely come back here. Great alternative if you didn't feel like eating seafood.

It's a hole in the wall restaurant on Folly Beach, but don't let that deter you from trying the place. The prices are decent and the food definitely satisfies especially after a day at the beach. You order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. My husband ordered the Redneck and I got the Pollo Loco. Both sandwiches were hot, delicious, and definitely hit the spot. The sides are okay, nice to have, but those sandwiches 10/10.

What a great find! Got carry out from here 2x on our beach trip and everything was made well and tasted great. Ordered the Going Out West Salad, The Redneck, Pholly Cheesesteak & Blackened Grouper sandwiches. The employees are friendly and they deliver to you ($2 fee) if you don't feel like going out. If we visit here again, will definitely try more of their food!!

I had the Spicoli and it was fabulous! The prices are good as well. So difficult to find good food at a decent price these days! Will definitely be back.

Great dive bar frequented by locals. Great food, great drinks. Make friends and get great suggestions for the rest of your trip! We did and here is what they recommended to catch a nice sunset a few minutes away.

Ate here for lunch last week and am a big fan now! We were visiting Folly Beach for the day and wanted a quick place to grab lunch. They're located right on a main street. We had to pay for parking while at the beach, so stayed there and walked to The Drop In for lunch. We were able to immediately get seating at the bar. The bartender was super friendly, greeting us and taking our order. We didn't have to wait very long for drinks or our food. Seemed like a fun spot for locals to hangout. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches with potato salad and they were super yummy! Fun little spot if you're in the area. Prices are very affordable too.

It really was a drop in deli. Super convenient to walk over from the beach and grab a delicious sandwich. My boyfriend got the Italian sandwich and I got the cheesesteak both were extremely good and enjoying it on the beach just makes it that much better. I love that each of the sandwiches weren't just thrown together it was a really well put together sandwich . I would highly recommend for a quick lunch in folly beach.

Omggg!!! That was the BEST CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!!! We actually live on Folly Island and rarely do fast food/delivery food , but tonight was just one of those exhausting evenings. First of all the girl that took our call was so sweet , polite and patient. We ordered the " Redneck " chicken cheese steak and a beef steak cheese steak. Side of Cole slaw and side of chips. It took no time at all for our " Hot Food " to arrive. The driver was so friendly and fast ! The food was extremely fresh and the bread to meat to cheese proportions where on point!! Absolutely the best cheese steak we have had and we will be ordering again. Thank you so much! You made our dinner evening effortless and delicious

Best food and best prices on the island. I've had the grouper sandwich, delicious and generous portions. The War Pig with mustard sauce is far superior to most of the inauthentic overpriced South Carolina barbecue sandwiches sold all over town. My first go-to would be the Gyro, but the tzatziki sauce seems thick & mayo infused. There are more items to try, and I expect the diner will not be disappointed. Thumbs Up for Folly Beach food.

Great local place, plenty of local flavor! They are one of the few places on Folly Beach that does delivery. The food is always spot on, the service is always fantastic too!

The Drop-In Bar & Deli on Center Street on Folly Beach is an excellent option for delicious sandwiches, tacos, and drinks. I really like the location and how everything is ready for you quickly when you need it. Good overall experience every time I have been here.

This is a little hole in the wall type place. It is EXTREMELY LOUD so much that we had to lean across the table and yell to have a conversation. If i were only rating the atmosphere, we frankly would have left. There were people literally screaming across the restaurant/bar, cussing and nearly falling down drunk at 7pm. However, We came for the sushi only because it got excellent reviews. The sushi did not disappoint. It was excellent. We got three rolls to split. They were all freshly made and delicious. If you want to be able to talk over dinner, I suggest getting it to go.

Placed a order after 4:00 on a very busy Saturday promptly done on time. Dang Quesa Dillah- Pork, devoured by everyone as a app. Cali club was outstanding nice chunks of chicken breast. Fresh tasty! Pollo loco was good tasty turkey breast Little Havana-pork mustard pickles yummy!!! Baked potato salad was awesome!!!!!! If your not sure what side get the potato salad!!!!!!! Cheese cake, Carmel was very good!

A group of us went into this place there was probably 15 of us? We brought them a bunch of business and when it came time to pay and everyone chipped in and we gathered the money the bartender said we were short $3 which I think was 1 miller lite. Everyone paid what they ordered but he made a fuss about it and we paid the extra. This is a prime example of all the places in Folly Beach, tourist trap, they get all they can get out of the customers where in this case when 15 people show up to your business and start ordering drinks and celebrating a birthday a normal bartender you would say let me get the birthday person a beer or forget the $3 that was probably wrong by them anyways. So silly and sad.

Sushi by Lisa is a must for us whenever we are in Folly, and once again it didn't disappoint. The fish is so fresh and melts in the mouth. The Drop In bartenders and waiters and waitresses are also super friendly and attentive.

Very nice selection of beers and high quality food for the price. Does not cater to tourists or spend money on ambiance, but a great little hole in the wall for good food and drink at a fair price. Went there twice for lunch on most recent visit to FB.

Cool bar and grill. Burgers, wraps, and French dip were all amazing! And prices were very reasonable. Waitress/bartender was also very nice. Definitely recommend.

Second stop of the day, Bloody Mary with a PBR sidecar My kind of place!!! Bartender was amazing, was interactive and made some fantastic drinks!! Little dive bar feel, but in a good way!

Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name... and the Drop In embodies the friendly, welcoming beach atmosphere. This is a great local spot in Folly with a great crowd and killer staff. While they may not know everyone's name, you'll instantly feel a sense of belonging here. Maybe it's the small layout, maybe it's the alcohol, but every time I come here, it's a blast. Classic cool beach/surf vibe. Each visit, I see something else on the walls that I love and want to duplicate for my house! It feels funky in here without being overwhelming/overdone like some of the other places around. Despite the small space, they really know how to make the most of the seating situation in here. There are some table/booths set up, as well as two bars, and a little outdoor seating. It can get jam packed in here, but you'll likely always have a spot to sit if you want! Lots of different food options, including some gluten free swaps for those afflicted. Sandwiches, sushi, small plates-- even the pickiest eater should be able to chomp something. Prices are extremely reasonable on everything, which is especially great when you're out in Folly Beach. Go forth and Drop In!

We stopped in for a late lunch after a hot day at the beach. Omg...this place really hit the spot! I had the club with pasta salad. It could have easily fed two people, and the spicy mustard was great. My husband had the redneck sandwich and he loved it. There were lots of locals at the bar, so we knew we were at the right place.

Local favorite, vegan option, cold beer, awesome staff, great atmosphere. Laid back.

I really enjoyed the vibe here. This was like taking my favorite local gastropub and bringing it to the beach with me. Add in the great 90's rock/grunge playlist, and I was reliving a college moment. Food was fast and tasty. Bar service was great.

Our female bartender/server was far out ;) seriously she was awesome. The food was perfect, had the redneck and some beers. Kiddos ate well too!

I had a cheesesteak and a cheesecake here, and it. was. amazing. This place is a hidden gem, and a must visit if you're going to Charleston.

Great little bar right in the thick of it on Folly Rd. They often have great live music (Thursday-Saturday, definitely). Drink prices are really reasonable (whiskey and coke were $4 each for a good pour). Staff is super friendly and on top of it no matter how busy it seems to get. This bar is TINY, so when you get people in here, it tends to jam up. There are some tables out front for overflow as well. They have food that looks good, but have not tried. We've come here strictly to drink so far. Bathroom is decent- aka not super disgusting. It's a bar, so....it's a bathroom in a bar. You won't feel like you need a shower after using it, so that's a plus in my book. Overall, a fun little hang out. It's small but cozy. Outside spot out front to hang and smoke if that is your thing. Pretty varied crowd in here. Seems like late night turns into more of a locals bar. We dig it!

The Red Face sandwich was delicious! It exceeded my expectation I set just from the menu's description. It places me in the mind of a Jess Let it Simmer sandwich in Charlotte. Definitely will recommend!!

Food took far, far too long to arrive and was subpar. Mediocre service. Better options exist very close by.

My first stop whenever I'm in town. Friendly staff, great food, fun atmosphere. Everything I could ask for. I can't speak for the sushi, but the other food is amazing! Make sure you try the Spicolli! Best sandwich I've ever had in my life.

This place is my favorite in Folly. Bartenders have great personalities. Food is great. Sushi by Lisa is amazing. Never too crazy busy either.

Go there for the Erik Estrada and that is all. Best drink on the beach. Don't waste your time on the food. Maybe for brunch ‍

My wife and I visit Folly a couple times a year from Cincinnati. Lisa has become a dear friend from afar. As a local, She's great with Island insight. Takes time to chat as she multi-task over her sushi counter. Stop by! She has limited hours, so check her schedule first. Tell her Tom & Kathe sent you.

Bartender lady. Straight bitch. Doesn't understand customer service. Tried to order some food for my daughter and she was being ass the whole time.

Went in for lunch with the kids and was pleasantly surprised by the menu options. More than just hamburgers, they have wraps, pasta salad, sandwiches and more. Lots of items can be made vegetarian and it's nice to have some healthy options while on vacation. I had the Ophelia wrap and it was divine. Atmosphere is a little lacking, one of the booths had standing water, BUT the service was friendly and the price is right. Another bonus, they don't allow smoking outside until after 10, so we didn't have to walk through it with the kids.

Walking in it doesn't look like much but don't let that shy you away. (Usually some of the best places!). My boyfriend and I visited here twice during our stay. Our first visit, we ordered the classic club sandwich and the spicoli with potato salad. Both were very good! We were able to enjoy on the beach. We also had a couple drinks while waiting and the blonde bartender was great. Our next visit a couple days later, we ordered the Pholly Cheesesteak and the redneck with pasta salad. Both were so good and I will dream about these sandwiches! Great drinks and great bartender our second visit (flower tattoo on arm). Do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch and hangout. You will absolutely not be disappointed!

Stopped in for a bite not expecting much. The food and prices were unexpected. We ordered the grouper sandwich and double burger and both were excellent! It was nice finding a restaurant in Folly that didn't have the same menu items as everyone else. This place doesn't look like much but believe me...looks are not everything!
