Six of us came here this past Wednesday, and we had a great time. We wanted to find somewhere new and exciting to go, which wasn't the easiest thing to do on a Wednesday night. Most places were closed, but luckily the Drop Lounge was open, and on top of that, there's no cover charge. :)
When we arrived we had the place to ourselves! We got there pretty early so that wasn't surprising especially on a weekday, however as the night went on more and more people trickled in. The interior was by far one of the most aesthetically pleasing places I've been in awhile. It was like a cave with a stone ceiling and stone walls. It also had really nice lighting and comfortable seating. There was also a large space in the middle for dancing. On top of that it was very clean. Definitely one of the coolest bars I've been in.
Bob did a great job of taking care of us, even though we weren't the easiest crowd. We were clearly having an off night, and at one point knocked over a beer, and then moments later another person in our group knocked a different beer onto the floor, shattering it. Definitely not our shining moment, however Bob cleaned it up quickly, while making sure no one touched the glass, then told us to be careful (which we deserved) and was back behind the bar in a minute or so. He managed all of this on top of training a new bartender. Unfortunately we didn't get her name, but she was also very nice and accommodating.
At the end of the night we couldn't have been more happy with our decision to come to The Drop Lounge, we had a great time drinking and dancing. Thanks Bob, and sorry we made a bit of a mess! We will definitely be back someday, and hopefully we'll be on our game and won't spill anything next time around.
