Best Oyster Restaurants and Bars in London | Eater London

"As far as date night options go in the strangely sterile Coal Drops Yard, The Drop Wine Bar is one of the best bets. The wine list is full of some fairly interesting bottles that start from a friendly £27, and the opportunity to pair some of that plonk with a fat Jersey or Carlingford is difficult to pass up." - Lucas Oakeley

Best Restaurants in King’s Cross | Where to Eat at King’s Cross Station | Eater London

"The Harts’ crop of restaurants yawns over Coal Drops Yard like an arriving commuter, but given Spanish star Barrafina and its Pastor Mexican restaurants exist elsewhere, The Drop gets the pick as both a reliable after-work drinking spot and a wine bar whose menu edges it into “worth the trip” territory. All the cheese meat olives and that are decent, but head for beef and marmite mayonnaise toast, roast potatoes, and rabbit pie to go with a glass." - James Hansen

London’s Best Aperitivo Bars and Restaurants for Spritz and Snacks | Eater London

"Cosy up to a wine barrel outside this smart bar from Harts Group (Barrafina, Parrillan, Quo Vadis and El Pastor), where a different wine region is highlighted via monthly specials, and there’s a mouthwatering list of vermouth and sherries to supplement the canny house list. Once full of marcona almonds, truffle crisps and Jersey oysters, move onto seasonal cheeses such as Guernsey’s Maida Vale or the fruity Old Winchester, well-seasoned fennel salami or pancetta con giovanni, or simply commit to the cheese and meat board. Then on to… Coal Office, Kaki, Standard Hotel" - Suze Olbrich

Sightseeing with friends from out of town and we were looking for just a glass of wine and a sandwich. This was the ideal spot. You can sit outside, but inside was great. Quiet, and warm. (I am just fed up of places that are too noisy). Food lovely, recommend roast potatoes, toasted sandwich and a great wine list.

Lovely little gem, cosy atmosphere, quality food and wine, nice decor. Outside seating area is also available and heated in the winter months. We were lucky to find some seats as it is usually rather busy. Service is lacking, despite the small number of tables. We had a cheese board and a ploughman selection, both of which were of decent size and quality. I would recommend you pay it a visit.

Great atmosphere and great location! We came here after arriving to London by train. The station is quite close. We shared a beer and then walked along the canal. I’d we hadn’t been traveling for the day, I would have spent more time here!

THE ROAST POTATOES ARE SO AMAZING!! Best potatoes I’ve ever had anywhere on god no cap. Only complaint I have is the manager didn’t suggest it to me when I asked for fries….. 🤪 haha jokes aside staff are lovely and service was amazing too. Lovely place with quality vibes but not too bougie. Sitting outside is fab, they have heaters for the cold days and there’s a cute mini jungle 🌴 🌿

We had a really lovely experience here over the weekend. The service was excellent and the wine and food were really good as well. I had never had orange wine before but the staff were great at explaining what it would taste like and talking us through the menu. We ended up having a meat and cheese board too which was perfect. We would definitely recommend a visit for a round of wine, for the great service and for the cool atmosphere too.

One of the many wine-focused bars under the roof of the Coal Drops Yard, offering quite a wide selection of various red and white wines from all over the world (mainly Spain, Italy and France), although there are very few good options (snacks) and the cheese platter was below expectations. Overall, the atmosphere is nice, with the Yard’s lights all over the roof contributing to it. Summary ————— Food & drinks - 3/5 Atmosphere - 4/5 Personnel - 3/5

The atmosphere is cosy and chilled. Chicken goujons lovely with fig and blue cheese salad. So coming back here with friends

As you can tell by the name, this is the place to go to for a glass of wine (and food). I've never even heard of orange wine, but it was on the menu. I thought it was going to be fluorescent in colour (imagination running wild), but it was just a bit golden and not orange at all. I tried a bit but I didn't really like it... Stick to what you know huh. Food was good, although we should have ordered more of that and less 🍷 Wheelchair access ♿ ✅. Step free but they didn't have their own accessible toilets so you would have to use the ones next door.
