The Dungeon is hands down my favorite bar in NOLA. The decor is awesome, the ambiance is great. There's an excellent selection of drinks. The entryway through the alley is really cool, and the bouncers are very friendly. Can't recommend this place enough if you are a fan of metal!

Very cool place to stop for a quick drink. Gotta walk thru a dark alley to get to their door. No photos allowed but I snagged one of the outside. The bar tender was nice. Very dark and laid back with Gothic style decor.

If you're into a rock/alternative vibe, I highly recommend it! This themed bar has an edgy, almost Rob Zombie-esque aesthetic that adds to its dark and mysterious allure. I initially wanted to visit just to see what it looked like inside, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Witch’s Brew, which was a solid drink, and the overall setting made for a unique experience. The space is on the smaller side, which encourages conversation—if you don’t mind yelling over the music! One of my favorite parts was the dungeon seating , which added to the immersive atmosphere. If you visit, don’t forget to check out the second floor—I almost missed it because I was a little nervous, but it was worth it! The courtyard is also a must-see; I absolutely loved it. While I see The Dungeon as more of a one-and-done stop for myself, I’d definitely go back if someone I was traveling with wanted to experience it. Overall, a must-visit for anyone who loves rock, alt, and a bit of the eerie! 🤘🏽

We had an absolute BLAST at this place! The fun started immediately as we met our "guide" at street level and followed him down a few narrow corridors and a suitably creepy downstair descent to the dungeon area. I'm a huge metal fan and upon entering I was greeted by sonic joy. The other patrons were also into it and many conversations started. Great night! Bartender was awesome, the crowd was cool, vibe was kicking, drinks were tasty, the decor was over the top..... Can't say enough about how much fun the wife and I had. Even if you're not a metal music fan, JUST GO!

This is a dive bar with a dungeon facade. Two floors with a variety of decor and three separate bars. There were no real activities here just tourists gawking at decor. There was a bouncer type at the door giving the appearance I was entering a real play zone. The staff were friendly. The drinks were light and cheap. The music was a good mix of rock and metal. My only excitement was finding a Giger copy on the wall.

Great small bar space with a super fun dungeon theme. Digital jukebox for tunes. Drinks are well made and flow smoothly, bartenders are friendly and make sure everyone has drinks as needed. Standard NoLa pricing is fair but not super cheap. I recommend checking it out!

We had the best time at this bar! The bartender Molly was fantastic! The Mansinthe Swiss Absinthe was so good, especially when mixed with Sprite, just ask Molly for the special "Olly Super Power Absinthe", drink. Tell her Holly sent you! They also have an amazing jukebox with tons of 90's punk and great alternative tunes!

The Dungeon is a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of New Orleans for those who love a dark, edgy atmosphere. This bar stands out with its Gothic theme, low lighting, and eerie décor, which sets the perfect mood for a night of adventure. The music leans heavily toward rock and metal, adding to the rebellious vibe. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced, and the staff keeps the energy high. It can get crowded, but that only adds to the intense and unique experience. If you’re into something offbeat and enjoy the alternative scene, The Dungeon is a must-visit.
