Carne Mare, a Contemporary Italian Chophouse from Chef Andrew Carmellini, Opens in the Gulch | Eater Nashville

"Opened last month by Luke Ostrom and Josh Pickard as a brighter bistro occupying a prime street-level spot on the north side of W Nashville, The Dutch has already received an enthusiastic reception from diners, according to the NoHo team. Stylistically it shares the owners’ approach of sourcing artwork and finds from local shops—an aesthetic thread that links The Dutch and Carne Mare—creating a contemporary take on warm, old-world touches in The Gulch." - Eater

The Dutch is in a great location, close to the railway station and all the shops and nice places to eat. We had the extra large room, which had an awesome vibe!!! The breakfast was simple but excellent. It was amazing we were able to leave our luggage safely there after checkout till our train departed. The staff were friendly too. The Dutch was a highlight of our trio and we'd love to stay there again.

This hotel is Instagram perfect but irl it's not that pretty at all. ||||There is a lot of mold in the bathroom. The rooms are poorly insulated: not only do you hear everything from your neighbours you also hear everything that's happening on the street. The breakfast is ok but not very special. Location is good but there are better options in the same area.

This is a nice modern hotel very close to the centre of Maastricht. My room was spacious, with a coffee table and chair as well as a high working desk with a bar stool. The bathroom had a bath and shower, all very clean. The breakfast buffet is a little limited in choice, but still good. Nice coffee machine. The hotel has an inner courtyard (the jungle) which is quite cool. Be aware that there's no reception, you check in on an automated counter, ring the door bell if the door is closed when you arrive. Friendly staff. Overall a good experience.

We had a little situation with check-in, our correspondence with the hotel did not match the booking. This hotel is self service. We needed to contact staff via landline. Conveniently provided near by. Things eventually got sorted out. We got our original booking. This was and is the only thing I could complain about. Everything else was tippy top for a self-service hotel. Extremely innovative for this class of lodging. The honesty bar was well stocked and reasonably clean. Easy to use and fairly priced. Our large room was well designed, functional and fun. We both appreciated the room provided two sleeping pillows each. The breakfast was fresh and adequate. We didn't personally use the court yard or entertainment room but maybe for next time. As we enjoyed our stay so much we plan to come back next time we go shopping in Maastricht. I would have given this hotel 5 stars across the board. But being a self service hotel the check-in took a hit and I think that one element hangs with me because of the category of the hotel. Otherwise we are both looking forward to coming back to both Maastricht and this really cool hotel " The Dutch".

This hotel is so cozy and it is actually super clean. The beds are so comfortable and the area is super nice, never felt safer. I was here for a work trip and the experience was amazing. I love Maastricht!

The xl- room itself was great (the tub is fantastic) . This is a self service hotel, so essentially no staff are around after 3pm (we were informed of this at check in). The location is basically only convenient to the train, otherwise it’s close to the bridge that takes you into town in 15 mins by walking. We paid extra and arranged for late check out at 1pm but at 11:45 someone was knocking on our door asking when we are leaving. This left a really poor last impression, as we literally paid extra to stay until 1pm.

We were surprised that there was no one to assist with our check-in. It did end up OK. Room was fine. Great location. I would stay there again.

Yelp
Had the utter misfortune of booking a night at The Dutch and we will never darken their doors again Only after hitting the submit button did I notice the date did not match my original search. I immediately called customer service but they would only volunteer to contact the hotel to see if the hotel would "permit" the change .....guess what? They didn't. If I'd tried to change after a day or even after 1 hr, sure, hold me accountable but when I'm calling you literally within 15 seconds to alert you there is a problem and I not only was looking for a different date but I was looking for TWO nights & not one. Nope. They could not have cared less & I was now committed to staying for 1 night, 2 months earlier than I had searched for And how awesome that I am a gold member on a certain "hotels" booking site. They were useless! So if you're looking for a hotel that offers decent customer service and would be a repeat-worthy visit, this is not the place. I cannot believe your customer service is so strict that someone calling within seconds, to alert an error has been made, is given zero consideration or benefit of the doubt. So yeah, you got 1 night out of me. You could have had 2 nights and a repeat visitor. Never again......

Yelp
I stayed at the Dutch one night, January 1-2 2022. The bed was comfy. The only issue is as a human passionate about wildlife conservation and animal welfare I was offended and disgusted at the stuffed dead flamingos and parrots killed for trophies and decorations inside the lobby. Animals have feelings and thoughts just like humans. They do expierence suffering. I highly doubt they were just found dead in the wild not killed by a human. Shame on the murderer, the human who killed them and on who ever at the hotel who bought the display and whoever stuffed the corpses. Stuffed animals and trophy hunting are The bed was comfy.
