Twin Cities Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know, September 2025 | Eater Twin Cities

"Across from the former Eagle Street Grille site, this new St. Paul sports bar—co-owned by Joe Kasel, who ran the original for 20 years—takes over the former Apostle Supper Club space with a casual menu of burgers, wings, wraps, and pub fare like Reuben quesadillas and Irish nachos, alongside craft cocktails and live entertainment." - Jeffy Mai

We ordered the Club Wrap and Italian Sandwich and Cheese Curds. The food was okay but overpriced with hidden fees. Value was awful for pricing. The burger was $17 and came with a tiny bag of chips. There was a 3 dollar upcharge to get fries! The same amount of cheese curds were $17 dollars! How does it make sense to have an appetizer the same price as a meal? They charged $0.50 for the ranch that says it comes with the cheese curds. I don't like hidden fees. They also charge you 3% for using a credit card, which they don't tell you till you get the bill. Save yourself the hassle and try one of the other restaurants nearby or eat at the arena if you're going to a Wild game. The arena prices are better for the value. Waitress was nice, although food service was a little slow. The club wrap was a normal size that you would get most places, but also $17.

We came here on Jan 1st for late night happy hour. We verified with the Bartender that they were indeed doing HH and he confirmed. Upon closing out we did not receive the HH pricing onnour beers or apps. There was also an event auto grat added. There was no event at tje arena on this evening. We questioned the Bartender and he stated there was nothing he could do about and that it's all pre-programmed into the POS. We will NOT be returning If this is how the run their business.

Service was good and the waitress was friendly. It took a while for us to get our food, but it was busy and we weren't in a rush. Food quality was OK; acceptable but also forgettable. The price was exorbitant for the quantity of food. The menu says burgers come with 2, 3oz patties, so 6oz of meat total. Except that isn't true of all burgers. My burger had only 1, 3oz patty that was so small I couldn't even see it between the bread until I started eating (see picture). For $17, I expect more. It didn't even come with fries to fill me up, those were an extra $3. Instead it came with a bag of store-bought, single-serving chips. In comparison, the overpriced hockey stadium across the street serves "gourmet" burgers with 2, 4oz patties and waffle fries for $14.50. I could have gotten more food for cheaper at a sports game... We also got some cheese curds, which were also $17. The portions and quality were similar to New Bohemia down the street, except New Bohemia only charges $11. Even the hockey stadium only charges $8.29 for cheese curds,, less than half as much as Eagle Street for similar portions. The menu says it comes with a sauce of choice, but then they charge you another $0.50 for it. On top of all this there is a 3% surcharge applied for using a credit card that they don't tell you about until you get the bill. Overall, very shady business practices bordering on false advertising.

Went there two nights ago. We asked the server about the happy hour and he said the happy hour is listed on the menu so we ordered drinks and food based on that. When we closed out after hh had ended, he rang our stuff in at that time and refused to honor the hh even though we had ordered over an hour before it ended. When we brought it up, we were faced with rudeness and told to contact the manager the next day to have it corrected because he didn't know how to fix it. Will not be returning.

We stopped before the concert. We weren't sure what to expect in the new location. I have to say with our high expectations, we were thrilled! Our bartender was so fun! (Skinny, bald guy, we think his name was Jer?) He gave great suggestions on our drinks. He wasn't bothered by our loud crew, in fact, he celebrated it! After we got to the concert we'd wished we had just stayed and partied with the bartender instead! Can't wait to grab some girlfriends and go see him again!

This place is exactly what our city needed a bar that truly embraces Saint Paul’s unique charm. Located right across from the Grand Casino Arena, this is the Eagles Street 4th Quarter comeback we’ve all been waiting for. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance with great windows that actually connect you to the neighborhood energy outside, excellent food at reasonable prices, and consistently outstanding service. Special shoutout to Dan Wilson! My guy is the perfect representative of Saint Paul and hands down the best bartender ever. His bar chat and genuine care for customers really sets the tone for the whole place. Maddy and Katie slay as servers! This is quickly becoming my go-to spot. Saint Paul’s nightlife scene just got a major upgrade

Probably the worst limoncello spritz I’ve had. It should be made with real limoncello, not a premade spritz. It was basically all champagne and soda. The server was great and offered another drink which was nice. We wanted to sit on the patio since it’s 70° outside, but they said the patio was closed for the year which is crazy because it just opened a few weeks ago. Definitely won’t be coming back to this place.

Had a nice lunch here, walleye sandwich, tenderloin sliders and wild rice soup. Really cool vibe and space. My daughter has a broken leg and in a wheelchair. We used valet parking at Courtyard, pretty easy. Can’t wait to come back during a wild game. This place will be on FIRE!!

Yelp
Stopped in to the new Eagle Street where Apostle used to be and it was such a fun vibe! Service was great! We went for a drink before a preseason Wild game. Perfect location for pregaming or dinner before a game/concert. Parking: Paid meter street parking ofree valet parking for up to 2 hours They have 2 bars- one inside and one outside. Sometimes they have live music, open until 1am and they have space for private events. The patio was a cool vibe! Bar seating, cornhole, more seating and a view of the arena! I can't wait to go back for live music and dinner and drinks with friends! So happy to have Eagle Street back!

Yelp
We were excited to try the food here, but had to yell at each other the entire time we were there. Even though there was a game across the street the bar was empty but the music was blasting so loud we couldn't really enjoy the space.

Yelp
New place and thought I'd give it a try. Quite a disappointment. It started with ordering a drink. I asked the bartender (tall, bald, bearded guy) what gins they had. He looked at me and named 2 gins and said "..I think that's it". Didn't bother to check or validate. I got up and walked to the bar and found 2 other gins they have. If you don't know, look. It's only 10 steps to see! I had the Irish nachos. Nice take on nachos with the addition of corned beef. That said, corned beef was really dry and stringy. Maybe chopped would have been better. I was starving so I powered through about half of it before giving up. Summary: service was decent; not good. Food is not good. That said, I'll come back once more and try something else once they get a bit more experience under their belt. Updated review to follow....

Yelp
They blast music through the restaurant and outside all hours of the day at an insanely high volume, and often have very terrible live music. Please for the love of god turn the music down

Yelp
Was excited about a new place opening up in the neighborhood, food was ok but pricey. Staff were nice but we had to wait a long time for service. Music was way too loud to enjoy a conversation of the friends I went with. With Zamboni's, Smorgies, and Patrick McGovern's right nearby, won't be going back.
