This place blew me away! I am vegan and gluten free and I had SO MANY options! My heart, soul and body are all happy! So happy that after I ate my tacos and drank my coffee I got another coffee and a grilled cheese to go! This place is adorable and wonderfully welcoming place for all with phenomenal food. Delicious tasting food that is also good for you and the earth! Thank you for being open and serving people like me. I appreciate you more than you know!

Google
I sure would be interested to know what happened to my previous review of the Earth. Oh well, my wife and I enjoy a plant-based diet and our go-to breakfast place in Norman is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Earth doesn't have breakfast burritos but they have these breakfast tacos with tofu and pico de gallo that are ridiculously good. Give the Earth a try today. Your mouth and tummy will love you for it! The second picture is a vegan Reuben!!

Google
Charming café with amazing food, delicious cold brew, and a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the quiche of the day with a side salad and smoothie. Everything was perfect. The quiche had a flaky, buttery crust that tasted like a recipe passed down through generations. The salad was bright, crisp, and fresh. The banana–blueberry smoothie was served promptly and was tasty and filling. The staff were incredibly friendly as my dog and I enjoyed the summer weather on the back patio. This spot is a true gem. Highly recommend!

Google
Unique little cafe we happened to be staying next door in the Earth House (amazing on its own) but we stopped in to order Organic smoothies and they were the best. This little place gets packed. It has indoor and outdoor seating a huge lot in back and picnic and outdoor tables. The menu has something for everyone. They have items available that you can buy such as bread and bakery items. Everything was very fresh. They had organic peanut butter and honey. The list can go on this place was great. We’ll definitely be back.

Google
Wow! The vegan breakfast tacos with tofu, vegan strawberry jam with bagel, vegan no bake, with some coconut water was the best! This place has a bunch of desserts, drink choices, vegan and vegetarian friendly menu, and is worth every bite. I mean, this place has food so good they will blow your mind and peel your taste buds back at the same time! Thanks for a great brunch! I'll be back

Google
Such a lovely little shop. I came in after searching for a place with healthier choices and seeing great reviews online. I have not been disappointed!!! So far I’ve tried the Port (portobello mushroom sandwich), the “Pick two” with the veggie chili and small earth salad, a vanilla iced latte, and a blondie. I really recommend this place and plan to come back as often as I can to try all the great options they offer!

Google
We stopped in here after running some errands. We hadn’t eaten here in a while because we don’t live on the east side of Norman. I thought the food was good. I got a Turkey Melt sandwich and my wife got the Tuna Salad sandwich on Rye with a side of carrots and humus. Everything was very fresh.

Google
Earth Cafe is my absolute favorite spot! Not everything on the menu is vegan, but their vegan options are incredible, fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. You can really tell they care about quality and ingredients. Everything is fresh, and the desserts are to die for. Whether you're vegan or just love great food, Earth Cafe is a place you’ll keep coming back to.

Yelp
Love coming here whenever I'm craving something healthy and clean! I'm so sad I moved away from Norman, but my best friend and I used to come here all the time for our morning smoothies. We always got the #3 smoothie (banana, mango, and pineapple), usually with added kale or spinach, and sometimes with apple or orange juice as well. It's so tasty and never bitter! We also love their tuna sandwich, veggie chili, and lavender cake, such comforting and delicious choices every time.

Yelp
We're visiting from Los Angeles, and as anyone who's traveled knows, finding good vegan food in Oklahoma can be a bit of a challenge. But tucked right in the heart of Norman, just off Flood Avenue, is a hidden gem: The Earth Cafe & Deli -- a true vegan sanctuary. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in the calming scents of incense, earth tones, and wholesome organic food. It instantly felt like finding fresh spring water in the middle of a desert -- refreshing, grounding, and exactly what we didn't know we were missing. The space is cozy and welcoming, with Persian-style rugs across the floor, a beautiful Victorian-style ceiling, and a sweet little patio perfect for warm-weather days. It reminded us of some of our favorite old spots back home -- like The Source on Sunset, Planet Raw in Santa Monica, The Bodhi Tree in West Hollywood, or Follow Your Heart in the West Valley -- all rolled into one heartfelt, soul-nourishing place. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The vibe here is warm, kind, and familiar -- like reconnecting with an old friend. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last!

Yelp
OBSESSED I only wish I had started going here sooner. The baked goods are incredible. The moon maiden is a perfect grilled cheese with sprouts and avocado on it!! I want to try more of the juices. The space is perfect, being in an old house. Parking behind the building is easy, but I haven't been there when it's been busy. The employees have all been so friendly and helpful. I always feel cozy and cared for here. Thank you!!

Yelp
Great fresh juices and smoothies and sandwiches! I love the Turkey & Provolone on gluten free bread. And the staff is always friendly and kind. I also love the natural (not corporate) vibe and the lovely, natural sitting area out back amongst the garden and trees. Forever customer

Yelp
I went to The Earth Cafe today for a quick to-go lunch. I ordered The Ricky (salad with antibiotic and hormone-free turkey, greens, sprouts, olives, tomatoes, feta, and avocado). It wasn't quick, but the deliciousness of the salad more than made up for the wait. They were busy with in-shop orders and take-out orders because the food is so good. They ran out of the honey mustard dressing I ordered, also because it is so good. They make it fresh, with local honey. I went with the roasted red pepper vinaigrette, and was not disappointed. The service is not always fast, but it is always kind. The feeling is comfortable and you can tell The Earth has tons of regulars. This place is a gem and it always has been. I recommend it to all, even if you aren't into healthy food. There is something for everyone.

Yelp
This place was awesome! Best Reuben I've had. The FLATS sandwich was tasty and full of veggies. The iced chai was delicious. We will be back!

Yelp
My daughter and I had smoothies. They were good. If you have a disability it may be hard to get around the property. This place also does not offer a lot of products without soy. It is definitely not a place to bring a kid who likes to have meat with their meal. This place did not seem to have a welcoming atmosphere to families either. I have chronic health conditions and was hoping this place could be somewhere we could all eat but it was a disapointment.
google avatar

Scarlett P.

Yelp
Great food and vibes. Option to sit outside or inside. I'm not vegan but sometimes I just want to have a bunch of flavorful veggies and this is my go to place. I personally love the Ollie chili pie. I also appreciate that they sell low waste products inside

Yelp
Made from the same stardust fellow earthlingsin love feels like home.Thank you for that intentional magic new friends!By far Best place in Oklahoma.Cant wait to tell everyone I know.

Yelp
I love their vegan Moonmaiden sandwich with sourdough bread. It's just a delicious combination with the vegan "cheese", avocado; and sprouts. I've also had their peanut butter and honey sandwich and that was comforting to eat. Their daily soups are also very delicious! Cashier is always kind. It does take awhile to get food, usually about 20 minutes but it's worth it especially if you call ahead to order.
google avatar

Jerry A.

Yelp
I had a tuna sandwich and it was delicious. Worth the money. There is parking is on the back, which was a bit confusing. Other than that excellent customer service.

Yelp
possibly the greatest place on earth . been loving this spot from the first time i walked in 20 years ago & got a smoothie . foods off the charts & the highest quality ingredients you can find in town . plus there's an energy and ambiance you just can't quite explain with words . i'm a sucker of the tuna or turkey melt & the breakfast mountain . my partner loves the chili pies & tempeh reuben. so many veggie and vegan options your head will spin . plus it's run by some of the first earthlings we've ever met . if you skip the earth you are missing out on a magical experience .
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little place, much more hippie than one might expect in Oklahoma, with tasty food. I wasn't super blown away (hence 4* rather than 5*) but I also can't fault it. Moonmaiden had a nice blend of textures, and the kale lentil soup was nice and fresh. Certainly worth the walk from OU campus.

Yelp
Every trip to The Earth leads to self-care, environmental nurture, and support of a local small business that cares about the community. Whether you order a delicious coffee, smoothie, something sweet, an entire meal or pick up groceries - many grown or produced nearby - you are guaranteed quality and service with a smile. Today I opted for breakfast tacos and a latte and got a Cowgirl Cookie to surprise a friend. There was a line, but it moved fast and my wait was shorter than expected. All remarkably fresh and delicious, as expected. The Earth is a Norman treasure, a true blessing to our community.

Robin D.

Yelp
Everything about this place is great. The food the staff, the atmosphere you can't go wrong.
google avatar

Teaira J.

Yelp
I loved how you automatically question this place from the inside and out. It has a rough but natural vibe to it which I find intriguing. Their menus has a good variety from breakfast dishes to sandwiches to comfort food. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough "meat" on my Ruben and the price was a bit steep. I'd love to try something else from this cool cafe. Very different and for me, that's a good thing.
google avatar

Julie R.

Yelp
All the fresh ingredients and the addition of sprouts, shredded carrots, and farmers cheese make this the best turkey sandwich in town. I get mine without mustard but it comes with mustard and mayo. Be sure to get a molasses cookie and if they have it coconut cake.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Yummers!! Dank healthy stuff! They make most stuff homemade and it's delish. The hummus is so great! This is one of the only places I have found in Norman that actually makes fresh good tasting healthy food with love! Thanks guys
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
The atmosphere was cool, customer service great! I wanted a healthy desert; and this review is solely based off of the two deserts I ate. The lavender cake was not flavorful it tasted under cooked flour, and the icing was gritty and oily tasting . so I went back to try another desert, lemon blueberry scones. The cashier hyped up the scone saying it was her favorite and it's taking everything out of her to not eat one! At first bite of the tip of sone it was good, but when I broke it open the dough stretched and was wet which means it was still raw dough. The line got long so I just threw it out and gave up on my sweet tooth. So I don't recommend the desserts. My husband insist that I go back but it's all in support of small businesses which I expect to get better food honestly

Yelp
The Earth has been around for decades and while it used to be more of a market, it's now more of a restaurant, although it's not really setup for dine in unless you want to sit on their back patio which, admittedly, I wasn't even aware of until today. The service was fine and the price point was reasonable. I'm just glad that there is a place I can go to get a quick bite that's decently healthy in a town where everything else is brown and deep fried. I tried their banana and kale smoothie with spirulina added and it was exactly what I needed.

Amy S.

Yelp
Amazing service. Fresh, local and clean produce/products. Organic, gluten free and vegan options. Amazing bakery items. The vibe got even better with the remodel.
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
Super good food at this place, first spot I went to when the area started to reopen. Parking is a bit of a mess but the food is super good, natural, and not loaded with tons of sauces or seasoning, you can actually taste your foods. Plenty of options here for the many different diet plans, overall healthy and great food, great fast service!
google avatar

Laura N.

Yelp
I love this little spot! Great food options especially if you're gluten free and vegan. Precious little grocery store and the staff is always friendly!
google avatar

Holly F.

Yelp
This is a great place to get fresh healthy food. They have a lot of good plant based options. There is also a mini market inside with many specialty healthy items. There is also lots of outdoor seating making it a perfect place to eat and even study on a nice day! The smoothies are delicious! The only downside is the food is a bit pricey.

Michael T.

Yelp
I stopped by this place because I wanted a healthy meal on my way out of the city and what an amazing surprise! I got their tofu scramble and it was delicious. The sourdough bread was also on point.
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
So cute. On a cooler day, do yourself a favor and sit outside. Get their hummus sandwich. Period. It sounds so simple but it hits. Every time. I always get the #2 juice and the southwest salad is really good too!!

Yelp
I've been a fan of The Earth since...what...the 70s? I very rarely go back to Oklahoma, but when I do, I make a point of eating their always-awesome food. I've seen this place go through various incarnations through the years and I have to say. I really miss their Campus Corner location. Now, they have a teeny, tiny eatery in the old location on Flood Street in Norman. The second you walk through the door, you know where you are. The scintillating aromas of the herbs and spices give you an instant nose high. (That isn't really a thing. I just made it up.) The food is amazing. Absolutely amazing. I recommend the fake chicken salad sandwich on 3 seed wheat bread., but I always order sliced avocado to go with it. The juices are nice and fresh, but I wish they'd put them in a cocktail shaker with ice for a second before they serve them. Sometimes they're a little bit warmer than room temperature. They're always delicious, though. The no-bake cookies are just like mom used to make, and that phenomenal Rose Cake is the best cake I've ever tasted anywhere EVER. I think they're wrong not to put out a cookbook containing these recipes. It wouldn't hurt their business at all. People don't like to stay home and cook all the time. They'd still go to eat at The Earth. It would just make them more famous. Fortunately, I found a recipe on Pinterest that is very close...but I'll still order it from The Earth forever. Great place. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere. Great food. It's pretty much perfect AND you can buy cheap rose rocks there if you want to.

Makhenzie H.

Yelp
If you are vegan this is the place to go. I adore their tofu scramble and all the pastries. The employees are kind and patient. The atmosphere is very crunchy but I don't think anyone will yell at you for wearing leather.

Yelp
The rating is strictly food alone. It was delicious !!! Daughter had the vegan Reuben. Hubby had the vegan flat sandwich with chili. I had the half tuna sandwich with the chili. We all loved our food! You order and pay for your food at the counter. Have a seat outside and they bring it out to you. If they have a meal plan for university students, my daughter would choose to eat here every day since they are only about a mile away from the OU campus. It is in a very old house with overgrown bushes on the front. Might be the only business on the street. If it wasn't for Google maps, we probably would have drove pass it. It is a natural grocery store/restaurant combo with a very hippy vibe. There is no indoor seatings; however, there are ample seatings outside on the back patio and garden. I guess when the weather is cold, it would be just take out. We also ordered a few vegan pastries items. They were yummy too!

Mike D.

Yelp
Was in town for work and looking for a healthier alternative to the breakfast buffet at the Embassy Suites. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with added sunny side up eggs. The food was excellent and hit the spot. Gravy was thick and "meaty". Definitely recommend this place for vegetarian alternatives. Only option was to-go orders. There isnt a dining area to eat. There are tables out back but it was raining, so be aware if you are looking to sit. Didnt shop the grocery part but had a look around. If you are into the granola lifestyle you will feel right at home. That's not a knock, this is a very small alternative grocery that caters to a specific clientele. Much like Whole Foods was in the 70s, small and local, and they seem to take their food/sourcing seriously. Will be back for sure next time I find myself in Norman.

Shawna G.

Yelp
Delicious, healthy food with a warm atmosphere and friendly faces!! Get there early if you want some biscuits and gravy - they sell out quick!
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
Great place to eat! Vibe is great and staff is chill laid back super polite. You can buy small grocery items and seasoning. I ordered Jim's salad and the marinated mushrooms taste extremely good. Plenty of parking behind restaurant and maybe four spaces in the front. They make the salad dressing from scratch and meals are prepared from scratch. Great vibe!
google avatar

Kayli M.

Yelp
Food was really good! Loved sitting outside under the trees. Lots of variety and can handle different needs, vegetarian, gluten... nice to have that.
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
The Earth lives up to its name - its not just got the friendliest vibe in Norman, but the tastiest, freshest, healthiest food you will find short of cooking at home - and you'll not likely match the dishes that Kate and Richard have gathered over years of serving hungry customers. Try a delicious , healthy smoothie, the famous get-it-here-only moon-maiden, or humus that has Mediterraneans coming back. The giant, magic back yard fills with chirping birds in the summer and fall, and the Earthlings will always leave you with a smile .
google avatar

Leslie D.

Yelp
One of my favorite little restaurants in Norman! If you're looking for some great vegan comfort food, or if you just prefer locally sourced ingredients in a funky environment, this is the place for you. My fave: a vegan Reuben with greens and a side of roasted red pepper vinaigrette.
google avatar

Genevieve F.

Yelp
Oh my! I felt like I was stepping into a hippie/ health food store from the 1970s. So much nostalgia came flooding back. There was discordant jazz, then 60s music, then who knows? I felt like I've was home. I ordered the vegan nachos. They are so yummy, with vegan chili and cheese and tomatoes and sour cream and avocado and jalapeños and corn and . . . I could rhapsodize about the flavor and the textures but let's just say I'm extremely pleased. I did get the lettuce on the side because I got it to go and I knew it'd be wilted and yuck. I ordered a side of takin' (fake meat). It was so good. Wonder if they'd give me the recipe? They have a small grocery store. They have bulk herbs in mason jars. They have beans in a dispenser. So much nostalgia. I felt like sentimental crying, but for what? The place like this is my younger days no longer exists except in the memories of those of us who are aging. There's a new generation to appreciate the quirky individuality of such restaurants and stores. I hope the owners and the next generation keep alive places like this.

Yelp
Very small very cute! Staff is very friendly food is yummy def coming back to here again

Yelp
This place did not disappoint. I've had it bookmarked for months and it exceeded all expectations. In the inside there's not only a deli but also a little market to shop for fresh produce, local products, and lots of different teas. The vibe in here is very trendy and appeals to people who are vegetarian, vegan, or just want to be healthy. When parking in the back I noticed a garden. I'm not sure if they grow all of their own produce and I don't think they'd be able to do that year round but it was great to see they try to stay local. It does get packed and the place is tight but there's a few tables inside, bar seating, and patio seating. I went today and placed an order to go. The wait was pretty long but the place was packed and lots of people who ordered ahead of me. It wasn't too bad considering you can shop around while waiting. I ordered the banana and kale smoothie for a light lunch and it was delicious. I ordered the port for my bf and tried a bite. Oh my gosh the portobello mushrooms were the best I've ever had! I will be back here and dare I say maybe become a regular?

Angela M.

Yelp
Best option in Norman for a healthy meal. They'll make it specific to your dietary restrictions happily. Gluten free, organic, steamed, dry toasted. They really try to accommodate! Love the Ruben.
google avatar

Jase I.

Yelp
Food was excellent, but more importantly the atmosphere was so cool. I enjoyed sitting out in garden and having my meal, this is fantastic business, I'll certainly be back!

Andrea A.

Yelp
I love this restaurant and have for years! Delicious healthy food in a cool vibe. I always get a piece of lavender cake on fridays!

Yelp
First time coming to this cute little place in Norman, and i am NOT disappointed!!! i got the vegan chili, and my boyfriend got the reuben sandwich with the Daiya cheese!!! his sandwich is to DIE FOR! and this chili is absolutely AMAZING with the flavors! it's got a sweet but nice savory taste. i got some blue corn tortilla chips with it also, and it just ties it all together. i will recommend this place again and again from here on out! i love finding new vegan friendly places in Oklahoma, and this one will be one of my favorites!

Yelp
This place is funky and fresh. Yes, I know that sounds like a hip hop duo from 1992, but it's true. Southwest salad is excellent, and though the thought of veggie chili on top of mixed greens didn't sound all that appealing, I took the advice of my fellow Yelpers and gave it a shot. I was not sorry. It was super flavorful, perfectly seasoned and surprisingly hearty. Creamy avocado, fresh veggies, crunchy chips..it just all works. Get it with salsa instead of dressing so you don't hide all that flavor. Also had a banana, blueberry, and peanut butter smoothie with almond milk. At $6 it's pricey, but, wow, totally worth it. Atmosphere is hippie hipster, but I saw more than the college crowd here. The layout makes ordering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time here. Just walk up to the counter where the seats are and grab a menu. After you order you can grab a nearby table or stay seated at the counter. If you are a vegetarian or healthy eater, you will adore this place. If you're not, it's still has lots you will like. Do not fear the veggie.

Yelp
You know when you just feel good after some meals and experiences ? This is one of those spots , a true feel good spot. Everything from delicious sandwiches and fresh pressed juices to local healthy grocery choices when you need to grab a few things for home . The carrot ginger juice is life

Elosia P.

Yelp
Such great food and the staff here is always friendly and helpful. Adorable back patio and garden area to eat at during the Summer. The baked goods here are the real unsung gem.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a lovely spot in Norman. I really appreciate their organic menu which has a great variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. They also have specials that change daily using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. Most recently I had Jim's salad and loved it! The mushrooms are grilled, so that was a nice surprise as well. It was really hearty and kept me full for hours. They have several grocery items along with unique finds. I'd love a shop like this in OKC, and I'll make a point to stop here more often when I'm in Norman!
google avatar

Kara C.

Yelp
A little pricey but good food overall. Like the local grocery section. Pastries are always top tier. Love the people here but wish it didn't break my wallet everytime I went.

Yelp
I agonized over reviewing this place, I wanted so badly to like The Earth Cafe. I gave it stars for the atmosphere and location. I love that it's basically this bitty, adorably eccentric house tucked away in a neighborhood off Flood. It's got a back patio looking out to greenery and inside is a small dining space and some groceries; a general goods store feel. Unfortunately, the food didn't give the same feel good impression. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on honey whole wheat with greens and toasted sesame ginger vinaigrette. The sandwich was at most flavorless, but the dressing was really tasty. I ended up using a lot of it to zest up my wich. Maybe it was just an off day? I'd be willing to try again.
