Explore Easy Does It, the new Logan Square wine bar | Eater Chicago

"One of the city’s most influential bars, the Logan Square music venue brought communities together with concerts and art, and weekend crowds crammed into the space for five years until ownership closed it in November 2019, right before COVID became widespread. I remember it as a major gathering spot that shaped many people's lives—Zack Eastman says there were “really, really cool” things that happened there—and its legacy and atmosphere informed the later renovation of the space." - Ashok Selvam

Easy Does It wine patio opens in Logan Square | Eater Chicago

"Waving goodbye to the former East Room is bittersweet: it lasted six years and provided a tiny spot in Logan Square for DJs and live music, and the team and clientele who loved that scene are being welcomed into the new project even as the pandemic forces a radical change in plans." - Ashok Selvam

Went there multiple times. DJ Ichabod is a friend of ours, and he's always made shows fun. Mom and I recently went to see my uncle Voltiare perform to promote his Summerween album (and an indie animation project he's involved with). Definitely a good place for a goth night

Loved my time here! The atmosphere is so cozy and it's an amazing place to see local artists play. The staff was super nice, and I loved the vibe! You can get really close to the stage where the artists play and it's a great environment to meet people. The balcony has some really neat communal and private seating and a good balcony view of the stage. Bathrooms are spacious and nice and there's a courtyard to step out in if you need. Loved going here! The parking around back isn't too expensive.

Great place to see a show or play a show. Can recommend the Cans of Coke and bottles of water. They have a bar for those that drink. No Food served, they allow re-entry so you can get subway next door or pretzels at Martha's across the street Or Vegan 'food' from the Vegan place next door

Wonderful first time here. As long as Venus is doing the drag shows I will attend here!

There’s something magical about the East Room. It’s a small and intimate venue, and I consider it to be the spot in East Nashville. Every time I’ve been there, the staff has been super friendly and welcoming. The venue has a main floor, a balcony, and an outdoor stage. Each section was clean and well decorated. It felt like I was stepping into another world. I’d love to come back here and watch a comedy show. Fun fact about the East Room: It holds the Guinness World Record for the Longest Stand Up Comedy Show with Multiple Comedians.

Saw the Max Frost show here tonight. Cool little venue. It's one of those "30 people in a living room" kind of places you'll reminisce about seeing your favorite act before they were big. Best described as the paradox of "yeah, my favorite act is still playing places like this," and "damn, my favorite act is still playing places like this."

What a cool venue! It has a very nice set up! There is a searing area upstairs or a large open floor and easy access to the bar from either area. There is also a patio! It's a great venue! We will def be back!

Google
Small, intimate club hidden away on Gallatin, next door to the BeHive. The acoustics were good, beer service was quick, and I was never further than 20ft from the stage. I would definitely go to another show here.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been to The East Room. I remember attending some underground metal and punk shows back in the pre-plague days, seem to remember some ratty couches scattered about in this space. My partner and I hit up one of the "Fascination Street" goth dance nights this past weekend and had an absolute blast. Perfect environment for that, great DJs and an active, friendly, engaged crowd. Drinks are farily priced (for real, like it's not hard Nashville!), and...it's actually clean in here?! Including the bathrooms! Of course, do your best to not have to go to the bathroom while here because it will take you 30 minutes or so to get through the line to reach the stall (but once there it's private and clean, sink within). It's just a really cool space from the stage you can dance on if you choose to plenty of other spaces to dance less in the "spotlight", some chairs and tables and balcony area to relax and chill out a bit as well. Parking can be a beast--there's a free lot out front but with just a few spots, street parking is not super plentiful or prevalent. There are a lot of businesses with full lots and since pretty much anything you come to here is after those businesses are closed one in theory SHOULD be able to park there, but there's a sign that says the Walgreens def tows after midnight (for those 2 am shoppers to a closed location?)--we took a chance at another business and were lucky.

Yelp
Love this place- great music, great bartenders and great people. So much fun and energy and a great vibe.

Yelp
Saw some amazing local music here! Not much seating but it's a great intimate setting. The bar is working on expanding their options but the service was very friendly. Would love to see an easy food option like popcorn or snack mix

Yelp
No shortage of little entertainment venues in Nashville. There is likely some storied past about the East Room, but maybe not as well told as Exit/in's. When you walk in, you get the Exit/in vibe, like the East Room is its smaller sibling. Great staff at the door. Takes care of business, but with a personality and sense of not taking things so seriously. Decent bar and bar staff. Drink prices reasonable by reasonable person standards. Not the insanely overpriced Nashville standard. Nice little stage and audience area which keeps the place intimate enough you can feel a connection with the artists. Great sound. Basic stage lighting. You are going here to listen. We found parking in front and there was decent crowd the night we were there. No one was complaining about parking so must be doable without a lot of stress. Or it could have just been the crowd which was definitely local.

Yelp
Rude employees, awful service, wouldn't accept my ID because I have a red badge that says I'm not 21 at an 18+ show

Yelp
Grungy is the right word for this dark space, very plain, dark, with a stage, a small bar with a wide selection of beers, and 1970's style pleather stools. We went for a stand up comedy show featuring local comedians. The show was about 2 hours long with a $10 cover. They did tell us over the phone the cover was $5 but oh well, still pretty cheap. Those dudes have to make a living some how. Comedians were funny, crowd was laid back. Pretty cool music too. Very unpretentious.

Yelp
We rode on down to the venue; To play with some fellas we knew; It was an okay scene; Not the best place I've been; But we sang till our faces were blue

Yelp
My boyfriend's band has played a few shows here, and it's overall a pretty decent venue. There's limited parking up front, but you can park in the car wash next door for free. They have a pretty open area downstairs with fairly minimal seating, so I'm assuming more dancing happens here than I've yet seen. It did get a bit crowded, so depending on the act you're coming to see, come early if you don't want to lean against the bar all night. Speaking of the bar - decent beer selection, I think they might have some wine too. But they don't have liquor, so pregame before you come! There's an upstairs balcony with some extra seating, and this last time I was around they were using it for merchandise. Half this section is curtained off, so it is cozy up here. I like the casual atmosphere here, and everyone is quite friendly. It's a good place spend an evening and hear some stuff you haven't heard before.

Yelp
My first time here was very recently and it was a pretty good space. It's a little bigger than I expected with lots of standing room by the stage. There are booths along the walls (maybe 3-5?) that seem like they were leftover from a restaurant. Two of the booths are behind/right by the speakers so sound was rough. The booth I was in was falling apart and I was a little nervous about it. There is a tiny bar with just beer. It really feels like someone's basement - kinda homey and relaxed. It seems like a place that is just about the performers and being with people - so it's not pretty and it's hard to hold a conversation. For that it's maybe 5 stars. I give it 4 because the sound wasn't great, seating was weird and the bar is really limited.

Yelp
I've had the time of my life. And I've never felt this way before. I swear. This is true. And I owe it all to the East Room.

Yelp
Saw Datenight here on Friday. The high ceilings and mezzanine are cool, the show was $5 at the door, and the music was pretty good. The place isn't too large, so it's always easy to get a drink at the bar and the staff are all pretty chill. There's a nice outdoor smoking area in the back where you can get away from the crowd between shows. The only bad thing is the bathrooms, there were fairly substantial lines between shows, especially the women's room.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in East Nashville. The East Room regularly has great music acts, and is quickly becoming one of the best places to see live comedy in Nashville. The owner, Ben Jones, is a great guy who does a lot to support local artists. And just a word of wisdom- when you go to the East Room, make sure you order a pizza dog. You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
Went to see some friends play music last night! Pretty decent place. Nothing jumped out and grabbed me as awesome. It was grungy but didn't feel dirty. So that was nice! At first we couldn't find the entrance..... so that was kind of weird. Sounded good in there though! They had a lot of good beer choices, which is great for people who love beer!! I don't though. They did have ciders which was good. But none of my favorites. I tried a new one I'd never had it was in a can... I don't like cans and it didn't taste at all like wild cherry. So some better bottled ciders would be cool:)

Yelp
We came to see my brother in law do stand up - very well organized show. Nice-sized room, good little beer selection (beer only at the bar), and a chill ambience that feels nearly like a house party, especially if you sit on a couch. They appear to book some good local acts and take road warriors as well. For both bands and stand up, definitely a spot to check out when you're pondering what do with an evening.
